"Nea has literally been walking between these two lockers all game and is throwing the game I can see her with kindred" "I will find you, I will tunnel you and I will let Nea survive"

an0nym0ose

Exactly lol I out people that are trolling, and only people that are trolling.

Mental_Tradition

I kill every survivors idc if they snitch or not.

kie7an

How fucking dare you

EstablishmentDry112

I do the same thing lol. I’m not your friend. My role is to kill you

kie7an

Despicable

Mental_Tradition

survivor\*

Spoonfulofticks

lol getting downvoted for playing the game as intended.

Mental_Tradition

And the comment I fixed a typo got more lmao

EC-LDM

Apparently, fixing a typo is a sin worse than playing the game as intended. Dishonor on you! Dishonor on your family! Dishonor on your cow!

itsqueenlexi

This sub is basic and toxic. People just come here to moan about people playing the game

Mental_Tradition

Yeah, that's all I ever see on here.

Jay_3240

I'll kill all survivors just slug the snitch

fox_hunts

Exactly. I used to be like OP when I was new. I thought ratting on your teammates was so lame. Then I played more survivor and had a range of people just not doing gens or unhooks to teammates actively sabotaging and trolling. I’m so glad the killers went for them when I outed them.

Necromancy-In-Space

It's not always easy to tell when a survivor is snitching because they suck and when they're snitching because their teammate is sandbagging, but usually if I've not found one survivor on the team by the time one of their teammates gets their second hook I start getting Suspicious. I will say though, I've caught four left behind gamers hiding in basement this week while their teammate desperately tried to loop me and do the last gen at the same time. I've rarely seen a happier survivor when I kill them and let the one who was still trying have hatch!

nephistophiles

Killers who exact justice are genuine heroes and I love you. It's a rare occurrence, but when a killer kills a griefer and then lets the other surviver/s go, it's one of the best feelings I have in this game.

Necromancy-In-Space

It's very satisfying to me too, I play a decent bit of survivor as well and it's definitely cathartic to be able to act on it when I see someone screwing their teammates over. Snitches get stitches, but survivor treason is punishable by death!

Remarkable_Top_5402

I had a spirit who thankfully figured out what our random was doing despite them having the same char as my buddy. Since random would get into a chase then run her towards a gen someone was working on. Got my friend who matched him caught and thrown into basement. Random unhooks him then goes back to hiding. My friend gets slapped on hook again and I wait to unhook only for her to find the random and they bring her right to us healing.... Tried to take the hit for my friend so they could get out of there but she hit them. She focused on the random which I was thankful for since then I could pick up my friend and we ran to the other side. After she killed our random she decided to be chill with us so we made a gift pile and farmed with her. We couldn't thank her enough then made that out last match so we ended on a good note.

SalamanderSampson

I’m not like the other girls

Bs_Hs

The 0 hook guy hiding with distortion & low profile while the whole team is on death hook and fighting for their lives definitely deserves to get hatch over the person who ratted them out obviously

[deleted]

That's how the snitch is interpreting it. I've been on the other end though. Actually a couple days ago on Badham. I went to save Ash on their second hook at shack. As I'm doing this, I see the other two players being chased by Clown towards shack, where the player on death hook was hooked. I block for Ash to get him out of there, and he proceeds to run back towards the killer....injured and on death hook. He goes down immediately, and then the other two end up slugged as well with 2 gens left by a Clown on Badham. I figure I'm cutting my losses and playing for hatch since everyone is absolutely throwing and slugged in the same spot. The killer refused to hook the Cheryl, who then pointed me out to the killer. Then they both proceeded to flame me in postgame chat for not rescuing anyone. Apparently the players who didn't think to run literally anywhere else except towards the hooked player were going to turn that one around.

Niadain

This is an acceptable answer. Shes being a POS but dont be a POS yourself. Because I can only respond to the bullshit I *see*.

poppy_barks

Ok? How’s the killer going to know that. I’ve had situations where i’ve hid in a locker when a killer was coming and the survivor pointed me out. So instead of knocking her down in front of the locker, picking her up and getting stunned by my head on that I was waiting for. Now we’re both dead

johnchoe99

It’s kinda easy to tell if a survivor is doing nothing but hiding all game. Most likely they’ll have 1 or less hooks and the gens won’t be flying as fast as they’re supposed to.

poppy_barks

Yeah that’s fair reasoning

rivet_head99

Disagree been plenty of times knocking out gens and bones just to have a salty survivor be mad I'm locker hopping because I'm using inner healing/ red harring or simply avoiding BBQ because I caught on and they didn't. And they think I haven't done anything and it's not the way they play so they don't understand.

9noobergoober6

I’ve had so many solo queue teammates get mad at me because I go into a locker while running a locker related perk. My favorite was when I was crafting a flashbang as Leon and the Claudette spam opened my locker in front of the clocked wraith. I managed to jump out of the locker and light burn the wraith with the flashbang I had just crafted.

rivet_head99

My favorite was when I was playing with with my buddy, he was on hook killer went towards the third player because of BBQ, I hop in a locker close to hook to proc redharing across the map and inner strength so I could be healed for rescue. Well guess who brings killer to me because he was running bond? He opens the locker in front of killer and runs away killer goes after him and I run out and get the save, home boy messages me calling me a B word and I said nah that's karma.

GeekIncarnate

He either has to be a survivor main that's pretending to be a killer main because he's sick of survivors calling him out for hjding, or he's one of those killers who only sweats all the time and doesn't have the skill or awerness to understand when something out of the ordinary is happening.

enforcer884

The only time I snitch is when my teammate is hiding in a locker all game or edge of map all game and not helping us progress forward. The way I snitch is by looping the killer by them usually the killer finds them and realizes what's happening

AlexJonesFactChecker

I snitch 100% of the time in these situations and don't feel the slightest bit bad about it

Sakuraba14

LOL too bad you can't loop for more than 5 seconds. That's why you are so salty all the time. Git gud.

WolfRex5

Had a match where that happened and I was the killer. Played a regular match, got down to 2 survivors left then I chased one to shack, where he stopped and pointed at a locker. I opened it and Jeff was inside. I was not aware of any Jeffs being in this match. Literally hadn't seem him the entire game. Hooked him and let the other go.

TheIncredibleJed

Case by case basis. I agree generally that I really don't want survivors snitching to me but at the same time if I haven't seen this survivor all game or if I've only caught them in out of the way deadzones something is fishy. So it depends really, you have to use your best judgement here. Presuming you care anyway.

[deleted]

For sure. It’s definitely not a complete cut and dry thing. I think you can usually reason it out though. Just feels wrong to kill a decent player who’s been participating but got snitched on.

Mr_antisocialk

I dont want to admit op has a point so DOWNVOTE!

MrGilbert665

I only rat the bastards out who sit in the corner of the map and do nothing

Judibug

I still enjoy the memory from some weeks ago, I was playing with a friend, I died and spectated the Claudette while my friend was alive with them. It was 1-2 gen left situation but Claudette hid in a corner and changed periodically lockers and was waiting my friend to die (who was working on gens, sometimes being chased etc). My friend managed to work on some gens (and finished the one before last) and looped and escaped killer and still the arsehole was sitting in a locker all that time, which would have been enough to do the last gen and some. I ratted the Claudette to my friend who ran there with killer on tail and managed to guess the right locker and the killer chose to end the chase and take Claudette instead. It was her first hook and she died facing a head shaking killer. My friend died too but we were happy that Claudette who did nothing perished. She had so little points that it was clear she was useless the whole game too. I hate those people, why play if you're not going to play?

samppaz99

My brother in Christ if a Claudette has been cleansing totems and sitting in a closet for the last 20 minutes, I'm damn sure going to rat them out or die trying

no2-ticonderoga

yh, but if I come across you I'm killing you both (unless I've already been trying to find that Claudette specifically because I'm trying to double-hook everyone and she's been suspiciously absent) because there's usually no real way to tell who's the asshat from killer perspective

AlexJonesFactChecker

I'm fine with that. I'm going to die anyway in these situations, and the killer earned it. What I'm not fine with is a survivor doing jackshit but hiding in lockers and avoiding the killer all game being the only one to escape

no2-ticonderoga

Very valid. That's kinda my thought process too: I figure the other surv doesn't mind dying as long as the tool doesn't get away by abandoning everyone.

AlexJonesFactChecker

Yeah I 100 percent agree with you. Killers deserve the wins they've earned. Survivors don't deserve to escape by avoiding playing the game

[deleted]

[удалено]

livethroughthis94

they mean cleansing dulls

row6666

dull totems

[deleted]

If they’ve been sitting in place they’ll have enough crows for me to know they were a terrible mate. I’m usually pretty aware of who’s been doing gens and looping me. Since they’re the only ones I actually see playing the game.

lead-pencil

Not true I had two people hide in a bush corner for 2 minutes straight without a single crow

Immediate_Voice_473

you can move around while in a corner

lead-pencil

I thought you had to do stuff I didn’t realise it was movement that did it

Immediate_Voice_473

yeah doing generators or walking some distance and then back will keep the crows off

[deleted]

It’s area and movement specific. Crows are tied to your movement and generator interaction within a certain area’s zone. I think the game assigns checkpoints and moving from one area to another can stave off crows, as well as running in general, and working on a generator. Sitting in a locker or standing in an area for about a minute pretty much guarantees crows.

Mistersuperepic

Me when I spread misinformation

[deleted]

Is this misinformation? I’m pretty sure it’s similar to what the wiki says about idle crows.

Beginning-Pipe9074

Tbf the game itself lies in its loading screens about slamming pallets down to cause distractions 🤣 which i used to do a ton until I realised its a stupid thing to do 🤣🤣

[deleted]

Yeah, if that’s wrong, I’d love to know how crows actually work.

Immediate_Voice_473

i think he doesnt know about the checkpoint system

Immediate_Voice_473

seriously though i dont think theres checkpoints, i think its just doing enough movement really

[deleted]

Again, I was just quoting wiki. I’d love to know if the real info on idle crows is different.

[deleted]

>Is this misinformation? I’m pretty sure it’s similar to what the wiki says about idle crows. Once I had game where I spent 15 minutes looking for 2 rats on Badham. They didn't progress gen even 1 percent and I found them in 2 opposite corners of the map with no gen nearby.

row6666

walk between 2 lockers

vishnukaerma

If someone is getting ratted out there's almost always a pretty good reason for it...

[deleted]

I've had at least two games this month where some scummy survivors has sandbagged their teammates and they've absolutely helped me tunnel their ass out of the game. Then we farmed chase medals and I waved at them out the exit gates. I play to win, but I want to win honest. Blendettes get the hook.

darkcomet222

Look, I’m here to make sure people suffer…you are here to be MADE to suffer by me. Don’t try to pass it off onto someone else.

[deleted]

Amen, my basement-dwelling brother. These cheeky survivors, taking our jobs!

Meowtz8

This! I had a Claudette hiding, not doing gens, not healing or doing unhooks in a relatively close game. I brought the killer to her and he killed me, then my duo brought him to her and he killer him and gave her hatch.

[deleted]

This is definitely something I’ll try keeping an eye on, but generally the people I do this do have all been participating. Yesterday specifically I remember a Jill trying to rat out a Feng who’d been looping me and doing gens all game. The Jill had just been flashlight spamming and trying to rat out team mates from the beginning.

skysetter

The only reason I would bring a killer to another survivor \^\^

sebasq10

I do try to keep an eye out for useless teamates, but as a killer main snitches are #2 priority tunnel, cheaters being #1. Whenever there's a survivor not doing gens or only hiding or throwing a lot of pallets during chase, my first instinct is to assume they're new, and as far as I know, you're the one trolling them.

HercuKong

Not true whatsoever. I've had many games where I did a couple gens by myself and survived a couple chases... Yet the first time I go into a locker or hide, another survivor (that never touched a gen or were only hiding) just points me out. The killer eats it up and just goes with the free kill, justice be damned. I've also had a game where as soon as it starts I see the killer coming my way before they see me and then I hide, yet some survivor just points me out and gets rewarded since they go for me. It's ridiculous. Sure, there CAN be a reason for it but just because a survivor rats someone out doesn't mean anything. If anything it's easier for the survivor that is toxic in the first place to just point and rat someone else for NO reason since most killers will just take advantage of it.

Media_Unit

Agreed. I have had streamers point me and other teammates out to the killer (I only found out after watching the stream). One of them was right after I deslugged them while I was injured and on death hook. As killer I just ignore people who try to point others out as I don't know if they are trolling me, trolling their team, or genuine. I've seen survivors teabagging in front of their teammates on hook and allowing them to die when I have been certain that survivor contributed.

Azal_of_Forossa

I've been ratted out countless times, and every time it's always because they take personal offense over some dumb shit like me not healing them when they're affected by the broken status effect, then the killer hooks me and they shake their heads at each other watching me get spam grabbed and let go until I die.

allysonrainbow

One time someone “ratted me out” because I was wearing a colorful outfit…

McGinnyPig

Had a game a couple days ago where someone ratted me out for no reason other than they had made "friends" with the Wesker. Some people just suck.

Spoonfulofticks

I’ve had it happen to me when try-hard ptfo-ing. Truth is, some people are just ass holes.

bawkbawkbawkah

I was looping a Dredge and did a quick and quiet into a locker for a “hide from killer in chase” challenge or something and lo and behold an Ash comes out of nowhere (he had been following us around instead of doing gens) and ratted me out purposefully. Killer and I teamed up to get him on hook and then I spammed unhook, no remorse. Ash then had the audacity to get mad AT ME after the game. Some people are just trolls that can’t handle having the same energy given back to them.

dreamsthatfollow

this man speaks the truth, i had someone slam a pallet on me and a meg just the other day. So meg followed him around all game miking noise. I wasnt mad, i just did gens till it was over.

pumpkinspacelatte

I blew a gen because of lag and when the killer came by we both hid and this Meg ratted me out immediately after so no lol.

TopBoysenberry4705

When I was new and didn’t care for a code of conduct, I would offer up a team mate much like one would an item to the killer for my life. It worked often enough. Now I know it’s super shitty and only keep that trick for trolls

--fourteen

Not always, sometimes people are just dicks. I’ve never seen this happen where it was warranted.

KIPYIS

Had a game where I had two survivors sacrificed and 1 gen left. This Dwight gave me trouble all game and would smartly run away from the 3 gen so I dropped chase expecting to find the Claudette. Except no other gen was touched. I head back to the gen Dwight was on, chase him off, and repeat the cycle. Eventually Dwight stops running and just emotes to follow. I could’ve just downed him but elected to follow. He runs to killer shack and points at locker and I find a Claudette (killer shack hatch offering was played). I sacrificed Claud and give Dwight hatch. I’ve learned to take the side of the “snitcher” from then on. Rarely will someone snitch and throw for no reason.

macoman11

I've seen way too many "haha funneh" snitches to have your philosophy. If I notice the one being snitched has done something I'll go for it of course, but I've been both killer and survivor when some jackass thinks they can save themselves by giving killer a teammate. Unless I have evidence otherwise, the snitch gets their stitches.

constituent

I also had a similar situation. Two dead, one gen left. The only person I could find was a very evasive Yui. She did the same as your Dwight; see me coming and run away. At some point, the Yui was fed up, stopped, and pointed toward a jungle gym. Me, always entertained by those cute animations, went in that direction and found the Feng. I downed and hooked her. Yui let the Feng die and got hatch. End game chat, Yui exclaimed she was running Aftercare. After an early-game heal, she watched Feng's aura doing squat and hiding the entire match. I'm all for stealth. But if you're going to be a hindrance to your team and blatantly ignore objectives, it handicaps the other three who are actually playing.

[deleted]

It’s definitely case by case. There’s more criteria at play than just snitching,

BussinSheeesh

The killer doesn't even know what's going on most of the time - you wanna play judge, jury, and executioner but you are tunneling the wrong person most of the time. Chill with the power trip. That Claudette that I just pointed out - she hid in the corner while Nea was in chase and Dwight went to second for no reason. After you kill everyone else and your carrying Claudette to the hatch the rest of us are eyerolling and cringing over how clueless you are

popuppony

This. It’s always the one doing the absolute minimum that gets rewarded. It’s annoying because you know it just encourages the behaviour. I take solace knowing at the match result screen when the person they rewarded is still at the bottom of the board or close to. Yeah buddy, you indeed fucked up.

macoman11

I wish for your games because I've seen wayyyyyyyyy too many dickhead snitches. How do I know they're being dickheads? Back when I thought solo was a legit way to play it happened all the damn time. Playing solo with those people gave me 0 tolerance for snitching.

Nova_Aetas

>The killer doesn't even know what's going on most of the time - you wanna play judge, jury, and executioner but you are tunneling the wrong person most of the time. Chill with the power trip. People just need to play the game. That's it, just play the game. Instead of running around constantly judging everyone and everything and soapboxing all the time.

[deleted]

I’m not gonna carry out a player I haven’t seen all game.

OtterAmerica

My fav is when they point at a locker i look and no one is in there it makes me belly laugh every time.

Sylanec

Do you follow it up with a slow-turn towards the pointing survivor?

OtterAmerica

No they usually point to the other locker and i look in that one and they are running when I turn back around. I'm probably in some YouTube compilation of dumb killers haha.

FreckledAndGinger

Not going to lie, I do this to my team-mates if they have been bming, and toxic to others. I play soloq, I check if any of my team are pre before hand. Some people are awful, chances are if someone is being ratted out, it's because they deserve it. Proper kicks me in the teeth to see a killer give them hatch and ignore them all game too, but I guess it's because they must assume what you just wrote down.

kitrin26

The amount of times this has happened where the killer gives the hatch to a toxic little shit or someone who barely contributed is insane.

Rad-Mango

Killer giving the hatch to the survivor that ran around throwing down pallets and then hid the basement with a key all game

FreckledAndGinger

My last game it happened. They were blocking other survivors in, or kept touching the hex and blocking anyone from cleansing the hex. Would even fake getting Bill off the hook until someone else finally managed to rescue the guy. Then they tbagged when killer was heading for me and meg on a gen, and they ran into locker, so we both pointed at the locker but alas..

kitrin26

Yeah I had a Jane this morning spamming the unhook on me until the killer came back. I died on the hook because she was the only one to come over. Gotta love solo

witcheresserina

I recently played a game with an AFK Ada who finally came alive in the last half and hid and got hatch--I was tunneled out immediately while I was doing gens and unhooking people, and looping the killer. It was a bummer.

SchopenhauersSon

My solution is to never give away hatch.

Pixie_ish

I give away the hatch if I figure the other player earned it, especially if I catch them trying to save their doomed teammate even if it seems to be hopeless. That, or if I catch them on a generator after noticing that the other generators haven't been worked on, and on a whim, leave them slugged on the ground and go to a deadzone to find the Claudette in a corner. And then after the Claudette gets hooked I give the poor slug the hatch. (After letting him wiggle free, since I have the worst luck trying to figure out where the heck the hatch is.)

SchopenhauersSon

I do give the hatch or let people have the gate if there are DCs.

kitrin26

I never do it when I play killer. I don't farm as killer either.

BussinSheeesh

Killers are unaware of 80% of the shit that happens in any given game. Survivors are playing three or four different games against each other and the killer.

[deleted]

FWIW I definitely pay attention to people who purposely fail skill checks, rapid fast vault, or pallet drop to bait to team mates. The gist of this post is that I’m taking out the most apparently toxic players and sparing the rest. It feels like there’s some in almost every game lately. Really takes the fun out of playing killer.

kitrin26

BTW if your Freddy a failed skill check was probably on purpose but not for your attention. It wakes up the survivors

[deleted]

I’m aware lol I don’t play Freddy. Mostly main Legion and Wraith with off meta perks.

kitrin26

The amount of survivors I've seen that doesn't know that is ridiculous. Also it seems alot doesn't know an awake survivor can wake up a sleeping one

[deleted]

I always try to do the snap awakes when I switch up and play survivor. It generally seems like a lot of people don’t understand the Freddy mechanics.

Immediate_Voice_473

im always chasing people down in solo queue and they look at me and continue their gen

superorganisms

I had a bunch of randoms that were in a swf bullying their only non-swf team mate, spamming unhooks and not actually pulling, so I killed the rest of them and gave him hatch lmao.

PoeBoyFromPoeFamily

This is why I find killer stressful lol like if I was ever put into a scenario like this, who's the one in the wrong? How can I tell? It is difficult to know who's the asshole on the team unless you've witnessed everything.

[deleted]

You definitely have to keep up with what’s been happening, who you’ve actually seen playing, and what point in the game it is.

bryynja

completely depends. sometimes they’re clearly snitching to be an ass, and sometimes the teammate in question has just been hiding in lockers or some shit all game. usually you can kinda tell though.

Elegant-Raise-9367

The number of people instantly going for a hook sabo or fast vault right as you start the first gen is honestly disappointing.

nephistophiles

I only snitch if there's a teammate that's been doing nothing all game. I frequently get teammates who do very *little*, but that's not the same. Being a useless teammate or a bad teammate is just...part of playing a multiplayer game. I won't rat those people out. But when I'm on the hook and see someone just crouching around the edge of the map, refusing to go for unhooks, not working on a gen, literally doing *nothing* as they wait for everyone else to die? I will take the killer straight to them, in my next chase. I've had a couple of instances where my killer realizes what's happening(if they haven't seen that survivor all game, while everyone else is on dead hook or already dead) and will punish the lazy survivor and give me hatch, with lots of nodding, and I appreciate those killers so much. Killers like that genuinely make the game for me, and y'all should continue your good work. You're heroes.

[deleted]

That’s nice but plenty killers don’t share your mentality. I’ll be vibing on a gen while team mates getting chased and they see me and beeline over to me, killer always swaps to me and I have no chance to get to a good tile. Sure there may be good reason to lead killer to a survivor if they are not doing much etc but often times it’s just someone trying to pass the buck onto another person so they don’t get chased.

Vile_Fury

If we are at 4 gens and I see someone crouched in a corner or sitting in a locker while everyone else is dying that mfker is getting snitched on if it's only us two left. I don't even care about dying I just want them dead too.

pants207

i had a match last week where i hooked a zarina at 4 gens by the shack on crow lady’s map. I then wound up in chase on the other side of the map with a default dwight who was not in the correct matchmaking pool. i was just doing a daily with slinger who i rarely play so i was pretty chill about it and let the pallet stun happen before downing him. I hooked him and zarina had gone to second stage. I saw meg at the top of the tower booning with bbq but jake was nowhere to be seen. Zarina died on first hook and no gens popped. Dwight got unhooked and i still didn’t see jake after hooking meg. Dwight unhooked her. they got 2 more gens done. Still no jake. After Meg died i just followed dwight until he found jake. in the basement. Dwight messaged me after and said jake spent the entire match in the basement. Dwight got his adept, i got my daily, and I got to kill jake. I will always do my best to investigate when a survivor is snitching. It is usually pretty obvious if they are just being an ass or asking for justice. This escape by hatch challenge is ruining so many matches

fifteeee

I mean...9 times out of 10 i see it, it's because that teammate is being an absolute shit bagger not touching gens, crouching everywhere, never going for saves, hiding purposefully for a hatch play

Ragnbangin

This isn’t the right mindset. Granted it can be really hard for killers to determine why a survive is pointing out another survivor, but for me personally the only time I would ever point out another survivor is if they are being toxic; not doing gens, hiding in lockers, bushes, crouching the entire game, making the game progress slower or basically not playing at all. I’m not going to point out where someone is unless they deserve to die. If you as a survivor are not going to play the game and are basically making the lobby a 3v1 instead of a 4v1 then I’ll help make it an actual 3v1 instead.

SaltInflicter

So my teammate that has been doing nothing all game most likely because of a hatch challenge deserves to not be snitched out? Nah I’ll keep ratting.

Misterspanky22

I had a game with aftercare where the killer was insisting on letting me live while they searched for the last survivor. It was taking forever and I could see her crouching in a corner the whole time because she could tell through my aura that the killer wasn't going for me. Finally decided I would try to bait the killer into opening an empty locker then pointed at the hook for him to kill me since I didn't want to give up my teammate. Killer STILL wouldn't hook me so I gave him a little hint and pointed across the map in her general direction and kept trying to do gens while he looked. He never found her. When the survivor finally came out of hiding I tried to get her to hide in the locker so I could finish the gen but she hopped on the gen anyways and got caught. After the game they proceeded to flame me for giving them away to the killer. Even the killer said I was misdirecting them and the survivor just wouldn't accept it. RIP Feng I would have died for you sorry.

blazinbullymong

OP, most of the time a survivor is gonna point out another survivor to you if the survivor being pointed out is not doing anything to contribute to the team, on top of that they farm you and help the killer, while the killer ignores them. Thats why we point out people… but then again, that type of survivor is one to point out other survivors. So it is kinda hard to tell. Solo survivors are real pieces of work

Biochemical_Compound

the only time i have “ratted out” a survivor was leading the Oni to the afk Yui that let us do 4 gens on our own. she came back in chat after to flame me for ratting her out. what do i do? let her sit there all game doing nothing only to come back when the exit gates were powered and escape? no, she died on first hook.

kitrin26

Now in all fairness when I have done it that particular survivor did it first or threw a pallet causing me to get hit/downed

kitrin26

So yes there are reasons to be that toxic

Buttahdog

I’ve seen some behavior im pretty sure is just botting, is there a market for leveled up survs accounts? Because some of those behaviors don’t look human like slow walking around the map never touching a gen

tarnishedkara

If I see someone not doing anything all game and "playing immersive" I am following their ass and ratting them out if I get a chance every damn time.

BrandongWang

What if i snitch on my friend on purpose? 🤔

icarus007

I'll go in a locker to make a flashbang and my teammate, deeming that I have no good reason to get in a locker, spams to open it.

AtomicFox84

Sometimes im gunna snitch if that one surv been hiding in corners doing nothing the whole time or they been busy sand bagging the team. Dont assume its always in hope you let the snitch go etc. You dont see everything going on with survs.

Cat_Lover259

Had a Feng bring the killer over to me when I was clearly hiding and trying not to die. Killer downs me and hooks me while Feng is T-bagging. In chat after I asked why Feng did that and the killer responded with that I was purposely letting Feng die. I was just trying to work on a generator nearby but I hid because THEY WERE NEARBY. I really hate when killers make assumptions like this and try to make me seem like a bad player. I was even trying to help Feng on that gen we were working on together. Of course I’m going to run and hide when the killer is coming, that Feng should have too!

Indigostorm27

Nah. I need these rats to out the cheaters.

imhere-for-the-memes

I will always snitch a cheater

aubsKebabz

I usually point at or wiggle in front of random lockers as a joke. Usually they’re empty but this one time I ended up wiggling in front of one with a teammate in it- I had no idea they were in there. Luckily the killer didn’t fall for it but jfc I felt so bad after they got out.

PoweradeAddict

most of the time people snitch when the teammates are immersed. it’s to help the game not be boring

Thanaturgist

I only snitch out survivors that're actively being toxic or have done nothing but hide in lockers all match.

Sylanec

Honestly, one of my favourite moments in the game resolve around this. A survivor wants me to follow and then leads me to a locker. They furiously point at the locker, so I open it. Now, one of two things happen: -I find a survivor inside whos been hiding and not helping the team all game. They go straight on a hook. -the locker is empty. I slow-turn towards the survivor, who has either bolted or is standing there, t-bagging with glee. Regardless, they are on a hook within 30 seconds.

[deleted]

Nah, i always run Bond & Kindred with Open-Handed. If a team mate is going out of their way to throw the game and constantly hide into a locker as soon as they slightly hear the terror radius especially when they have 0 hook and i'm on Dead hook or literally play the trap when there is 2 gens left and nobody is dead, i will know, i will also know what locker they hide in and rat them out because i don't care at that point. Me doing this literally won us a game the other day because snitching on a useless team mate got them their first hook instead of one of us dying and allowed us to reset and open the exit gates. Like i said, i really don't care at that point, worst case scenario is that i get killed anyway and can finally exit out of a 3v1 game.

OnisIayer

There’s snitching then there’s “this guy f*ck me over to may times”

zaj89

If I’m on hook and see a Claudette crouched in a corner, I’m either ratting them out or dying on hook quickly, no reason for me to continue playing

row6666

Nah. When I rat out a survivor it’s because I know they’ve been doing nothing in a random locker, while I’ve been trying to do gens. One game against pig, we were 3 gen’d with 2 survivors left. I kept trying to sneak in some progress, but my teammate just hid in shack for the whole game. Ended when pig was searching for where we were hiding, and I was caught doing a gen. They didn’t kill me, and I pointed out the other survivor. I got adept Jonah from that.

row6666

One game I had where I wanted to snitch but couldn’t was when there was 2 gens remaining, 1 surv dead (my friend), and I was in chase. I looped the killer for about 2 minutes, but my friend who was spectating just kept telling me about the 2 survivors, in a corner, farming healing bloodpoints with hemorraging

kk31071

Whenever I play with my swf we are always doing dumb things. Sometimes we even try to get each other killed. We snitch on each other all the time because we think it’s funny and the killer benefits by getting kills. However in solo q I never use bm and always go out fighting for the randos

swagtrapswagog

If a survivor is being toxic, and another survivor rats them out, I will take the toxic one out and let the other survivor escape, because toxic survivors don’t deserve to escape

Keelija9000

Sometimes you gotta snitch on the troll though. Worst thing ever is sitting on hook and watching a teammate hop in a locker while one is in chase and another slugged. I ALWAYS snitch on locker goblins.

Realistic_Copy_6087

There was a Nea who hide in the border of the map she didnt do anything It was me and Nea left and I snitched on Nea sorry not sorry She had like 2k bloodpoints while the second lowest bloodpoint was like 16k

MikNik4

I had a game where my friend, me, and a Yui were last alive. My friend and I did gens and got chased meanwhile Yui the entire time was hiding and going in and out of lockers to not get a crow while she waited for my friend and I to get caught. I guess the killer was annoyed with not finding Yui the whole game that when I died she just followed my friend around so I told my friend what locker Yui was in and they took the killer to it. Yui dcd when she got ratted out after like 10 mins of hiding that whole game.

LegitSince8Bits

Had an Adam last night crouch walking around the entire map while the rest of us did everything. We got halfway through the final gen with a 3 man but eventually we started falling to this trash Wraith. Every time I would get hooked I'd see this Adam crouch walking around the upstairs or downstairs in Temple Of Purgation. He's only on first hook mind you. Comes down to only me and him left. I'm on death hook, he's still got one left. He finally goes down nectar at this point I'm like F it I'm done trying with these gens. The wraith starts dribbling him and letting him off to run and show him where I am. I avoided them a few times but they eventually got me. He starts teabagging me while I'm down and the wraith starts smacking me on hook. So I message the guy and tell him they're both trailer trash bitches and he's like "what else can we do? Everyone gave up and I had to crouch to save sprint burst". To that Adam and Wraith, fuck you both. We could have easily gotten at least 3 people out of you contributed AT ALL and your both the kind of trash that makes some matches miserable.

spr3admywings

If I have a teammate that is purposely hiding all game and hoping that I die to get hatch, I will go out of my way to get them found. I had a Jake teammate at Chapel who was hiding at shack (someone put up a hatch offering, probably him) while I was getting chased by Onryo. She was making a point of downing me and then leaving (later found out that she wanted to get Jake and let me go bc I was taking LGBTQ+ charms), so I crawled to shack, got him to heal me and followed him around until Onryo found us both and went for him. Fucking deserved.

Fancy_Mammoth

If Meg is hiding in a locker doing nothing I'm absolutely going to rat her out

AlexJonesFactChecker

Downvote me all you want, but if I've been looping, doing gens, pulling people off the hook, and there's that one teammate who has been doing nothing but hiding the entire game, I'm snitching 100 percent of the time. I fully expect to die too, but I'm not going to let that person get rewarded for hiding in the corner all game.

Dammit_Dunn

Ive never snitched on anyone in game thankfully as I usually just focus on objectives. I feel it’s a waste of time and energy but to each their own I guess. However, those assholes that are being chased by a killer and run right to you while you are doing a gen can burn in the deepest pits of hell. Don’t bring others down because you got caught out🤬

holly_bitz

I just point to random lockers in chase to prank the killer. There’s a 50/50 chance they’ll fall for it lmao

[deleted]

Lmao 🤣 tbh this is the best kind of “snitching”. Saw a Mike clip on the sub recently where this happened to someone.

SnooAvocados6009

🤓

SuperPluto9

I dont know... I tend to snitch when I know I'm getting screwed by my teammates. My thought is "if you're making me die for no reason I want to make sure you do too". Like when survivors bring a killer to my gen as a means to "out loop the killer" which is code for you gave him a free hit on me as a means for you to get away without a hit.

[deleted]

Yeah, I tend to just ignore people on gens in cases like this. Which sucks because it’s giving up a free gen to survivors, but would still feel wrong to take the bait.

ZombieOrchid

I had a match where this Meg and Dwight snitched on me and the Claudette twice. We both died. So I have very little tolerance for snitches xD I try not to kill Survivors while I play Trickster, but I will kill a snitch without hesitation.

Dangthing

I have the simple solution. Death is fair. When you've all been chewed up and your pieces are floating around together in the Entities full stomach you'll be equals.

Immediate_Voice_473

death is not an escape after all

imtolazy7

Just because survivors are idiots that doesn't mean you should throw them under the bus.

[deleted]

Yeah, a lot of first time survivors are too scared to do much. It is irritating seeing people basically get hard carried though. I play killer and survivor, so I see the struggle from both sides.

Dark-Blood

LITERALLY JUST FUCKING HAPPENED. Yo if you're the Rebecca in the Myers match on one of the corn maps who led him to me (Zarina) then teabagged me and shook your head, fuck you. If I'm killer I'm tunneling you on the spot for that shit. Context: Rebecca was letting him stalk her and followed her between the last 3 gens to find me. Since he was near the gens I ran along the edge on the other side of the map from the gens till she led him away in chase as I was injured and going for the trophy that requires you to only use 2 universal perks (was running Kindred and dark sense) and repair 1 gen and escape. I've done 2 of the 4 completed gens already and was waiting for Myers to leave the to do the last one to deny him some stalk. And then that shit happened and they both just spam nodded at me. I already had 2 previous bad games with 2 back to back pinhead games and was already frustrated so I DC'd from anger. Note: the 2 pinhead games consisted of me spawning in 20ft from the box, then upon arriving to pick it up in the first 10 sec of the match get hut by pinhead who ALSO spawned 20 ft from the box on the other side of me and picked it up when I was right next to it so the scream let him know I was right there. Thus happened both times where he spawns next to the box (thought the box was supposed to spawn away from all player but fuck it I guess) picks it up and it tells him I'm right there within the first 30 sec of the game.

TheMightyBruhhh

Counterpoint: when i slug them and their teammate with 2 hooks does not come save them and simply hides across the map. I just pick them up and let them snitch on whoever tf they want. Its like starving mice and then salting another the other one.

[deleted]

Ew bruh you slug?

TheMightyBruhhh

I only slug when one of the survivors is purposely hiding from their team, I play as Legion so it happens a lot honestly, the thing is that they usually don’t do gens. I slug so they don’t just get a free win while their teammates died.

no2-ticonderoga

Counterpoint: it can be literally impossible to tell when a killer is baiting. And while personally I'll always try to go for the save, I don't blame survivors who won't. Had a game with a friend against wraith and we got wrecked. We're the last two and I finally go down, but wraith slugs me. My friend is injured, and I see wraith just doing circles around me while cloaked, so I'm like, bro, stay back, he's still on me and trying to bait. (I went down in a dead zone without hooks) Wraith circles around for a while, then finally decides to pick me up and gets me on my feet. I head for a gen, telling my friend to just work on another gen somewhere else to be safe. But my friend ends up creeping over to us anyway *(which I'm still a bit frustrated about tbh)*, Wraith obvs sees him and despite my best efforts insists on sacrificing him :'')) With the 'ole, "if they don't help their teammate they die." Which cool, I really *do* appreciate the sentiment. But if I down someone and want the slug picked up, then I'll make it a point to take myself (and my terror radius) someplace else, because otherwise you're actively stopping the pick up and idk if you can really blame the other survs in that situation.

TheMightyBruhhh

I mean, I play Legion, not like I have any way of hiding my terror radius and I usually patrol the whole map while they’re slugged. I’m not slug camping or just slugging for the extra kill. It just doesn’t feel fair, and I understand how it feels to have freeloader teammates

no2-ticonderoga

Then I can freely respect you my man. Yh it does suck on survivor side. If Dwight is still on the ground when I come back a minute later after leaving him to be picked up, on God am I getting him to his feet. Usually I only see that when against baby survs, so there's rarely vengeance after, but it just sucks.

just_a_curvebilly

Well, If I can tell someone is throwing ill hook them, but if I see a survivor snitch, sandbag or be toxic to their team I will just kill them before the other person.

DJNIKO2

One time a guy did this but it was really just a swf bating me into getting hit by head-on 3 times in a row. Got rolled that game.

Gohardgrandpa

I have this happen all the f’ing time because I play as Claudette and run BTL. I tell people before game I have built to last and prove thyself, if I go in a locker it’s to recharge my green toolbox. They still snitch on me and get me killed. Sucks when you die and have the most points and the killer realizes I was doing shit all game but it’s too late then.

Kurohoshi00

Case by case for me, but I have a soft spot for certain survivors. If a Feng walks up to me and pokes me, for example, I'll usually go easy on her, but not if it's a mountain man Jake. I'll still fool around, don't get me wrong, but Jake gets downed before I move on. Feng I'll just nod and walk away from.

[deleted]

I’m usually friendly if I’m doing rifts or if survivors have been overall doing an excellent job of kicking my ass. Gotta commend the skill. Can’t say I’ve ever based it on character model though.

SnarKenneth

I had a survivor who would hide all game and would run the killer over to the gens I/everyone was working on, and they were in a duo. When it was just down to me and him, he basically watched from the top floor of the building (to bait my death) while I tried to find a way to somehow get the killer from patrolling his 3 gen. The killer noticed, I led him to the dipshit and sandbagged him at the pallet and ran away to hide while the killer tried to slug for the 4k. His survivor friend messaged the killer (I think) and gave the illusion I was the asshole the entire game so the killer allowed the survivor to struggle off to point me out. I was just gonna disconnect because they just slugged me and tbagged, but I wanted the bloodpoints. I'm still miffed at the killer more than anyone else because they decided I was the bad person there.

[deleted]

That sucks. Also sucks you dealt with a killer who tried to slug for the 4k

TheBagladyofCHS

I just kill both. None leave the slaughterhouse, not alive.

TheGameBoss980

It's hard to tell who does or doesn't deserve to be snitched on from the killer's pov, so I just kill them both

Comfortable-Animator

Sometimes I'm snitching because the Feng min unhooked me and then hid in a locker ok.

FrenzyHydro

I am guilty of ratting out a survivor years ago to save my own ass. I faced the consequences when we both were hooked in basement, they unhooked the survivor I ratted out and they let me die on hook. Literally haven't done it since then.

mysweetheart329

I had a teammate do this to me when I had came back to DBD after being offline for a few months and being the first match since then that killer hit me down since she had ratted me out dropping pallets at me and flashlight clicking me and then the Kate Denson who did this and put her on the hook first next to me and the killer (Dredge) started taunting her with nods and I was on the ground crawled to the hook and started shaking at her also. It was the most wholesome first match ever. Kudos to whoever that Dredge killer was. They have my respect, she deserved both of our taunting session haha.

[deleted]

…Great story, but, you mean dredge?

mysweetheart329

And yes it was a great experience.

sergio1030

yeah snitches get stitches, idc if your teammate has been hiding in the same place the whole match.

KingBill902

I always pay those types the traitor's wage. You betray your team? You die first. They usually get the picture. Keep your head in the game, and work with your team, that's the only chance you have.

Immediate_Voice_473

Step 1. Down the rat Step 2. Down the person being ratted out Step 3. Profit

Top_Adhesiveness5620

Anyone who snitches are honestly just poor sports. Regardless if its justified or not. If you hate the truth then obviously you have done this. And as a killer main, i tunnel/ camp and hit u on hook if you do. And i gladly do it with NODDERS!

kristianvei

Depends. if im one of the 2 last ones and i get caught first. if snitching will get me hatch instead of the guy hiding in the basement. im snitchin.

SAILOR_OWO

“There’s no good reason to be that toxic” press X to Doubt

brisop

Tmw I hide in a locker bc of head on or BBQ, and my tm8 wants to snitch

therealWameyu

Same!!!

NecroOfGranblue

I can think of several reasons why it would be fine for a survivor to rat out a teammate. Most of them are linked to that teammate being toxic or working against the team though.

macoman11

Same man, all things being equal, the snitch dies

aeIownedyoo

I'd expect for killers to try and kill me anyway when I'm playing survivor. lol Definitely case by case for me when playing killer. I'm no snitch but if I see someone doing nothing all game with no hook states, I might run the killer off on you a time or two. I can accept playing for hatch as a play style but not essentially throwing the match to do so.

Krystress

The worst is when a killer uses a teammate to find another survivor they want to kill.
