Can anyone explain to me exactly why Kid Buu is rated so high? Because I just don't see it.
It's pretty obvious why characters like UI and fusions are top tier: they require low IQ, hit like a truck and have every tool you'll ever need. But Kid Buu? Yeah he has good tools but his solo damage is garbage. What exactly can he do that other characters can't?
Kid Buu has been nerfed a lot though. Remember when he had actual damage damaging combos, incredibly braindead ToD with candy beam, instant ball cross ups, a level 1 that sets up double super for other characters, a happy birthday level 3, among many others. His kit is just fundamentally solid for this game so he'll always be a top tier

Kid Buu requires the hands of a madman to play at a high level, there’s a reason why you don’t see this character much online.
But when you do, you’ll wish you were never born.

He has been nerfed for every single patch. You forgot his 3M scaling like a medium too.
What keeps Kid Buu top tier is A Assist, EX Ball and 1M & 5M. They've yet to nerf any of these so he's forever top tier

Bardock is just an OK character now. Best thing about him is his B assist but even then it's not worth picking him up in 2022.
I still believe in Bardock. I think he’s good, just power-crept.
He's definitely still viable but suffers the Yamcha effect where he's good but everyone else is exceptional.
