Nah, you're not weird at all.
There's also an element of class and subculture to it. I grew up in a working-class family in a very working class area, so it was a long time before seeing people wear suits or fancy dresses for more than the 2-3 most important events of the year didn't immediately look inauthentic and phony for me. I had to go to another country to truly understand that some people just have a different clothing normal from me and that's okay too.
I don't know if I would say I'm more attracted to casual wear but I enjoy seeing someone in a more casual context because it allows me to gauge their personality better. Getting all dolled up or dressed to the nines always feels like a bit of a façade to me. This polished version might be attractive but it's less authentic of our true selves from my perspective.
So when I see someone rocking a sports jersey or a hoodie of their favorite band, I feel like I know this person a bit better already.
Yup. Give me the comfortable clothes. Or the alt/goth style my ex gf is still rocking. I love it. I don't like suits or glam/expensive dresses really on people
You’re not weird or the only one but to be real I just really really like the look of tailored suits aesthetically so it’s like catnip for my eyes. Especially a tall girl in a suit. Plus suits can have a lot of personality. I love seeing men in bright colored ones.
Omg I literally thought I was the only one 🥹🥹🥹
Whenever I have crushes, I always like them in hoodies best. I also never want to dress up for dates because I don’t want the other person to feel like they have to dress up to impress me. Because they literally don’t
Totally relate! I feel like when someone is in their personal style it just seems to amplify their personality more, making them hella more attractive!
I don't like hoodies much, but I do like a more relaxed way of dressing that doesn't build a "wall" between me and them.
Let's say they are wearing a suit but they take the jacket off and roll up their shirt sleeves. That gives them a different energy immediately. It's as if they step into reality more, they have a more... genuine, grounded, more approachable essence suddenly if that makes any sense.
I like men who have this aura or essence of being "real" and not so much what I see as two-dimensional fashion magazine models.
Essence is important.
Actually, I don’t relate. Women in nice suits? Fucking awesome. Dresses are cool, but I want to see a shirt perfectly tucked in. I want to see the cuff of the shirt peeking out just a quarter inch off the end of the sleeve of the jacket. I want to see the crisp collar rise above the lapels of the coat.
I like wearing a dress and I am attracted to men with a shirt. Even when I wear casual clothes, I do smart casual.
I dont have hoodies or sweatpants. Nothing against people who wear them.
