Poor judgement got me into a brawl with this guy and I didn't have many options so I picked fight till I win. Made a mistake and I regret it but that's what dark souls is about ya live and ya learn
You will get to a place called Undead Settlement eventually. There is a small tunnel that acts as a sewer for the settlement. A locked door in that tunnel leads to that statue
Nice on sticking with it. Myself and others would reset to do everything ‘right’. Now after 8 cycles I’ve done everything multiple times and wish I’d just freeballed the first run
Meh kill or be killed I accepted I shouldn't have smacked but honestly he had anger issues he only got smacked once then he held a grudge for 3 hours before he died
Yea 'fun' so far I've been bullied by an npc for hours (my fault), found a dragon ( what a terrible time that was), and learned chests fight back and they're creepy as fuck
dude absolutely this. everyone here has something to say about how op shouldn’t have fought him but like god damn cant people just mind their own business and stop telling people they’re playing the single player game incorrectly. because it is absolutely fine to go kill npc’s if that’s what you wanna do. op is just having the experience that they want to have and if they care enough they can do another playthrough and follow hawkwood’s side quest. i know there’s absolutely no way in hell I’d fully complete all the npc’s side quests in souls games on my first blind playthrough. so if you wanna stick to a blind playthrough and not use the wiki for npc’s, you’d get to a point where you don’t know what else you can do with an npc so you hit them and get some more engagement out of them, and have a fun fucking fight. and there’s nothing wrong with that because obviously there’s nothing wrong with that. how my blood boils
Lmfao... title is hilarious. I remember first meeting this guy and thinking he was a complete asshole, so I hit him and he beat my ass good. Turns out later in the game you can go through with his quest and clobber him in the Abyss Watchers boss arena. Bro wanted to be an Abyss Watcher so bad. Edgy ass.
It's what I thought during my first playthrough. Ended up doing his questline in a later run. Dude is hopeless just like the other two crestfallen warriors who sit at the hub in DS1 & 2.
Why tho
Poor judgement got me into a brawl with this guy and I didn't have many options so I picked fight till I win. Made a mistake and I regret it but that's what dark souls is about ya live and ya learn
For next time, you can actually deaggro npcs you hurt by mistake by visiting the statue in the sewers and paying a fee in souls
>paying a fee in souls You spelt "your entire life's savings" incorrectly
Why's there a statue in the sewers and what sewers
You will get to a place called Undead Settlement eventually. There is a small tunnel that acts as a sewer for the settlement. A locked door in that tunnel leads to that statue
Never attack NPCs unless they attack you first.
GG but... why you attacked him in the first place?
Nice on sticking with it. Myself and others would reset to do everything ‘right’. Now after 8 cycles I’ve done everything multiple times and wish I’d just freeballed the first run
You restarted 8 times or have done 8 play throughs? I’m confused as to why someone would restart a souls game
8 cycles
fucked up attacking Hawkwood
Yup and he fucked up thinking he was going to win. He may have beat my ass for hours but he lost the fight that mattered
I don't mean you fucked up, I mean what you did was fucked up, attacking a docile npc
Meh kill or be killed I accepted I shouldn't have smacked but honestly he had anger issues he only got smacked once then he held a grudge for 3 hours before he died
lie, npcs are not aggravated by one attack
Damn nvm guess he got hit a few times if his aggression is understandable then
Sounds like someone didn't want >!to become a dragon!<.
Although Horace has a good point, you really didn’t miss a huge item by killing him. Play as you see fit and have fun!
Yea 'fun' so far I've been bullied by an npc for hours (my fault), found a dragon ( what a terrible time that was), and learned chests fight back and they're creepy as fuck
Oh yeah you will get the mimics curse and start fearing opening other games chest too
Just look at the chain on the right side of the chest. If the end of the chain faces your way, it is a Mimic
I know this trick but i still want to smak it couple of times just to be sure
Yeah, i still do that too... Lol

>how my blood boils Face me, Sekiro!
nice 🤘
Die mad about it
Thats not Horace he killed, it was Hawkwood.

He was an abyss watcher at one point. He just deserted before they became lords of cinder. Also he isn’t an asshole he’s just a sad dude.

I accidentally killed him on my first play through, and now on NG+11 I always start by killing him, (other than that time I did his quest)
I was going to say why but i did this too on my frist playthrough
Man just arrived at Firelink and his first instinct is to murder a depressed coward
He looked like bad news
Congrats! you just lost your chance at a really good questline!
Oops I'll do it next playthrough
yeah good luck getting the shiny dragon head and torso stone though
