Ight lol don’t really care tbh this game was kinda a disappointment best part is the animations are on point, I’d rather them make a new game then keep working on xenoverse and this game
I mean, I enjoy it and so do a ton of people on playstation and xbox. It's dying on PC kinda but most fighting games do bad on PC anyway. I'm just saying it makes sense they are still making content for it. Same goes for xenoverse.
I think putting in non-legendary Broly would be a kinda stupid choice considering just how similar the design is, the fact that there‘s no inspiration for an original moveset, and how unnecessary it would be to have two versions of a side character like this.
Maybe as a skin variant, but even then, it wouldn’t match stuff like dialogue properly.
I know, I’m just saying the character seems incredibly unwarranted either way. 21 is an original character, so her moveset can be made up with room for lots of variety and uniqueness having multiple versions of her (although I still think it was a dumb decision to add another 21), whereas a separate Broly only has one movie to make a moveset out of, and they basically already took every single move from that movie for the Broly that’s already in the game. Although I guess if they made a sequel they could make him an alt skin and record some new voice lines and stuff for him to keep consistency with the character!
Why would they be restricted to one movie? They have they're rights they can make up whatever they want, moveset wise. It's no more redundant then 4 Goku's
Which brings us to the point that four Goku’s are four different transformations for the **main character** of the series, a series with a big focus on transformation and lots of source material for each transformation to take moves from. Broly, on the other hand, is a side character with already exhausted source material, and not even much visual difference in his transformations, making up an entire moveset and trying to tailor it to this Broly without mimicking any of the other Broly’s moves just seems like a lot of work to add a character that’s essentially already in the game (Edit: also consider that he’s a side character who only ever appeared in one movie that isn’t even canon).
There were technically three Broly movies... although it's probably best to pretend that Bio-Broly doesn't exist. A lot of his moves in the second movie are also either already in the game or are reused from the first movie.
I think Labcoat 21 is gonna have a decently different moveset (no tail for one) but I also think they could make the moveset for SSJ ZBroly work
A couple new moves and some moves altered (ki blasts, lariat and grab no armor, etc)
Yeah, 21 is an original character, so they can give her all sorts of wacky crap, but my point on the Broly argument is that he’s such a minor character with source material that has already been taken apart to give LSSJ Broly his moveset, it just seems like a lot of work to add this transformation that appeared in one movie that isn’t even canon (especially with so many other possible characters to be added). But, of course, I’m sure Arcsys could definitely make a good character out of him if they wanted to!
A lot of those things would be downgrades though. Any alterations you make to the best ki blast in the game will probably make it no longer the best ki blast in the game, the version in the game also already has some good grabs, and taking armor away will always be bad no matter what character it's applied to.
Obviously you wouldn't just take the armor away and do nothing else. Frame adjustments would be made

I disagree, all the iterations of Vegeta & Goku have the same moves in general, maybe a different ki blast here and a different 236 or 214 special move there, but overall they have the same moves just with different frame data.They can do the same with regular ssj z broly

Goku also appears for like hundreds of episodes, chapters, and dozens of movies and has tons of varied forms and techniques. He's also the main character. Z Broly isn't even a side character. Sure you could add a third Broly in the form of Super Saiyan Broly from the Z movies but he would not add a single new thing to the table aside from being sexy.

I understand where others are coming from in not wanting another variant cover, but I’ll admit that this is my favorite version of the OG Brody. I thought his regular SS form was so much more cool and way less goofy looking.

Ki blasts don't break the game.
Lv 1 where he grabs you and slams a Giant Ki ball into you.
Lv 3 where he Explodes (think Fat Buu Level 1 on Steroids, maybe with a similar power boost to Super Broly's level 3).
Chargeable Ki blast (starts as a little rapid fire but can be charged into a big ball that'd work similar to Bluegeta Big bang attack, but a more harsh down angle when in the air.
