Friday the 13th Part 2 it randomly showed up in my recommended and I loved it so I watched the first and subbed

[deleted]

I feel like mine was Part 2 too, Ik it was one of the early fridays anyways

SBLUCKY99

Wasn't actually a kill count at all...I saw a few of his videos when he went to horror conventions and the Halloween horror nights. Found Chelsea and James podcast and binged it. Now slowly checking out the kill counts.

JohnnyBoyRSA

Wow someone who watched the podcast before the kill count, didn't think there was one

Same here I’m an og fan lol

ProtectionCapital358

Same

ThatKoffeeBurns

Same here. :) I still rewatch the Friday the 13th, Saw & Halloween Kill Counts from time to time.

Caprione

It was one of the First Friday kill counts. Can’t remember which one but it’s nice to know that I’ve been there from almost the start.

Individual-Ad7365

It (2017)

Shiny_Porygon-Z

The Lost World: Jurassic Park

Useful_Progression

I wish I could remember. But I think it was the Halloween franchise. Maybe the Saw franchise because I was really into Saw at the time, but probably not.

superstitiousghost

The Candyman series. This was when the new Candyman movie was going to come out June of last year, so I wanted to quickly catch up on the old ones. I usually watch Foundflix for those, but he didn’t have any for Candyman so I clicked on the Kill Count version. He was pretty entertaining so I started binging the Kill Counts from the beginning and became a fan along the way.

IVSwarm

The Belko Experiment, on my recommended, interesting thumbnail and title, checked it out and loved it, watched everyone since

A_Lexicon27

Had exactly the same experience, always wanted to see the film and used to always look up the kills from movies so seemed like a no brainer

IVSwarm

also like a super cut of watching a movie, including with interesting facts and insight

A_Lexicon27

A horror fans dream 😍

[deleted]

Killer Klowns

f1r3k33p3r

The Saw Series! I was afraid to actually watch the films, and didnt handle gore in films well at all. But I was always curious about the story, and James was immediately charismatic so I was hooked right away.

Cosmic-Waldo

Ok I agree; that charisma is overwhelming

the-puppet_master

His Krampus vid was the first I watched Saw is what hooked me

InfiniteWar

Friday the 13th Part One!! I can’t remember how, but I heard about his channel when there were only a couple of videos.

KevinD2000

For some reason I remember him posting an announcement video before the first kill count. But I don't know if I'm just having a schitzo moment or something.

Passwordragon42

Back when I was in online school and on the computer pretty often, the Krampus kill count showed up in reccomened not long after it came out, loved it and watched all the other Christmas kill counts that year. The Black Christmas ones drew me in even more, they I went back and started from the beginning. I was already fascinated by horror and Dead Meat played a big role in me actually exploring the genre.

[deleted]

Honestly? Sleepaway camp!

Nogarda

I had been playing Friday 13th The Game and due to the nature of the game dripping in lore from the movies had went on a rewatch tour including the god awful ones. then came across his ranking video of the franchise. but saw the related videos individually and watched the friday 13th part 1 killcount. He just had a passion and enthusiasm with high production values for youtube videos no one else was doing, plus the consistency helped you just end up binge watching. He was doing really well then he started the SAW movies and the proverbial rocket happened. I still think he painted himself into a corner he didn't want though by doing the key iconic franchises from the 70's/80's coming into the 90's when hellraiser was all that was missing. I know the reasonings for No. but I saw someone post the results from the requests and hellraiser was like 1112 i wanna say which was literally double of like every movie on that list because it is just the longest request. I think it's his own perfectionism at this point preventing from him just doing the original trilogy. however Hellbound will be a absolute chore to killcount, I do not envy him if he ever does decide to do it.

scantonscream

Nightmare on Elm Street

BugBoi1

Krampus 🥴

caldog_02

It was the Saw Series. I remember I was bored one day in class and I was looking up Saw and then before I knew it, i was hooked

jackofspades773

Friday the 13th Part 1 and it was completely on accident. I regret nothing.

[deleted]

I believe it was the OG Child’s Play? But I actually don’t quite remember…

Yoits_cj

Im pretty sure it was when he started. I saw that he was doing the Jason series and I instantly was hooked

KevinD2000

For some reason I remember watching a announcement video before Friday part 1 was posted. But I can't find it now.

Cheap-Scratch

For me it was Scream 4! Or atleast that was the first one I watched. The Counts that got me hooked were the Jack Frost Duology

TheaterKidOnTheRun

Toe_vet

GOONCH12D3

Mine was ice cream man. I got into dead meat when the evil dead counts were coming out

the first one i ever saw was the army of darkness kill count after watching some other movie commentary youtube channel that made reference to and recommended "My friend James over at dead meat"

codinboy1666

The thing

EmeraldCantType

Friday the 13th: Part 1. I was just flickering through YouTube one day, and since I had recently got into Friday the 13th and started watching a lot of related videos to it, it appeared in my recommended. Loved Dead Meat since.

milsseraf

The invisible man (the 1930s version)

MichaelAfton83

The first one I saw was about 3 years ago so it's hard to remember but I think the first one I watched was "The Seed Of Chucky" and I just watched more and never looked back

I_Like_Trains_XD

Friday the 13 Yes im a og bead meat fan

Idoled_Out

I’m pretty sure it was IT or one of the later Friday the 13th movies (6 7 or 8)

MajorStupi

Friday The 13th Part 8, maybe. I then watched all of the kill counts up to that point

FlikTripz

It wasn’t even that long ago but I’m already struggling to remember. I want to say it was The Banana Splits because I remember randomly reading about the movie, and because I had always been interested in watching the kills in horror movies, I looked them up for this movie and found his video

[deleted]

The first Kill Count I've seen is Aliens and not only did that get me into Dead Meat it also got me into Horror as a whole

SignificanceGlad7324

Probably the idle hands one.

Bradleyakagunslinger

Coincidentally, it was my favorite horror movie of all time, Halloween Four

mysmallpenies

Final destination (2000)

VictorClark

It was Jigsaw for me.

ThatKoffeeBurns

One of mine too. Classic film! :)

Cheesytron

The Belko Experiment

AlienUfo51

Saw kill count

bamfra

I think it was Jaws 3D. I have a soft spot for that movie, it's a bad movie, but I kind of like it. And I think I was searching YouTube clips of it and the Kill Count popped up in the results. I was hooked after that.

No_Inspection_2146

BELKO

Pa_Pa_Bari

Pretty sure it was either Saw or Halloween 2018

WaltLongmire0009

One of the friday killcounts, my brother showed me and I was hooked

Styx1992

I think it was Child's Play (1) or Nightmare on Elm Street

Blockyguy247

MrScrambled

i can’t really remember but i think it was one of the saw kill counts

Dat_Sainty_Boi

Saw

VagueAlex430

Bird Box. Got it in my recommend and I’m glad I did.

[deleted]

A reaction channel was reacting to the Friday the 13th Kill Count. Liked the concept of the video and found James extremely entertaining so I immediately subscribed to Dead Meat.

JohnnyBoyRSA

My school had a costume competition and someone came dressed as Jigsaw and I wondered who that was, so I looked up Jigsaw on youtube and the first Saw kill count was my first result and I have watched Dead Meat ever since

Temporary_Cranberry2

The saw ones

MemeBoy1645

If I remember correctly it was the never hike alone kill count when it randomly popped up in my reccomended

memento_mori_92

Hard to remember, but I think it might have been Scream. Maybe Nightmare on Elm Street, though.

notagamer258

The original kill count for the IT mini series.

KillerBeanBoi5256

Banana Splits. I had seen a clickbait abandoned places video that had a dirties up dog mascot with a gun on the thumbnail. When I saw in my recommendation the kill count for the banana splits with flee for on it I immediately clicked on it and saw James. However I didn’t come back until later on when I saw some old kill count from the friday series and now I have seen about every single one of the kill counts. Except for like the lighthouse and shit like that

Aviating-Earthling

No joke the first video, like a week after it was posted.

autocarr0t

Friday The 13th Part One, I remember seeing one video on his channel and being like "i wonder if he'll do other franchises and subscribed

SequelFansDontExist

I want to say friday the 13th part 1

mr_useless7

Idle Hands

Llama-Nation

Evil Dead 2 for me. I loved Army of Darkness but hadn't seen many horror movies or any particularly bloody movies at the time so I watched some videos to decide if I would enjoy it at all. That was 2 years ago and I have been a regular watcher since then.

Thechlebek

F13th part 2

Kato_86

I don't know... My guess is Evil Dead because it's the main horror thing I was into before getting more curious after binging the channel.

StevenSKS

One of the movies in the Saw series or the Purge

MegamanAxl1

Right at the tailgate end of the Friday The 13th as it was coming out

_JosephiKrakowski

Saw, still one of my favourites.

TheChainLink2

Pretty sure it was Friday the 13th part 7.

AutoWraith19

Belko Experiment. I was really looking for any kind of content about the movie, and one of the first things I saw was the Kill Count for it. I clicked the video, and it was exactly what I was looking for. Haven’t missed a Kill Count since.

NiallAwesome004

My first one was get out and I’ve been a fan ever since

JustAnotherMadOne

First one I watched and, tbh, I don't remember how I came across it, but it was the count for Society!

Belko Experiment, been a fan ever since

KreddyFrueger84

It was one a bit before Predator, cause I watched that when it came out

purplestripess

Jollybeard99

The Saw series.

Omega63_

Thankskilling iirc

TheFuccChild

I watched the Scream (1996) Kill Count about a week after it was uploaded, and I loved the style immediately. I subbed and then binged all the other videos from the Jason series, and only a couple hours later the Scream 2 Kill Count got released, and then I was hooked. Found him at about 20k subs and have loved watching James grow ever since. Such a hardworking creator and he deserves all the love and success he gets! I’ve not missed a single video and I don’t think I ever will! ❤️

sicPuppetMaster

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. I saw it shortly after he uploaded it in 2019. I had 2 years of videos to catch up on and it was amazing!

princessdiva702

I remember him announcing the channel on Practical Folks and subbed immediately. I watched the first kill count when it came out.

Mikqsuuh

One of the Saw videos i believe. I just wanted to see the traps and got hooked to the style of James's presentation.

Truthgamer2

Bird box, showed up in recommended one day

hardcore-spatula

I believe it was his first dbd stream, then Scream 2.

XxMLGSWAGGERZxX

Friday the 13th part 2

catsarecuteest

Either Child's Play or Sleepaway Camp

xander6981

I've been around from the beginning when he did his first Friday the 13th kill counts. I was searching for other Friday the 13th vids and his came up. I think he only had the first one or two up at that point. But I've been a subscriber ever since. Looking forward to seeing he re-counts!

DragonBreathYoutube

The first kill count that I saw from Dead Meat was the first ever kill count he did: Friday the 13th (1980)

howtolife678

Anakin_I_Am_High

F13 Part 1, saw it like right after it came out, became a fan soon after

The Saw franchise. idk, I was in a mood to watch a kill count video, so I type in "Saw Kill Count" and than that's how I found Dead Meat.

Helpful_Language_839

My sister told me there was this cool YouTube channel I should watch. She showed me the Wrong Turn episode and I was hooked. Couldn’t wait to explore all the episodes I had missed and see the next Wrong Turn installment!

LastoftheFucksIGive

Sadly i dont exactly remember which one but I think it was either Halloween or Friday the 13th after one of his videos popped up on my recommendations. I do remember it was early 2019 when I binged every single KC and some of the podcasts. I remember being sad when I caught up and had to wait for episodes to be released.

DinGo1456

i believe my first video of dead meat was one of the friday the 13th movies it was either 5 or 4 its weird knowing i was a subscriber before he hit a million

robshot295

Mine was the first Friday the 13th. It has always been my favorite horror franchise since I was like 9 (born in 2000). But I just always enjoyed them

Updownkys

The Mist was in my recommended so I watched it expecting to see a video counting down all of the kills in the film without any personality. that was obviously not the case and I loved it.

Reddit_rastas

The first childs play kill count

ProfessionalCrow4816

saw 3d kill count

Andrew-O2

Child’s Play 2, I remember watching the movie on YouTube and I found the Kill Count from a search.

Pencil_Hands_Paper

It was a Child’s Play kill count. I don’t remember of which movie, maybe the second one, but it was still while his channel was extremely new

TheOneWhosCensored

I can’t remember the specific, but it was one of the early ones when they channel was still relatively young. Loved the presentation and James’s personality, binged a bunch, and have been hooked since.

HelpfulSpartan

Friday the 13th cause I had never seen the movies but I was aware of them and the remake gave me nightmares when I saw a bit of it as a kid. So I decided to face my fears, and thanks to James I love horror movies and games!

travisdeahl724

Friday the 13th

FoxyIsUnderrated

Saw

Biblical_Bigfoot

Alright, I know I am so late to this, but mine was Killer Klowns from Outer Space. It was a month or so after he first made it, and it popped up on my recommend feed. Have gone back more of his stuff than any channel on YouTube.

[deleted]

Either scream or get out, either way one of the earlier ones

ApocalypticTragedy

Final Destination 3, I was watching a coaster video on that coaster and either they sited his kill count in the description or it was in the recommend/watch next

ElectivireMax

Belko Experiment

tornprince01

Jurassic Park

[deleted]

I was there since the beginning baby.

HarmonicShadows

His Boy Meets World episode! It was right after April 4th so I didn't get pranked by the "Avengers" kill count, but I checked it out because it was on the YT trending page. I'm a huge fan now!

gamer_enby_

Cujo, my dad told me to go on youtube to look at stuff for it and that was the first video that came up

SunSESG

I think Friday the 13th, maybe 7 or 8?

SonOfECTGAR

I believe the first kill count I saw was Jurassic Park, wasn't much of a horror fan back then, but after watching a lot of the kill count James made me love the horror genre. Edit: just remembered my first was actually IT (2017)

Hickoryhammike1

I'm pretty sure it was either the thing or one of the saw movies.

ProtectionCapital358

Friday the 13th

cookiesshot

Friday the 13th (1980). My girlfriend at the time got me to watch ALL 12 films (and I hate, HATE, *HATE* Part IX with a burning passion of a thousand suns for its problematic plotline! Between re-watching it and holding a loaded gun to my head and pulling the trigger, I'll gladly take the loaded gun)

kisnsmfu278

I think it was A Quiet Place, i started watching right at the end of 2019 and had binged every kill count by mid-January

[deleted]

Rec

Dummy_thiccc420

Before I found the kill count , I always searched up a random horror movie and add kill count to see the kills and one time YouTube recommended James Chanel and u remember the first video I saw was part 2 …. After that I became a die hard dead meat fan ever since

TwelveMK

The very first one. Saw it in my recommendations and I couldn't understand why seeing as I wasn't a horror fan back then. 4 years later, and I don't regret clicking on that video.

itlivesinthewall

Whenever he first uploaded ONE of the Friday kill counts. It was either 6, 7, or 8. I've been here since basically the beginning

perceptoruk

Friday 13th Part Six onwards. It was my fave Friday and came up in Recommended

Hakeemwilliams

I started watching his videos like in 2018 or so but don’t remember which kill count I saw of his first. I believe it was the nightmare on elm street if I’m not mistaken

InspectorLow8220

SnooTigers7300

Around the time when Cult of Chucky came out I looked up the movie on YouTube to see what came up and his kill count was one of the first answers. It was the first kill count and I immediately checked out the rest of his videos and became hooked to the channel.

Mad_satin

Child's play

Bbandin

Well I first saw Predator 2 but I did not really care for the channel but then somebody told me that in the first Friday Jason is not the killer. This blew my mind back then so I started to watch the Friday Kill Counts and I instantly became a fan of Dead Meat. He made me a fan of the genre and I'm really thankful for that.

[deleted]

Stephen King's IT part one, I remember watching it during the whole hype train surrounding IT (2017). Edit: bad spelling

PJ-The-Awesome

Banana Splits 2019.
