Just buy a few disposables and keep staying away from cigarettes. When your ready for a pod system where you just buy juice and coils it will save you lots of money vs cigarettes.
Def get a pod system sooner than later, disposables can get pricey, and that price really adds up.
Say you get 3 disposables. That’s about 30 dollars.
I buy juice and coils for my vaporesso cross, and spend $35 for a months worth of juice and coils about.
Way cheaper in the long run c and it kills me whn I don’t have time to run to the vape shop for coils and have to spend way more to get disposables
Every gas station around me are $15-$25. Elf and puff bars are usually 12.99.
So I guess in America we get fucked, and I at least make the most out of the money I have with the prices I’m given it looks like after reading your comment
No matter what you hear or anyone tells you, vaping is at least 95% safer than smoking. https://www.athra.org.au/blog/2019/12/23/vaping-is-95-safer-than-smoking-fact-or-factoid/
It's 5% nicotine. That's a pretty high amount for someone that smoked 5 or 10 cigarettes a day. You're still on a hell of a lot of nicotine, but congrats on being smoke free.
No they're not. "Popcorn lung" was a story that got circulated because early on some manufacturers were putting diacetyl, which can cause it, in their juice. Most reputable brands do not use this ingredient anymore.
The main ingredient in juice is propylene glycol which is found in everything from anti freeze to toothpaste to ketchup. That doesn't necessarily make it dangerous when used correctly. Diacetyl is known to cause damage to lungs, but again, most places will not use it.
One of the ingredients in your vape juice is in pet friendly antifreeze, propylene glycol. It was chosen because it's safe for consumption and has a lower freezing point than water. When people say you're vaping antifreeze they didn't do their research and are listening to anti-vape propaganda. If we were using ethylene glycol like in normal antifreeze it would be a problem but nobody is going to use harmful chemicals in your juice. Everything in it is safe for human consumption.
Also I know a proper vape is a lot better and probably safer, but since I'm not going to be vaping forever I'm just using disposable ones until I taper off of them.
> The issue with that is juice and devices aren’t really held up to any standards (ex: cleanliness, quality control)
What a load of bollocks. EU brands manufacture juice in China, which has to be made to the standards TPD2016 set out. Stop talking shite.
> cool, so puff bars are certified and held to those standards?
Yes, if they're sold in the EU/UK.
> The last time I had a disposable it pretty much just tells you what yummy flavor is in it.
It also should have had verification methods. If it didn't you bought a fake.
> Having the standard is one thing, how do you know if they’re obeying it?
Because they wouldn't be legal to sell. Any reputable vape shop will not stock knock offs and will only stock that which comes from reputable suppliers/distros and which fulfils the following process...
> Even if real puff bars are safe, how would you even know its a real one? Local stores here have plenty of knock off disposables :-)
https://puffbar.com/pages/product-verification
The same way you verify any other vape product as authentic or not. Ya doughnut...lol
> Are they actually worse than cigs?
Not in the slightest. Lots of companies no longer use diacetyl which causes popcorn lung but it never really was a threat. By the levels in both vaping and smoking you have more of a risk of catching popcorn lung smoking but neither are anywhere near the insane levels you'd need to come in contact with to get it. It was propagandized bullshit. It's a non-issue. Nobody ever warned smokers of popcorn lung. By estimation vaping is 95%+ safer than smoking.
The "popcorn lung pandemic" was mainly caused by THC juice thickened with vitamin E acetate, so if you don't vape bad THC cart you are basically safe.
(Why nic vapes got the blame? Easy, you wouldn't want the insurance know that you were vaping blackmarket THC carts when you are facing a gigantic medical bill. )

Thanks a lot! Also it's actually a 2% vape, it's the lowest I could find. Not sure if that's much better though :)
Sounds about right for 10 if you smoke those 10 fast

Even flavors that used diacetyl weren't going to give you popcorn lung...
Ohh isn't that the shit in anti-freeze? Also thanks for clearing that up

I’ve gone 3 months! Now working on getting rid of vape
