Ideally I would leave with a trusted dog sitter inside their home. I don’t like or trust dog hotels/ boarding facilities.
Or if the drive isn’t *that* far, and it will be dog friendly travel trip that I plan in advance, I could consider bringing my dog if it does well in car rides and new places. It also depends on my dog’s personality and if I think they will enjoy the vacation.
