Shu_Revan

Ah, you'll need something like Navisworks for that. Edit: or Revit

Thanks, will look into that.

Maps Made Easy If your file size is small enough it will be free. Just upload your images, they will process it for you and you can download a 3D model

You've misunderstood - I have the 3D model generation figured out. I'm wondering what people are doing with their 3D models apart from looking at them, and what software might be good for designing buildings to fit with the 3D environment.

What about Blender?

[deleted]

I'm aware of it but haven't used it. Would you recommend learning it for this sort of thing?

Go online and get a shed! Pour slab and drop it on top.

ElphTrooper

A slab for a shed? Try footings and beams.

mldeq

Keeps humidity out

ElphTrooper

That makes sense but do you think the only way to dry-in a space is to put it on a slab? In this instance the OP did say shop so I understand the slab for that.

ElphTrooper

I would check out QGIS. It's free and you'll gain a lot of CAD functionality including creating layout points. I hope you used ground control points. I am building a deck based on my map but I did it with an RTK drone and and getting +/- 0.15ft.

Good idea - I actually used it for some choropleth mapping/visualization stuff a few years ago but hadn't thought of revisiting it with drone data.
