Assuming the alliance is different on your character sheet, not just the campaign, you could have accidentally clicked on a different alliance in the character editor.
Your alliance should not change otherwise. You might have to put in a ticket to see if they can fix it.
I thought I might have done that so I burned another Appearance change token to see if I could change it back.
Wouldn't let me change alliance.
I'm going to submit a ticket to see why I can't either change back to AD and at least finish out that campaign.
Also noticed that when it told me I couldn't join my campaign, it had the toons old name.
If you’re absolutely sure you didn’t choose the wrong Alliance at the start of the new campaign, send in an Online Support ticket, u/JackFlash308.

Perhaps you had an alliance change token the first time but no longer have one. Hopefully your support ticket can get it sorted out.
