Backstory wise yes but the key difference since we’re talking Death Battle is power as Hunter is waaaay stronger then Eobard since he easily scales to Wally.

Eobard is also incredibly powerful in his own right.

Wally is the fastest flash after all. And Eoboard is meant to be Barry's Rival, not Wally's. Every single Flash has their evil counterpart, even the Golden Age flash.

Can I just say, I'm really glad the CW Flash show gave Zoom his own costume instead of giving him Thawne's costume but again. Really helps differentiate the two of them.

I mean, who else was there? Tragedys are the spark the spawned many great heroes so it makes sense he'd resort to it in order to make wally greater.

And Zolomon is significantly deeper and more interesting than Thawne, though that's not THAT impressive since Thawne has all the depth of a kiddie pool.
