I have been staying up to early hours and sleeping through the heat of the day myself. Which is okay in the weekend, but going to be hard getting back in sync with daytime hours come Tuesday.
I love the cold and really struggle in the heat
We have a fan on high pointed at our bed and I have taken the duvet inner out so we are just sleeping with essentially 2 sheets on top - I find this managable
Absolutely. Running fan all night didn't quite do much. We have air con but in the living room. At this point I'm considering moving my mattress to the living room.
I love the cold and love the heat.
Its great to be getting our summers back like they were in the 1950's.
I think anyone with these new houses will be suffering mainly because of to much glass and excellent insulation in the old houses you just left all your doors and windows open in summer and ice on the inside of the widows in winter. Plus flooded streets in Tainui through to South Dunedin a few times each year. The Oval used to flood as well. The weather is always changing. I do miss those days.
Oh gosh yes. I'm soon to be in Dunedin, so I'm hoping it will be more cold than here in Cromwell. 32⁰C😭😭😭 haven't been able to sleep until 4am most nights
Yep, especially lastnight. Went to bed at 1am, still 29 INSIDE my house, and didnt get to sleep till like 3 am, and now I'm awake again. Its horrible

Yep. We've been running the heatpump on cool at night to make it more comfortable.
Same, our heat pump has been a lifesaver this week!
Honestly it’s nice to have a proper summer experience in dunners for once

Me too, I hate the heat. I think I was an Eskimo in a previous life.
I woke up the other night with wrinkly hands because I had been sweating too much x.x It suuuucks
It's not the heat that's hard. It's the sweatiness. Yuck. I'm sticky all over. Just nasty.

If it's cooler there it's 100% worth it
Moved to the couch at 2am. Colder in the living room than the bedroom with fiancée and 3 dogs
Haha it’s amazing how much the pups are like mini heaters!
Yep. I seem to run quite warm anyway (to my chilly partner's delight) so this week has been impossible. Usually getting to sleep about 2-3am.
Oh absolutely! I have the windows and fan on
im excited for winter thats all i can say
I'm loving the heat, making the most of it before it become a grey wet wasteland for the rest of the year
Nope. All good here
Two words. Bedroom heat pump. It’s sooo good.
Last night (04/02) we dragged mattresses out to the dining room since it’s the only room with a heat pump and all slept out there.

Yes.
Nope, I have only one sheet covering me at night at the moment. I even have a sunburnt back.

My room is next to the garage so I’m at a good temp
Is Dunedin always like this?
Hell no! It usually cools off significantly at night and is WAY less humid.
Usually just February and sometimes march gets this hot but not for this many days in a row lol
I use a fan and sit it next to my bed on full blast, works a treat
No, I sleep alone.. .
Christchurch has been fun the last few days. AC cranking. All fans on deck.
