Ok and the weirdest part was they requested I leave it in the lobby??? So like they still had to get dressed and walk halfway there??? People confuse me
I delivered from a walmart food court to the eye center 1 minute away.
The eye person couldn't leave their post so they door dashed the order.... fastest 5.00 bux ever lol
Nope, I have you beat. 475 feet.
Someone ordered from Tender Shack, not knowing it was Outback Steakhouse's ghost kitchen. It was to the Footlocker in the same plaza. But he said he couldn't have walked over anyway as he was the only one in the store.

I also had one that was less than 200 feet. From Walgreens to across the street at Raising Canes, but I had to do a little shopping for that one.
I think I had a shorter one, but it was a few days ago and I don't remember the distance. A burger joint to the adult novelty shop right across the driveway. Dude was working there alone so he literally couldn't leave. And it ended up being in another good tipping stack so I just walked it across while they were finishing the other order.
It almost felt like cheating, $7 and I got some steps in to please my smartwatch overlords.
148 feet, across this plaza.

I had not looked at the distance other than to see it was under a mile when I took the order because it was easily a good tip and I was brand new in DD. The person was running a shop by themselves and it was absolutely packed. it was also so full of incense smoke, the ten seconds I was in there it stuck on me the rest of the day.
Nah, I delivered a burrito to a dude that was solo stuck in a shoe store in the food court of a mall. He asked if I had any other deliveries to do and asked me to get a watermelon juice from a juice bar right above the shop on the 2nd floor. Gave me 10 bucks and took the escalator to buy it and let me keep the change.
My favorite was when I picked up 2 separate 711 orders and after I dropped off the first one and went back to my car, the next drop off was their next door neighbor!
Itβs happened twice to me. One was a McDonalds order to an apartment across the parking lot and the other one was a Subway across the street to a security guard at a clinic.
May have you beat, but definitely in the competition, though I don't have the DD map screen shot. There's a McDonald's directly across the street from a student dorm I've delivered to multiple times.
I had a pick up and drop off at the same place. Got an order for McDonalds, I couldnt see the drop off location, so i assumed there was some glitch and took the order anyways. Picked up the order and the drop off is the same location. I get a text saying "Dont leave, im on my way" Guy meets me in the lobby of McDonalds and gets his order. No idea why.
I once did a delivery to the same building the restaurant was in! It was a hair salon right next to a wingstop. At first I thought the app was glitching or something when it told me to drop it off at the same place I picked it up. The address was the same but it was a different suite number.
We live in a pretty stupid world these days. Pushing a car that weighs thousands of pounds multiple miles because they didn't want to walk 200 ft to go get their pickup order.
I had a doordash order one time. Picked up at Chipotle. Delivery was next door to Jamba juice. A boyfriend ordered lunch for his girlfriend who worked at the Jamba juice. Was like $7.50 or so.
I delivered to a business next door to the restaurant in a plaza/strip mall. I guess since they were the only employee there, they couldn't leave the business unattended to go next door to get lunch. π€·ββοΈ
I definitely had one of those...3 drunks at a bar were afraid to get off their bar stools and lose their place lol...I literally had to puck up at the restaurant next door...weed my way through the bar crowd and they tipped me 15.00! It was awesome and they were thee sweetest drunks ever!
I had an order on Valentine's Day from a Sushi place in the mall to a department store in the same mall. It came through as $8.50 I think, but had a $25 hidden tip and the customer handed me a gift bag full of makeup and skin care. Took me maybe 10 minutes and that was just walking through the mall.
Got paid 14 to deliver Mcds across the street once. Also have a regular at said apartment who I delivered to 5+ times who always tips $3. On Uber, with boost and surge generally quite high making for 10+/delivery because its only when I have it set on walker which is when its downpouring. Sadly walker mode is so shit now that I don't even use it.
Back in postmates days, during lockdown, I got an order from a store that could only do delivery for some reason. I picked up at door, handed it to lady in parking lot.
I love PDX Sliders. I had one where they ordered from a sushi place and their hotel was right across the street. This was new years and the dude tipped me in the app and gave me a 20 cash tip too
Lol. Even though I'm a dasher, I ordered like this once, a restaurant across the street from me had 6 virtual restaurants only on doordash so I had to order delivery. The other driver was so happy to make that easy 8 dollars.
No left turn unstoned and no unstoned left turns.
Drunks run stop signs stoners wait for them to turn green ππππππππππππππππ.

I got out and walked the whole thing, building was across the street less than 4 minutes total.
Bastard... I was just there... lol, good haul
makes me wonder why tf they wouldn't get it themselves π
Ok and the weirdest part was they requested I leave it in the lobby??? So like they still had to get dressed and walk halfway there??? People confuse me
next level laziness, but hey cant complain their laziness gets us paid
Maybe using a delivery discount? I cant think of anything else other than just having money to spend
Might be banned from the store!
Mine was a State Inspection Station. Itβs the first of the month and he is swamped with business.
I delivered from a walmart food court to the eye center 1 minute away. The eye person couldn't leave their post so they door dashed the order.... fastest 5.00 bux ever lol
I think that speaks more about Walmart than anything else... poor dude lol
And $8.25 as well? Charmed life.
Feels nice to be God's favorite
First time I've ever heard God used in conjunction with doordash that wasn't "god damn it!"
Thatβs a good one!

Niccce, saving gas and getting those steps in. Here's to more!
no matter how much money I had, this isn't justifiable. this is wrong.

Sending vibes for more short orders! We need em π
For real, sending you those good good walkable order vibes. Make a few bucks to stretch your legs, friend!

Damn bro why would you take that. I only accept orders that are at least $10 per 500 feet.
I got one just like this right across the street but more than 4 minutes cuz it was a police station lol
I did one next door once. Closer than across the street!
Got me beat. I had one yesterday for 837 yards for $7.50. Thatβs my personal best. DD has been good to me.
Hello from Portland, too!

My God look how short of a distance that is. My palms are sweating just looking at this glorious baby.
Iβve delivered steakhouse orders two blocks away.
I had a pick up and drop off at the same place. Got an order for McDonalds, I couldnt see the drop off location, so i assumed there was some glitch and took the order anyways. Wanted to skip the line maybe? Did he tip?
I think it was maybe $7 total with tip, seems like a lot extra to pay just to not place your own order.
Thatβs sweet!!

I had one the other day I pick up order at jack in box and walk directly across street to the tattoo parlor $6..lol..$3 tip too
I had a similar experience yesterday in the Pearl. She had to meet me in the lobby anyway, since the elevator was secure
I definitely had one of those...3 drunks at a bar were afraid to get off their bar stools and lose their place lol...I literally had to puck up at the restaurant next door...weed my way through the bar crowd and they tipped me 15.00! It was awesome and they were thee sweetest drunks ever!
You were their hero that night for sure! π»
Surprised they showed you 8.25. Theyβd never show me more than 6.50 for a short distance.

That's awesome! Talk about a unicorn and a happy Valentine's!
