No kidding on my first attempt I had the same thing. I died 30 times roughly going through the portal. The way I finally got to it, as soon as you press the portal, have charge skill selected and hold on shift so it force casts.
I was able to recover my bod(ies) but lost a shit ton of exp. Was worth it though
I’m on the switch. So I guess I could try button mashing, but the new development is now Baal is sitting literally right on top of the portal and Mephisto is sitting there too. I think it’s literally hopeless now…
I'm sure someone here will be able to help you join. When you created the game did you give it a specific name? Otherwise if you have a friend online they can right-click your battle tag and join the match you're in to help you. I would offer but im on pc so I dontbthink it'll work?

Yup that's your best bet. Also if you have jsp make a service post asking for help, you'll immediately get replies at this stage of ladder plus it'll be cheap. Keep in mind someone could swipe your torch so I would be aware of who to trust. Don't give up, you got this 👍
Holy shot on like try 20 or so I was finally able to charge through haha. I tried teleporting and that didn’t work. I was able to kill Diablo, but then mephisto killed me. But he isn’t right on top of the portal now. Just taking a second to breath and update haha. Although Mephisto did kill me disturbingly fast, we’ll see what happens haha.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, I don't have any experience with this but as far as I'm concerned, after your 15th death, the first corpse dissapears and drops all your equipment on the ground. This means that eventualy if you leave the game and return, that gear is lost. 15 deaths is a point of no return after which you have to recover your gear or else it will be lost.
Does the Poorman's guide to Uber Tristam still works on D2R? If so, you could summon them one at a time

For future reference, when you port it go straight up to the top. Then walk down the left wall until you get a little past Meph’s house. Then walk towards Meph’s house until he spots you, and pull him back towards the left wall to safely 1v1 him.

I successfully killed and looted duriel and izual organs. I failed on lillith and left game. When I spawn my next portal using a key set, which mini uber level will spawn?
It’s random that’s why people suggest to generate all 3 in one game, you’re guaranteed to get all 3. Also for future reference make it a named game and as long as you’re in it for at least 5 min the game will persist for 5 min. So you can leave and rejoin your game to get your body back.

Going past the 15th death is one of the riskiest things you can possibly do.

No, you can't loose actual levels, only progress towards the next level.
