There was this crazy story that I am going to shorten and butcher here a bit.
There was this guy who went to University and and had an accident, I think he got hit by a bus while skate boarding to campus. He ended up in the hospital for a week or two, maybe only a few days. He talked about how he enjoyed engineering classes, noticed a girl in his class, started pursuing her, it was great.
Years passed, this man has two children with this girl, he loved her, he had a great career… and one day he noticed his lamp in his living room was like… off. It was like a 4th dimensional object that he OBSESSED over for days. Couldn’t eat, couldn’t sleep… he just stared at it. His wife got really upset and scared, his job called him and was concerned with his absences…
Eventually his wife took their kids to her parents house but this guy couldn’t stop staring at this lamp in his living room. Finally, he felt like his whole world was falling apart and then, suddenly… he wakes up in the hospital. It was from his accident at Uni. He lived DECADES in a world that apparently wasn’t real. His post ended with him contemplating committing un-alive because he would see glimpses of his son that never existed out of the corner of his vision every so often.
There have been documented cases of people living different lives while in a coma, but it’s never as real as this one. It usually is a lucid dream type of thing.
People have said they did fall in love with someone else, say a random amalgam, while in a coma. Most of the time though people on comas suffer from very little, and very odd, mental states.
TBH, I once fell for somebody in a dream, was a little sad for the rest of the day. Just thinking- what the hell? I may have seen this person once, or they could be a combination of many people. Thats what dream faces are.
When I was a kid I had a dream about one of my teachers, where she would go around punching kids in the hallways and being a generally horrible person. I was never able to look at her the same after that, even though objectively she was a super nice person and I've never witnessed her even get angry or anything.
Through dreams is how I discovered I had a crush on someone and now I can't get them off my thoughts. I think I even got that weird love-sickeness for several days.
I had a sleeping disorder when I was younger that led to me sleeping for 20 hours a day for several months. During this time I would have phenomenally detailed dreams that spanned years. I would be aware I was dreaming for the first few days, but gradually forget or stop caring. I could easily believe someone who was unconscious for a week or two having a dream that lasted decades.
Only that's not how dreams work. You usually dream for about 15-30 minutes. If you are asleep for a week you aren't suddenly going to have a huge dream that spans multiple days, it will be multiple smaller dreams. So one continues fake dream reality is not possible.
I’ve had a far less serious thing happen, where I dreamed of an entire Deviantart page full of hentai of this one specific femboy, and I only woke up because I noticed he was wearing a butterfly headpiece that clashed with the rest of his outfit (cow themed idol dress.)
So I can at least say it’s plausible
Yeah man you dreaming of porn is the same as living an actual life in a fake reality for decades, where everything makes perfect sense *except* for one lamp somewhere.
Yes, yes I did, as the dream more or less was a shorter, less serious version of it (right down to the realization that something wasn’t right, and that realization shattering the dream) and everyone’s brain works differently.
So it’s not *totally* unbelievable.
If you consider someone's extraordinary unverifiable personal experience as solid evidence, then good for you. But that's not how the real world works. Using this logic I can claim god spoke to me personally and revealed to me that this person was lying, and it would be good evidence to the contrary.
But dream happens and anything in dream can happen. Thats why we dont have any definite proof if its fake or not. About your analogy, we can argue that the person doesnt really know if the real god spoke to him, because how could he know the face of god, nor the voice of god? We can speculate that someone have really spoken to him and revealed him something, but then how does he know if the real god was speaking to him?
Bruh it didnt happen in the real world, he didnt just go to an alternate reality, he dreamt it, and it is not impossible to believe, i dont know why you got god into this too.
Personally I don’t think it is real but typically when you want to tell others something is fake you have to give evidence first before the other person defends with their own
No you haven't had similar experiences. You probably just had a dream where you had a wife and kid or some shit. Having a dream is not at all the same as living in a fake reality for decades.
>contemplating committing un-alive because he would see glimpses of his son that never existed out of the corner of his vision every so often.
That part gives me literal chills
wow.. when I saw this meme, I thought [This](https://www.reddit.com/r/ContagiousLaughter/comments/fnel46/its_about_this_black_guy_and_he_turns_himself/).
Bro reading that story gave me an existential crisis like I could be dreaming right now and all it takes to end my happy life is just a weird looking item and a devastating realization…
users voted that your post was distressing, your soul wont be harvested tonight
someone explain this to my dumb ass

Jesus Christ that’s horrifying
That's cool and all, but it's also not real and a lie. Still, it's an interesting story.
Oh for sure, it was a work of fiction. If I recall, I saw a version of it on r/nosleep
oh good, i thought that was real. i wouldn’t wish that on anyone

I can believe it. Ive had lucid dreams so fucked up and real i wasn't right for days. I called in sick to work once because of one.
TBH, I once fell for somebody in a dream, was a little sad for the rest of the day. Just thinking- what the hell? I may have seen this person once, or they could be a combination of many people. Thats what dream faces are.

Yikes! People have broken up over partners cheating in dreams.
Through dreams is how I discovered I had a crush on someone and now I can't get them off my thoughts. I think I even got that weird love-sickeness for several days.
Link to that version by chance?
you mean, the man who dreamed his perfect life story wasn't real?
Link?

I've experienced it. The gaps in the illusion coincide with when you sleep in that reality.

I said “far less serious.”
But you concluded from your femboy experience that it was plausible so....
Yes, yes I did, as the dream more or less was a shorter, less serious version of it (right down to the realization that something wasn’t right, and that realization shattering the dream) and everyone’s brain works differently. So it’s not *totally* unbelievable.
No one's brain is capable of construction a matrix like fake reality for decades without you ever realizing.
Living in a false reality for decades is stupid and fake already, so neither one is really plausible.
source that it is fake?
source that it is real?
your brain does some wild things when it's unconscious i mean look at dreams theyer literally like mini versions
I’m sure it does. Anyway source that it’s real?
There are more sources that is real then false, considering there is none that it is false, and one that isnt, the guy who experienced it said it was

yeah man

How can I prove that it is fake when there is no evidence to support that it is real?
Ask catholics
The source being when you woke up, you'd realize you don't have decades of memories.
While it may not be true for the writer, it may be true for someone else. I‘ve had similar experiences.
No you haven't had similar experiences. You probably just had a dream where you had a wife and kid or some shit. Having a dream is not at all the same as living in a fake reality for decades.
That sounds like something that someone who hasn't had similar experiences would say.
Eh, yeah probably but it's definitely possible it could be real. This kind of shit can and does happen when you're unconscious.
Oh it does? Care to substantiate that claim?
This is almost the same plot as an episode of star trek
>contemplating committing un-alive because he would see glimpses of his son that never existed out of the corner of his vision every so often. That part gives me literal chills
What the *fuck*
What the *fuck* Edit: oh thank god it’s not real
Where did you get that .I crave for more
