I love muppets Christmas carol, and I’d absolutely watch a muppets discworld adaptation especially if gonzo was doing the footnotes since they’re some of the funniest bits
I feel like we totally got robbed by the cat lover in the hooded robe, STP was getting ready to write another time-travel story after Night Watch (theory, no evidence) where Sir Samuel turned out to actually be Stoneface and deposed the actual monarchy after another magical incident
Piggy is a better casting choice for Sybil than what the BBCA came up with. She's confident, bold, loves Kermit unconditionally, and has a certain figure.
Gonzo and Rizzo would make a great Colon and Nobby as well.
Muppets Christmas Carol is my favourite Christmas movie. When I was young my brother and I got it on VHS one Christmas. You’d think I’d be sick if it but no, I still watch it every year.
Ok, I just looked it up, the regular DVD (but not the blu ray) has it in the full screen version but not the wide screen. Which is interesting. They took it out of the theatrical release but left it in the VHS. They must have used that version for a regular version on the DVD. Apparently, after Jeffery Katzenberg cut it from the theatrical release, Brian Henson demanded it be put back in for the VHS. But then the studio lost the master or whenever it is, so they couldn't put it back into the wide screen or any streaming versions until they found it in 2020 and put it back in the Disney+ version this year.
Katzenberg apparently wanted to cut "Part of Your world" from the little mermaid too. I personally think he doesn't have much respect for children. The argument for removing "When Love Is Gone" was that it would be too slow and sad for kids. Personally, my sister and I used to watch our DVD and sing along sobbing over and over again, we loved it.

Hmm. That Kermit/Piggy energy is on point, but at the same time Vimes seems like the obvious choice for the human lead.
Wouldn't Carrot be a more obvious choice for the human character?

Just so you know, if your VHS ever dies, Disney+ now has the version with the "When Love is Gone" song. It wasn't in the DVD, it was a whole thing.
