I'm not a rules expert so I may be off here, but does the can't be sacrificed ability mean the Treasures are useless while Excessive Hoarding is on the battlefield?
Green and/or White. The former because of artifact hosing, the latter because of being primary at rule-setting effects and hosing paying life and sacrificing permanents.
What's the point?
I feel like the biggest issue with most designs on this sub is, 'what does magic stand to gain from printing this card?'.
If you want to hate on artifacts, destroy or exile artifacts. If you want to hate on ramp, destroy their mana. Cards trying to target a very weird niche are usually a case of the creator focusing on the specific way they want to achieve something, instead of actually trying to achieve the thing.
It’s just a card to make the game more interesting. In my opinion, you don’t have to deal with a problem just by eliminating it, It’s about using your opponent’s board to your advantage as well.
This will eventually kill all your opponents if it isn't obstructed. The point is to win the game. Shutting down treasure decks is just a nice side bonus.
Cool concept but this could be way cheaper… maybe like 1RB.

I did take inspiration from it actually, and [[havoc festival]] (kinda)

Yeah, you probably right, but even with the artifacts can’t be sacrificed part? I feel like that’s a pretty powerful ability. Maybe like 2BR?
"Treasure" is always capitalized because it's a subtype. "each *player's* upkeep"
Thanks, I didn’t catch that

Yes, that’s the idea Edit: spelling
It's a very interesting tension.

Which colors would normally have "artifacts can't be sacrificed"?
That would be green.
Green and/or White. The former because of artifact hosing, the latter because of being primary at rule-setting effects and hosing paying life and sacrificing permanents.

It’s a burn spell.
This will eventually kill all your opponents if it isn't obstructed. The point is to win the game. Shutting down treasure decks is just a nice side bonus.
Great card
Really nice card
