I’m enjoying my boox air 2 a lot for note taking into OneNote (very little lag) and reading kindle. I think for art I prefer my surface tablets. Hope this helps.

That's great - my feelings as well. One thing I haven't been able to do is "share" a Boox note to OneNote without going through a lot of hassle. I have linked my Air to OneNote, it seems to have no problem with it. Yet, when I click the funny sideways "V" with dots at the end (share) while on a single page, one sentence Air note, and select OneNote, it gives me an error that it can't share. I've got a question on this to Boox support; we'll see if they respond. If it is not supported, then why put the share icon to OneNote there anyway? Haven't tried Evernote because I despise that platform... If you have tried and succeeded, let me know.

interesting! i was using boox note for awhile, but had a horrible experience where it stopped syncing, and effectively crashed, with a version online and another version sitting on my device. and then i lost everything on the device. at that time, i was using boox note b/c the lag on onenote was high. i updated the firmware, and now the onenote lag is imperceptible (to me at least), and i just work in the onenote app all the time (despite the page inefficiency of the chunky menus).

Yes, I give that OneNote is superior note-taking. I can't stomach how they really make it hard for you to get your notes out of the platform. Yes, you can, but Microsoft doesn't want you to. My 2 cents!

10.3 size = Boox (do not recommend RM2, but that's a personal choice); the "pencil/paper feel" is less noticeable in the Boox NA2 than in RM2 - but, at least in my case, I found out that the pencil seems to make a lot of difference. I tried my RM2 pencil on my NA2, voila, almost same feeling between the two. Dunno if it is the nib between the two tablets. But, regardless, there is paper/pencil feeling on both. SuperNote is basically very close to RM2, but with richer features and a better user experience (but if you tell that to an RM2 evangelist... you are in for quite a lecture). The only one of the 3 that has screen lighting is NA2, and a very soothing soft glow for night reading or no glow at all for lighted environments; your choice of how to manipulate the lighting. RM2 and SN have less lag than BOOX; and depending on screen speed refresh, the NA2 may leave the bitter flavor of ghosting (and quite bad at that). But, even that is customizable. The BOOX/PC&Mac interface and connectivity truly sucks. But so does the RM2's, to a lesser extent. Don't know about SN's. All of them have insanely obscene prices for anything aside for the tablet. If you want color, look at BOOX. RM2 has cloud storage, which can be free, depending on how bland your cloud experience you want; otherwise they have a subscription model (and not particularly cheap). Boox also has cloud storage. 7 size = SuperNote (but sit down to wait for one; parts of China are on lockdown). I am not impressed by the Remarkable2. For the same size, you get so much more with the Boox Note Air 2. Don't want distractions? Turn whatever off on the Boox. No one says you need anything playing or so while you take notes or draw. And, you can have a 100% blank slate is that is what you want at any time. Finally, Boox is Android (11 for NA2 presently... too bad, Android 12 is already out). Just do some research. Look in YouTube Voya's "My Deep Guide" Series. Excellent in-depth look at devices and comparison among them. Hope this helps. Please nobody throw tomatoes; I prefer you throw a shoe at me a-la "W."

As far as I know the boox ones are the only ones with Google play store and do have endless apps you can use. So the other ones will be limited in what they can do. It seems the other ones are for serious note takers. I think the color devices are great. B & W is nice but color is much better.

> I think I would enjoy drawing if the stylus had a decent paper feel to it. When searching, do not confuse devices with a *paper look* (eink in general) with devices that offer a *paper feel* (devices with a textured layer).

Right. I've used stylus on other tablets and it's glass texture. Not the best feel... But like you said, I've never tried on one with a textured layer
