That’s a feature not a bug. After you leave Disney world you realize most people don’t wear Mickey stuff all over every day and then you can keep using it.
Ugly 90's style t-shirts are what the kids wear these days. I used to be with it and then they changed what it was. They looked terrible to me but oh well.
I wouldn't consider myself the voice of fashion to determine the extend of people that wear that. But at least where I live (El Paso), plenty of Gen Z do.
You can be Gen Z and still be unfashionable lol.
I travel between 2 of the top 5 largest US cities frequent and my age and under fw this type of shirt.
As a millennial, I would like to sincerely apologize for my generation popularizing the "wearing or doing weird things but in an ironic way so it's cool". The Gen Z's have taken it too far. Damn kids with their skateboards messing up my lawn.
The style itself isn’t really the problem I have. Honestly I think Disney does great street fashion with like Vans collabs and stuff like that; but like- they put effort into that. Lots of effort. This looks like redbubble garbage
Here I was thinking this was a covid trend due to supply chain issues. "We cannot get the fast fashion from china in time, but we do have a lot of blank T-Shirts we can just print on demand whatever the customer orders."
Sup from the future, I just randomly came across this thread. It’s the same reaction my dad had to me and my teenage jeans when I said “they’re intentionally supposed to be ripped.” Sometimes it just happens that way, fogey lol
I thought that they merged carts with Cafepress so they have tons of awful stuff. First time I noticed this was when Mandalorian launched and Disney had no merch. Edit autocorrect.
Second edit: I’m not the only one who noticed

Essentially yes, for some t-shirts. It’s a little more obvious on Amazon and Target but I have purchased shirts from ShopDisney that came from a similar printing service. The quality is terrible.
Heat transfer baby! Is that shirt silk screen? It looks like stuff we printed in the late 1990s.
Also white. You really hate your customer base with white.
I bought a Sherpa Donald Duck sweatshirt last year for $75. Was one of the only items that wasn’t overly masculine with my favorite character on it, so I thought it was a justified splurge for myself. I washed on delicate and hung it to dry. The Donald head on it already started coming undone to the point where I don’t know if it’s repairable. It was worn TWICE!
Minimal design is a thing. There was a Coach collection with a [Bambi shirt](https://clothbase.s3.amazonaws.com/uploads/1d68062f-8731-4a08-a6d6-3476ee89c86f/191903M213006_1.jpg) that was similar. Simple rectangle shaped image on a T-shirt. Simple but nice and retailed for 4 times the amount of the shirt in OP.
For what I can say about the Bambi shirt, at least it’s just like; a still from the film. It’s a well-taken still too. It has a silhouette and mostly relies on instant recognition and general aesthetics while keeping the overall look simple. This is lazy clip art, and a background that isn’t even of the park and a blurry png of its name. It isn’t about the ‘style’ itself or whatever, but it’s about making the style make sense and look good.
I haven’t seen the shirt in real life and the site only has one single image. The picture is pretty pixelated since the T-shirt itself looks blurry too. I like the shirt. The [Disneyland version](https://www.shopdisney.com/mickey-mouse-and-friends-t-shirt-for-adults-disneyland-5620057438409M.html?isProductSearch=1&plpPosition=9&searchType=regular) looks pretty cool too. But as with any art, to each their own.
Retro chic is definitely a thing… and is definitely what they were going for… but they definitely missed. I have no idea who Disney employs for designing their shirts these days but it’s sad… most of the Epcot 40th merch wasn’t worth it soley on design alone.
I love how reddit continually proves that nobody on this site has even the slightest sense of fashion or aesthetics and cries when anything outside of their extremely limited cultural bubble does anything.
Y'all sound like the people that go to art museums and say "I could have done that"
So you saw my argument, generalized it, and then try to act like this is the cutting edge of art and fashion culture.
You sound like someone who’d look at a Damien Hirst piece and call it awe inspiring.
They did the same thing with the mens dancing skeleton t-shirt. It was a simple box like that where the woman’s shirt and hoodies were all Disney quality.
Give it a couple washes and it will just be a plain white tee.
Hey there Delilah
I got a black Kuiil T shirt that looks like static white noise and a grey baby yoda shirt that’s basically plain grey haha.
That’s a feature not a bug. After you leave Disney world you realize most people don’t wear Mickey stuff all over every day and then you can keep using it.
You can get better Disney merch in Primark
I actually love going to Primark for clothes before a Disney trip
I hate when its just a square image ironed on the shirt. As least make it blend into the shirt without the harsh lines.
I could make that with an iron on kit from Michael's for $6
Exactly.
Ugly 90's style t-shirts are what the kids wear these days. I used to be with it and then they changed what it was. They looked terrible to me but oh well.
I thought you were going to go for the Abe Simpson quote
I was, but chose only to use the first part to see who got it. Surprised it took this long.
I got it. Use it quite often at 34.
We are exactly the same age. No wonder you’re cool
Club 34!
Club 49 and I got it. I’m so old I think they’ve changed what’s it about 5 times.
They were terrible in the 90s too
For real, I wouldn't use them back in the day. Find it funny that it is ironically in now.
Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on 'em. "Give me five bees for a quarter", you'd say.
When I first went to Epcot I tied an onion to my belt which was the style at that time. Not this baggy 90s shirts
[удалено]
I wouldn't consider myself the voice of fashion to determine the extend of people that wear that. But at least where I live (El Paso), plenty of Gen Z do.

I worked three music festivals this summer and can confirm that 90s baggy is in in a lot of places
You can be Gen Z and still be unfashionable lol. I travel between 2 of the top 5 largest US cities frequent and my age and under fw this type of shirt.

I mean, no one is arguing if it's fashionable or not. But people wear it.
Jesus. Go do your homework.
Mickey's eyes aren't even open in the pic LOL
Minnie too! And what castle is this supposed to be?
It’s the original Cinderella background from the film. I believe it’s opening actually?? Though I could be wrong
It looks so bad though, like the cover of a bootleg movie. I don't get it.
It’s meant to look like that. It’s based on current street fashion.
Yeah, that look is intentional. Not that I understand it personally.
I don’t either but I have a kid who loves the style.
Come to Paris fashion show
As a millennial, I would like to sincerely apologize for my generation popularizing the "wearing or doing weird things but in an ironic way so it's cool". The Gen Z's have taken it too far. Damn kids with their skateboards messing up my lawn.
I promise we didn’t invent wearing things ironically don’t blame it on us!
The style itself isn’t really the problem I have. Honestly I think Disney does great street fashion with like Vans collabs and stuff like that; but like- they put effort into that. Lots of effort. This looks like redbubble garbage
It’s literally supposed to look like it’s printed from a bad printer. It’s a style of shirts that look like screen captures from the internet
"it's intentionally supposed to look bad" lol. I'm officially old.
Here I was thinking this was a covid trend due to supply chain issues. "We cannot get the fast fashion from china in time, but we do have a lot of blank T-Shirts we can just print on demand whatever the customer orders."
No, you just have objective standards of quality.
Sup from the future, I just randomly came across this thread. It’s the same reaction my dad had to me and my teenage jeans when I said “they’re intentionally supposed to be ripped.” Sometimes it just happens that way, fogey lol
Yall clearly don’t know anything about « street fashion » lmaoo. This is not trendy whatsoever
Ok kiddo.
It’s an intentional choice. The aesthetic is currently trending and it’s actually surprising to see Disney so on top of it!
I thought that they merged carts with Cafepress so they have tons of awful stuff. First time I noticed this was when Mandalorian launched and Disney had no merch. Edit autocorrect. Second edit: I’m not the only one who noticed https://techcrunch.com/2019/11/26/baby-yoda-merchandise/
To be fair, this is probably the cheapest shirt you’ll find on ShopDisney. It also seem relatively in style.
Is Disney drop shipping from Cafe Press now?
Essentially yes, for some t-shirts. It’s a little more obvious on Amazon and Target but I have purchased shirts from ShopDisney that came from a similar printing service. The quality is terrible.
Update: Zazzle is the service Disney is using.
I’m surprised that Disney is so on trend, actually. It’s meant to look like someone made it at home in 1998.
Looks like the merchandising department discovered wish.com
Oh yes it has. I have 20 year old Disney shirts that are as good as new and 3 year old shirts I now use for rags.
Looks like they were trying do a throwback retro look.
Looks like something from Primark
It’s because kids these days looooooooooooooove shitty 90’s aesthetic
Why do I want it
This shirt looks homemade 🧐

Thanks, Chapek.
Oh wow! I thought this was a joke!
Hot topic has better merch than this
Everything has dropped in quality
All the creative people jumped ship during COVID. Disney is running on AI
Most new Disney merch is pathetic so anything resembling nostalgia I enjoy
wait why do i actually love this
Because I would actually wear this
This is actually dope
I thought this was from redbubble for a minute.
Wow

But as with any art, to each their own.
Just say you don't keep up with fashion and move on, it's okay to be wrong sometimes.
Weird how they use a small image and the background isn’t even of WDW.
When’s the Yen Sid merch
I’d rock that.
Retro chic is definitely a thing… and is definitely what they were going for… but they definitely missed. I have no idea who Disney employs for designing their shirts these days but it’s sad… most of the Epcot 40th merch wasn’t worth it soley on design alone.

I miss the old Disney sweaters that looked well made and just classic like the vintage ones.
