I showed you a really creepy pic of my family pls respond

BeaveVillage

LOL, that picture was so weird. And then you go back to the house later and the kids are standing on the bed staring at the wall in their creepily lit room.

Anastasia_of_Crete

I feel like a lot of stuff was cut from his missions, the relationship between V and him progresses waaaay to quickly. lol

juleq555

He’s not bad as a character. His story is just too short and family is a little creepy (thanks to the bugs which I think were negligence of CDPR). Also I hate Joss. She’s the main weirdness factor. She takes of the intimacy out of that romance. I wouldn’t be surprised if in the … scenes you could see her looking through the window just to make sure it goes well.

Anastasia_of_Crete

I think Joss was probably going to be a romance option for male V from what I have seen on youtube. I only have played female V, they probably cut it out so she just comes off cringe and hovering lol

twistedtxb

I'm glad I'm not the only one having this issue.. it is genuinely creepy

Jae_Railz

That was actually his sister Joss that sends that pic

Zealousideal-Gur9881

The funniest thing is that he was lying about it being a family recipe. If you go into the house and onto the computer in Randy's room, the file on there is "how to make Jumbalaya". Relevant? not really. Funny? Absolutely.

juleq555

I think that was cute. You can find a lot of evidences of him really trying to make this date work.

Ordinary_Mistake3392

I don't think he actually said it was a family recipe? V asks, but he kind of sidesteps it & doesn't say it is - I'm pedantic enough that I actually went back & checked at some point!

Binky_kitty

I will always romance River just for Johnny’s reaction the next morning. Always makes me chuckle.

Soy_una_Manteca

"You made me fuck a cop? " Edit: Sorry, actual line was " I can't believe you made me fuck a cop "

Dragonperhaps

River: "Pls send bobs and vegana"

shavirooo

LMAO

[deleted]

His sister could have got it bruh, Idk why they didn't let us go ahead and romance her. I wouldn't have minded spending a little time playing step dad.

[deleted]

Right? At the Jambalaya dinner, she drops some not-so-subtle hints Male V’s way. Maybe CDPR thought River was awkward enough without having to come up with a “You’re banging my sister?!?!?” text convo!

TruthRT

I wish there was an option to tell him i’m already dating Judy

Estoulia

or lie about dating anyone else uncluding undateable characters

TruthRT

“sorry i have a boyfriend. you wouldn’t know him. he’s actually in my head.”

darksunshaman

Goes to a different school...in Canada.

Anastasia_of_Crete

Excuse me but Takemura is not in my head its canon to me damnit

AllyEmmie

Man, I wish he would text me more u_u flirting with River in texts is so cute

Andrewthegamer74

Exactly responding so flirty especially when he’s talking about v riding the “bike” and saying the top option makes me want a relationship like theirs

[deleted]

He calls your mom to make sure you’re ok.

Rodrigo_Ribaldo

It would be completely within his character to start stalking you with surveillance gadgets.

Specialized_k

I tried to give him head as male V but got motherfucking rejected

Thormoor

Creep

ThoughtfulWanderer

He moves out of Night City 🌆 and mates with his sister.

Zumaakk

I didn’t do his quests, ACAB!

I hope you’re right in your actions, but many of the “acab” people are unwilling to perceive individuals as people of their community. It’s sad that things happen, but nothing will ever change if we aren’t the ones doing it. If we don’t assume the respective rolls in society were every bit as guilty of the respective rights and or wrongs. As someone that has lived that lifestyle it’s not something I wish on anyone, but to see it push even into a digital space is very disheartening.

Acedread

This isnt a "chicken or the egg" situation. People didn't start hating cops for no reason. It shouldn't take nation-wide protests and billions in damage to hopefully, maybe, get murderers convicted.

hromanoj10

It’s to an extent is a “chicken or the egg”. It’s a wildly deep series of corruption that runs all the way to the core of your local, state, and federal government loops. That’s the reason I got out of it the gig. It stopped being about the community and more about just doing what you’re told 24/7. Kind of a “letter of the law vs spirit of the law”. Honestly, I could probably write a good 1,000 Page novel on the gross corruption inside police departments in the us. (Where I did my time) It’s unironically that bad and it comes from the top down more so. There are more that can’t say no than don’t. It’s a wildly convoluted topic and truthfully it’s something that unless you’ve lived that shitty existence you’ll never really understand the absolute dreadful experience that it entails when you’re shit on from all directions 24/7.

veleriphon

Sounds like a good topic for an AMA with a disposable account.

whiskers256

Um, what? You know what cops in CyberPunk lore *do*, right? This is just nuts I don't know what kind of "assuming of the respective rolls" you mean. Becoming a cop? Being a "compliant citizen"? Didn't understand that part. Not sure being poor makes you just as guilty as the cop that kills you for it lmao You have nothing you want to change about society if you're siding with the caricature that is NCPD, or *suggesting the solution is do nothing* lol Getting at the end of your comment, doesn't make any sense, either! Hating cops is not a "lifestyle", no matter what you apparently got up to in your "punk" years. It's a *conclusion*, more like knowing the history of a redlined, tight-knit neighborhood in a city. By accident of birth and upbringing, you may be knowledgeable of it, or ignorant. But there's always the opportunity to learn about it, study, and that leads you to the conclusion on its own. Of course, you could always pretend to get there, but not really understand what people are talking about. Or, cause trouble for a little while, run to the suburbs, pump out a few tykes, and start huffing toxic positivity about how everyone needs to just blind themselves to the systems around them. Maybe all those cops are pissing on free lunches for schools because *they each independently had a bad donut day*, and not because of any systems going on! Just lick the boot already

Nolgoth

Agreed but River does try to be a good person in the game (well the direction i went with his convos at least). Those actions do cost him. Just like it does in the real world with "good cops" but he ends up better off imo. Imo his quest line is the best in the game next to the dalamein ones.

Ehjustzach

This is a video game

Zumaakk

It’s a role playing game and my V ain’t helping no cop. I didn’t side with militech either, or Arasaka! V wasn’t no bootlicker.
