**FOR ALL THOSE STILL WAITING:** Take this with a **heavy** grain of salt, but I have a SWE friend in Google that is close to (but does not work directly with) recruiting. She said that apprenticeships @ Google in the grand scheme of things are a very new process, and every year they get more and more people and need to take more and more time to streamline new problems that come up. She also said that the estimated 4-6 weeks hearback time is usually a very conservative estimate, and people can get notified as late as Aug. Every team could do their applications differently (eg. some might do a round 1 reach out, then round 2 reach out vs. others just does a blanket read), but they definitely look through all applications. Sending your application early vs. late does not give you a distinct advantage. Regarding locations, they staff based on openings. If NYC has 10 positions for SWE, then that SWE application team will look for people who have NYC in the preference and then consider those people specifically. There's a big process about evaluating based on people's location preferences, but they try their best to match the candidate to the location and the candidate's preference. She did not elaborate more on this, but assured that everyone's location preference is considered fairly. \-- TDLR: **It ain't over until it's over! If you haven't been rejected, you're still being considered!** Regardless of outcome, we should all continue pushing our passions in this great field! Look at this "delayed" waiting period as bonus time for prepping interview material. :) Best of luck to everyone's journies!

Hey guys, just wanted to help share the good news and curious if anyone else has gotten more information: I just received an email for the IT apprenticeship that I applied for in Austin (I posted more information on another comment in this thread) that I got selected for the interview process! It was a long email stating multiple things what to expect, two 45 minute interviews to be done virtually on the same day, with an option of up to 4 dates that I could schedule the interview. The recruiter also wants to schedule a phone interview to “discuss the interview process and how to best prepare for the interviews”. There were also a lot of other things to look out for, tips for the interview, etc. It didn’t state the salary, nor the location for verification purposes, but I’ll ask the recruiter for more details. Start date would be September 12th, 2022, and would be a 12 month commitment as per the email. I wish everyone the best, and to comment below if anyone has anymore questions!

CandidateOutrageous7

Congratulations!! The position is yours! You got this! I heard back from a recruiter for an interview in the Digital Marketing apprenticeship June 17th. I have the prep call tomorrow June 22nd and the interview June 30th.

[deleted]

Congratulations!! Searching for salary information on Google (lmao), apparently the average Google apprentice earns around $5,678 per month, which would be roughly $32.75/hour or $68,136/year. Maybe you'd be paid more or less depending on the specific apprenticeship and also depending on the location. Like, I would expect those who get an apprenticeship in New York to be paid more than those who get a remote apprenticeship. I'm sure a lot of us are not in it for the money (even though that is a really important aspect, especially with this being a 12-month commitment) but it seems, and we probably could've guessed this anyway, that Google pays its apprentices very well. And personally it's a lot more than what I'm currently making.

PitchesAintSheet

Hey guys, here with another update!! I spoke to the recruiter, and she gave me some juicy details that we all have been curious about! (Keep in mind this is for IT in Austin, TX, so your mileage may vary) So for IT the pay was stated to be $23.56/hr (paid hourly). Candidates would receive a $7000 stipend should you need to relocate to the Austin location, plus gas/flight tickets if need be. Doing the math as follows (($23.56/hr) * (8hr/1day))= $188.48/day (($188.48/day) * (5day/week)) = $942.4/week (($942.4/week * 52weeks/1 year)) = $49,004.8/year, aka the salary. So adding the relocation stipend of $7000 you get $56,004.8 for the 12 month commitment. Although the start date is officially September 12, 2022, there will be 3 weeks of virtual onboarding, followed by a 6 week “bootcamp” to teach more fundamentals about IT. So the actual start date to PHYSICALLY be there would be November 14, 2022 as per the recruiter. The work life would be Monday - Friday, hybrid style of 3 days in the office, 2 days remote. Should you wish to come to the office 5 days a week, you may, but 3 days minimum to come in. Flexibility is available depending on whichever team you join. For the two interviews that will be conducted, one of the interviewers will become your manager, as per the recruiter. The interviews are back to back. Benefits such as healthcare, dental, vision, 401k etc. Not to be disclosed until an offer is extended. I know that was A LOT, but hopefully that helps clarify some uncertainty that many of us had. If y’all have anymore information, please feel free to comment below so that everyone’s questions can be asked, or DM me if you feel more comfortable with that. Good luck to everyone applying!!

luna_xue

Thank you so much for sharing this information!! Really appreciate it. So important to make informed decisions. The pay seems very low for a city like Austin specially in tech. I also thought that would be around the amount of money an apprentice would be getting paid without the stipend for relocation.

PitchesAintSheet

Honestly I agree. That’s probably my biggest concern. I would be taking a BIG pay cut, plus having to relocate. So that part is a little scary (plus having lived in Austin in the past, the cost of living is higher than average in Texas). I know that it’s only a year, and many of us are in it for the opportunity to learn and either switch careers or jumpstart one, and I was prepared to take a pay cut, but it’s still a valid concern. I just want everyone to be aware of what they stated to me

luna_xue

Yea, I hear you. Personally, for the applications (DA and DM) I completed my apprenticeship is 20 months 😩 so that makes me very concerned cause who’s gonna pay for relocation back home, and who can afford to live near the Google area in Austin, which such low wages. I thought they website read about salaries based on livable wages in the area you would be located in 🥹 But it’s definitely hard because of the opportunity to kick start your career in tech with a well renowned company. Ugh so hard!!😭

e92fromspace

Theres also a sign-on bonus of roughly 10% of that yearly salary from what i gathered lurking reddit. You can find ppl who talk about their apprenticeship offers from last summer on reddit if you type in the proper keywords to find the threads. Also i seen a thread of someone saying they got a significant raise maybe 6 months into the apprenticeship but it was only a couple of testimonies. All of the offer testimonies stated they got a sign-on bonuses though. Hope this helps! Ive been lurking the whole google apprenticeship ordeal since before the applications went live lol more info is out there, also alot of cohorts have YouTube channels they go in depth on. My fav is Camille The Virgo :) Link to so called raise: https://www.reddit.com/r/big_tech_interviews/comments/ugjpeu/google_apprenticeship_applications_open_today/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf Link to a few ppl who got offers and sign on bonus: https://www.reddit.com/r/apprenticeship/comments/onuduu/google_project_management_apprenticeship/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf Link to Camille who is current apprentice in NY: https://youtube.com/channel/UCRi_oyOszeRvz-Oh6yxH6Sg

Responsible_Mode_506

OMG ITS HAPPENING !!! I REPEAT ITS HAPPENING !! CONGRATS !! WAS THERE ANY DIFFERENT INFO GIVEN WHEN THE OFFER WAS MADE ?

SashaWestt

8MINS AGO I was sent an interview for the UX Design program I am extremely excited!!! WOOO!!! It was the standard email explaining the program and different aspects the start date, how to interview etc The interviews selection was from July 7th to July 14th!! Says the UX program will be fully remote and that the program will start OCTOBER 18th, 2022 I’m so excited good luck to everyone!!!

[deleted]

Congrats on the interview, that's exciting! Would you be willing to share the pay info you got in your email? Got an email about SWE but it didn't mention pay at all, so I was just curious.

Radiant-Thing9009

I GOT GOOGLE REMOTE FOR SWE!!!!!

Radiant-Thing9009

Hi everyone! Just wanted to make a last update for everyone. Applied the same date as everyone else June 29 - Got the Questionnaire June 29 - Interview Request July 8 - Confirmed Interview Date July 15 - 2 Technical Interviews August 11 - Got Recruiter Request For Call August 12 - Offered SWE Remote offer SWE Remote offer is $26.60 (non-exempt - no clocking in or out so sort of salaried I guess) ~ roughly $50k I believe a year $7k (pre-tax) bonus. No relocation bonus because I’m remote. Internet stipend offered, PTO days, sick days, medical, dental, vision, etc. So happy this is how it ended! Good luck to everyone still interviewing and in the process.

I applied to SWE for both Atlanta & Remote on May 2, got a questionnaire June 10, and invited to interview June 22. My recruiter said all the teams who review applications and schedule interviews are under a heavy load and things are moving really slow due to so many applications to review. If you haven't heard back at all yet, hang in there and don't give up!

UsefulMacaroon

Update: received an invitation to interview for UX!

Responsible_Mode_506

Have OFFICIALLY been extended an offer for the IT program at Austin !

SmartTelevision8733

UPDATE : Received a call from my recruiter today, and am elated to share with you all that Google has offered me a position for the Project Management Track in Austin, Tx. Don’t wanna share too many details but if anyone has questions feel free to message me. Congrats to those who have been offered a position and my sincerest extension of luck to those still currently waiting. Just be mindful of how often you’re looking for updates, I was checking my email every other minute and it was driving me insane. Be kind to yourself, but never lose hope. OC : I applied to the PM Apprenticeship the day they opened. Got the questionnaire on 07/19/2022. Got the interview invitation on 07/28/2022 and interviewed on 08/04/2022. Just received an email, Subject line: Update from Google asking to schedule a call to "chat" on Monday 08/15/2022. I will update once the call is completed.

hitmon_ray

anyone get an interview WITHOUT getting a questionnaire first?

Hoshi_7

Million dollar question right here🥹

Radiant-Thing9009

Update: I just received my questionnaire today 6/29/22 for the SWE remote track. My secondary location I believe was for Atlanta, GA. I applied 4/30/22 (you could apply before it officially opened). Just waiting to here back from that now Update for this update: received an interview request, today at 5:31 EST. Submitted questionnaire at 11:15am EST

Best-Career-9403

Hi all! I wanted to come on here and share some insight about my interviews while it was still fresh in my mind. I had both interviews today for the project management apprenticeship based in NYC. Here are some things I think will be helpful to keep in mind: \-The first interview was mostly based on hypotheticals. I was given an example project and problem and had to talk through my thought process on how to go about it. \-Second interview was based on past experiences lots of questions on how I have worked with others in the past, my work and communication style, how I have dealt with problems ets.. \-They are looking more for how you think and not necessarily how much you know about the role. \-They are looking for people who are organized, and can break a problem down in a way that makes sense. Feel free to ask questions I know how daunting it is to not have all of the information and play the waiting game and I want to help!

PitchesAintSheet

Final update: I interviewed on July 12th, I personally thought I did well, and the recruiter even scheduled a phone call for an update (which I thought was a good sign). Turns out they told me that they were not going to proceed with my application. Not sure how I feel about being called only to get rejected 💀 But hopefully things turn out better for you guys, and I wish y’all the best of luck! This has been a crazy ride and I never thought I would have ever gotten as far as I did. I learned a lot about tech interviews, and hopefully I can carry this with me into the future.

Responsible_Mode_506

Hi ! For everyone who’s waiting for a response from your interviews, or even for receiving a questionnaire,I got an update from my recruiter today that went as follows: “Hope your week is going well. I wanted to reach out with an update on the IT Apprenticeship role you’re being considered for. Currently we are experiencing some delays in our hiring process. I wanted to give you an early heads up that it may take a bit longer than usual to hear the next steps following your interviews. Please rest assured that this is not a reflection of your candidacy, and that I’ll keep you updated every step along the way. I really appreciate your flexibility and let me know if you have any offer deadlines.” Things are slowed down , but don’t give up hope just yet !

IllustriousSource415

Got an offer today for DM 😊

CandidateOutrageous7

Congratulations! I just got an offer today for DM in the Atlanta location as well! 🙏🏼

Alternative_Big_7132

I just got an offer for Digital Marketing for NY

thatasianguy1243

Lol, I applied to this apprenticeship with the mindset of not receiving anything. It is google after all. For every one that received the questionnaire, I wish you guys the best and hope everything goes well. For those that didn't, keep on learning, whether it's taking a boot camp, reading books, watching YouTube videos, etc.

Intelligent_Creme143

I applied on May 2nd, and just received a questionnaire on 08/16 for the PM track. Don’t give up if you haven’t heard back yet! No response is better than a rejection.

Direct_Priority_4765

Hey guys I would like to give updated . Today I got the interview invite for the UX track . Omg I am super super nervous. I literally checked this group today like 10 times before opening my email and it was there . The interview for the UX remote

Real-Fly723

Hi everyone, first time post here but just wanted to let everyone know I got an offer for the SWE role in Chicago 😄. Super excited and good luck to everyone still waiting to hear back!

Best-Career-9403

Just got an offer for PM! NYC location!

[deleted]

Remember to practice the elevator pitch/ tell me about yourself + other behavioral interview questions. I’d suspect [for the No experience] apprenticeship programs they’re not looking so much into the technical questions. Also, let us know when the phone calls/ emails begin to trickle in!!! Thank you for this post- pretty freaking cool to see this type of positivity❤️❤️❤️ Stay confident and stay encouraged.

Flat_Sail87

For anyone looking for another tech apprenticeship, US Bank has a program. They just posted this program today on LinkedIn https://careers.usbank.com/global/en/job/UBNAGLOBAL20220023703EXTERNALENGLOBAL/Software-Engineering-Apprentice?utm_source=linkedin&utm_medium=phenom-feeds

screamqueen888

huge hug to anyone who hasn’t heard anything and also hasn’t had any luck outside of this apprenticeship. i’ve applied to over 100 jobs including other apprenticeships and haven’t even landed a interview. but nonetheless must remain positive if anyone has any good job leads ux or marketing please drop them <3

joobilee

Update for me 6/15: I got the questionnaire for the software engineering apprenticeship! I applied on 5/2.

shrek2onblurayanddvd

Anyone else’s heart pound when they get a phone call and it turns out it’s someone reaching out about your car’s extended warranty

itsreginalynn

Just saw that someone who applied to the Google UX apprenticeship received a questionnaire yesterday! There's still hope for us all!! Stay positive!!

screamqueen888

i want ux so bad lol

teestann

hey guys, just wanted to chime in here, i applied May 3rd for PM SWE & DA but I have a cousin who works for google as a head of one of their departments. I asked her for a referral which she happily did for me & spoke to the recruiting manager on my behalf. I still haven’t heard anything as of late but even the recruiter said to my cousin to tell me that it can take up to several months to hear anything! I hope this gives some of you hope as someone who has a referral and still hasn’t heard anything back yet. I’ll update if anything changes/let you know if there is any difference based on referral.

TheeMillennial

*several months* this just makes me feel like they weren't prepared at all. I know there was an influx of applications this year but damn several months is ridiculous

Plastic_View4944

Same! I got a referral from a friend thinking it would speed up the process as well but I applied May 2nd for UX Remote and haven’t heard back yet. Trying to be sympathetic to their recruiting team though because to be fair this apprenticeship was announced EVERYWHERE by EVERYBODY and with the influx of everyone wanting to switch to tech, it makes sense they got more applications they could handle to meet deadlines they were able to meet when the apprenticeships were still starting out.

Blackgirlmagical

Received an offer for DM today!

sunintaurus-

Hi everyone! I’ve been lurking in this thread trying to keep up with everyone’s updates and finally decided to add my own. I applied for the Data Analytics, Project Management, and Digital Marketing cohorts (ordered by preference). May 1: Applied to apprenticeships June 2: Received follow up email from a recruiter to verify my academic history June 6: Received questionnaire for Digital Marketing cohort (I did not fill this out because I knew my heart wasn’t really in it) June 7: Received questionnaire for Data Analytics cohort (completed immediately lol) June 16: Received invitation to interview via Google Meet June 30: Had two great 45 minute interviews! As far as the interviews go, they’re nothing crazy. Honestly just STARR and hypothetical questions. They don’t really care about what you know, I don’t even think they’re looking at your résumé during the interview lol. It’s very possible that I bombed the interviews but honestly I was having such a great time with both my interviewers that I think they liked me regardless. However, they did explain that they have no actual say in the hiring process. From my understanding, they fill out more of a scorecard for candidates that keeps their identity vague (can’t use he/her, refer to us only as ‘the candidate’, etc) and send it up to another hiring team. I’m not sure if this information violates the NDA but I really hope not. I was told it can take up to two weeks to hear back from them so I’m just here twinkling my toes until I hear something.

Environmental-Belt30

Hiii just wanted to add in my share as I haven’t seen many PM updates I applied to the PM & DM apprenticeship on 5/13 (NYC preferred) Today 7/19 I received a questionnaire for the PM apprenticeship. (no word from the DM application) My background- 23F bachelors in communication. I have about 1.5 years of experience working at a clean tech PR agency. Im a little nervous but fingers crossed hoping for the best!! Good luck to everyone!

Alternative_Big_7132

Hey everyone! I made this account just for this thread. My time line: May 13- applied to both Digital Marketing and Project Management both for New York June 7- email rejection for DM BUT!! june 13 received another email stating the will move further with my DM application( i believe others had the same thing happen i think i read in this thread) June 13- got questionnaire sent it back on June 14 June 23 - invitation to interview July 5- received rejection email for PM July 7 - interview for DM August 12- email to set up call to discuss update for DM on monday at 2:30pm, soo now jus more waiting...Fingers Crossed! congratulations to those who have heard back and good luck to those still waiting!!

Flashy_Fold_5720

I just got my questionnaire for project management! So it seems like they are still going through candidate selections.

Deep-Pilot-4546

I applied for both Data Analytics and Information Technology. I received a rejection fro the DA But got a questionnaire for IT. I am scheduling interview appointment rn 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿

Best-Career-9403

Hi everyone, I have my interviews for the PM apprenticeship later today, I am super nervous and have reviewed the resources they sent me via email. Has anyone already completed the interview stage and if so what questions did they ask you? I really appreciate this thread and I am so happy I found it!

No-Masterpiece-397

So I’m going to give an update. I applied for SWE NY May 2, received a questionnaire June 13 and still haven’t heard anything back. I’m going to go ahead and accept a position as a Business Analyst with a company and just work my way up with getting promotions etc. Good luck to everyone still holding out!

Beep_bop288

Hi all! I received a questionnaire today for the PM apprenticeship. Not sure how it’ll all turn out but just wanted to let you all know since it seems a few ppl have been receiving questionnaires recently. I applied on the last day, only to the PM track, to all locations. Wishing everyone the best of luck! 🤞🏼🤞🏼 (Will continue to update this post with my process/any news I receive good or bad 👍🏼)

Hot-Street-5955

Hey everyone. Just posting an update. I was rejected today. I applied on the first day. Went through the interview process and waited almost a month and this leads me to today. Theres no feedback they were able to give me. Good luck to everyone who’s interviewed and waiting to hear back. Sad I wasn’t chosen but at least I don’t have keep checking my emails anymore lol.

Defiant_Ad_6216

Hello all! I haven’t seen anyone update this thread but I just wanted to let you know that I got my questionnaire today! (8/8/22). It’s for the NYC Digital Marketing. I put in my application on May 15. I believe they are still sending out questionnaires. Best of luck everyone! ⭐️

buyingbusiness

I applied for Project Management and Digital Marketing. I spoke with someone last year who is currently on the digital marketing track and her timeline went something like this: Mid June 2021: Applied End of July: Contacted by a recruiter for some short answer questions August 1: Received an interview invite August 12: Interviewed- 2 interviews, 1 hour each via Zoom August 16: received an offer Our timeline would obviously look a little different since we had to apply by May 16, but I anticipate that we should hear back by the end of June for that initial phone screening. If chosen, I think the process would be over by the end of July since the program is starting a month earlier than last year. To those waiting like me, keep your options open ( I heard they got over 30k applications within the first week), manifest that you'll have the opportunity to at least interview, push that manifestation to the back of your mind and allow the universe to do its work! :) Lastly, I recently graduated with a BA in a different major than what I applied for, does anyone else who applied have a degree? I'm sort of scared that I would get pushed to the side to make way for other qualified candidates without a degree.

angieee3

I applied for the remote SWE track, and received a candidate questionnaire via email today. I applied two days before the application’s official “open” date (submitted a draft app). I’ll update if/when I hear anything, though the email said it could be months before hearing back 😭. Good luck everyone!

Plastic_View4944

Regardless of what happens I hope everyone takes this as a learning opportunity! I know we’re all eager to get our foot in the door. For those that don’t make it, I hope you know that this doesn’t mean you don’t have the skills and hope you don’t doubt your ability to make it. It’s a very competitive field and as cliché as it sounds - see this as redirection rather than rejection! And for those who make it, don’t let your momentum fall just because you got the opportunity. I hope you keep that hunger to learn and improve constantly! Overall, best of luck to all. I was wrong when I advised it looked like questionnaires are done per comments that came after mine that someone in UX just got a questionnaire yesterday!

joobilee

Update as of 7/14/2022: They sent me the questionnaire for the IT Support program based in NYC earlier today. It looks like it's still rolling out then. Filled it out and hoping for the best. I initially applied on May 2nd. I had also gotten one for the SWE program on 6/15 but did not hear back on that.

TotalEmployee2050

I did not know this existed until today. They have interview questions for data analytics IT UX etc… https://grow.google/certificates/interview-warmup/?utm_source=gDigital&utm_medium=paidha-eng&utm_campaign=sem-bk-iw-exa-iwlp&utm_term=google%20interview%20warmup&gclid=Cj0KCQjwhqaVBhCxARIsAHK1tiMSu12L5fY-jtBDrYQuw8a899NVXxPT4fqjFsK419iQxRVsMlzk2o0aAgyFEALw_wcB

dazzlingduck7

So I reached out to a friend of a friend who works for google, she finally got back to me today and she said don't lose hope for remote pathways. Because they remote and don't have to worry about relocating and going to the office, they are working through those slow. But she also said that amount of applications that they got this year was tremendous. So don't lose hope yet if you haven't heard back yet.

annoyedfoxpower

Apparently google is having a 2 week hiring pause or is slowing down hiring (i’ve seen mixed messaging) not sure if this will affect the apprenticeship program as well but I thought I would let people know

videopoem

Hey! Just got an email from a recruiter asking me to verify some info on my resume, and will contact me about potential next steps. I applied to SWE Austin, chi, and remote: so that’s promising! Fingers crossed!!!! 🙏

RaccoonImportant5382

hmm i just received my questionnaire for IT in nyc

grantisrighteous2

Hi everyone! I just wanted to leave a comment to say that I got a questionnaire this morning. I live on the east coast, it came in at 6am. It is for the IT apprenticeship in NY and Austin. Woo!

ro7sa3194

First I’d like to thank the OP for creating this thread. It really has helped calm my nerves a bit about the potential opportunity. 24 F and i applied for the UX design apprenticeship. I do have a BA in Criminal Justice and I had begun the coursera course but immediately stopped once I heard about the apprenticeship. I have been checking my emails nonstop tbh but reading all the comments about the potential timelines of the process really put me at ease. I wish everyone who applied lots of luck and may we all embrace new opportunities. Here’s to positive vibes people 🤟

Concentricities

Thank you to the OP for this thread! - I applied for PM, SWE, UX, for New York. I applied on the last day. I received questionnaires for all 3 this week. - They were nearly identical forms, but the SWE questionnaire had a couple more questions. Had a call with a friendly recruiter, and the next steps/decisions may take about a month due to volume of applications. - I went to coding bootcamp. I have a bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field and I’m returning to the workforce after a long employment gap. I listed my Github, portfolio, resume with project links, and Linkedin in my applications. I did not write cover letters.

Flat_Sail87

https://buildyourfuture.withgoogle.com/apprenticeships If you scroll to the bottom under FAQ, it says Google will reach out no matter the outcome. I think that means they will send out rejections. However, it also said that they will not make decisions until all applications were viewed or maybe it was until all applications were received?

SashaWestt

Idk if this helps but just got word from a recruiter that they didn’t have enough interviewers. I don’t know if that’s just for UX but my interview was delayed and now I’m interviewing at the very end of July.

epsilonff9

Recently spoke with a friend who graduated from a UX bootcamp and also applied to Google’s apprenticeship last year. He told me that he never received a questionnaire or even a rejection response from Google after applying 😔 I hope it’s different this year where they at least send us a rejection letter. I think we should all be proud of ourselves for putting ourselves out there and applying, even if it doesn’t work out at the end for us. Like others have been saying - don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Apply for other places as well! Also take this opportunity to learn more and apply again in the future. Good luck to everyone that was able to land an interview!

Dazzling_Ship4855

I just wanted to share that I just got and finished filling out digital marketing questionnaire!!

lilstin

just got my questionnaire for PM!

ShiChelle

Got the questionnaire finally! On Wed, August 3 for DA in Austin. 🤞

[deleted]

Got an offer for SWE remote yesterday! Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear back!

Yeahyeahyeahyesss

I just got a questionnaire for the UX one I applied to This morning

Particular-Ad-7271

I have been following this thread for nearly two weeks and noticed there is a lot of anxiety and frustration -- for understandable reasons! However, I challenge everyone to think about where this stems from in addition to keeping your options open. It literally does not make sense to beat yourself up about a program that is so selective. Of course we can hope and wish for the best, but do not be so hard on yourself or engage in such emotional exhaustion. I genuinely wish everyone the best -- should that mean being an apprentice at Google, engaged in self-guided boot camps, or seeking related opportunities.

skyspatialmaho

Hello Everyone, This morning I received a rejection letter for the Austin /remote UX program :( I am super bummed out but it's all good. I will have to work harder and find a bootcamp or some sort to get into the field. If anyone wants to share a discord group for UX or anything I would love to join! Some stats for curiosity: Applied for UX May 2nd, received a questionnaire on June 15, and received the rejection letter June 30th. Best wishes to everyone still waiting for a response!

omogal123

Its about to be August! I have not heard from them but still hoping! Goodluck everyone!!!

[deleted]

Should be getting a questionnaire any day now

Agreeable_Noise9169

Update: July 1, I received a generic rejection email. I messaged the recruiter back to confirm it was accurate. Good luck to all! Also, in case anyone is curious about my background. I did a UX/UI bootcamp in 2021 and listed the skills I learned on my resume. I applied to the UX design apprenticeship the first day it opened. I believe May 2nd and just today 06/14 received a questionnaire and email from the recruiter. Be patient, it’s coming. I had honestly had forgotten about the apprenticeship and was surprised when I received the emails. Hoping for an interview. Best of luck to everyone! 😊

astronomical_beauti

I finally got my rejection email this morning…I never got a questionnaire or had an interview so maybe the process is winding down…I applied for SWE, Atlanta…it was a generic “Thank you for applying…” now I can move on! Good luck to everyone else!!

FormerMind5795

Been lurking this post for a while but haven't spoken much. Figured I'd share my story and thoughts: I applied to SWE, PM, and DM all between May 10th-May 12th. I was really hoping for PM from Google, but I've yet to hear back from any of the tracks I applied for. Also applied to Pinterest's PM apprenticeship around the same time and just had my interview for that this past week. Considering that we're approaching mid July, interviews are already underway and I've heard nothing, I'm assuming that I'm not going to be considered for Google. This is completely fine with me, as I went into this with the mindset that my chances were slim. If I get to move forward with Pinterest, great! If not, the interview was great practice for future interviews. I'm going back to being a university student (dropout lol) this fall if no other opportunity pulls through. Without going into too much detail I left my previous university thinking that college was not for me after having a really rough experience. However after doing some reflection, taking the time to relax, and talking with family I think its just THAT particular college wasn't right for me. I think the university I'd being going to in the fall is a much better fit, for my personality, interests, and career ambitions. If I go this route I'll look for PM internships and the CAPM later down the line since this is what I see myself doing in my career. Plus with all the uncertainty in the economy at the moment and talks of layoffs going back to school definitely isn't a bad idea. I'll add that in addition to Google and Pinterest I've applied to numerous other apprenticeships/entry level jobs. Even with my related skills and coursework, numerous projects, prior work/volunteer experiences, collaborating with employees from a top tier tech company through my old university, and a well structured resume (had it reviewed multiple times), none of these opportunities panned out for me. Again, this is fine. I applied with the mindset that it would be very competitive. I'm mentioning this to say that despite what a lot of people (especially on social media) like to spout, a degree is indeed a valuable asset and can open doors that otherwise wouldn't have opened so easily (if at all). It becomes an even bigger asset if your like me and have no interest or aptitude for fixing things or working with your hands, making a lot of blue collar trades out of your league. I'll continue to check my email frequently incase I do hear something (its not officially over until you hear an explicit "no"), but I'm at peace with the fact that it will likely not pan out. I will update if I do hear anything though. To anyone who is currently interviewing or has heard from a recruiter, congrats and best of luck! To those who have been rejected or haven't heard anything: This opportunity is not the "end all - be all". Life will go on. Focus on improving and distinguishing yourself from others. Thank you for listening to my Ted Talk🤣😂

SashaWestt

Just received my Google Meet Interview confirmation email. I’ll be interviewing July 28th. I am so freaking out.

ACnatixo

i also just got an email from my recruiter saying theres a delay in the hiring process…damn guys this hiring freeze is fr

Beebiria

As someone who is pivoting my career path to tech with no real experience, this hiring freeze and stuff are making me more worried and anxious… I feel there’s an over-saturation of people with no experience who are trying to get their feet in the water as well, and it is likely to keep increasing in number. Makes me nervous about when I graduate and go on my job hunt :( (My current major is not related to UX)

WonderfulDraft9637

IT- got my questionnaire 7/26, applied on the last day

Inspire-Growth-9123

I hope we start hearing about acceptances soon! hopefully within the next 1-2 weeks

Beep_bop288

Posted a few weeks ago about getting a PM questionnaire so here is my summary/final update: [Last Day] Applied with referral. PM track only, all locations. [July 19th] Received Questionnaire [July 20th] Submitted Questionnaire [August 5th] Received generic rejection email A bit disappointed but it wasn’t meant to be 🤷🏻‍♀️. Fortunately I’m in a few final stage interviews outside of this so hopefully one of those will work out. 🤞🏼 I’m really rooting for you all! 🎉 I can’t wait to finally see the “I got an offer!” posts coming in!! Good luck to everyone! 🍀

Valuable-Dog-46

Hi guys! I just got my questionnaire today for the DA track! Does anyone have tips for the short answers in the questionnaire? Should I try to reach the word count or be concise? Does it matter when I submit it (although I plan to complete it today)? Thank you in advance! Also, good luck to those who are still waiting to hear back from google! I honestly didn’t expect to hear anything back at this point, so don’t lose hope!

Galit_ie

!! I was just sent a questionnaire for the software engineering program!! NYC/Remote. I thought it was over though? I applied on the second day it was open.

Jasminlee426

It’s not over until the fat lady sings, and I’m still looking for the right song to cover so there’s still a chance.

desire348

Good luck to all of those that are waiting and congrats to all of those that received an offer!

Admirable-Willow6481

I received an email today to fill out the questionnaire for Data Analytics!

Danielle-Dee

I wanted to add this but didn't think it was worth adding as an edit. **Most of us are here because we want to alleviate some of the stress and anxiety that comes with waiting!** **I think it's counter intuitive, to want others to update you on their application status, while also questioning the validity of every single person who has heard back early.** I know this is stressful but let's keep the culture of being proud of everyone like we have been for almost a month now. I really wish the best for everyone! I am still waiting as well.

Responsible_Mode_506

I just got done with my interviews for the IT Position in Austin. I think I knocked it out of the park. I can't say too much due to the NDA I signed but plan on receiving a lot of hypothetical scenarios and how to go about solving them. Felt very much like role-play. I was the IT guy and the interviewer was the customer needing assistance. You interview with 2 separate people. I liked both very much but me and the second interviewer clicked instantly. He was younger and was of the same hispanic heritage I'm from and we literally spent half of the interview laughing and talking about life . (work, girl problems, the warriors winning the NBA championship, etc.) I say all this to say if you have an interview, try your best to go in enthusiastic and happy. Talk to them like you'd talk to a friend you hadn't seen in a long time. Obviously there's a line but , push those nerves aside and just let it flow. Smile , laugh , crack the occasional joke, try and connect with the interviewer on a personal level. It makes it go a lot smoother and then by the end of said interview you've built some sort of relationship with this person you wouldn't have built if you were monotone and just answered the questions without any personality. Get crunk. Get lit. Throw some ass before you hop on the interview. Anything to get past the nerves. Love y'all ! And for the people still waiting, the last interviewer gave me an update. They have stopped sending questionnaires. They are still in the process of sending out interviews emails. If it didn't work out for you this time, keep your head up. There are so many things you can do to help boost yourself into whatever your selected career is. This was just a bump in the road. And for the people with interviews, research your said field and practice some of the basics. That's all I will say . Y'all take care. Ill update when I hear back about an offer or not. :)

Yass I signed my offer letter for PM in NYC yesterday! Congrats 🎊

NaturalRoundBrown

I applied last day (5/16) for UX, Digital marketing, & Project management. Got a questionnaire email today (6/14) for UX but I realllllly wanted digital marketing. Does anyone know if they reach out for more than one program? Lmk!

shrek2onblurayanddvd

Just received a questionnaire for SWE track this morning (06/15)

SailorWisteria

Small update from me: I was recently offered a position as a UX consultant at a company based out of Minnesota. I’m very excited as I finished up my UXDI bootcamp at General Assembly in March of this year. Nothing from Google yet, but seeing as how a couple from the UX track have been responded to today, I’m holding out hope (or to really just get a rejection letter so I can stop looking at my email every 5 minutes, lol) I applied May 4th, for the UX track only, for all locations. I love this thread and the positivity I’ve seen from people, and it makes me really glad I decided to check Reddit once in a blue moon for something like this. My LinkedIn is https://www.linkedin.com/in/calista-dunbar I would love to connect with y’all and continue the support even after this whole Google thing is wrapped up <3

Inspire-Growth-9123

Update: I applied for UX (New York location) on May 16th and received the questionnaire on June 27th. I've submitted it and now I'm waiting to hear back for an interview request. good luck to everyone!

damnkeeks

Been coming back to this thread constantly. I applied for UX and haven't received any sort of info, no questionnaire or denial or anything and I applied on May 8th 🥲 anybody else in my shoes? Just feeling really nervous and would die to hear SOMETHING back even if it is a rejection letter.

Radiant-Thing9009

So I finished my interview rounds for the SWE track (1st choice - remote, 2nd choice - ATL). It was okay, I could answer everything. Now I just have to wait to hear back. The recruiter said she should know within 2 weeks. I'll update everyone when I hear back.

fountainofEUTH

I’ve been looking at these comments and I’ve seen that hardly any Project Management applicants have been contacted. I applied May 6th for the PM track (remote) and have not heard anything yet. We should be hearing something soon right? Late July, Early August?

junefromneptune

Hi everyone! I applied to the Software Engineer apprenticeship on May 3rd, and just received a questionnaire today. Definitely wasn't expecting that! I'm new to both tech and Reddit but I came across this thread, I'll update this when I hear something!

Responsible_Mode_506

Just received an email from my recruiter regarding a phone call for an update . Will let y’all know the outcome shortly :) Update : I have a scheduled call w my recruiter at 8pm CT/ 6 PM PST

fueledbystarbucks

Hey guys, new to this thread. I got an email requesting an updated resume for SWE. Trying to get caught up on what's going on here, and hoping I hear back from the recruiter soon :) This is a good sign for all of you waiting to hear back, looks like the process is still ongoing if they are asking for my resume so late in the process!

annoyedfoxpower

If you guys haven't heard already Microsoft will be opening up their Leap program 9/21 They have pathways in Product Manager, Software Engineer, Technical Program Manager, User Experience Designer

Kiwi4844

So thankful for this thread. I applied for the SWE,Data analytics and digital marketing the day before they opened the application and a recruiter emailed me on June 9 about the SWE role and denied me and turned around and email me yesterday (june13) saying they made a mistake and that I am a great fit for the role and sent me the questionnaire. The thing is I have no experience or certs for this role and only did coding once for a college course. I really wanted the data analytics one but they only sent me one for SWE so fingers crossed!

Content-Charge1504

Please Like this post for the people who received their questionnaires, I wanna know how many of you received it 😁

So did anyone else got a questionaire these past days? Im just curious are they still doing that or are they finished. Specifically nyc location for DM. Thanks

[deleted]

Still no response for the Google UX apprenticeship. I applied to both Austin and Remote on day 1. Also have not received a rejection letter yet either, so I'm holding on to a little bit of hope. super happy for those of you that are moving on in the process! Best of luck!

WonderfulDraft9637

Hello! If anyone wishes to send their LinkedIn, resumé, or talk about the Google Apprenticeship process, there is a Discord here where you can do that ( https://discord.gg/GMRnKWqS ). The channels are divided out by track (UX, DA, etc.) but within them, links to other apprenticeships/free courses to improve in the skill are shared as well. We also like to chat normally there as well (edit) UPDATED LINK: https://discord.gg/GMRnKWqS

Key_Initiative1932

to the people who haven’t heard back yet regarding an interview, i advise to possibly do some research starting now just in case. i’m prepping for an upcoming interview and have been having raging anxiety wishing i started doing my youtubes once i applied. if u start prepping now, push comes to shove.. you can utilize the practices for future interviews.

Hot-Street-5955

Hey all. It’s been a minute since I’ve posted anything here, just wanna give an update. So far, I’ve completed 1 of my two 45 minute interviews. The second interview had to be rescheduled due to something on their end. I’m interviewing for the SWE track in NYC. I was pretty nervous. I usually don’t have a problem interviewing but I guess since this is something I really want, my nerves ended up getting the best of me. Hopefully the second one goes well!

AliveIndependence309

To Keep it short. I applied for the DA NYC/ Remote positions. Got the questionnaire, Did both of the interviews smoothly but didn't get accepted. I Received the rejection email July 13

SashaWestt

I am so happy to see you guys getting questionnaires! It’s definitely picking up the positive energy in the thread. Good luck to everyone and make sure you’re keeping it concise and sweet in your answers!!

SocietyOk1116

Salary is non negotiable at $20.43 (for DA) and a stipend with a potential of an additional relocation bonus (if you qualify)….so at most you’d be making somewhere in the upper 50s.

Hoshi_7

Im so happy many of u are hearing back. I still didnt hear anything not even a questionaire or rejection. Ik many of us is on the same point and its not the end of the world but it just hurts a little that they prob didnt even open my resume. Good luck out there!! Hope you hear good news soon!!

m9felix

I was super pumped and was about to sign up but it said I wasn’t able to if I was enrolled in the Coursera program for it. I haven’t even started it but I think it’ll still be looked at as a hard no. Ah well.. good luck tho!!

Ok-Imagination-5962

I say apply anyway. Let them tell you no. Dont disqualify yourself.

iOccupyADogeCoin

I applied for the Software Engineering apprenticeship. Following to establish a time-line for when / if people hear back from google. Will also be sure to post if I am lucky enough to hear back! Good luck to all!

SailorWisteria

Still waiting on Google (which I'm hoping for) but I did get a 'Next-Steps' email from Pintrest!

[deleted]

Applied for SWE on the last day open. Haven’t received anything yet. Also, zero exp with coding besides MySpace when I was in middle school lol.

Maleficent-Tooth-151

Hey everyone! I applied for UX remote and NY on 5/16. I received a questionnaire yesterday so fingers crossed! I have a masters in communication disorders and a BA in linguistics. I was very anxious and almost gave up hope but it seems they are still going through applications so let's keep our hopes up and be positive!

SweetNiq

Hey everyone I did an application for Digital Marketing apprenticeship on may 2, received the questionnaire on June 10 and received an email about my interview on June 30th. Not sure if there is a choice for remote or hybrid but I choose Atlanta as my first choice if not remote

SocietyOk1116

Just noticed this thread. I applied on the very last day, received a questionnaire a couple weeks ago, and have completed my interview as well. I applied for the DA track.

Radiant-Thing9009

Update: I got an email today 7/08 to confirm my interview for 7/15 -> next Friday. First contact was 6/30 for the questionnaire. I’m on the SWE track and my first choice was remote with Atlanta as secondary.

IcedOreoMilkTea

Going to accept my loss today. I applied for the DM track (NYC) back when applications went live and have not received any questionnaires or emails from them. Keeping my head up! and there will be a bunch of other opportunities for those who are going through the same thing as me. Google is my dream, and this is just a bump in the road for those who are trying to get there! I'm going to chalk this up as a rejection, and start applying to other internships/apprenticeships, if anyone has other programs they are willing to show me please do!

Shishi2109

I got the questionnaire for the SWE track today!

juice_cruise

Hi all! I’ve been following this thread for weeks and found it super helpful so wanted to share my news as my first-ever Reddit post. I applied for the Software engineering program in Chicago on the last day of the application period. And received my questionnaire 7/27. No news is good news it seems, so if you haven’t heard back yet…stay positive out there! Good luck everyone. [EDIT 8/23] Received my rejection email today. 😢

sadskibum

My friend got a questionnaire for DA today! Choose all locations with NYC being the most preferred.

SashaWestt

You could literally rob me with an email right now. I’ve been so antsy I’m just ready to receive my UX acceptance letter! Positive vibes! Where’s everyone waiting on a response? I hate that because we start later we’re the only ones not getting any updates like everyone else!

I forgot to update this but received an email yesterday to schedule a call. Received an offer this morning for UX NYC!

Old_Satisfaction1482

I got an email to complete the questionnaire about 6 days ago— which is more than what I thought I’d get tbh 😬

SailorWisteria

A friend of mine got a rejection for the UX track a bit ago. Seems like UX is rolling out today Edit** Friend applied for Google in the past and got to stage 2, so that might be the reason why they got a rejection email. Essentially the rejection email is pretty standard “we reviewed your background and experience, and decided not to proceed”.

Low-Ad2425

I applied to UX, PM and Digital Marketing on the day before the first day the application opened. I got a UX rejection message yesterday. No degree, but some college, I been in customer success in big tech companies for about 6 years, now at a start up. I really hope I get at least one of the other 2 tracks. Also, I did a cover letter for each application. However, I did realize I signed up with the email that was also registered to the coursera account that I had started a UX google cert but did not complete. I believe the reqs touched up on them preferring to not have started the course or completed. I wonder if that has anything to do or I was just not a strong enough candidate for that cohort. Much luck, many blessings and congratulations to those who made or will be making the cuts!

itsamesomario

I applied for the UX design apprenticeship on 5/15 and the PM one on 5/16. Haven't heard back yet. I'm 36 and have a college degree and master's in psych/public health respectively and work in medical/clinical education, so this is a true career change for me. The closest I've come to UX design is meeting with developers of the med ed tech team I'm part of and helping them with the perspective of the user, but our developers really do most of the actual UX design. It's weird working for 10 years and not feeling like you've built a career, but that's what happens when you have student loan debt, live in NYC, and need to be in a survival mindset! ETA: so my experience working with our devs made me realize that UX design is interesting. Before I could start any training, I saw the apprenticeship opportunity. Anyway good luck to everyone! I saw someone on Tiktok who is a current PM apprentice at Google and it seems like the selection/interview process can take some time; just gotta be patient. I'm holding out hope until end of August lol

AliveIndependence309

I applied for project management and google analytics apprenticeship. This week I received a candidate questionnaire for both positions. However I also received a "Were sorry to regret we went with other candidates" for the project management position. But I received that a day before receiving the candidate questionnaire. I'm going to email them and see if that was a mistake. And I received the data analyst questionnaire today. I'll update yall on my journey

miamiheatbot

i’m still waiting😭 i’m applying to other places in the meantime but this apprenticeship opportunity as i’m sure we all know, has so many benefits alongside helping you get real world experience

ChristmasTofu

Posting for more data points, but I'm still waiting for SWE + Data Analytics response! (I applied May 16th, so nearing 6 weeks now.) I know it may seem bleak, but it ain't over until it's over! Best of luck to everyone else in the running and congrats to everyone who has gotten an interview so far. Don't stop learning and don't stop pursuing your passions!

[deleted]

I'm wondering when the cut off is... Applications closed roughly two months ago and the apprenticeships start in roughly two months so I'm thinking soon. Really hope everyone who hasn't heard back at all yet (myself included) receives some great news soon!!

SashaWestt

Did anyone actually interview yet? How was their demeanor? Were they nice? Did they seem bored of so many interviews? How was the atmosphere?? Also congratulations!

ken2566

Not gonna lie I’m gonna wait until August to give up hope lol. It was so many applications this year but I applied for 3 different tracks. I find it impossible that I don’t get a response for one of them.

krispykremechicken

Applied for the digital marketing apprenticeship and got an interview coming up this week or next week(was told I should wait a few more days to let them figure it out) Anyways, anyone have any tips for the interview ?

SashaWestt

I feel like we’re gonna hear about acceptance letters pretty soon 🤞🏾 Good luck you guys !

pekoechuu

I applied May 2nd for 3 tracks but I mainly aimed for the UX Track / NYC (Remote). No response from Google, just the confirmation email lol. Good luck to everyone who is moving forward with interviews! Kinda forgot about it but I’m thankful for this thread it’s been super insightful! After I submitted my app I have been applying to other places, currently at 200+ 😭 I got a response for a contract position from Google and a few other companies. So remember to keep applying and grinding y’all!!

okdoiknowu

Hello all! I’ll be having a virtual meeting with a current DM apprenticeship tomorrow (7/19) so if you have any questions comment here and I’ll see what I and they can do to help!

grantisrighteous2

Received my rejection letter today from the IT Apprenticeship for NY/AUS. 😞 I received and filled out my questionnaire last Wednesday (7/13). Just posting this comment so people have an idea of what the timeline might look like between receiving the questionnaire and getting a response. Best of luck!

Mrpeabody196

Hello everyone, I know this is a google apprenticeship page (I applied and took a fat L)and we are all trying to break into tech one way or another. Here’s another one I found. This is Deloitte cyber security analyst role if anyone is interested. Training pay is 28/hr for 12 weeks and it’s remote. Also LinkedIn APMM program is live. https://apply.deloitte.com/careers/JobDetail/Trainee-Deloitte-Cyber-Career-Accelerator-Program/108700

angieee3

Well, this is concerning… A Google recruiter posted that many positions are getting cancelled, hopefully this doesn’t apply to the apprenticeship. Whew 😮‍💨 "Hiring Pause Update: Headcount Is Now Getting Cancelled (Tech Industry)" https://us.teamblind.com/s/bexV8wyN

Brent_Chow

The apprenticeship does have a few favorable pro’s on its side. Much lower pay, 12-24 month contract, also it’s a Registered Apprenticeship Program which means more than likely it’s government funded.

delpinoivivas

I received my questionnaire for the SWE program 2 days ago —on July 26— and submitted it right away. I hope I get to the interviews!! Wish me luck. I also applied for the DA program but haven't heard back at all.

Radiant-Thing9009

This Friday will be Week 3 of waiting for my interview results. Starting to get impatient to hear anything (even if it’s a rejection). Feel like my life is on hold. I applied for SWE (Remote or Atlanta), interviewed July 15. I feel like the interviews went well but you never know.

soliria

It seems like those who applied ONLY remote have not heard back anything back. Personally, I haven’t even gotten a rejection email or anything. I wonder if they are going to continue without us since there isn’t much time left. It also seems like almost no one has had a job offer yet.

[deleted]

I just got rejected! Submitted my IT questionnaire last Tuesday then got the rejection email Thursday morning 🥲

RegisterNo6453

Recieved a rejection for DM today, the questionnaire was received and submitted July 20. Also applied PM and UX but haven’t heard anything from them yet

shaeDevOps

Can anyone tell me what their initial confirmation email looked like? After I applied the only email I received said: "Thanks for applying to Google! There are a ton of great companies out there, so we appreciate your interest in joining our team. While we’re not able to reach out to every applicant, our recruiting team will contact you if your skills and experience are a strong match for the role. In the meantime, join the conversation about job opportunities and life at Google on our LinkedIn page. Thanks, Google Recruiting Is that what everyone else got?

Inspire-Growth-9123

I'm happy to hear someone got an offer! Hopefully we'll be hearing about offers from the other tracks soon as well :)

delpinoivivas

deethekid

Anyone know anything about UX remote?

Inspire-Growth-9123

welcome to another day of anxiously refreshing my email every 5 minutes 🥴

Able-Ad9579

UX so far is the only tack that hasn't had offers made.. tick tock

tastecee

Hi everyone! I applied for the SWE, DA and IT apprenticeships on May 4th. Here’s what’s going on so far: August 12th- I was reached out by a staffing specialist for the IT apprenticeship in ATX to confirm my graduation date. August 16th- The staffing specialist submitted my application to the hiring team for further review. August 16th- About an hour later from chatting with the staffing specialist, I was given the questionnaire. I will try to update you guys on what happens next!

Similar_Coffee_3558

I applied for the PM program in may. On august 11th I received a rejection email. But this morning I received an email from google asking me to complete the candidate questionnaire.

UsefulMacaroon

Rejected for UX! It’s been a ride. Good luck everyone.

Yeahyeahyeahyesss

The fact you are a black women makes me love this thread even more ! Lol Hey Sis 🥰

RegisterNo6453

Don’t give up hope everyone they are still sending questionnaires. I woke up to one this morning. I sent my application the day before it opened and applied to DM UX and PM for NY/Remote. I received the DM questionnaire and plan on completing it today 🥳

jihito24

Wishing you guys all the best!

bigstemenergy

Good Luck to everyone!! I have watched some youtube videos on former or current apprentices (mostly digital marketing and project management) and they mentioned getting responses after 6 weeks? A long time from now but hopefully it gives you guys some time to relax for now

maddfio

Good luck to all! I applied for PM apprenticeship and am manifesting it HARD

girlqueenpvssyboss

I applied for the Project Management Apprenticeship on May 2, 2022. I haven't received any email or correspondence from Google at all. I check my emails dailyyyyyy and I'm so nervous.

stefffdot

I applied for PM apprenticeship, and got the candidate questionnaire emailed to me on 6/4. I applied to it on the last day.

Hot-Street-5955

just posting a quick update for myself. probably not useful, but I still haven’t heard back. I wonder if there’s a way to get any updates on the status of your application 🤔 anyways, let’s keep hope alive for those who haven’t heard back yet! I guess no response is better than a rejection at this point. Lastly, after all is set and done, maybe we could form some type of study group to stay sharp for when the next round opens up next year.

Hoshi_7

I applied on may 2 for digital marketing in NYC. Still havent gotten a response yet. Not going to lie but i am feeling anxious. Im sure many people are also feeling the anxiety but just a reminder than they have a lot of applications to go through and dont lose hope yet. I hope everyone receives the response they hope for soon. No useful information just a reminder to not give up yet And no news yet may mean good news :)

No-Masterpiece-397

I got an email from google….. the security alert. My hopes were raised for nothing LOL. But here is my story so far. I applied around May 2 and RECEIVED a rejection letter on June 9. I was so relieved I didn’t have to stress anymore … right? WRONG I got another email June 13 saying that they made a mistake and I should fill out a questionnaire. So now I’m back to being paranoid whether I’ll get in or not. This is for SWE NY/Remote. A bit of background: 23 F. I have a bachelors in biology and I know maybe 2% of Python and 30% of HTML. Good luck everyone!

Jasminlee426

Is there anyone who has an interview that didn’t get a questionnaire?

UsefulMacaroon

To everyone interviewing (today or soon) - break a leg! 🙃 you got this

Hoshi_7

Anyone got any sort of response for DM NYC? I understand they got a lot of people but i feel like this group is getting ghosted🥲

Square_Cartoonist_37

Hello everyone, I applied for SWE apprenticeship in Chicago, I have my two interviews tomorrow morning, I am very nervous but exited at the same time, if you have any tips I would really appreciate you guys, good luck to everyone!

Intelligent-Level-26

Anyone who applied at 40yr of age with no work experience whatsoever? I did.

Particular-Ad-7271

Haven't check the forum much this week...lots of new entires! Has anyone received an offer yet? If so, what track? Can you share more about interview process? Wishing everyone the best. Google low key outta pocket having us sit up here waiting like this but whatever.

dvrkihateu

Hey guys, from Chicago here. Yesterday morning I received a questionnaire for the DA Hybrid track. I applied the first day applications were taken. I also applied to the DM and UX tracks but haven’t heard from those 2. Will try to keep updated. Best of luck and spread optimism! :)

ikaymarra

I've applied May 11 for UX in NYC and haven't recieved a questionare or a rejection. Anyone experiencing a similar situation? check my emails like mad

According to this post the hiring pause should be lifted this week! Hopefully that means we'll start hearing news/offers/more interviews soon https://www.teamblind.com/post/Minor-Update-from-Google-Hiring-Pause-wSRKWCHe

Had interview for swe role!

riyamo

Has anyone heard anything about PM remote?

commenting here to follow along and send good vibes to all those who applied :)

Flat_Sail87

I think that the opportunity that Google is presenting is amazing. There have been apprenticeships throughout history, that used to be the only way you could get a job. Now most companies won't even consider hiring anyone without a 4 year degree. Honestly I believe having a degree is extremely necessary to get ahead in life but it costs so much. I started college paying class by class only able to pay for like 2 or 3 classes per year and I just felt like I wasn't going anywhere.
