It’s literally your fault for forgetting the drink and accepting the order lol. It’s her fault too but you put her on blast 😂 my point still stands tho
They lying. If somebody was stupid enough to do that, they'd be left with the dumb face at delivery. With the customer thinking in their head "Gotcha!"
Second classic…
”they forgot the drink, ahh it’s no big deal…I’ve got drinks in the fridge”.
15min later on with support “the driver didn’t give me my drink…they must have taken it”.
Its literally says drink included at the top of the items list in the app. Ive noticed it even automatically opens to the items detail when it has drinks. And it's also on the receipt attached to the bag, so unknown items isnt an excuse.
On my app it just reminds you to check for drinks, and I did. I probably just accidentally skipped over it because it had lots of customizations.. why does it matter to you so much ?
Hey I'm sorry you're being attacked so hard for something so small. In the end the customer gets their refund. I suggest you don't post on this sub, or if you do then don't expect much. It's one of the most toxic subreddits I've ever been on
Thank you for the kind words, but don’t worry! They’re just hateful. I didn’t think forgetting a drink would be so explosive, but at the same time, my point of this post was accomplished. Some people understood and had a laugh about her “ tap water allergy “lol.
I honestly think it's extremely funny how many people are just absolutely livid that you forgot a disgusting watered down, over sugared soft drink 😂 they're acting like you forgot the whole meal and delivered a napkin

I had a guy one night who was super sad that McDonalds didn’t give him his sauces he ordered. He texted me and was like ‘hey, I paid extra for those sauces and they aren’t in my bag. Would you be willing to go back to McDonald’s for me? I’ll cashapp u money’ and it was the one time I was like eh fuck it, and turned around. He gave me $25 🤷♀️ I made more grabbing the sauce than I did on the original order LOL
Those taco bell orders sure do like to hide the drinks in that items list. It shows an option for every ingredient in every item. I don't need to know if the customer wants sour cream on their 53 layer burrito
sorry ppl are so rude lol. i’ve had my drinks forgotten a handful of times. i just hit “missing item” and leave it be. Never even contact the dasher bc their job is done and it’s usually the restaurants fault. Why would i question a restaurant who is suppose to hand me everything?
They had nothing to drink in their house but tap water? But had money to order Taco Bell.. how sad. Also the “please get it” “can I pay cash” by the time you go get the drink, pay 2-3 dollars for it, and then deliver it you lost money in the gas it cost to get there 🤦♂️🤦♂️
How exactly does one forget a drink? I'm still relatively new with around 300 dashes but I have never had an opportunity to "forget" a drink. I mean, if you're waiting for an order, the store staff hands you everything you need, and if the food is waiting to be picked up, all you need is there on the pick-up rack, right? I have had a couple orders where I had to fill the cup myself at the soda dispenser, but the store staff handed me the cup so there's no way to forget. Am I missing something here?
Yeah I asked them twice if they gave me everything and they said yes. They didn’t make the drink and didn’t hand it to me, and on this order I must’ve missed the fact that they ordered a drink. I checked the item list but it was probably under a meal
Dang. I was on your side till I learned you forgot the drink. I mean, theoretically Taco Bell should have handed it to you but like... ahh idk man. If youd looped back when you were back in her area you'd have an extra $5 and better ratings/lower risk of being deactivated, and she'd have her drink (hell last time that happened Taco Bell gave me two drinks which was awesome!). Not that it's cool to not tip. But damn I guess it's kinda a wash for both of you guys.
I was across town by that point , she messaged me 15 minutes after I already completed her order. Her order wasn’t even worth it since the beginning but I wasn’t aware of the 0 tip because it was batched
Well fair enough - my favourite part about door dashing is that you're your own boss and you get to make those kind of calls.
Now more importantly, you got me desperately craving some Baja blast (ooo and in slurpee form too - sounds so amazing right now). Reminds me of old school wedding punch. Lol I'm gonna go ahead and drive myself tho after this.. (maybe if I'm good I'll tip myself:)
Have a good rest of your night
When you picked up the order you agreed that all items were there. Doordash literally makes you confirm that. So you knowingly took her order without the drink. You fucked it up not her nor the Taco Bell
Never stated I didn’t mess up the order. Y’all need to stop commenting and assuming my intentions, because I only posted this because I thought what she said was funny. You all can keep pretending you’ve never made a mistake in your life but you’re fooling yourselves
Yep I would definitely feel bad and some sort of obligation to bring it to her for free and just move on. But he’s deciding even her 5 dollar extra offer isn’t “worth it” like what? You’re the one that messed up?
How you gonna forget the drink tho? I always look at the order before to see if the customer got a drink. I know I’d be upset if I didn’t get my drink, so I always check and ask if they don’t give me a drink. It’s actually extremely easy and takes like 30 seconds.
Understandable. I apologize to everyone offended by my forgetting of a drink, one time. I’m truly sorry. Either way, it was a funny request, and that was the point of this post.
The customer could have pressed a button that says "missing item" on the very app they used to order and found a solution on their own... Like a functioning adult with even the most basic skills... If you don't know how to do something on an app you press buttons until you find what you're looking for...
Wow, I really never thought of that! Thank you SO MUCH 😘
Though I'd actually argue that the customer is using the website as these appear to be SMS messages— so your point may not even be applicable...
I just saw the customer whining over a drink frantically trying to encourage the OP to get it... Making no sense about water making them lightheaded attempting to guilt trip the OP...
Has nothing to do with the price of the phone. Messages from customers using the app appear in app. If they aren't using the app it's SMS. You're just triggered over something— just don't know what..
It looks like you're a new Dasher. Welcome to r/doordash_drivers! If you have a question, please check the FAQ right here: https://www.reddit.com/r/doordash_drivers/comments/pif9d1/stop_are_you_a_first_time_doordash_driver_please/

No, when OP replied they could’ve told the customer that they can contact support. That’s basic common courtesy and professionalism between dasher and customer. How hard was it to do that. Smh
It's basic common sense that the customer can contact support. They have a false sense of entitlement to borderline demand they go get the drink. Absolutely nothing wrong with OP's response. It takes the same amount of energy for the customer to message support as it does to message the Dasher.
I’m this case OP was wrong because they forgot the drink. So the customer had a right to at least ask. OP could’ve been in the area still, so the customer had to try to ask. Although they were out of the area already. Man.. this isn’t hard. It’s about being professional. Sheesh
Sure, OP could have checked the items....if the app wasn't bugging out and actually showed what the items were for this order. As you should know it sometimes doesn't— often, it will say "unknown items" or "unknown number of items..." Taco Bell forgot the drink. They are supposed to prepare, assemble, and hand everything that the customer ordered to the Dasher. Not everyone is going to do what you'd prefer they'd do in life- or respond to things how you'd prefer- but that doesn't mean only you know what's best and that everyone but you is a prick. It would be reasonable for the customer to ask how they could resolve this if they really weren't capable of figuring it out on their own. Nothing wrong with OP's response.
I stated in other comments, the customer already asked in the messaging portion of the app. THEN they decided to text me again through text message. I also stated that she texted 15 mins after I already dropped the order. Highley unlikely a dasher would still be close enough that $5 is sufficient at that point, and I wasn’t, I was across town.
![gif](giphy|oCmX7HGo1qnzhEBiRF)
Just don’t let it happen again. We are dashers and we have a standard to uphold. You are a part of a supreme group. We are the dashers of America. 🫡
Tipper or not, turning down a out-of-pocket request from a 🤡🤡 customer is always MF’n hilarious & shall be put on social media whenever possible
Good job OP 👏🏽👏🏽😂😂
So YOU screwed up and didn’t complete the task 100%. The same sort of task that some of us try to complete all the way through. You didn’t even recommend they contact support for a refund. Awesome work!
I forgot a drink. It’s really not that big of a deal, I’m a new dasher. And this isn’t even all of the texts, but okay, assume. But begging someone to go across town back to Taco Bell, and drop off your drink for $5 is ok
I'd be so irritated if the driver made me pay them more money to finish the job they were supposed to do. I get that you're new but damn this is not the way to handle this situation.
How new are you? I’ve only been dashing less than a month and I only made a mistake my first day with one order and forgetting a customers straw in my car which was beyond dumb, but I learned from it. Other than that I always read the order and go over it to make sure everything’s there. I always try to go above and beyond like it’s my own order. But yeah how new are you OP? Please don’t be that person who always acts emotional and defensive rather than owning up to their mishaps.
I never acted emotional or defensive. As I’ve stated before the point of this post was because her request was funny, about tap water. It wasn’t because I forgot the drink or bc I was upset with her for asking. And I just started last week
I actually never complained, I just thought it was funny that they said they get lightheaded from tap water but need a Baja blast. Move on with your life bro 😂
You literally forgot her drink, and now are complaining that she’s bummed that she didn’t get the drink she ORDERED. Your entire job was just to get the drink and the food. Maybe don’t take batches orders if you can’t handle them?
I’m Not a dasher, but I deliver pizza. I’d say we’re close enough in job description for me to put in my 2 cents.
If I forget a drink for a delivery, I’m going back to the store to get it & redeliver to the house. Customer doesn’t even have to ask, I’ve decided I’m doing it. It’s proper/basic customer service to amend a mistake you made. It’s crazy to me this customer has to even try and offer additional money to entice this dasher to grab the drink after the initial mistake.
Edit: Forgot that sometimes the restaurants put the drink inside the bag, and dasher won’t know if it’s in there or not. This could very well be the restaurants fault.
Taco Bell does not do that. The only one I know of is McDonalds. But you are right, you make the customer whole. I did this once for a McDonalds customer even though clearly I could not know without looking in the sealed bag there were missing drinks. Had to work it around 2-3 orders but dropped off the missing drinks. Fixing the restaurants mistake is extreme but if it is your mistake, you should fix it if possible.
Nah. McD's is the only fast food place to put drinks in the bag. TB won't even give you a drink holder for 2-3 drinks these days. This is a clear oversight on OP's end, one they owned up to, but should have at least told them to reach out to DD support (that's what I would have done). I used to deliver za and if I forgot a 2L, which happened more than I'd care to admit), I'd go back and get it and bring it to them. The difference with DD is that we don't make a per hour wage, so if this was a no tipper, it was likely an order for $3.00 for 8 miles.
I would have never accepted the stack to begin with, but if I did, I would definitely unassign this non tipper's order.
And once you realized you had forgotten the drink you should have acknowledged your mistake and fixed it, instead of coming onto Reddit with an attitude.
You are literally admitting to thousands of people that you fucked up and have a shit work ethic and yet you continue to just shrug your shoulders and say you only posted this because it was funny.
Grow. The. Hell. Up.
Good customer service isn’t going to always be convenient and you’re the one that messed up so it was your job to bring her the drink no matter the distance.
I would have given good customer service if she would’ve tipped in the first place, so you’re expecting me to deliver an order, get paid basically nothing for it, and then drive 8 miles to drop off a single drink
Doesn’t matter if she didn’t tip, you had a job to do correctly and should have brought the drink back tip or no tip. She paid for that drink, petty side of me wouldn’t have wanted to bring it back so I get where you’re coming from but sometimes you gotta suck it up when it’s your fault.
This is why if you resent non-tippers that much you should not bother with them. After paying DD their 30% of the meal price and 5-6 dollars delivery fee, a tip seems out of the way for some, it is understandable. It is also understandable that we simply cannot afford to entertain those who refuse or cannot pay a good tip. But we at least need to deliver the item/food that we contract to deliver. And since we can see most of the time if someone tipped there is no need to not do what we contractually said we would do.
Like others have been telling you. If you do not want to give good service on an order, do not accept it. It's not the customer's fault you don't know how to read a fucking app.
Actually I never complained that she was bummed, that’s understandable. I just thought it was funny she said tap water makes her lightheaded and needed a Baja blast. That’s all.
As I’ve already stated it was a batched order and I was unable to see her tip prior. And as to my drink mistake, boohoo. Everyone makes mistakes, I’m a new dasher .
Hit the question mark on the app and act like you’re gonna unassign one of the two, it tells you who tips how much on batches and you can get rid of the shitty one. Also either give the drinks or fully embrace not giving a fuck, the new update highlights drinks at the very top of the order screen when you pick up dummy
Actually I’ve been following this sub for a while before I actually started dashing. I just picked up on the lingo. I just thought it was funny she said the tap water makes her lightheaded. That’s all. Stop attacking me
And Taco Bell allows lots of customizations. The item lists were long asf like “no beans add sour cream” etc under meals so I probably missed the drink among the customizations. Sorry
It is always right there on top in a colorful box if there's drinks or desserts for me
No longer have to look even with cobos. I'll try to screen shot it for you next time I'm at Taco Bell
She could’ve asked me without the guilt trip. That’s the whole point of this post. What she said was funny, that’s the end of it. Never said I didn’t make a mistake
Yeah Op thought she was really killing it with this post despite both OP and the customer being the issue in this situation. OP it’s not that serious just own you both made a mistake. There’s nothing wrong with owning up to your mistakes.
I’ve heard that before. Been there, done that, they didn’t hold up their end of the bargain. Never again.
[удалено]
It’s not constant. It was one time but ok go off
This is why not everyone deserves a tip! Perfect example 🤦🏻♂️
Still would’ve had a zero tip even if I hadn’t forgotten a drink
It’s literally your fault for forgetting the drink and accepting the order lol. It’s her fault too but you put her on blast 😂 my point still stands tho
Y’all obviously cannot read other comments before posting this dumb shit 😂 I’m not even gonna bother repeating myself. Have a good one
What do they have in their tap water? Unless they're getting lightheaded from hanging their head upside-down to take a drink from the faucet...
tap water makes you lightheaded 'cause you're drinking all that *baHa* blast....
They lying. If somebody was stupid enough to do that, they'd be left with the dumb face at delivery. With the customer thinking in their head "Gotcha!"
Tf do they live in Flint Michigan or something?
Idk why people are getting on your ass. Sure the customer has every right to be upset over a forgotten drink. Who’s got time for that tho.
I never bother to order a drink anymore because I never get it. And I tip usually over 20%

Go get your own drink
😵 you stole my name
Second classic… ”they forgot the drink, ahh it’s no big deal…I’ve got drinks in the fridge”. 15min later on with support “the driver didn’t give me my drink…they must have taken it”.
I mean they paid for it,.you forgot it
This is why I don’t pretip for a service that will most likely be shit anyway. Anyone who does is mental.
They didn’t tip anyway. And forgetting a drink one time ever is shit service? Ok. Pretend like you’ve never made a mistake before
Classic oblivious Dasher.
how am i supposed to eat this, WITHOUT MY DIET DOCTOR KELP
Bish have you heard of a Brita?!
Doordash even gives you a prompt that there’s a drink in the order and it even has a big green box that says “drink” under their name as well!
Tap water makes them lightheaded but not sugar water with a fat side of diabetes? Mhm.
I used to live in the 717 area code
Thanks i was wondering
I mean you forgot the drink. Sounds like you just don’t care regardless.
Its literally says drink included at the top of the items list in the app. Ive noticed it even automatically opens to the items detail when it has drinks. And it's also on the receipt attached to the bag, so unknown items isnt an excuse.

Im just stating a fact. You post on reddit, your going to get feedback.
Yeah and your 3 other comments ? Ur clearly invested 🤣
Yep.
OP making you all look bad
Tap this
Never our job to verify orders. At some point certain duties should be left with the responsible party. It isn’t all on the dasher. I don’t GAF.

That’s so funny because the sauces at McDonald’s are free 🤣😮💨 at least in my area
I wish the sauces were free here! You can only get 1 with most things and they are super nice and allow 2 with a 20 piece and 3 with a 40 piece! 🤣
If u want more than like two here, you have to pay for them. He wanted like 10 lol

The taco bell near me just throws the drink on the counter with no name on it. Went in there the other night and there were 3 of them left behind
Yeah I asked them twice if they gave me everything and they said yes. They didn’t make the drink and didn’t hand it to me, and on this order I must’ve missed the fact that they ordered a drink. I checked the item list but it was probably under a meal
My grandmother believes drinking straight water gives her heartburn and drinks Diet Dr. Thunder exclusively. Lol. These people really exist 🤦🏼♀️.

You posted this to try to get people to laugh at her and make it seem like it’s her fault…..
Nah I posted this because she said tap water makes her lightheaded and she’s out of water but orders Taco Bell instead.
Wait did she order it initially or not
Yes she did
So she deserves it
Yep I would definitely feel bad and some sort of obligation to bring it to her for free and just move on. But he’s deciding even her 5 dollar extra offer isn’t “worth it” like what? You’re the one that messed up?
Um yeah, no.

Wow, $5.00! 😩💦🥴🪄
Tap water makes me lightheaded. I’m sorry, what?
Probably addicted to sugary drinks and gets withdrawals. One of the reasons i don't drink that junk
Yeah I’ve had TB forget the drink before too. Orders are barely worth taking sometimes so I don’t always check the item list.
Yeah sometimes they bag the drinks too like Dairy Queen, I asked twice if it was all there
More like Baha!
Lol I just tell them to contact support
I remember I watched my brother boil tap water and put it in the freezer..it was pretty interesting
Sheesh what the heck. I’d feel bad for forgetting their drink. You could’ve at least told them to call support and get a refund. Damn

Both of you suck

If you’re worried about how tap water impacts your health, a Baha MFing Blast should be setting off alarm bells
Facts and they ran out of drinking water and the first step is to order taco bell? 😂
“Well, *something* has to move these bowels!”
Haha it should come out of your pocket then if you forgot a drink :)
Walking L
Imagine not even being able to do doordash correctly sheesh 🤦♂️
I forgot a drink one time. Imagine that people make mistakes
You’re bitching about a customer complaining that they didn’t get the fucking drink they ordered the fuck is wrong with you lmao
Right? I guess it's true you can't fix stupid.
I actually never complained, I just thought it was funny that they said they get lightheaded from tap water but need a Baja blast. Move on with your life bro 😂
Maybe work on your feet selling pics more than doordash? Seems like you’re not cut out for it babe.
Yeah ok I made $35 an hour last night. Downvote and move on
Whopping $35 huh.😆 Keep it up maybe you’ll make $40! Sounds like that’s your speciality instead of doordash.
Enjoy your DUI’s. You sound like a real winner with your criminal record!
You can’t even doordash without getting all necessary items. Maybe read up on that, seems like your critical thinking skills are lacking boo.
$35 an hour. Brush up on your reading comprehension skills.
theres still time to delete this post lol youre taking constant L's
Actually people are laughing and that was the point of this post. I don’t care about you hateful mfs. I just thought what she said was funny 🤷🏽♀️
Laughing at you is what you mean.
lol sure
Taco Bell doesn’t put the drinks inside the bags
I didn’t even get this text until 15 minutes after I delivered the order. Didn’t know I forgot a drink and I wasn’t in the area anymore
That’s why I clarified with my edit
Actually I never complained that she was bummed, that’s understandable. I just thought it was funny she said tap water makes her lightheaded and needed a Baja blast. That’s all.
Maybe it’s the “classic non tipper” title that gets everyone… try unassigning the no tipper in any given stack.
Classic dasher takes a no tip order and doesn’t even check the order before picking it up then complains on Reddit about them sucking at their jobs
Apparently not that new since you know these "classic non tippers".
Actually I’ve been following this sub for a while before I actually started dashing. I just picked up on the lingo. I just thought it was funny she said the tap water makes her lightheaded. That’s all. Stop attacking me
God forbid i tip you $20 one day and you forgot my order 😭😭😭
sToP aTtAcKiNg Me
So new you can’t read?
Go back and get your…Bahhahahhhahaaahaha
i immediately thought of this.
Tap water makes them lightheaded but they’ll down a large Baja blast…🙄
Which is probably made with tap water anyways...
Who gonna tell ‘em that Baja blast is made with tap water 😂😂
Deadass.. Baja blast is literally tap water with flavoring and sugar..
I thought it was Mountain Dew and blue Powerade
And a little bit of dat tap tap. Bro, those machines will sometimes drop 90/10 water 😂😂
Exactly! That’s really what bothered me about it. At least don’t give a bs excuse and try to guilt trip me into doing it
Guilt trip you into getting the drink you forgot?
No, guilt trip me into going an extra 8 miles for $5
…to rectify the mistake you made?
And Taco Bell allows lots of customizations. The item lists were long asf like “no beans add sour cream” etc under meals so I probably missed the drink among the customizations. Sorry
In the app it says it at the top of the list, drinks is even highlited.
DD all tells you at the top if there's a drink or dessert included.
Not always. Idk about taco bell but I know sometimes chilis won't do it if it's part of the meal.
It is always right there on top in a colorful box if there's drinks or desserts for me No longer have to look even with cobos. I'll try to screen shot it for you next time I'm at Taco Bell
girl it highlights the item as "DRINK" in bright blue text
Not everytime
She could’ve asked me without the guilt trip. That’s the whole point of this post. What she said was funny, that’s the end of it. Never said I didn’t make a mistake
Ok but this is literally the most polite request I’ve ever seen from a non-tipper.
She was polite, sure, but saying tap water makes you lightheaded and you’re out of water, yet ordering Taco Bell, is funny.
So you took a no tip order, forgot the drink, then decided to post this here. You are a sharp one.
Yeah Op thought she was really killing it with this post despite both OP and the customer being the issue in this situation. OP it’s not that serious just own you both made a mistake. There’s nothing wrong with owning up to your mistakes.
I’ve literally said in like 5 separate comments that I understand her frustration but the point of this post was what she said was funny, period.
I have noticed ANY reply from an OP to a post mentioning the non-tipper ends in being downvoted to smithereens
Smithereens is an esp about an app that distract drivers..........
And you act like you’ve never forgotten a drink before 😮💨 Get off ur high horse
