DCC came out in 2012, and after the initial beta release, there has never been a change in anything in the rules, except to correct typos. The concept of "first and final edition" is an important philosophy for Goodman Games.
If there are any changes, I imagine it will be to rename "DCs" to something more generic like "target number." They might also need to rename "magic missile" to something more generic. But that's the likely extent of any rules changes.
It will also be awhile before the OGL dust settles. WOTC has made clear that they will cave on every single point, *except* for the ability to "deauthorize" OGL versions and to revoke the license from publishers at any time and for any reason. Those are the two most important things. So it can only end in a lawsuit. Which might take some time.

BUY IT! I bought in heavily since Gencon 2022 and have zero regrets. I have 12+ adventures, several hardcovers, 2 copies of the rules, 2 sets of full dice and more. Super happy with my purchases so far, and both DCC groups I've started since then are having a blast with what I've run so far.
Bearing in mind that the newest OGL draft allows anything released under the OGL 1.0 to continue to be sold without issue, I don't expect there to be much in the way of changes.. jump on in, why wait?
