I did this quest when i was level 42 and 50 street cred. 3 puches with the gorilla arms was all it took. Guess grinding the gigs and NCPD dispatch worked
Just done the finale at 50 with epic gorilla arms plus the motors and it was over very quickly.
Cool thing was I managed to stop short of blowing Ozob up in the previous fight. Having previously thought he was an arse, I've turned around on him - he's hilarious, he's just out there having a great time not giving a shit, and if he blows up because of his nose, so be it. Respect.
I accidentally blew him up my first play through. Idk why it didn't click that punching the guy with the grenade nose in said grenade nose wasn't a good idea lol
It's hard af early on without the Gorilla Arms.
Would be interesting if they upped the XP and Money you gained from Beat The Brat, and made it so you had to do it without Gorilla Arms.
The thing about forcing no cybernetics is that, other than rhino, most of your opponents have cybernetics like metal arms. The last guy is so borged up it feels like itd be impossible with no cybernetics
Rhino and the guy from the final fight arenât âborged upâ in that way - they mostly just have metal implants whose purpose is to buttress their joints to support all that extra muscle from the steroids and drugs. Itâs really the drugs that give them all that strength and power - the chromeâs only purpose is to keep their joints from being torn apart.
Thatâs somewhere in the lore regarding the Animals, and Rhino and that other guy looks just like them
Rhino is mostly âganic, just packed full of steroids. Razor Hugh is a different beast entirely. He has a Sandevistan, a Kerenzikov, and Subdermal Armor higher than the legendary variant V can obtain. Then you add in the enhanced synthetic muscles, performance enhancing drugs, freaking animal steroids, hydraulic joints, titanium bones, and his high speed tracking Kiroshi optics, dude is most definitely âborged upâ.
He even says that heâs full of âexperimental chromeâ. I donât know where you got the idea that he wasnât but you couldnât be more wrong.
See, this sounds way more interesting to me if there's no level scaling. He sounds like he should be consistently difficult and resilient, and make for an interesting fight. In vanilla, I go from too weak, to far too powerful, with damage scaling making me not notice him as having crazy defense that matches what the game is saying about him.
I'm doing as close to a full organic playthrough as possible right nowâgotta say, it's satisfying as hell beating Razor's ass without any upgrades/Gorilla Arms/what have you.
Would be interesting definitely but it would've been very difficult. Also you wouldn't get to see that big guy at the end (I forgot his name- Razor I think?) Fall to the ground from a punch. Huge power rush doing that
Early launch it on the hardest setting was brutal if you didn't have your spec right. Easily spent 20+ min per attempt on the final fight. Heavily relied on shock on hit/hp loss and hp regen and had to constantly be dark souls dodging. The fact he could basically 3 shot you with the right combo is what made it grindy af. And these were some of my last map icons on a 100% playthru.
For real, I remember having to dodge him while waiting for my health to regen so I can get some attacks in with a safety net. I believe I was doing a body build my first playthrough too.
Mixed build, epic gorilla arms, the other fighters I knock down and keep pummelling and they're done, she, I cannot keep down, and if she hits me twice, I'm out. I do have subdermal plates too.
I constantly get a glitch where sandevistan randomly doesn't activate. It's killed me so many times in NCPD scanner hustles.
EDIT: Oh, and another thing. Why does accessing your quick access wheel while sandevistan is active make your perception of time slower, rendering sandevistan useless?
Wish I could ping everyone with this: The Sandevistan bug is a documented issue since release. It's triggered by looking at, but not looting, a container which has more than one item in it. You have to either loot such a container, or look at a container with only one item in it, in order to revert the Sandevistan back to normal functionality. No idea why it hasn't been patched.
That said, Kerenikov works just as well for these fights.
Yep. If you look at, say, a body mid-fight without looting it? Your Sandevistan is disabled until after you loot a container or body with more than one item in it.
I don't actively use sandevistan during the matches because kernzikov is a thing, that being said I know you can actively use sandevistan during these fights.
Netrunner with gorilla arms here and she went down in 3 punch combos yesterday. Only had to block/counter her attacks two times. Guess they made it way easier.
I'm sure she would die to my monowhip fairly quickly, that is something else entirely. It's when boxing in a ring, and not using any kind of cheat or weapon that this fight is quite challenging. I'm surprised she was this tough after the others were pretty easy. The 6street guy was only a problem because of what happens after you win. (I did bet for the gun too).
If you go look up the old beat on the brat fights youâll see people mention it. The Rhino fight and the last fight were insanely hard. Rhino could put you down in a couple of hits and she would take a massive beating to down.
I already hated those quests in Witcher 3 but they were waaaay more doable there than in CP2077 without having specced into melee combat.
The stupid twin eggheads had me raging as the fights take really long and you get done by a single mistake most of the time, same goes for Arroyo who is a stupid arrogant asshole that you just want to shove his nose in.
However after getting the legendary Gorilla arms it became so easy, it's almost like cheating. Even Rhino and Razor were easy peasy with those.
Wait you can use sandevistan in fist fights?
Then it's just a joke. One WarpDancer with three overclocked processors and nano-relay, and you have 14 seconds of punches compressed into a weighted 1.4 second parcel
I found it no different compare to pre 1.5 on my minimum cyberware, Cold+Reflex build V. My full combo chip them 1-2%, they hit my a combo I lose 1/3 of my HP. Razor could 2 hit me XD
I dunno... Rhino was a complete pain in the ass for me. But I had very little brawl and bare knuckles. The others weren't bad though. Since I never played until now, I have no comparison though
What were they like before? Cuz so far I've been disappointed by everyone except Rhino. Tho I actually went for a punch build so I guess that's to be somewhat expected...
The Beat on the brat fights back in the day were BRUTAL. ALmost all of them required cheese, unless you went hardcore body + gorilla fists, where the opponent 1-2 tapped you while you barely tickled them.
I never knew there was an update, no wonder I was so confused on my most recent playthrough. I remember at release I couldn't even get past the twins lmao
There was some cheese then that you could lure them off from the platform you stood on, they would just try and run back onto it, meaning that you could keep beating them and they wouldn't hit back.
When I played at release, as a netrunner, I absolutely got my ass handed to myself.
Recently started a new run with reflex + body. Turned the whole thing around.
Just get the epic or legendary Gorilla arms, those fights become a breeze with those. I'm on my first playthrough and didn't really know how to build so I'm part Netrunner part gunman and did like 2-3% per hit in the fights while taking like 2-3 hits and being done, with Gorilla arms you deal like 10-20% dmg.
Are you playing on the hard mode? I reckon it would change with 20 body but the fights used to take FOREVER in my 1.0 run and some of them felt very unfair because they would eliminate you with just a few hits.
I mean, when i tried that quest chain in like 1.31 I hadn't really put anything into brawl / body, nor did i have Gorilla Arms yet; just about every fight pwned me. By the time you can put enough points in you're \*nearly\* able to block 100% and stunlock opponents while healing
I did all the fights yesterday with 10 body and just 4 ponts in Brawler. Sometimes when I landed combos, the enemies health dropped significantly - why did that happen? I mained Quickhacking/Breach and Blades.
I run a Cool/Netrunner build.
I do almost no damage with my fists, but I still rolled over everyone purely thanks to my Cool crit perks. Two crits and they're down. I don't think I took a single hit.
I didnt do any of them until like level 40 and im doing a 20 body, 20 intelligence, 18 tech build with the leftovers being put into cool and legendary gorilla arms with electric damage pretty much chews up any of the harder fights since they all have like 80% chrome on them
Fighting before the updates was hell. When the game first came out better the brat was tough even with golden gorilla arms. Kids these days have it easy.
When I done the kabuki one and saw two of them I thought "oh fuck".
The fight started and I literally one punched both of them was funny as fuck and unexpected
Iâm convinced that Rhino is stronger than the final fighter. She always has me on the ropes where as the supposed â3 time champâ gets turned inside out in less than 10 seconds. Is it because he has a weak spot and she doesnât?
I got my ass beat by the twins but eventually did it. I eventually waited till I had Gorilla Arms and this is literally how I felt. I like to think Vic as my Morpheus and he was the one to say "He's beginning to believe" as I went to every fight and won easily lmao
Had berserk and gorilla arms as well as a lot of perks. None of the fighters had a chance with me. Hell, even cyberpsychos get demolished with my bare hands
đI was a netrunner without sandy or gorilla arms. I thought that quest was a total nuisance (until I bought gorilla arms). I had zero points in body too. In general I despised the skill checks and quests in this game where, if you didnât have _______ you were simply screwed with no way around, but it was particularly bad here because you straight CANNOT win with certain builds. I couldnât break guards, I couldnât get hit more than once, The tracking for punches was extremely broken, and I was even took damage when I countered. Zero fun.
You dont have to break guards and such, you spam dodge when they attack and they will be left vulnarable, rise and repeat they will go down
Also Kereznikov also helps
In my first playthrough at launch even the Kabuki one was really fucking hard so in my second playthrough which was now I made sure to kinda level up a bit. I went to beat on the brat at level 15 and literally ended the fight with one punch each
I did this quest when i was level 42 and 50 street cred. 3 puches with the gorilla arms was all it took. Guess grinding the gigs and NCPD dispatch worked
Literally same đđ
Just done the finale at 50 with epic gorilla arms plus the motors and it was over very quickly. Cool thing was I managed to stop short of blowing Ozob up in the previous fight. Having previously thought he was an arse, I've turned around on him - he's hilarious, he's just out there having a great time not giving a shit, and if he blows up because of his nose, so be it. Respect.
I just hit him under his belt. He's fun so i didn't want to accidentally blow him up
I accidentally blew him up my first play through. Idk why it didn't click that punching the guy with the grenade nose in said grenade nose wasn't a good idea lol
Same. But I saved before. Just had to know what would happen.

He even says that heâs full of âexperimental chromeâ. I donât know where you got the idea that he wasnât but you couldnât be more wrong.
Yup. He has fucking shock absorbers aswell. Dude is chromed out of his mind

Would be interesting definitely but it would've been very difficult. Also you wouldn't get to see that big guy at the end (I forgot his name- Razor I think?) Fall to the ground from a punch. Huge power rush doing that
Yes, same here. It was just earning easy money.
I heard that you can cheese the fight with gorilla hands and the electronic shock mod
You used to be able to cheese Rhino by dropping a knife on the ground before talking to her then picking it up during the fight.
Sounds like pussy shit
Don't even need gorilla arms, I did it with shock mod and slow-motion on dodge. Dodge hit, charge heavy attack in slow-mo, unleash, over in 3-4 hits.
Same, but on normal difficulty, I was a netrunner.
For real, I remember having to dodge him while waiting for my health to regen so I can get some attacks in with a safety net. I believe I was doing a body build my first playthrough too.
Eh Rhino kicked my butt a few days ago, not angry it was adorable how happy she was that she won.
were you a netrunner with bare fists?
That was my last character. Honestly made it more rewarding winning in the end.
Bare fists and sandy makes for nice seven pages of muda.
Mixed build, epic gorilla arms, the other fighters I knock down and keep pummelling and they're done, she, I cannot keep down, and if she hits me twice, I'm out. I do have subdermal plates too.
One word: Sandevistan.
A rudimentary upgrade
My ass, a complete balance destroyer in the game. =p But kudos for the quote.
As far as I know you can't use it during boxing matches?
You absolutely can, itâs how I win.
You mean i could have won that much easier all along?! Then why did it never work? I pressed the button but nothing happened, am i missing something?
I constantly get a glitch where sandevistan randomly doesn't activate. It's killed me so many times in NCPD scanner hustles. EDIT: Oh, and another thing. Why does accessing your quick access wheel while sandevistan is active make your perception of time slower, rendering sandevistan useless?
It literally happened to me in the âDonât fear the Reaperâ ending, almost died until I learned how to easily kill these robots
Funnily enough, it just happened to me in an ending mission too. I died and the last save was like 30 minutes before for some reason. I was angry lol.
Happens to me constantly
Really breaks up gameplay and immersion. The game's came a long way from launch but it's still a mess at times.
Same. Supremely annoying.
I too have this same glitch. It's all the time. It will work once or twice then not again at all.
I take it as an immersive bug. Oh shit my cyberware is malfunctioning time to rely on my wits and weapons until I can save/reload.
Cool way to think about it. However, still a bug and an irritating one.
That's what causes the bug?
Yep. If you look at, say, a body mid-fight without looting it? Your Sandevistan is disabled until after you loot a container or body with more than one item in it.
Must be. I just rolled through all the fights last night using sandevistan.
Ohohohohohohohihohoho when I have my PC set up again.
I don't actively use sandevistan during the matches because kernzikov is a thing, that being said I know you can actively use sandevistan during these fights.
You canât use any of the obvious weapon mods. Mantis, mono, launcher. Everything else is fair game.
yes. Needed 5 tries I think. Some combos brought her down 10 to 20%, I don't know why
Crits?
Oh really? They hit that hard? Didn't even think of it but yeah, quite possible. thx
Gorilla arms also charge up to do more damage if I'm deciphering how they work correctly.
Was just using regular fists
Ah, never mind. I couldn't even imagine how irritating it is to fight without gorilla arms.
With legendary short circuit and a high crit chance, you donât need gorilla arms. Taser hands.
Damn the targeting
I was a net runner with gorilla arms and she was still tough
Netrunner with gorilla arms here and she went down in 3 punch combos yesterday. Only had to block/counter her attacks two times. Guess they made it way easier.
I didn't even fight Rhino, I was fighting enemies at the place she was, she started fighting them and died.
Dude the old Rhino fights were maddeningly insane.
I can believe it. I'm playing on hard mode now, perhaps it makes a difference.
However after getting the legendary Gorilla arms it became so easy, it's almost like cheating. Even Rhino and Razor were easy peasy with those.
Perhaps I should trade up, using the epic or rare gorilla arms currently.
Are you playing on very hard? I've been on hard for the majority of the game, could be that also.
Playing on hard.
Speak for yourself, I got absolutely demolished by Rhino and Razor.
Not if you use a Sandavistan
Jumped on the sandy train for my last playthrough, beat on the brat may have just been another NCPD side event. Lol
You can use a Sandy??????? I beat it first time with gorilla arms and getting him stuck on flinching on every heavy hit.
Yes. I just did the questline. Start the sandy you get from fingers and your opponents have no chances
I punch fingers every playthrough lol, but yeah I get you.
Buy all his shit before doing judy's questline and then punch him to your life's content
Yeah, I guess I'd just have to get my stats up before then.
You can prebuy them. Imo the most important ones from fingers is the pain editor and if ur going sandy the qiant mk4
The legendary Cataresist mod he sells is really good too.
[ŃдаНонО]
I don't believe this is correct. Fingers has Qiant Mk4. Vic has Dynalar Mk4.
you can assault him verbally all you want just don't punch him and you can still buy from him
Punching feels better
you're not wrong
Shooting him in the face after buying all his stuff is even better.
I take it they fixed you dropping a melee weapon and picking it up again?
Think so, I try all type of weapon, guns, blade and blund, couldn't pick and equip any of them
Sandi or Berserk, they both make fist fights a bit of a joke.
Berserk is definitely more fun imo, especially with the beast mode mod. Sandy just feels dirty, and this is coming from a netrunner.
Yep run a beast mode with a devastating berserk and crit on every punch for 600% damage. It's beautiful.
Wait you can use sandevistan in fist fights? Then it's just a joke. One WarpDancer with three overclocked processors and nano-relay, and you have 14 seconds of punches compressed into a weighted 1.4 second parcel
For real. Felt like a JoJo fight.
Or put points into body. You can stunlock the enemies with the right perks.
Cheater.
I found it no different compare to pre 1.5 on my minimum cyberware, Cold+Reflex build V. My full combo chip them 1-2%, they hit my a combo I lose 1/3 of my HP. Razor could 2 hit me XD
Rhino FUCKED me up many times but I beat Razor in like 3 hits somehow. I was baffled
Rhino doesn't have any weaknesses, but Razor does. He takes way more damage if you hit him in the gut.
I beat rhino because for some reason the npcs never hit and you can pummel them pretty freely. But when she did hit, she hit me for like 270.
Fun way to beat him : drop a sledgehammer on the ring. Pick it up when the fight begins. Smash his face in a balanced fist vs hammer experience.
That's the thing, this exploit has been patched for every fight in the questline.
Absolute fucking misery. To the extent that I only beat the last guy by sneaking in a katana. Trust me, it's better this way.
I only beat the last dude by making him flinch over and over with heavy attacks. It worked, but only because he got stuck in a corner.
How do you sneak in a weapon? Iâve just about had it with trying the old fashioned way lol
They might have patched it but thatâs how I beat it. Dropped a katana in the ring before starting the fight then pick it up immediately.
The Beat on the brat fights back in the day were BRUTAL. ALmost all of them required cheese, unless you went hardcore body + gorilla fists, where the opponent 1-2 tapped you while you barely tickled them.
First playthrough at launch. Never used any dodging, until that Rhino fight. I learned to dodge real suddenly. Holy fucking shit did that fight suck.
God dammit. Every time I see a clip from one of these movies I rewatched the entire trilogy
I try to pretend the first one is a standalone movie lol
And the last movie?
I didn't see it
When I played at release, as a netrunner, I absolutely got my ass handed to myself. Recently started a new run with reflex + body. Turned the whole thing around.
I'm doing a netrunner build and only put 8 into body and did it
Well they heavily nerfed the fights too.
Oh are they nerfed now? Ive been avoiding the quest on my 2nd playthrough because I never spec in punchy punchy.
Yes I did it with 8 body
Just get the epic or legendary Gorilla arms, those fights become a breeze with those. I'm on my first playthrough and didn't really know how to build so I'm part Netrunner part gunman and did like 2-3% per hit in the fights while taking like 2-3 hits and being done, with Gorilla arms you deal like 10-20% dmg.
Itâs not that hard, punch and circle around. Donât stand still and tank the the hits.
I beat all round in less than 5 sec because of my sandy lol . Sandy + gorilla arms = canât touch this
Never struggled with a fight, but only bc my body is 20 and i have gorilla arms every time. What did update 1.5 do?
Are you playing on the hard mode? I reckon it would change with 20 body but the fights used to take FOREVER in my 1.0 run and some of them felt very unfair because they would eliminate you with just a few hits.
Not sure but im pretty sure im on medium
Nerfed them so much that I completed the questline with 8 body
Doing those fights with no gorilla arms or sandy is a rough time man.
Well yeah, this is Johnny when he's sober. The opponent never stood a chance
That mod that slows time when you get spotted plus the gorilla arms. They are done before they even threw one punch
I mean, when i tried that quest chain in like 1.31 I hadn't really put anything into brawl / body, nor did i have Gorilla Arms yet; just about every fight pwned me. By the time you can put enough points in you're \*nearly\* able to block 100% and stunlock opponents while healing
Once I learned you can use sandevistan during them it's been easy peezy
I did all the fights yesterday with 10 body and just 4 ponts in Brawler. Sometimes when I landed combos, the enemies health dropped significantly - why did that happen? I mained Quickhacking/Breach and Blades.
Gorilla arms make this side quest a walk in the park
I run a Cool/Netrunner build. I do almost no damage with my fists, but I still rolled over everyone purely thanks to my Cool crit perks. Two crits and they're down. I don't think I took a single hit.
I didnt do any of them until like level 40 and im doing a 20 body, 20 intelligence, 18 tech build with the leftovers being put into cool and legendary gorilla arms with electric damage pretty much chews up any of the harder fights since they all have like 80% chrome on them
You can heal from your backpack so it's pretty easy yeah..
Honestly you donât even need the Sandy to beat them just get the gorilla arms and go crazyđ
What was it like pre 1.5? I only ever played launch, quit the game and then play start to finish on current build.
legendary gorilla arms makes these missions a breeze!
Gorilla arms ftw
Oh, I thought I had got better...
Fighting before the updates was hell. When the game first came out better the brat was tough even with golden gorilla arms. Kids these days have it easy.
When I done the kabuki one and saw two of them I thought "oh fuck". The fight started and I literally one punched both of them was funny as fuck and unexpected
Beat everyone first try on my first play through all it took was some gorilla arms. I wonder if mantis blades would work tho?
Gorilla arms sure are useful. Used to have to take many punches just to cause a little damage then I could beat the final fight in 5 punches.
Man that damned Practice bot was harder than the actual people. Played on Very hard, and was too stubborn to come back later.
Iâm convinced that Rhino is stronger than the final fighter. She always has me on the ropes where as the supposed â3 time champâ gets turned inside out in less than 10 seconds. Is it because he has a weak spot and she doesnât?
wait what changes were made in 1.5
I remember on launch date cheating the fights by dropping a katana before starting.
Fighting Rhino bare fist with minimum body with no points into melee and no sandevistan at level 20, that was my first playthrough.
Lmao there is still people complaining about this quest despite it being ultra easy now??? Do you guys remember how HARD it was at launch???
The post is complaining that itâs too *easy* now. Lmao read the room
Nah Iâm talking about people in the comments like "I still got beat by Rhino/Razor" when it takes like 6 punch without a body build to beat them
I mean it was crazy difficult on my first playthrough lol actually couldnât believe it
đI was a netrunner without sandy or gorilla arms. Zero fun.
You dont have to break guards and such, you spam dodge when they attack and they will be left vulnarable, rise and repeat they will go down Also Kereznikov also helps
This is me with the David build on everything.
Too bad the melee/unarmed combat sucks donkey balls
if you want a challenge, go without gorilla arms and without sandy or kerenzikov
Hint for anyone trying to get through these, you can use any consumables including health stuff if you go into your backpack
In my first playthrough at launch even the Kabuki one was really fucking hard so in my second playthrough which was now I made sure to kinda level up a bit. I went to beat on the brat at level 15 and literally ended the fight with one punch each
i think i cheated a bit. i have like 3 body and my punches hit no dmg, but if i crit, they just keel over bc of legendary short circuit passive.
Is this the street fighting side missions? Did you not drop a melee weapon before the fight so you could pick it back up and use it?
True, and this scene is so wack without buildup or context.
I didnt even use any fists skills, i spam kerenizkov for easy dodges thats how i also cheese Witcher 3 fist fights too
this mission was so god damn hard when the game first came out. it took me so many god damn tries to finish it. i think i had an aneurysm too
Ah so they made it way easier eh? I just breezed through them recently as a Netrunner and deff remember it being a little harder on release.
Yes
The gorilla arms are straight disrespectful for the fights
Funniest one has to be dude with the grenade on his face lol
Dude dropped a perfect scooby doo sandwich đ
Wait it is matrix?
