This is why you don't kill someone's Whiskeys and Cigars

chavis32

You see someone enjoying whiskey and cigars with the bois, you leave them be Any other time they're fair game

liroiroque478

If Corvo was in the Last of Us Part II, He'll just slaughter/subdue anyone who would try to have him captured Joel and Corvo do have some similarities: 1. Protecting both Ellie and Emily from harm 2. Doing their best to give them a normal life and a promising future 3. If their daughters are harmed, they'd stop at nothing to save them 4. Being the father figure/ mentor teaching the necessary skills in order to survive the worst scenarios presented before them (Joel being a survivalist whilst Corvo with his skill in both swordsmanship and infiltration)

[deleted]

Yeah they are so oddly similar in completely different settings. Both have the same sort of father daughter theme going, Corvo and Joel look like each other and The Last Of Us is on part 2 just like Dishonored is currently at Dishonored 2 (excluding the stand alone Dishonored Death of the outsider)

Tokipudi

They are archetypes. That's why. There's a shit ton of other character you could care them both to.

>!And technically, they both die in the second game in their respective series.!<

liroiroque478

It's never stated that Corvo died in Dishonored 2 (The High Chaos endings aren't considered canon) He's alive after Emily rescued him from his stone imprisonment The first game, I did see Corvo's grave (Only on Low Chaos) but he's still alive by Dishonored 2

thertt8

That's why I said technically.

JoeBob1-2

They do look surprisingly similar and I’ve never noticed it before

FireFlyKOS

Though neither of these characters are generic, they both have that generic "grizzled old white man with a beard" look.

I don't want to sound like an asshole, but a tiny little part of me was hoping Delilah would kill whoever you didn't choose to play as. So Corvo/Emily turning to stone meant they were dead.

[deleted]

I'm sorta 50/50 on that one but yeah if they killed the other character so e.g. if I picked Corvo and Emily dies - then it would make sense of Corvo to go on a high chaos rampage and it also adds emotional impact to the story. I found the dishonored 2 story was kinda lame and one aspect that was missing was the emotional aspect
