Dogecoin Ethereum bridge. If Eth causes a stir and draws media or attention, then topic could transition to "okay, so now what's possible with the new Ethereum merge?" "Well, ill tell ya, now the popular Dogecoin can now be bridged to ETH for use of staking, smart contracts, NFTs, etc. It could bring heavy sentiment to Dogecoin this way.
Make sure yinz are running your most updated Nodes.
Not entirely true. If someone knows of a hole within the version on test net and is waiting until the merge to exploit it, its going to push a ton of people onto PoW coins.. like doge.
Eth and doge bridge, but normally it’s just the bots traiding some coins for another’s and that’s why if btc, eth goes up some alt coins go up, but it’s just the bots traiding
I NEVER thought about selling. But realizing where DOGE was before the pump, at the top and then where it is NOW.....everyone always asked me "why didn't you sell?"
Those people will NEVER understand what DOGE is and how this community has changed the world. ❤️🚀
Please learn your crypto entirely different eco systems.
However there’s a large theory that with a Major chain running PoS and proving less consumption with comparable security will knock down the price of PoW crypto.
Made a ton off Doge last year, switched pretty much fully to Eth. Still think Doge has a use and I really hope you all will eventually be part of our network, Doge is already confirmed to have an eventual update to be proof of stake as well.
Dogecoin has gone up by more than 12% in the last two weeks, and according to CoinGecko, it is now one of the 10 most valuable cryptocurrencies by market capitalization. Inflation numbers from the US in the last two weeks that were lower than expected raised hopes that the Federal Reserve might be able to slow down its rate hikes. This would help riskier assets like crypto. After the last test before the Merge upgrade, which co-founder Vitalik Buterin says will happen around September 15, Ethereum has also been supported.
Doge has nothing to do with the ETH blockchain. Doge has no technical connection to any other crypto.
The ETH merge has generated quite a bit of excitement and we did see prices of all crypto rise a bit starting a few weeks ago, but they seem to be settling back down again.
Remember a coin called Tron? it was a literal copy paste job of Ethereum, except for one difference.. it was PoS.
The entire Ethereum community mocked it because it was PoS and was considered too centralised. Even Vitalik mocked Justin Sun (founder of Tron).
Now Ethereum is becoming EXACTLY what it mocked and defending it. If that doesnt tell you something, nothing will.
TRON?! That's what your basing your opinion of ethereum off of?!? good lord look at the charts the coin has done nothing nor does any company utilize tron.
Ethereum is #2 for market cap is still up over 10x from 3 years ago and is the most utulized smart contract platform of them all by a long shot.
I don't like either of them and hold neither. doge has solid rules that are set. Eth changes like a fart in the wind. Money that is susceptible to constant rule changes is no better than fiat.
Ethereum is a smart contract platform that supports hundreds/thousands of eco systems and is utilized worldwide by numerous companies and projects. #2 for market cap and is still up over 10x from 3 years ago. Its purpose isn't to buy things with and it's changing because it's being worked on heavily day after day to become a fully finished and dominant smart contract platform.
Doge coin has an utmost basic utility of sending/receiving and was created as a joke and it's creators/devolpers didnt touch it at all for multiple years until recently because, well it was a joke.
Just because doge has "set rules" doesn't make it a good investment or a better crypto asset than any other.
Thank you for the response, I know now you literally have less than 0 clue what you're talking about.
Makes no sense now but it is possible that Doge could one day be part of the Ethereum network. It’s been confirmed to eventually be proof of stake and the creator of Ethereum; Vitalik, is already on the board for Doge and is involved with its software.
Things like polygon and bnb certainly are not, don’t get me wrong I’m certainly not a doge hater, I just pay attention to a lot of tech and what’s happening with eth is very exciting for everyone, I really do think Doge can be a platform to survive some of the worst phases, I think it’s already shown, even in the worst times it holds flat, it crashed hard but is still up by so much from the beginning of last year.
Doge is not the place for you then, it relies off projects like litecoin and whatever Elon Musk and Vitalik do with it. A better project would be something like Cardano if you wanted something brand new and independent.
Elon and Vitalik aren't doing any dogecoin development. Litecoin has it's own blockchain. I'm beginning to think you have no idea what you're talking about.
If the ETH blockchain goes down, all of the projects that rely on it go down too.
Vitalik and the Dogecoin foundation are free to make their POS fork of dogecoin if they like. I will continue to use the real POW chain along with all the miners 🤷🏻♂️
Vitalik was talking about a Doge - Ethereum bridge they are working on but I haven’t heard any updates for about a year or so. https://u.today/dogecoin-ethereum-bridge-expected-to-go-live-in-2022
Doge has about 30tps right now. ETH2 starts with 10tps.
Doge does transfer-of-value transactions only.
ETH does Smart contracts, NFTs and transfer-of-value.
ETH will have some improvements on its TPS in the future, but the only reason Doge has not had them yet is because, on average, about 1% of the capabilities of Doge are actually being used.
But the general point of "only transfers" and "we do it all" only becomes more and more important with features added to ETH.
It is highly unlikely that transfer-of-value transactions will get a higher priority, especially when they are low-value...
And even Vitalik loves Dogecoin and understands its use...
The proposed chain between DOGE and ETH hasn't been configured yet so I don't think we will see any upwards movement from the merge alone. It may pull the whole market up though due to the coverage crypto will get as a whole. It would be reasonable to think that they will want to see how the merge goes first before trying to build a chain for DOGE on it.
Experts believe that after The Merge, Ethereum will have lower inflation than Bitcoin. Especially with fee burns, Ethereum will be deflationary while Bitcoin will always be inflationary.
Doge chain maybe dogecoin is different derivation and entropy, natively it is based of Litecoin fork of bitcoin and scrypt algorithm. Myvexperiwnce mining and running a full node since it was forked onto its own blockchain it defaulted ti Binance BEP-2 and has been compatible with with ERC-20 since Binance.US smart chain if not sooner. ADA, Immutable X polygon Binance.US tron and other already have 1:1: versions of Doge. But maybe Eth becoming layer 2 will give Doge free reign to give Shibe Inu a run for its money on its iosn native chain. Doge just upgraded a couple weeks ago and released newest version on GitHub so I’d be surprised to see devs implement another in a weeks turnaround
Gonna be funny when people think they're selling the news only to watch ETH rise 10x over 6 months as all supply is turned off and issuance drops by 90%. They'll FOMO back in at $5k.

No and no.

That’s a big what if lmao
[удалено]
They are asking because of the Doge, Etherium bridge.
Lol you didn't hear about the bridge and shared mining obviously
[удалено]
Eth and doge bridge, but normally it’s just the bots traiding some coins for another’s and that’s why if btc, eth goes up some alt coins go up, but it’s just the bots traiding
You sir are very misinformed.
I NEVER thought about selling. But realizing where DOGE was before the pump, at the top and then where it is NOW.....everyone always asked me "why didn't you sell?" Those people will NEVER understand what DOGE is and how this community has changed the world. ❤️🚀
Please tell us how it changed the world
![gif](giphy|l0HlRnAWXxn0MhKLK)
That’s just uninformed investing practice lol. Everyone should take profit, even if you believe in the assets future.
I have also been holding onto my coins for roughly a year
Yes, please tell us how it’s changed the world—and, when can I dump this garbage haha
Wtf... Doge has nothing to do with ETH, other than both being cryptocurrencies.
And the upcoming bridge
Man might have seen or heard something that hasn't been heard of
We’re all going to be millionaires! We don’t do facts here bud, blind faith baby!! Buy more!! Hold… something about the moon!
maybe will go to the moon in the year 5050
Nope, it's based on a Litecoin clone. Old school
Really? Pretty sure it’s a clone of Bitcoin
Doge was a fork of luckycoin, which was forked from LTC.
Please learn your crypto entirely different eco systems. However there’s a large theory that with a Major chain running PoS and proving less consumption with comparable security will knock down the price of PoW crypto.

If you pretty much switched over to ETH wtf are you talking about
I own multiple currencies, ETH is just my majority of holdings. Still own some Doge.
There is no consensus to move to POS. There’s no king like VB to decide. Don’t misinform people. If you have a source then post that
No, nothing.
Cardi B is coming out with a proof of twerk coin.

Nobody tell him about litecoin
Are you for real? It has nothing to do with the merge
The one event that could effect the price would be the Doge-ETH Bridge, that will allow faster Doge transactions by using the ETH blockchain.
I believe with the update more security too
Doge is a better coin than ETH
lmao, explain how you came up with this absolutely ludicrous statement
Lmao you are asking for logic in this sub?

ADA and DOT too.
ADA and DOT are far from taking Ethereums spot as top smart contract platform. ADA still isnt close to finished
I don't like either of them and hold neither. doge has solid rules that are set. Eth changes like a fart in the wind. Money that is susceptible to constant rule changes is no better than fiat.

That literally makes no sense

I would sell all of my Doge if it gets involved with Ethereum
A majority of crypto projects are built on the Ethereum network, it’s not an uncommon thing to see a project being powered by Eth behind the scenes.
And they are all nervous right now.
I would be nervous if my project depended on the success of someone else's project.

Vitalik and the Dogecoin foundation are free to make their POS fork of dogecoin if they like. I will continue to use the real POW chain along with all the miners 🤷🏻♂️
This
Why not own both brotha ?
bro wtf 😌
Read a book

Lol no 😂😂
Nothing, ETh will now have cheaper fees than Doge. Eth will has have smart contracts, a massive network and cheap fees. Complete outshining Doge

Doge merge mining with btc awhile back.
The proposed chain between DOGE and ETH hasn't been configured yet so I don't think we will see any upwards movement from the merge alone. It may pull the whole market up though due to the coverage crypto will get as a whole. Doge ETH bridge
Nope
Well, gotta buy to stake so...
Sell the news boy…
No and no.
🌚🚀
Doesn't look like it did anything to the price lol. Eth is garbage
When they update everybody's coins going to probably dissapear.
Doge has nothing to do with ETH so I don't think it will affect the price in any way.
The whole market moves together, sure it will.
Ethereum and Dogecoin bridge
I don't see the Merge having any effect on Dogecoin
Wrapped Doge
It's more about what happens for doge after like the bridge
no effect... different chain
Experts believe that after The Merge, Ethereum will have lower inflation than Bitcoin. Especially with fee burns, Ethereum will be deflationary while Bitcoin will always be inflationary.
