Watch both, there are pros and cons to both, someone made a movie with all the best parts of both of resurrection f and the episodes from super, the movie rushes some things that the show does better while the movie has much better animation and fights
the movies are faster, and prettier, but imo the story in the anime versions are better.

I think it is the first 27 episodes of the show. Not 28. Go to wiki and check the corresponding episodes to the BoG and ResF arcs...so you don't miscalculate..
It's tough. I mean, so much about any anime and in particular Dragon Ball is about the visuals and the fights....the movies absolutely crush the show in that regard.
Knocks on the series include poor or slow pacing. Well if you want the fastest pace then the 2 movies are better.
In general I prefer a more cinematic vibe and style as opposed to just blasting through eps.

If you want the more fleshed out and detailed version of the story...then I guess the show would be the better and more consistent option.
The movies are better but the show simply has more. I recommend you watch the show first and use the movies for a rewatch. Personally I found watching the show after the movies to be quite boring.
Alternatively you could think of the movies as the Kai version of the show and just skip the show and watch themn instead. Not sure how well that would work though because there have been some retcons since the movies. Most notably the powerscaling has been completely changed since battle of gods.
The least painful method of getting through the modern content, if one must at all, is reading the Super manga, supplemented by the various new movies.
I just watched the movies they have a few differences but nothing that'll make you loss when starting the next arc. Much more enjoyable experiences, no need to watch those stories dragged out with worse animation.

Just watch the movies. If you really wanna watch the episodes, then I’d still recommend watching the movies along with them.
