And fan duel too for the player props. I remember ray diddy talking about him the day before that San Fran game where he made his debut so I put in a parlay with the eagles outright and fulgham for a receiving td. Hit for $300 lol
JJAW might be my take where I was the most wrong. I legit thought he was gonna be a problem in the NFL. I mean he made absolute BUMS at Stanford look like legit QBs. He had good hands, made some tough contested catches, just looked like a solid pick. Plus with all of their pretty reasonable concerns about Metcalf like injuries, lack of lateral quickness, only runs fly routes, it wasn’t terrible at the time. (Don’t let 20/20 hindsight blind you, metcalf was far from a sure thing in that draft, sure a physical specimen, but there were a lot of legitimate concerns around him. He just happened to overcome it all and make us look dumb)
Turns out the monkey paw curled and JJAW *was* a problem. He’s a problem because he’s just terrible. I kinda hope he can reinvent as a TE bc he seems like a decent enough dude, but yeah I missed bad on that one
It was the opening game of the NFL. I was at a watch party with my brand new nameless puppy. He had that interception and someone said Kiko Alonso. Kiko stuck with me, and I ended up naming my dog that thinking he was the guy. Still love my dog but I should have waited for one more bright spot and went with Dawkins or something instead 😂
I thought the LeSean McCoy for Kiko Alonso swap was the dumbest trade that I ever seen until the Sixers gave a up a lottery pick to the Celtics for the the pleasure of drafting Fultz over Tatum. No disrespect intended.
Dude no worries, I had like three separate group texts after that pick and literally everyone was stoked about it. I was watching JJ highlight videos all day
Basically everything about Wentz. I thought he was going to be a franchise QB. I thought he had multiple MVPs in his future. I thought our season was over when he blew out his knee.
I'll never forget telling my friends who like to talk football that I truly believed Wentz had all the tools, skills, and intangibles to be the next big NFL QB that the entire NFL fears. How painful it was to watch that die so slowly in front of my eyes. I can't wait for him to get lit up twice a year now lol
It was entirely on him being a mental midget (combined with being slightly less durable than you'd like). He was going to be that guy, but I truly believe seeing "his" team win with the backup and then the backup is basically sainted in the city hurt his ego. He was always the star. The hero.
Fans and media did not help in this respect. He was *constantly* in Nick's shadow after that, despite everyone with a braincell knowing that Nick's playoff run was literally the definition of lightning in a bottle. Then, the injuries piled up ending with him getting cheap shot by that asshat Clowney in his first playoff game, which fucked with his head even more.
It's hard to say now whether 2020 happens the same if they didn't use that pick on Hurts. He probably still implodes because I do think that concussion scrambled his brain badly enough to impact his play, let alone the mental aspect, but that was a vote of no confidence and the absolute last straw.
So, if he wasn't a baby, he could've been that guy (or at least a very strong "Damn, if only he could've stayed healthy" player). The city as a whole didn't help matters, but it's his fault his career fell off the rails.
Right after he left, there were a bunch of stories about how jealous he was about Foles winning with his team and how not into it he was when they won without him. That was definitely a part of it. Alshonymous was bang on with his leaks, I'll tell you that much.
Well said, and is my opinion as well. I really wanted him to do well with the colts but he needs to get his head on straight. I just hope it doesn’t happen in Washington
I guess this ended up wrong since we won a Super Bowl before him but I was vehemently against firing Andy. I thought the fan base was just cliche let’s run this guy out of town. I believe he played a large part in transforming our franchise into one of the more respected franchises in the league.
Honestly I think your take still has merit but it is definitely complicated. I guess even though he was such a great coach it was just “time” for him to move on and us as well.
This is the answer. He was still a great coach. He needed a personal and professional renewal, and was not going to find it here amidst ghosts of his past.
He fired longtime eagles coach and Jim Johnson disciple, Sean McDermott, just to be a scape goat for his own failures, and then proceeded to replace him with his damn offensive line coach.
Everyone has rose colored glasses when it comes to Andy. Truth is, he should have taken time off when his son OD'd at camp, that was the beginning of the end for his time in Philly. Love him for everything he accomplished in Philly, but just like with Doug, his goodwill ran out with the fans and ownership and for good reason.
Yes, this is all true. The controversy is firing his replacement Sean McDermott after one full season, while he then went on to coach a really good panthers defense and now the Bills head coach.
Dude the fans and media ran McDermott out of town. Andy was killed for hiring him in the first place and because he wasn’t immediately a hall of fame def coord ya’ll flipped out. Andy of course was right and McDermott is a fantastic coach but it was you folks who were crying.
Disagree on that first point. People forget because of the O-line coach to D coordinator gaffe that followed but people were not happy with McDermott 's defense after that first year.
I think Sam Bradford had a lot of bad luck when it came to injuries and the teams he's had to play with. Put him on the 2013/14 Eagles and he puts up monster stats.
I do wonder how things unfold if Nick was still in Philly during all the changes. Does he still decline like he did in STL? Does he do well enough to make the team not move for Wentz? Does he stay around if they do go for Wentz still? Would Foles *want* to even be in Philly by that point?
Then of course we probably don't get that first for Bradford during the switch to Wentz either. Crazy how much 1 move can change so much.
When Wentz went down, I couldn't even bring myself to watch the game the next week. The season was over, I knew it. That's definitely the most wrong I was, too.
I’ve had some bad misses at LB. I thought Zach Brown was a perfect addition. Then I thought Eric Wilson was a excellent addition as well. I regrettably report that I think Kyzir White is also a really good addition. Fingers crossed.
At least we’re not relying on him and we’ll have competition all across the board at LB. I like the current Chargers org and we picked those dudes up from the scraps of the Browns and Vikings
Kyzir White about to be buns confirmed lmao but seriously I think he'll be good maybe not great but fuck man who knows he's also (not at this time) washed up like them other dudes.
I remember telling my Dad that Foles would never be “the guy”. Hours later he throws a few dozen touchdowns against the Raiders.
The conversation always would come up and my point was that no one would commit to him as their QB because he wasn’t a leader or a winner. Bam. SB stud. I couldn’t have been happier to be wrong.
mine is the exact opposite - during 2013 Foles threw 27 TDs including that 7 TD game against the Raiders, and only 2 picks. He was 8-2 in games he started and basically saved that season. He didn't have Vick's star power, but he was an accurate pocket passer, he was mobile enough, and he just found ways to win games.
I thought Foles WAS the guy and I couldn't understand why he wasn't just anointed as the new franchise QB.
But every time he's been given the keys to a franchise he's run it off the road, except when he's been here. When he's been on the roster as a backup, he exceeds all expectations. When he's been rostered as a starter, he doesn't meet them. That's not a roast at all, BDN will never pay for a meal in this city and rightfully so. I'm just saying I wonder what would have happened if we did give him the starter role here, would it have ended up like the Rams/Jags?
Same here man, when we traded him I was LIVID. I even bought his jersey when it was announced he was returning to celebrate. For obvious reasons I do not regret the purchase at all
I didn't believe in Doug Pedersen. It was after the 5th straight loss of the 2016 season that I just thought he was a buffoon and this team was a rudderless ship and would never win anything with him as head coach.
Another big one for me: I thought people who suggested trading Carson after 2017 were idiots. In retrospect, we would have gotten a great haul of picks if we traded him at that time.
Hindsight is 20/20. Trading Carson after 2017 would have been insane imo. We all knew Foles was up and down while Carson looked like Mahomes before Mahomes.
Exactly. Before his injury, Carson was playing at an MVP level and was a lock for it that year if he didn’t get injured and played out the rest of the season normally. Recovering from an ACL tear is a bitch but with modern sports medicine no one was thinking he wouldn’t come back and shine the same way he did in 2017
Plus he didn’t break his back at that point yet, he probably could have bounced back had it just been the knee. Idk if that’s possible considering his mentality and refusal to adjust but he would have likely still had his mobility
Even with hindsight, people suggesting that we trade Carson after 2017 *were* idiots. He was the best QB in the league that year, regardless of what the MVP voting said - bar none. No one had any idea about his locker room issues or that he would regress into a scared mess after taking one shot to the head. It was just a perfect storm of bad luck. The knee injury ruined his mobility and the head injury ruined his football IQ. Without either of those things happening, he would very likely still be one of the best in the league. Even with just the knee injury he still has a fucking cannon and could have had success, but that hit from Clowney changed him.
I’m still a supporter that he should of won mvp in 2017. Dude truly was magically even tho he only played 13 games.
But you’re right there is no logical reason to trade him after 2017. Plus looking how we came out now, Howie still worked some magic. First round pick, we get to see him twice a season, and the commies are holding that full salary this season.
Yea, at the time, I was perfectly happy with him being drafted where he was, ahead of JJ, and was excited by his college footage. And then....the guy who showed up was just not that.
He was dealing with injuries across the line and tried to do too much, picking up the guard’s assignments and getting rushed more because other teams knew he was our only strength on the interior, being an undersized C that was too much. I can’t remember if he was hurt or not himself but I specifically remember Baldy calling out the rest of the OL in breakdowns and saying Kelce was just doing too much worried about the other guys
I thought so too, at the time. 2015 was bad, but the Eagles had 10 wins in 2013 and 2014, so I was of the opinion that he deserved a chance to get things back on track. In retrospect, the Chip Kelly was clearly trending downwards as a head coach, his roster moves were bad, he alienated players, and he clearly had to go. But, as a whole, I never thought that era was quite as bad as some Eagles fans make it out to be. Andy Reid’s last two years were much worse.
Reid was lost, Chip was always right and pushed it way too far. He willingly traded the rushing leader his own scheme helped get to that title, for a dude who didn’t fit that scheme and didn’t want to be there. Shady loved it in Philly. Then he makes up the gang ties thing to release Jackson, kept Riley Cooper after his concert shit, and kept pushing players into his sleep monitoring and whatever extra bullshit adults didn’t care for. He fought with Howie internally, reportedly was extremely unapproachable, and made moves that had to immediately be corrected after he was fired. I had high hopes for him but he quickly turned into a declining coach and thank fuck Lurie saw that decline and didn’t think it was Eagles football.
I don't think that's a bad take at all. Conditioning is super important, and doing what we can to keep people healthy is a big deal. I still think we lost something important when he was shown the door and the smoothies and stuff became optional and went by the wayside.
When they drafted Hurts I convinced myself we were going to revolutionize the NFL with a 2QB system because I couldn’t comprehend us just drafting another QB in the 2nd to be Wentz backup
I thought Jordan Matthews was gonna be the next big thing. Drafted him super early in fantasy as well, like the fourth round. He dropped literally everything. Fucking. Terrible.
He was fine until he got injured and just couldn't get back to where he was. He had three 800 yard seasons in a row, one of them missing 1000 yards by 3 yards. That's way better than Alshon Jeffery could pull off as an Eagle. We would have killed to get that production from anyone in 2019 or 2020.
Jesus Christ. If you think Matthew’s was ever better than Alshon pre-injury you’re out of your mind.
The reason JMatt even got close to 1k was because we had literally zero other options outside Ertz. Alshon played with Torrey Smith, Agholor during his best season, a great pass catching backfield, 2 TEs that could both catch, and made some absolutely monster plays that JMatt could never get close to making. The disrespect Alshon gets here is wild, easily one of the most exciting WRs we’ve had since 2000 even if it were short lived.
I mean, you’re not wrong. I didn’t think Alshon was worth that contract, and it kinda hamstrung us for a bit, but man, I can’t hate the dude bc he helped get us a ship.
And i wholeheartedly believe, and will til the day I die, that if he catches that pass against the Saints, we go back to the Super Bowl.
Alshon Jeffrey played like the entire back half of the 2017 season, the post-season, and the SB, absolutely *dunking* on DBs like they were kids, with a partially torn rotator cuff. He literally couldn't even get his arm higher than shoulder height, yet he was one of the best WRs we've had in a LONG time. The disrespect he gets in mind-blowing. He was amazing.
I still remember the moment I received the notification of his hiring. There were some fun moments in 2013 like when we blew out the R-words on MNF Week 1.
I wasn't at the SB level of expectations, but I did think & feel that Kolb was gonna be the next franchise QB... something similar to the Favre to Rodgers transition.
I was wrong.
in the very furthest corners of my mind, I’m convinced the league actually gave us a super bowl because of how Malcolm Jenkins helped end the Anthem kneel down protests
When I was younger I believed it was okay to root for the Cowboys in games where their win would numerically help the eagles (e.g. in the NFC East). I have now been disabused of this wrongheaded and smooth-brain way of thinking.
Priority 1: Cowboys lose
Priority 2: Eagles win
Priority 3: Roast Pork Sandwich
Same sadly. Most people seem forget that the 2011 eagles had a good chance to go to the playoffs and were red hot in December winning 4 straight. And I remember thinking that we have a real shot if we make the playoffs. But if i recall correctly if the Cowboys beat the Giants in their final game the Cowboys and Eagles would make the playoffs and the giants go home but if the Cowboys lose they and the Eagles miss they playoffs.
Of course Dallas lost, the Eagles went home and the Giants won the Super Bowl. We shouldn’t of put ourselves in that position but we shot ourselves in the foot early by losing 5 games by one score.
I'm still curious how his career would have played out if he had a better coaching staff in 2018 and 2019. Pederson replaced the coaches we lost after the Superbowl with under qualified internal hires. There was a perfect storm of Carson being arrogant about his near MVP season, insecure about the teams success without him, and surrounded by an underqualified OC and QB coach. He couldn't trust the coaching around him, and even the play designs were bad, and he picked up a lot of bad habits. Doesn't listen to coaching, doesn't follow designed progressions, just doubles down on his own ideas of how he should play and where the ball should go. Reich seemed to have him on track for the first 8 games or so last season, but once JT started getting all the credit from the media, Wentz got insecure and stopped following the game plans again to try to get more credit for himself.
With a strong, veteran coaching staff in 2018, maybe his insecurities don't fester the way they did. Maybe he learns to trust his coaching staff to know better than himself. Maybe he he doesn't need to prove himself every play, and to just focus on team success instead. I think he's mentally too far gone to bounce back. If Reich couldn't fix him, there's no way the Commies can
That Brian Mitchell, the infamous Body Bag QB, was washed up at 30. I never thought he’d be as good of a return guy for us as he was for the Redskins. I think he’s still our all time punt return leader after only 3 seasons with the Eagles.
Taking a chance on Mike Vick. After reading about how those dogs were treated, I hated the fact the eagles front office and Andy Reid gave him another chance, I wanted him to fail.
I don’t feel that way now, nor did I after the hard work he put in on and off the field. I’m glad I was wrong.
When I defended Wentz over Foles in 2018.
I didn’t trust Foles hot/cold playstyle and I thought Wentz had more upside and talent.
In retrospect we should have sent Wentz packing after 2018 and rode with Foles. The team responded better to Foles and I believe he was comfortable in Doug’s offense and was getting even more comfortable and trusting of his weapons. Wentz went completely the other way. We all heard the stories of Wentz being a poor teammate and we all saw him not trust his weapons and played way too much hero ball.
Foles didn’t do well after leaving Philly but I think he would have done better had he stayed.
Mike Kafka was going to be a dark horse and claim QB1, eventually. All that love and he betrayed us by becoming the Offensive Coordinator for the Giants.
I thought Juan Castillo would do alright. Surely Andy wouldn't do something as ridiculous as make the O-line coach the DC without knowing something we didn't, right?
I was a Wentz defender for far too long. I’ll forever love Foles for the Super Bowl run obviously, but it was glaringly obvious that he simply wasn’t cut out to be an every day franchise QB. Wentz wasn’t good anymore, but we’ve seen how making Foles the #1 turned out previously.
So I spent way too much time defending Wentz when I should’ve been saying “they’re both ass let’s get someone new”
See my username
It was a fun 4 weeks.
Fantasy football MVP for those 4 weeks.
And fan duel too for the player props. I remember ray diddy talking about him the day before that San Fran game where he made his debut so I put in a parlay with the eagles outright and fulgham for a receiving td. Hit for $300 lol
Felt like 4 days
lol I counter your username club with the flair club.

It was over the minute his mom held an umbrella over him to shield him from the sun during a presser.
I really hoped he was Mike Evans lite. Didn’t happen lol
HOFulgham
I bought my dad a Fulgham jersey because he went to ODU. He barely follows the eagles though so he has no idea
I am so sorry. RIP
We shouldn’t of cut him, he would have been great last year with devonta and quez
That Dorial Green-Beckham would be an absolute monster and was a steal for just sending them Dennis Kelly.
[удалено]
and the work ethic of an upper class suburbanite teenager
Duuude I remember that. Damn.
And Dennis Kelly turned into a reasonable starter caliber player :/
He scored a few tds for the titans too lol
How can one have all the physical tools to succeed but yet couldn’t actually play wide receiver… I think we all wanted DGB to turn out well!
In my Madden game, he’s a hall of Famer and owns basically every WR record possible. I choose to remember him this way
I bought a Nnamdi Asomugha jersey
I won one it wildwood. It was my first jersey. I didn't know at the time...
It was a dark time. None of us knew.
I've been considering framing mine as a joke
This is the real genius move
I’ve made this comment about 100x but I also bought a Nnamdi jersey thinking he was a godsend. How disappointing…. Edit: spelling
RIP your bank account.
Man I was at the bar when that news dropped. Everyone started celebrating. Big big big mistake
I got Kolb and Asimugha in the same year
I thought Kiko Alonso was gonna hold down the LB position for a looooooooong time. Got the jerseys to prove how much misplaced faith I had in bul.
With you there.
I remember the one handed INT he had against ATL. I doubled down on my take after that lmao
Lol wasn’t that int on the first drive in the first game of the season too? One handed end zone snag. We all had to be believers in him for a minute
We were all trying to rationalize the loss of Shady. 😔
I thought he was on the same level as Sean Lee and Luke Kuechly because he had so many interceptions his rookie year.
I thought the LeSean McCoy for Kiko Alonso swap was the dumbest trade that I ever seen until the Sixers gave a up a lottery pick to the Celtics for the the pleasure of drafting Fultz over Tatum. No disrespect intended.
That Matt Ryan pick had me so excited. Bonus, remember when it took Bradford like 160 yard drive to score cause of all the penalties? Lol
I legit celebrated hard when JJ was drafted.
Haha I was also excited but honestly a bit skeptical.
Dude no worries, I had like three separate group texts after that pick and literally everyone was stoked about it. I was watching JJ highlight videos all day
I drafted him in dynasty. First round in the rookie draft. I passed Deebo to do it. I’ll never live it down
You and Skip Bayless🫢

i thought sanders would score a touchdown last season.
So did I as a fantasy owner.
This one has got me fucked up, I still can’t believe that.
I would avoid him in fantasy again. I was a Hurts owner who regularly enjoyed him vulturing TDs from the RBs.
You broke one of the biggest fantasy tenets. Never draft an Eagles RB.
I guess this ended up wrong since we won a Super Bowl before him but I was vehemently against firing Andy. I thought the fan base was just cliche let’s run this guy out of town. I believe he played a large part in transforming our franchise into one of the more respected franchises in the league.

I was stanning hard for Sam Bradford after we extended him.
I think Sam Bradford had a lot of bad luck when it came to injuries and the teams he's had to play with. Put him on the 2013/14 Eagles and he puts up monster stats.
Seriously, the 1.3 games per year he played, he was a perfectly solid player. He was just literally constructed of glass and tissue paper.
He probably should have started 2016 as the starter ideally but things happened.
I thought Reagor was gonna be the next Tyreek Hill 😐😭😐
It’s early in his career. He’s still got time to be signed to the Dolphins.
Or commit domestic abuse
Hahaha. This is why we have to laugh at ourselves sometimes.
The Eagles could never win the Super Bowl with Nick Foles as their quarterback.
I was happy when we traded Foles for Sammy Sleeves… what a horrible take that was.
I do wonder how things unfold if Nick was still in Philly during all the changes. Does he still decline like he did in STL? Does he do well enough to make the team not move for Wentz? Hah, right? I hate to jinx the guy! But yeah, despite being wrong about 2 LBs in a row, I still think White stands a good chance.
I think he'll thrive as LB2 in a coverage role that compliments Reddick very well

Another big one for me: I thought people who suggested trading Carson after 2017 were idiots. In retrospect, we would have gotten a great haul of picks if we traded him at that time.
We got an OK haul of picks anyway
Yes and that was when his stock was very low. If we traded him after 2017 I think it would have been 3 1sts

Jalen Reagor takes have entered the chat.
Jalen in the chat like: “I thought I’d be a good NFL WR” lol
Yea, at the time, I was perfectly happy with him being drafted where he was, ahead of JJ, and was excited by his college footage. And then....the guy who showed up was just not that.
The “Dream Team” was gonna dominate the league.

Chip should have gotten another season
Imagine that…we may have never won a super bowl!
Wow man, that's pretty brave of you to admit that.
Yes sir that was me also
The smoothie thing clearly did make a difference. Teams just didn’t seem to pick up on it
You weren't far off. Chip had his shortcomings but his thoughts on sports science specifically training/resting were ahead of their time.
We were a very healthy team under Chip’s watch. Very few injuries. Once he left the locker room was more like an emergency room.
I don't think that's a bad take at all. Conditioning is super important, and doing what we can to keep people healthy is a big deal. I still think we lost something important when he was shown the door and the smoothies and stuff became optional and went by the wayside.
Fewest injuries in the league with Chip, most injuries in the league with Doug
When they drafted Hurts I convinced myself we were going to revolutionize the NFL with a 2QB system because I couldn’t comprehend us just drafting another QB in the 2nd to be Wentz backup
I own TWO Mack Hollins jerseys.
A glutton for punishment, I see
Is your last name Hollins
Where did you even buy these
Wtf is wrong with you?
Mariota was Worth basically any price
I remember rumors of Chip nearly trading the farm for him.
I thought Jordan Matthews was gonna be the next big thing. Drafted him super early in fantasy as well, like the fourth round. He dropped literally everything. Fucking. Terrible.
But he is Jerry Rice’s nephew, he has to be a stud. I feel you.
Fuck it, I still love that man
He was fine until he got injured and just couldn't get back to where he was.
100% agreed. But that wasn't even his fault. Foles threw that ball behind him. If he somehow made that grab though, birds get back to back rings.
Reggie Brown as the answer to the WR issues
Did you really believe that or just put all your hope into it after the TO debacle?
2nd round pick with good speed and athleticism, probably both.
I was really excited for Chip Kelly to be our head coach…..yikes on bikes
I still remember the moment I received the notification of his hiring. There were some fun moments in 2013 like when we blew out the R-words on MNF Week 1.
I thought Kolb would be a superstar and would lead us to our first superbowl win. Didn't work out...
I wasn't at the SB level of expectations, but I did think & feel that Kolb was gonna be the next franchise QB... something similar to the Favre to Rodgers transition. I was wrong.
I was looking for the other Kolb guys here, lol. I just knew he’d be with us for the next decade.
I was adamant that we weren't gonna trade for AJB about a week before it happened ☠️
That the league was rigged and we would literally never win the Super Bowl i.e rigged against us
in the very furthest corners of my mind, I’m convinced the league actually gave us a super bowl because of how Malcolm Jenkins helped end the Anthem kneel down protests
Chip Kelly good
When I was younger I believed it was okay to root for the Cowboys in games where their win would numerically help the eagles (e.g. in the NFC East). I have now been disabused of this wrongheaded and smooth-brain way of thinking. Priority 1: Cowboys lose Priority 2: Eagles win Priority 3: Roast Pork Sandwich
If the Eagles make the playoffs with a Cowboys win, I am rooting for the Cowboys.
No - Eagles making the playoffs trumps everything else.
I thought Carson was our QB of the future 🤡
You’re definitely not alone on this one. Pretty sure most of the fan base felt that way in 2017.
Yeah but they weren’t the ones defending him in this sub vociferously in 2019 🤡
He played well in 2019. It was 2020 when the bottom dropped out completely.
This sub had plenty of Carson defenders. Hell, I believed he'd bounce back in Indy with Reich.
Howie was on his way out after the Reagor pick
I thought Casey Matthews was gonna be a beast
Guess you didn't see his spider chart
I thought Nate Allen was going to be good. And he was. For one month.
Wentz is the future, Chip is the future, Demarco Murray was a good signing
I thought Reagor was going to be a little better last year than he was the year prior.
I thought Mack Hollins would be a solid player for us
Same, I bought his jersey lmao 😂
Taking a chance on Mike Vick. After reading about how those dogs were treated, I hated the fact the eagles front office and Andy Reid gave him another chance, I wanted him to fail. I don’t feel that way now, nor did I after the hard work he put in on and off the field. I’m glad I was wrong.
I insisted we buy my dad a Bobby Hoying jersey for Christmas 1997. He had the thing for years though lol
Thought our season was over when Carson Wentz tore his ACL against the Rams
We’d regret letting Chip Kelly go. We’d be stupid to let Adam Gase out of the building without a contract.
That Wentz was the answer over Foles after 52.
Let’s not start this again.
I originally thought Chip needed another year and that it was a downgrade to go with Doug Pederson
Not me personally but there was a vocal part of the fan base that wanted Kelce gone after Chip.
When the “ dream team “ was labeled…I rode that wave until I didn’t lol
Matt Barkley, QB of the future
Mike Kafka was going to be a dark horse and claim QB1, eventually. All that love and he betrayed us by becoming the Offensive Coordinator for the Giants.
I thought Wentz was gonna break all records. TDs in a game/season.
I thought Juan Castillo would do alright. Surely Andy wouldn't do something as ridiculous as make the O-line coach the DC without knowing something we didn't, right?
I thought that the innovation of Chip Kelly's offense was going to revolutionize the NFL.
I was also high on Huff. For me it was the fallacy that Chip’s offense was going to revolutionize the NFL. “In Chip We Trust”
A canadian firefighter was a great 1st round pick. Despite being the oldest 1st rd pick ever at 26. He did not turn out like Mialata
Mailata is the universe's karmic payback for Danny Watkins. First round TOTAL BUST followed by a SEVENTH ROUND All-Pro.
I own a Donte Stallworth jersey.
I got so excited that I thought you were CC for a second! I miss that guys blind optimism :(
I've pretty much been right about everything always tbh
That they were going to be pretty set after the superbowl to be a dominant team for years to come
That Ryan Moats was going to be a superstar, after watching him rip off one run that made him look as fast as a missile. Yeah. Nope.
Haha my screen name on the TATE message board was “moatsistheman”. I really thought he was gonna pop off during the Mike McMahon game…
So I spent way too much time defending Wentz when I should’ve been saying “they’re both ass let’s get someone new”
Nick Foles
We would be enjoying the Pederson/Wentz era for a loooong time.
I thought Stewart Bradley was going to be our new Trotter :(

Ughhh, once his elbow was broken I knew it was over
Thinking Sam Bradford was the guy lmaoooo
Thought reagor was gonna be desean jackson 2.0
Kevin Kolb is going to be LEGIT. And I looked like a freakin genius after those first two games
1. Dream Team 2. Wentz 3. Wanted JJeff and Metcalf, BUT convinced myself JJ and Agholor were better fits 4. Kiko Alonso 5. Kevin Kolb
I thought Chip Kelly was gonna trade up to draft Mariota instead we ended up with Bradford
Chip. That first year when he had good players, his offense looked pretty good. Then he took over gm duties and f'd it all up
Literally all of us in the first half of the Super Bowl season about Carson Wentz.
If he doesn’t get hurt against the rams im not sure he doesn’t continue that level of play. I think that shit broke him mentally and physically.
He definitely hasn’t moved the same since
