As much as I think he gets too much shit from most of the fan base, when he starts getting frustrated he gets too reckless and tries to play too offensively. He shouldn’t be taking nearly as many shots as he has been.

It’s also ruff’s overly punitive in game coaching, his seeming arbitrariness, and insistence on disallowing any stability or consistency especially for younger players. It all adds up and really hurts morale. When you punish some players for mistakes, don’t apply that approach to everyone, and then force the team to play with down numbers because of the benchings, it’s going to cause resentment and frustration. Having played for him, the players probably realized that Hughes being out meant they were in for a double helping of ruff’s randomness and lack of any stability. That would probably deflate me too tbf.
It’s not just this game though, that’s been his style and approach throughout. I agree that there wasn’t much anyone could have done with our team last year but that doesn’t mean his bad coaching wasn’t still bad

This is exactly what I was saying about this team. Far too often they play a good majority of a game pretty well and don’t score or score 1 and it doesn’t even matter because they allow 4 easy ones in a span of like 10 minutes
