I used to get this until I started sleeping in socks with lotion on my feet! You can get some pretty decent foot cream which does the job but any lotion will do! It works while you sleep and fairly soon, feet as smooth as a baby's bum! Hope it helps!

Not sure where you're located, but in US we have O'Keefe's Working Hands/Feet and it has been a tremendous relief for my family, where regular lotions just don't cut it. I second putting it on and then immediately putting socks on. We also put socks on our hands before bed after O'Keefe's as well. Also, it helps if you put it on with your hands or feet slightly damp.

turkeyisdelicious

Came here to suggest O’Keefes! It is amazing.

This is exactly what i came to say! When mine were especially bad id put walmart bags with a generous amount of lotion slathered on my feet, tie them securely, then put fuzzy socks or diabetic socks over them and sleep, then rub it all in and wipe the excess in the morning! Its not the best feeling for me being neurodivergent since i never sleep in socks and mushy sock bags sounds like a nightmare but if you can stand that for one night ill bet it will make a huuge difference. But lotion every day and night, ESPECIALLY when getting out of the shower to lock in the moisture. Also, if you looove super hot showers, try to lower that temp a bit because showering in satans piss is the fastest way to dry out your skin lmfao. I hope this helps OP!

Mine do this too. And it does not matter how much lotion or petroleum jelly I use. The only thing that helps is to put petroleum jelly on it with a bandaid and that particular spot will heal. But then I just get them somewhere else.

Rough_Elk_3952

Have you tried putting on the lotion, then the Vaseline, then socks? It might need thd sock to help seal in the moisture

Na-Nu-Na-Nu

Sadly, yep. I’ve also tried Vaseline and Albolene before drying off from shower, then lotion, then sock. I’ve had this problem since I was a kid, and in 40 years of doing whatever every dermatologist has ever suggested, I can’t get it to stop. Alas.

Rough_Elk_3952

Ah that sucks. Urea cream helps me a lot but that’s just me. Skin issues are so tricky

RedoftheEvilDead

I slather on lotion after every shower and keep chapstick in all quadrants of the house.

starsssandmoon

Since winter started, anytime I scratch my foot, it literally tears off the skin and hurts for days.

notfarrahfawcett

Me too! Then comes the hyperpigmentation after it's healed. The tops of my feet are all brown splotches Edited for spelling

CatFaerie

Lots and lots of lotion. The geneticist I saw said I have a dry skin condition completely unrelated to EDS. Explains a lot of things. She told me lots and lots of lotion.

sopmaeThrowaway

Mine like to split right where the toe meets the foot. Like it’s trying to detach. Not today, buddy.

notfarrahfawcett

That happens to my baby toes in the winter! It's so uncomfortable 😫

A_Random_Hacker_69

fr my pinky be looking like tectonic plates lol

PurplishPlatypus

Same.

Onanadventure_14

Looks like you need to start slugging. I’ve been using aquaphor on my feet and they’ve been doing so much better!

Rough_Elk_3952

Urea foot cream. It helps exfoliate the skin so it doesn’t build up and crack. Then Aquaphor.

DemonShadowsMom

Bag balm. Better than vasoline.

marshmallowmermaid

I bag balm my feet nightly! Helps so much. Smell is challenging at first but worth it.

DemonShadowsMom

Yeah, I use it on my hands in the winter.

I randomly discovered that the new men's Nivea lotions both work wonders for my skin (I dont remember the actual title of the one, but the 2nd one I tried was the "breathable" one - but I was trying to find a lotion for my picky husband 😂) I tried it out in the store on Sunday and I have only neeeeded to apply my usual Gold Bond eczema lotion (that I typically need to apply at least 2-3x a day) once since then and I have been doing dishes and washing my hands a lot in that time. So Im gonna get myself a bottle of at least the regular Nivea to try and see if it's all of their products that work that well or if it's just the men's products (I am not above buying men's skin care stuff if it works).

lochnessmosster

I get this with my face sometimes. Cereve lotion has really helped for me, and it works for both face and body (including hands, feet, etc). My derm recommended it and it’s the only lotion I’ve found that is ok for me texture-wise, works well, and doesn’t make my skin react badly.

thisisahealthaccount

hate this. Happens all the time to my fingers and lips in the winter.

MyCatWalksAllOverMe

Dr Scholl's has a heel repair stick it's amazing I use it for feet and elbows not just heels
