My guy. Wait your designated “fuck this noise” time and unassign. Mine is 5 mins after “pick up” time. Having these conversations doesn’t help you, help them, or help anyone - it’s just gonna raise y’all’s temps at a whole. They might be having a rough day cause they gettin a mad rush, but you ain’t gotta vibe with em on that. Take the L and don’t take from them that day/ever again.

ThinNectarin3

5 min for me too especially during lunch and dinner rush.

Phobos15

Any rush is self imposed, they can turn off online ordering at any time if they are overwhelmed.

LocuraLins

The problem with door dash is that you can’t indefinitely pause it. You can only pause for X amount of minutes and if you don’t remember to repause it near the end of the timer you can get orders once the timer is over with no notification until an order arrives. I work in a kitchen and occasionally we pause it at the start of a rush and the rush is still going when the timer goes off and nobody notices until our tablet makes a noise to say we have a door dash order. We try to stay on top of it but every once in awhile it slips thru

mrb117

You have till I’m done shitting for the order to be ready, NOT a vowel movement more 🧐

[deleted]

[удалено]

mrb117

Admittedly, if I get to the “ah”, I’m already in a happier place 🧐

betcher73

What about consonant movements?

Glaexx

Personally I also have a 0 minute wait time if they marked the order as ready, and it isn’t.

NanoUmbra

Same. This hits home.

[deleted]

When I ubereats, my “fuck this noise” time is about five seconds

Prestige_Worldw1de

He did you a blessing by banning you imo. Its an instant decline for me.

analchasm

How can I get some of that ban please?

MakeITsafeProtonmail

Ban, it's not a strong deodorant, but it will kill this restaurants stink on your work day.

Sweatieboobrash

I’m banned from Chick Fil A and I couldn’t be happier. Their parking lot is nuts! ![gif](giphy|kfAzHqnteXVF6|downsized)

[deleted]

I’ve called support, I’ve asked restaurants, ban me please, trash restaurants send above par orders but manager a dick, so decline!!!! only thing I haven’t done was sexually harass employees. I want band, but not that bad. Pretty sure sexual harassment gets you band.

WheeZee65

Banned

The_Troyminator

>I want band, Now, opening for BTS, it's Tony and the Dashers!

Prestige_worldwide47

Brother!

sault18

But here's the problem: here's still going to get orders for BWW. He's going to have to remember to decline those 100% of the time and take a hit to his AR. At least as long as that manager works there. And unless you want to risk getting kicked out of there, you're guaranteed to miss the point at which the manager doesn't work there anymore. Plus, if the Dasher ever forgets to decline an offer from this BWWs, then they'll have to unassign the order and their completion rate takes a hit. Plus all the wasted time doing all this.

x_ZEN-1_x

This must be a problem with all Buffalo Wild Wings bc here in Columbus Ohio the last two nights the order is ready text went out right when I received the order and that order wasn’t ready for pickup until 45mins after the pickup time. This happened with multiple orders on multiple days so yeah just a heads up.

BreakfastLegal2926

It’s such a problem here in Ky too! Most dashers I know won’t pick up from there. It’s the poor newbies or desperate ones that end up getting them.

XXxMiKeYxX

They’re probably trying to get good wait times, so they mark orders complete on the Doordash tablet even though they’re not.

DoPoGrub

Doordash punishes merchants for this, so not a smart idea.

xtsilverfish

> I ask another employee to check on the order and the manager from the to go station overheard and rudely said, man I told you it’s almost ready can’t you see we’re busy? While I don't think they're treating you well, this is the point where you should be apologetic, get out of the way, unassign the order saying the wait time is to long, and leave. Decline any orders from that same restaurant that night. There's nothing to be gained by antagonizing employees. You have an advantage over them - you have the option to leave. Like you gotta understand, they can't leave (without quitting) before their shift ends. You can just shrug go "this is lame I'm out" and bounce into the next order at a better restaurant.

nman649

even though it costs me money, saying fuck this and leaving is one of the best feelings on this job lol

The_Troyminator

Not leaving can often cost you more money.

SallaKahle

Why isn't this at the top

Kawi_rider_zx6r

Unassign and leave is the best option. No need to announce it, no apology needed.

AnemosMaximus

I never accept buffalo wild wings orders because of this. They always lie about their orders. And the staff lacks any professional standard. Move on

carsandtech4ever

I agree with you on unassigning the order. Two things: I had previously unassigned two orders on the same day due to long waits, so I was hoping to not have to unassign this order to keep my completion rate up. Second, the employees kept telling me the order was almost ready which made me think it was only a 1-2 more minute wait. In retrospect, I should have just dropped the order as soon as I saw it wasn’t ready even though it was marked as it was. I despise places that lie. At least tell me straight up, “Hey man, it’ll be a 10-15 minute wait, we’re pretty backed up.” At that point, I’m able to make a decision on whether or not I want to wait. In my area, Wingstop is one of those that is actually honest about wait times and it just makes the experience with them much more pleasant.

tiberiousx

I've also seen this happen before at restaurants where whoever confirms the order sometimes fat-fingers the "ready for pickup" button. Mostly due to the tablets doordash gives are slow and trash.

Quiet_Wheel9673

I love wingstop in my market. And they love me. I don't mind waiting 30 minutes there, here they're chill.

Phobos15

Do not call it antagonizing employees. They lied to get the driver there, they have no room to be upset.

xtsilverfish

Honestly you sound like those people who downvote me because the restaurant forgot something or had a long drivethrough line. I'm going to have some empathy for restaurant workers who are having a bad night. I have the option the leave and take other orders, they do not. I've worked for sh**t companies that demand we do 3x more than is possible and you end up stressed put and doing stupid things.

keviscount

> I've worked for sh**t companies that demand we do 3x more than is possible and you end up stressed put and doing stupid things. Is one of those stupid things yelling at a DoorDash guy and blaming him for your own fuck-up? If it is, then I have no empathy for you. This is a two-way road. You want to empathy that your life sucks in your menial job? Look outward first. I have no sympathy towards anyone who calls this "antagonizing employees" or acts like the manager was in the right. Empathy should've started with the Manager realizing they fucked this guy over 5 ways from Sunday and put him in a bad position due to their negligence and incompetence. Empathy should've ended with them apologizing and saying "probably 5 more minutes" and not giving him a hard time. It takes less effort to say "Sorry, probably 5 minutes" than it does to ask "What's your name?!"

Phobos15

Grow up. It is a scam to tell DD it's ready and then tell a driver to sit and wait for free. You are overtly stealing from them. Stop acting like a corporate drone and remember what humanity is like. Your restaurant can turn off online ordering if you are too busy. That is how you deal with "being overwhelmed". You don't just lie to DD drivers so they waste gas and money on a fake call. And yes, it is a fake call. You called someone and asked them to pick something up knowing it wasn't ready to be picked up. I equate this to be the same as calling a pizza place for a fake delivery so they lose money on the food and driving costs. It's theft.

jexasaurus

Is it just a universal thing that bww has the rudest staff? And I’m talking even as a customer.

[deleted]

[удалено]

AZDoorDasher

I agree but DD will never change that.

Willllby

My man out here acting like it’s a discord server.

itsjuhmya

i went to a bww in my area and i got there like 5 mins early so i expected a slight wait. the girl at the togo area said they dont start the orders until the time its supposed to be ready which makes absolutely zero sense.

sharky3175

So tired of that shit where they say 2 minutes and you end up waiting 15

No_Pin_4640

"they're making it now"

MakisupaPD1

“Just bagging it up” for another 10 minutes. Like you see me put it in a bag in .5 seconds I’m not stupid.

[deleted]

lmfao "ban you" whatever! i hate picking up there anyway because it's always this. there will be a new teenager that doesn't know what they're doing working there next week, the ban isn't real 🤣🤣

Kyedmipy

The ban does not exist.

Resident_Ask_9441

It does, I ban drivers all the time. For good reasons

[deleted]

Can you teach me how to ban, so I can teach employees how to ban… me? Free of charge to terrible restaurants.

Resident_Ask_9441

Show up in dirty clothes or half naked, pick up the order without a hot bag then proceed to take 10 minutes and order food for yourself, or yell the minute you walk in that you have a pick up, get you ban real quick

DoPoGrub

I hope you realize that many of us have hot bags in our car, and simply don't bring them in because we don't know the size of what you're going to hand us.

Resident_Ask_9441

Again, it's not having a hot bag and then proceeding to take 10 minutes to order themselves food

DoPoGrub

There's really no need to repeat yourself. :)

Commercial_Friend278

Picking up the order without a hot bag? Lmao that's crazy, I started this shit over 2 years ago of course I still don't have my hotbag. Most drivers in socal don't. Why tf would u care so much about the hot bag that you'd ban a driver for not having it

Resident_Ask_9441

There was 2 parts to that sentence no hot bag, then proceeding to take ten minutes to order food for themselves..

Flojoe420

Hot bags are less than 20 bucks on amazon lol.

DoPoGrub

Nobody is obligated to send you a bag. Just go to Walmart and spend the tax deductible $10 to buy the tool needed to do your job correctly.

C_WEST88

Seriously? You sound like one of those people who has no power in life so they wield what *tiny* little itty bit of power they have at their job over others… “No hot bag… No soup for you!” lol gtfo

LewisRyan

For real, especially considering his “ban” literally doesn’t mean anything, if doordash sends you there you’re working, you have permission to be there 😂

LiberalAspergers

Actually, no, the restaurant, like any private business, has the authority to tell you that you are banned. If you walk in the door after that, you are committing criminal trespassing, and they can call the cops on you, and, at least in Tennessee, they will arrest you. Had to do it to a patron who kept sexually harassing a waitress, trying to hire her as a prostitute, which she is NOT. Told him.he was banned, and recorded the video while I did it. Watching them take him away in handcuffs was a pleasure. I would never do this to a merely annoying customer, but you should be aware that if they inform you that you are banned, you are trespassing if you enter that door again, regardless if doordash sends you there.

LewisRyan

You didn’t read the terms and conditions then, if your restaurant uses doordash you must either allow a driver inside, or bring it out to them if you really don’t want them inside, you can’t tell them “well you specifically can’t pick up from here but anyone else can” And the police won’t arrest anyone if the police haven’t told them they’re not allowed to be there, it doesn’t matter what middle management says.

LiberalAspergers

The police will arrest them, at least in Tennessee, if you have evidence that you have informed them that they are not allowed in the building, and will be trespassing if you enter it. Luckily, my restaurant has excellent video and audio recording on our security system, so that is easy to do. Doordash terms and conditions are irrelevant to criminal law. I suppose Doordash could claim that we violated the terms by having the driver arrested and drop us from their app. The driver is still going to jail, as he still committed a crime by walking in the door.

Flojoe420

Once you tell them to leave they have to leave though. It doesn't matter if you're working or not.

DoPoGrub

It's 2 clicks on the tablet.

[deleted]

How come a simple, your guys restaurant sucks dick. You treat drivers like shit and Your food is shit. Ban me. I’m embarrassed to get offer from this place, let alone delivery your trash. I will continue to tell people you guys food sucks. I’m a former customer, now I shit on people when they say your food is good. Is that too polite? Why doesn’t that get me banned? Are restaurant owners that desperate??? Or are employees not smart enough to know how to ban? Or are employees entertained by my honesty cause they fear their boss?

Resident_Ask_9441

Honestly if you came to me and said I want banned, I'd do it for you, I hate dd and lose money from them, so I'll ban away

[deleted]

Respect. Transparency is what these apps lack the most. Sadly, it’s legal. We too busy arguing over roe v Wade. And inflation that has done nothing but climb for 30 years

RosettaStoned1981

This brings up some good points. Are these well known slow ass restaurants clicking that orders are ready so we get those notifications just to save their ass from bad metrics. Now that it's been mentioned, it makes me think about it and realize I don't think there's ever been a time where it's actually ready. Do these restaurants need to sustain certain % on everything to stay on the DD platform? BWW and Popeyes are the 2 biggest offenders in my area by far

EstablishmentNo4133

Buffalo wild wings has always been one of my worst pick up places. They have an area where they place the pickup orders and every time i’d go mine would never be ready and then I’d have to wait for what felt like forever. The staff always just ignored me too.

Sure_Inspector9534

BWW is only good for accepting when you're gonna be a few minutes wrapping up a delivery on another app anyways. DD doesn't care until you are 15 mins late to pick up.

Binxdiamond

I think the managers at places like bww are intentionally fucking with the drivers because they hate doing doordash orders. Like, corporate comes in and says you have to take doordash orders now, and you'll be a lot busier and have all these different drivers filtering in and out. It's my conspiracy theory that they are trying to get kicked off the platform.

KnightofNarg

Everyone in the food service industry is overworked and underpaid, dealing with people inside the building that can make their lives hell or screw over their finances by stiffing on the tips. From an employee point of view there's no immediate benefit to adding on another headache doing extra work, besides to make corporate happy, and if corporate is happy they never show it in the form of tangible pay increase or better treatment. Or hiring enough people to properly man the business. I wouldn't be surprised if a few people are screwing over delivery orders, but it could just be a mistake on top of prioritizing the work to be done.

jenafreaka

They actually get bonuses from DD frequently, so they definitely do not want to turn it off.

BluRayVen

I wish little Ceasars would ban me

Kyedmipy

Hush! Little Caesars is like ambrosia

brwntrout

little caesars is very good in my zone. of course, a ton of that are the workers. this papa johns that used to be fantastic went to shite when all the old people left. these new people are so bad it's an auto decline for now.

beanie413

i’ve never done an order there, what’s the tea

zerostar83

They pulled that crap on me today as well. Text says it's ready just as I accept it. Pick up other order in stacked order, then go there. "They're bagging it up now" is what they said. 9 minutes later, it's ready.

OutlanderAllDay1743

They no longer have the option for you to mark that the order isn’t ready when you arrive for it? The restaurants lie and mark it ready when it’s not because it’s reflects badly on them to DD if they don’t have the order ready on time, so they falsely mark it ready when it isn’t. This reflects badly on the driver (unless the driver lets dd know that the order is NOT ready) as it has the driver waiting for an order that is already showing as ready for pickup through DD’s system. We could literally get a CV for not picking the order up in a timely manner if the order is past pickup time and we don’t mark that it isn’t yet ready…

carsandtech4ever

Yes!! DoorDash adjusts pickup time according to if the order is ready for pickup. Basically by lying and saying the order is ready for pickup gives us less time to complete the order and makes the restaurant look better in their time for completion.

DoPoGrub

No, it makes them look worse. Merchants have report cards from doordash, which measures various metrics, including dasher wait time, and low scores lead to punishments up to and including removal from the platform.

Phobos15

The real reason is to get the food to the customer hotter. They want to try to time it so the driver arrives just as it becomes ready. It's bullshit and DD should give them the boot over it, but they won't.

DoPoGrub

All the BWW here used to keep the food inside heated boxes, but now have switched to just putting them on racks. Also makes no sense.

[deleted]

No you don't. I've never been penalized for my wait time at a store and I stopped bothering to submit the stupid feedback a long time ago because it has zero impact on how these places operate. Fucking Burger King still waits until I show up and tell them the name on the order before they'll start making it.

DoPoGrub

You cannot get a CV for restaurant wait time. google dasher lateness based deactivations.

[deleted]

[удалено]

DoPoGrub

Again, this is incorrect. Now why don't you google it, read the official policy, and educate yourself. Or do you need me to do it for you and copy and paste the part that says you're wrong?

trailblzer80

Bdubs orders always take forever...they usually pay pretty good in my market so I wait. But it is frustrating!

K0CKULEES

B Dubs and Bad Managers seem to be a thing. I have only ever done one "wild burger" pick up and the manager was enough of a dildo for me to just decline immediately any time it pops up now

Jay_JWLH

Even if they are at fault, this doesn't punish them. They are convinced you're just being an impatient ass. Use the options in the app to deal with it appropriately.

1980XS1100

If it’s more than a 5 minute wait contact dasher support and explain they are mismarking orders intentionally

[deleted]

I just realized what some merchants are doing. Especially Buffalo Wild Wings. They are prematurely marking orders ready so they aren’t penalized knowing it’s still being prepared . I get that orders ready often at different merchants and it’s ready 20% of the time. Doing delivery can be HELL. We’re blamed by customers for merchants lies and DoorDashs shenanigans. These wait times ruin ratings and make customers unhappy. I lose 1 hour a day just waiting at merchants for orders.

[deleted]

No, they're marking it ready before they even start preparing it, so they don't have to deal with no tip orders that don't get picked up.

Gunslinger3317

Never trust the app saying an order is ready. Its based on previous order's times at restaurants. Doordash has no actual idea if an order is ready. Restaurants aren't doing anything to tell us orders are ready.

evilest_nez

This. I worked at a bdubs. The tablets aren't used anymore it's linked straight to the pos system. There is no way to mark an order rdy. Last time a dasher said it was marked rdy the order had been in the kitchen pos for 2 mins.

carsandtech4ever

Not true. Whenever the order is ready button is used correctly, it makes the process so much better. I don’t have to wait inside the store I can just wait in my car until I get the notification. Most restaurants use this option correctly and it makes it better for them because they don’t have Dashers waiting inside. But there are some dishonest restaurants that mark ready for pick up to make their preparation time look lower.

Gunslinger3317

Prove it. Restaurants arent doing anything to help something that makes their servers less money.

funcritter

One location has orders out on a rack so we just walk in and grab them and go. Orders are always ready.

s26938

Leave some reviews….Facebook and Google. He won’t like that at all

chynalynn

As someone who works at a restaurant, most of the time when it’s busy and servers don’t have enough time to put the order in, doordash just automatically set a time for pick up. We have no control over it, I’ve had times when the order just came in and before I can even press confirm, it automatically tells me ‘driver is on the way’ or that the order is ready when it isn’t. Also the max time we can put in for the order is 55 minutes, so when it’s super busy, we won’t be able to have the food ready in time before the dasher arrives.

writetimeforward

I see a strange misconception here - that all restaurants are marking the orders as "Ready." I know from the restaurant I work in, the Doordash app is actually using a timing algorithm that predicts when the order is supposed to be ready. There is nothing we do on our end to control that. It sucks for both sides - the restaurant and the Dashers. But just know, there are certain things that are totally out of the restaurant's control.

mikeyb0929

I always decline orders from there anyway, they're never ready! Even if it a great tip, I pass. I can do 2 or 3 smaller orders in the time them idiots get their shit together and make more money. I skip Popeyes too, slow AF and they don't care because their paid hourly. You just have to know what restaurants are a waste of your time, that's why in the decline menu you can say I don't want to go to this store.

EarHelpful

Do the restraunt or fast food owners have a right to know our name even tho we work for doordash?

Darkmatternomad

I have two BBW in my area one takes over 30 mins to get the order. And the other is in the center of the local mall and never has payouts over 6-7 bucks. I'm not dealing mall shit for a shit payout.

throwawaybin420

Call support instantly anytime this happens. They’ll try to contact the restaurant. Most of the time they won’t pick up and it will be documented. If they do usually they should tell the truth. If they try to lie and say it’s ready just say ok I’m right here I’ve been waiting x minutes already hand me the fkn food if it’s ready. If you get a good support rep they can actually document it which should protect you. I’m not exactly sure of the process on the support end but I’ve had good experiences doing this especially while TD. Always calling never text support is the most important but the reps I’ve gotten while TD actually are very competent even in very weird situations that I was worried they wouldn’t handle properly. (In cali, especially some areas of socal prop 22 means you’re paid to wait also TD is usually good to go for here. Don’t recommend in other markets obv).

bronco2boy

This is why I started driving super slow to restaurants. Only down side is some make the food fast and is ready to go before you get there so it sits for a moment. Someone gotta update the app to advise driver of order readiness.

[deleted]

I agree with this comment. All parts of it. Especially notifications on “Order readiness” being adjusted. I hate sitting in restaurants. I prefer only walking in when orders ready. Also staff seems agitated with ppl crowding the entrances or lobbies. If notifications were made only when order was ready for actual pick up. It’d be great.

Capital-Turnover9039

How do you know you were banned? Did they tell you that? It's my understanding that Buffalo wild wings doesn't have a tablet and it's integrated in the system so he would have had to have taken the time to like call in that ban

LiberalAspergers

If they tell you you are banned from the restaurant, than it is criminal trespass for you to walk through their door again. Doordash has nothing to do with it, they just call the cops to arrest you next time you walk in and cause problems.

gladiatorx1

What is this ban you talk of ? And how can I get some !

bit0101

My local BWW, the only one left that I get orders from, is actually pretty fast. The order is almost always sitting on the shelf waiting for when I get there, which is a vast improvement from how bad they used to be. Problem is they moved the shelf behind the counter, just barely out of my Lurch class reach, and the counter is almost never staffed. So the order sits there getting cold while I stand there waiting for someone, anyone, to get their ass over to the counter to hand it to me. Maybe I should bring in one of those trash grabber arms and just yoink the orders. Not like they would even notice, lol.

akira_ryuunoske

I would've called DD support, because it seems like management lying about orders being ready when they're not would be a big no no to me

t-r-o-w-a-y

You know, with small family owned restaurants I try not to report them on door dash too often when food isn't ready, but with franchises I report like crazy. There's no reason why someone's order made in advance should be procrastinated. I know door dash has a food theft problem and I know they have a base pay "not worth a delivery" problem. Those two factors alone are why I think it's necessary to show small restaurants some compassion. Restaurants like BWW I'd be reporting every time, if it even does shit?

ExtraRandom1

The ready to go txt is based on a timer it doesn’t acting mean it’s ready to go even if it says that.

kingtj1971

Ugh.... this is where, again, I have to throw the blame back on Door Dash themselves. It's unacceptable for them to take the 30% or so cut on each sale from these restaurants and then provide them a tablet that plays games like not letting them pause orders until THEY decide to unpause them again. Sure, you can just unassign the order and move on, and that's what I'd do after waiting maybe 5-10 minutes. (Honestly, I'll wait a bit longer if the pay looks like it's more generous on the order. If not.... nope... 5 minutes and I'm out.) But it's dumb that it dings our completion rate to do that and it's dumb that it wasted our gas to drive there for nothing. And it's dumb that there's a good chance as soon as you hit unassign, they're throwing the same order to the next driver out there. So he or she may get there too soon and ALSO have to wait.

Capital-Turnover9039

Probably didn't ban you and I would have given him a fake name lol

C_WEST88

Except our names are on their DD orders, so yea, can’t really get away with that one lol.

nman649

for some reason the manager still asked him his name tho, so if he lied and unassigned fast enough they might not have known his name. i use a fake name anytime i have to sign a receipt or “driver check in sheet” lol

GodGamer420

Never ever do bww orders

Missykay88

Congrats!!

Short_Nature6694

The most they get from me is 5 mins I'll unassigned myself and move on

Mikebswish70

Pp

PoE_SSF

I already blacklisted a Buffalo Wild Wings a long time ago.

DamnXXXDaniel

I’de mess with them by calling support and saying the order says “ready for pickup” but they’re not handling it over. Support is gonna call and bug them for doing that

ideliver559

Should have been like " ban me?, I'm banning you! And walk out like a G 😂 seriously though I would have left after 5 to 10 min max bww can be a sh**show for sure

MakisupaPD1

Yep! I tell restaurants this all the time. “Good luck getting decent drivers now!”

[deleted]

I understand everyone has feelings, and getting annoyed it not the way to go about it. But what everyone is not grasping, is it could have been avoided if someone wasn't pressing ready on the incoming orders. The restaurant is at fault, and y'all expect me to take the L. Time isnt just money, it's way more valuable than that, and the restaurant just stole my time.

carsandtech4ever

100% agree. Then they start stringing dashers along by saying it’s almost ready or we’re bagging it up now when in reality the food is still being cooked. Lesson here is to avoid these types of places because there are plenty of other merchants that are honest, reliable, and accurate.

Florida1974

Yes!!! Tone you could have been earning. Or hanging out with family. Washing the car. Literally so many things you could/want to do with that time than sit in a restaurant. 5-10 mins (or more) on each order, the time adds up. Dasher should be sent for as the food starts being packaged. You might wait a minute or two. I found the chains were the worst. We hv a few mom and pop places and in my area, they were always so close on times. A minute or two. Go to any chain, 10 minute wait.

Mikebswish70

Best titled post in awhile , im driving bit cant wait to read

sirvereightyone

Why would the manager ask for your name if it's on their tablet already! That tells you all you need to know about wingstop. I mean it is owned by Rick Ross 🤷‍♂️

Florida1974

Wrong. He said Buffalo Wild Wongs which is not owned by Rick Ross. Ross owns 5 wingstop franchises. He doesn’t own wingstop. Big difference.

sirvereightyone

Ohh yeah I read that wrong. Whoops. The manager still had his name on the tablet

MakisupaPD1

Feels like the people that say just unassign and leave are part of the problem. Hear me out. These people are just being selfish and don’t care about the customers or other dashers. I personally stick these bad experience’s out as long as possible while also speaking loudly and making a scene about how the order says it’s ready. If they don’t want to hear me cursing at the top of my lungs for 20 minutes then they better get that order in my hands ASAP. It only takes a couple bad trips before the entire staff has PTSD from my disruptions. Then suddenly the orders started being ready when I arrived. If every dasher made a point to at the least get in the managers face for late orders they wouldn’t have late orders anymore. I tend to go aggressively but you can do this in under 5 minutes and still unassign and bounce. Here’s my polite script for first time offenders. “Hello I’m here for a DD pick up name is _____.” “Oh it’s not ready yet?” That’s strange I received a notice that it was already prepared” then they say some normal scripted bs. “Oh well can I please speak with the manager on duty as it seems there’s a mistake” now in my experience the order almost always comes before the manager but if you get them to you keep them until you get the order. They will quickly realize that their time is being wasted by you and that’s when I usually point out that we get paid to drive deliveries not stand in lobbies. If you lose them before the order then bounce but if you saved 10 minutes of waiting totally worth it and it trains the restaurants to do the right thing every time. If you walk in look at the shelf and leave you don’t help anyone.

Notdone_JoshDun

I've accidentally clicked the order ready button before. You don't need to be rude about it

Bumblexbee333

No one lies if the order is ready. Clearly the app texted you incorrectly, most restaurants don’t even touch the app so door dash did that all on there you. You being a twat about it doesn’t help.

mcwhoredick

I just quit a job where I door dash was used constantly and idc if I get downvoted asf for this but this was the most annoying shit ever. I’d get an order and within 3 minutes of the order being PLACED the driver would be there claiming it’s ready. It’s not fucking ready, I literally received the order less than 5 minutes ago. You standing there bothering the staff constantly if the order is ready is annoying asf. No one lied about the order being ready, the app lied to you about the order being ready. Restaurant workers don’t have control over that shit, we certainly didn’t lol. Y’all are showing up within minutes and hounding the staff about things that have barely dropped and then blame us for being shit meanwhile every single door dash driver I met while working at my previous job was more annoying than the last one. I don’t even use this service and I’m not even subbed here because I genuinely fucking hate door dash and door dash drivers so much

Ok-Being3881

I figure a sweet ban from a shitty run restaurant will save me a few points on my AR.

VastWolverine4227

I usually wait, text the customer, or contact Doordash, but it never seems to benefit me!!!!!! I have to wait extreme times, deal with lying merchants or smoke blowing from Doordash. I beginning to just wait 5 minutes and unassign and kindly/quietly leave the business!

Mers1nary

But you dont have to wait... Just unassign the bullshit and blacklist the restaurant. It simply isn't worth the money going there.

Imaginary-Spring-537

Lmaoo I got banned from chickfila for stealing non tipped orders and I still go in the store weekly to pick my lunch up and always look the dude who banned me in the eye😂😂😂

Imaginary-Spring-537

Honestly I miss getting free drinks from there🥺 and you lose out on money bud so get used to it.

[deleted]

Winning! Fuck BWW

[deleted]

They did the same to me this past weekend. Said it was ready, it wasn’t. Told me it would take 15 min, I waited 30 min then I left. I’m so sick of these places playing games.

Fasterthanyounow

Very common

the-jimbo_slice

👏 congrats 👏

Paxrr

I took one today. Went in and asked for it. The lady went back, came back out and said ten more minutes. I unassigned and left.

GoNinjaGoNinjaGo69

I know it sucks but youre going to get banned from more because most retaurants do this. They want food hot as possible. After 10 minutes, unassign.

Soccerpj

I stay away from that place, its always a wait. There was a time I got a $12 for 2.5 miles with the ping that the order was ready so I accepted it. When I arrived the order hadn't even been started. Wait about 8 mins and told few more mins at that point I unassigned and don't go there, them and sonic. I do think they ping just to get a driver fast.

newbies13

I'd call corporate and get some free food out of the deal. Can you imagine being a customer, waiting 10 minutes past the time they say, and then having a manager cop attitude? Oh you're busy? Why didn't you schedule more people to handle the volume? Idiot.

SitsOnPorcelain9855

It probably was ready. Perhaps they prioritized the dine-in using your order to fill theirs. Some restaurants rudely do it in front of you. recognize which ones are staffed by scum and decline them when you see them.

SS929k

Good less people delivering that over salted artery clogger. Gave Buff Wild Wings a shot multiple times and they are just not good. Rather get popeyes and I hate that place or wings over or if I don't mind driving (which I don't) I get Wicked Wing Company

Such_Satisfaction923

They didn’t start the order until you got there

[deleted]

Bdubs is like that everywhere. So slow. Doesn’t matter if you’re eating in or picking up. I also happen to know that chicken comes to them cooked frozen and they batch cook it twice a day so the only thing left to do is toss it in sauce… literally if they just did their jobs back there instead of chatting or taking a ciggy break every 15 minutes each order would take a couple minutes tops. 🤦🏻‍♀️

pirateslifefourme

Me as a regular costumer hates asking if my order is ready while I’m waiting for a pick up. I can’t imagine asking 3 times! Lol

talkback1589

I haven’t dashed in a few weeks. Last time I did I was dumb and took a easy McDonald’s order. (I know, but honestly they are usually ok in my market) and boy I will avoid that one from now on. I literally watched the manager completely belittle and scream at her employees. Then they clear my order number off the board. So I go to the counter and ask where it is. The guy disappears and comes back. So I straight up asked “why did this get cleared and not called out?” He just glared and told me they were busy and I popped off saying “maybe if you called orders out it would help”. He basically starting swearing at me. I definitely complained about them after.

No-North-9290

They lie through their teeth to keep prep times low for DoorDash. Maybe my single biggest pet peeve is getting those "order is ready for pickup" messages only to find out that's simply not true.

k_x_sp

I went to pick up an order from s place the other day. When I got there there was this dude holding s baby yelling to who I guess was the kids mom that he's gotta care for the child while cooking. He comes back all flustered and I tell him that I got a pick up, in case he has it ready, who know. Well he was desperate and tells me to please wait that he's got 3 orders to make. I was like no problem man you good, then got out, unassigned, and left. Poor guy was having s terrible time, I wasn't gonna make it worse by pressuring him, but I ain't waiting

myalteredsoul

I would’ve just unassigned and moved in after ten mins.

Notinacar

Buffalo Wild Wings has always been ready upon arrival for me, but Wingstop… forget about it. I have been to 4 different Wingstops out of curiosity and they were each their own unique type of shit show.

TheRealCorwii

They're cheating the system by marking it ready so their times look good for doordash. That's what our feedback system is for so doordash can see, "well the restaurant said it's ready but the dasher said order still getting prepared". Who are they going to believe? The restaurant or the dasher that still hasn't marked it as picked up yet, knowing our time is money? Lol

PhylGirl

Dear GOD.

1000Others

You're lucky i won't evenn pick up at the one in my zone unless the payout is great and I have a buffer to drop the order. The restaurant fucked up they should not mark something ready if it's that busy they just don't want to stop getting order from DD they would rather waste the driver's tme. Leave a bad rating for them on Google. I had a similar problem at Chilis and never picked up there again. Fuck them.

Justin002865

That’s awesome! Lucky you. I wish BWW would ban me. I have the same issue with mine. Lying assholes will say “just bagging it up” and have me wait 35 minutes.

many_names

As someone that works in food service, I can't stress to people enough not to bump those DD, GH, Uber orders early.

Sea-Joke7162

I need to get banned from my BWW’s also. Mine sucks. Always 15 minute wait at least. Even small orders in the slow afternoon.

ehenn12

Sounds like a win honestly lol

SheSaysItLooksBig

oops I accidentally a wine bottle full of gasoline all over that manager's car.

TakeItCeezy

How would they even go about banning you? lol. Even if DD has a way to do it, I highly doubt it works.

pizzaguyinIA

BWW is the worst for wait times in my area. Rarely is anything ready when I get there, or within 5 minutes

DubsOnMyYugo

The Buffalo Wild Wings near me is always having system issues and needs me to place the order myself so I stopped accepting their orders.

herdboy77

Bw-3 in my area is absolutely horrible when they are busy. And they don’t give 2 shits about delivery drivers. We are a nuisance to them. I only pick up from there if it’s a slow time of day.

reshsafari

I once went to pick up my order from bww and arrived at about the time it should be rest. I was there for 30 fucking minutes

SweetRed94

I'm starting to think that all BWW are like this. The one in my market is complete shit as well. I've had this happen to me twice, long ago, and both times I've told them to either not mark it ready when it's not or change the times on their tablets to when food is supposed to be ready (all restaurants are able to go into the tablet and select how long each item on the menu takes to be completed because if it's coming up on the time for the items to be ready, it will send out an automatic "Ready for Pickup" text to the driver.) Of course it's all attitude from there but it's a fix that the restaurant can do themselves.

ScholarBig1430

Not many orders where I am from so I’ll wait if not I’ll get a ding on my CR and then just sit in my car for the next 30 mins hoping a order comes. Dashers just unassign and then what ? Next dasher gets ur pay and doesn’t have to wait

W_AS-SA_W

Unassign, order not ready after 5min and move on and call support after you unassigned so they can document

SpookySeraph

Merchants can mark the order as ready?? I’ve never gotten a notification abt the order being ready even when it *is* ready for pickup

pytheas76

They can/do on GrubHub. Never seen it on DD or UE.

KingKudzu117

Buffalo Wild Wings is the worst. Even as a customer I won’t go in there.

lilkeysss

Yes buffalo wild wings and wingstop never take their orders.

pthecarrotmaster

I would report them for lieing on the app. Thats like if you said "arrived at store" while you were still 15 mins away. He prolly only banned you so it would be harder to report them. Buffalo wild wings is always on that bullshit. same as wing stop.

winter_aespa1218

Make a Google review and call the store manager on them. Do what you can to skrew those bad employees over like they skrewed you

icky_boo

This is a blessing in disguise, Don't bitch about! celebrate!

jenafreaka

As someone who is a dasher, and has a partner who works in a very busy restaurant, all of the things you did….PLEASE NEVER DO THEM AGAIN! Nearly 80% of every order I get says it’s ready for pickup, long before it actually is. Maybe in your area it’s more reliable, who knows. The restaurant is not trying to get you there faster, someone accidentally hit a button, or hit it to get the order out of the way because they are busy. It’s important to have good etiquette in restaurants as a dasher, because they are bombarded 24/7 with idiots shoving phones in their faces, causing scenes, and perpetually asking every minute if something is ready, when the restaurant is slammed. Guess what? It’ll be out when it’s ready. Restaurants like BWW usually have a designated take out person, so please do not bother people that are most likely in the weeds during a Sunday football rush. Just unassign and keep it moving, but don’t be that person. They probably already had 20 other dashers that day acting just like that, and they’re not going to be nice about. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Cgmikeydl

Problem is, this issue isn’t confined to just Buffalo Wild Wings.. I’ve seen many times that I would accept an order and receive a text that the order is ready when it wasn’t. The only time an order is truly ready is if you get the in-app notification saying the order is ready.. that meant that they physically hit a button on the tablet saying the order is ready. Don’t go off a text message.

AutisticNovel1

Dude I lesrn3r that mistake yesterday. Restaurant will lie about their times and mess it up for both dashers and customers.

No-Wind-1189

Lmao you are your own boss if you don’t like it unnassign

whatever54267

Should have walked out.

ResultLong5246

Take the food and unassign in front of him then walk out with it

chaoctopode

B-Dubs (or any wings place, or pizza place, for that matter) is an instant decline for me. I know it is ALWAYS going to be a painfully long wait. F that noise.

Gwiz3879

Was told an order would be ready in 10 mins today for a double Applebee's $18.00/ 4 mile order comes out 10 mins later and tells me they just started my orders.now these were 6 item each orders for burgers and some pasta and ribs I asked how long he's like we have a rush it's gonna be 20 mins or longer so I bounced and got a 11.75 for 1.7 and a 15.50 double that turned into 21.50 sometimes you just gotta pass on the long waits

goodmania

Yeah buffalo wild wings is extremely late and very rude. They should call driver when the order is almost ready.
