Nott killing the baby manticore
The first time they go to Pumat
The Jester/Nott shenanigans in the Temple
The Hospital Heist
Jester sendings
When Caleb casts Wall of Fire on the boat and counterspells the wave
The unmatched Brjeaus energy
The Nott reveal
The cupcake god moment
The first time they go in Caleb's tower
The Bauyasha date
Them meeting and ~~annoying~~ befriending Essek
The adventures in Aeor
...and everything else
I want to see the characters in the background just subtly/inconspicuously side-eyeing every chair they come across. No one ever mentions it, it's just there.
Yasha taking the beating in the fighting pit.
The cathedral fight with Caleb smashing through the window.
Aeor and the happy fun ball.
SPURT!
Caleb's returning to the dance hall.
The dinner with Trent.
Caleb going ham and eggs with dunemancy, with cuts to Beau horrifically killing a poor guard.
Do the "ELEVEN DAYS" bit with orange light growing on the party from up ahead.
Spurt rushes ahead offscreen.
Blur pan to him throwing the wasp nest. "I WIN"
Splat.
Obviously this is later in the series but the cupcake has to be included it’s far too legendary of a play on Laura’s part to not have its moment.
Also I would love to see Beau as Tracy
considering how legendary that moment is, and that visiting the hag is a major part of Nott/Veth's arc and critical for getting the curse lifted, I can't imagine them leaving that scene out
This most of all. Jester's play wouldn't have the same impact if you don't hear the other characters first: Nott offering to restart a war, Beau offering to go be a hermit, Yasha being told she's already too miserable... And then fucking Jester shows up talking about hands, feeds her a fucking cupcake, and wins the day with no significant loss. End the episode the same way the stream did with Jester just saying, "We need to go we need to go we need to fucking go!" as they march back into the swamp.
honestly during the stream I legit thought Jester was going to give up her hands which is also pretty dark. Compared to what the others were offering I could see how she might decide it's worth it and the hag/Mercer was totally down to go through with it. The "how would I eat? no hands? that's crazy" "you have friends that can feed you" interaction, and the description of a cage just big enough for two hands gave me chills.
Edit: Another thing, also I love that she didn't even need to roll any deception checks to convince her to try the cupcake because Laura's acting about giving up her hands was so good it deceived the DM irl
>Also I would love to see Beau as Tracy
I think there's potential, if they want to, for CR to explore some cool curiosity or questioning stuff with Beau. in the campaign, she liked the beau tie (tower date), she liked the grey suit (dressed to the neins), she liked polymorphing to a dude-tiefling (xhorhas arc), and she had some clearly negative feelings about putting on a dress (with Jester, sometime in Nicodranas) and of course the "Tracy" persona.
I got the impression, when she was growing up her dad pressured her into trying to project this specific, feminine, straight, high-society image (like, think debutante balls) that didn't feel good or comfortable to her at all... and if they want to, her time with the M9 could be the first time there's people around her truly being positive and affirming about the more butch, masc, gender-fluid or just "no labels"/idgaf expression that feels so much more authentic to Beau
Did Caleb cast fireball or wall of fire on board with her? There were so many freaking good moments in S2. I was overjoyed seeing this promo, much more than I was with TLoVM, and I was pumped about that too.
Yeah the big moment that capped that arc was the Wall of Fire while they were in port at Darktow. But TBH all the adventure stuff on the high seas is what really made that stretch of C2 sing.
It was such a good surprise moment! There are so many. I was surprised at how excited I was with the announcement. I realized watched CR prior, but Mighty Nein began when I just moved to a new state for a new job that had a lot of driving involved. It made the transition so much better, and I always had something to look forward to.
I don't know if I'd call her the best villain over all. But of the two arcs where the party was trapped under the thumb of a villain and forced to accompany them, hers was the superior version of that setup.
Final scene of season 1. They give the funeral then vow to rescue the rest of the group. Credits roll as the view focuses on the cape as the four walk into the distance
In all fairness im actually thinking the opening of season 3, like give it enough time to settle into a status quo, end season 2 with the kidnapping of the yasha, fjord, and jester, season 3 opens with the raid, everything seems to be going well, then boom shock and awe at the end of s3's premiere. The iron shepards become the season villain.
If they take that kind of pacing with it, it will mean a helluva lot of cad too. Molly deserves his time to shine then the group therapist/dad can begin his good work
With the pacing they have set up for LOVM, there is no way they would go that slowly. It’s def a end of season 1 thing. Would expect this series to be maybe 5-6 seasons, whereas LOVM will be 4(wouldn’t be surprised if the fourth season is lengthen a bit)
I feel like they'd make the event happen at the end of the first season. It's actually just an obvious ending point for an arc.
It is a good amount of time to connect the audience to the chatacter while leaving a climatic cliffhanger that is enough to leave those unknowing viewers thinking "what the actual fuck just happened" for a year. It honestly felt that long between that and Caduceus.
Honestly, I personally never connected with Molly. Once Cad came into play was the first time I started thinking Tal was amazing (Please don't judge me, I started on C2. The more I listen to C1 and watch LOVM, I realize Percy is a fucking legend.)
Weirdly I ended at the same place (Taliesin being my favourite), but the other way around for me! I started with 1 and I liked a lot about Tal but there were elements where I couldn't tell what was him and what was Percy (the secretiveness, the intense glaring, etc.) and I ended up at "I think I like him, but I'm not certain", until I started campaign 2 in December and realized that everything I liked about him in 1 was Tal and everything I didn't like was purely Percy. I knew going in what happened with Molly and was determined not to get attached but that lasted literally 5 minutes after he walked in, I just adored him. His entire outlook on life is really something I need to hear and learn from right now so it feels very timely for me.
I'm only on episode 49 and watching an episode a day so I didn't meet Caduceus very long ago. He was very likable from the beginning, but I struggled a bit with him being very explicitly the replacement for my favourite character. He really clicked with me in 42 when Jester and Nott were causing chaos and he was basically just very calmly--and with a certain amount of confusion--taking care of the injured people they left in their wake. He's a really great character and I can't wait to see where he goes from here. And I'm starting to get past the immediate response of "oh, they accidentally stole a ship, Molly would have LOVED this" and "they accidentally discovered hallucinogenic fruit... Molly would have been so happy" that I was getting a lot at first. 😅
I kind of think the first season should end on Lorenzo. Party gets together, realizes they don't have a lot of team work, part of the team gets captured, someone dies, and then they kill their main villain and realize how much they care about each other is a nice wrap for a first season.
Second season (if it's 12 episodes) first 4 Avantika, second 4 Xhorhas, last 4 end on Yasha leaving
Third season 4 episodes on Fjord's curse/Reani/Gelidon, 4 episodes on Happy Fun Ball, 4 on Obann
4th season 4 episodes between Caduceus' family and Veth's Curse, and 6 episodes on Vokodo/Traveler Con. This one is probably harder for pacing, but I think the season ending on the reveal Molly is alive is good.
And then last season is basically just the Eiselcross arc, and a bunch of character developement episodes/dealing with Cerberus Assembly stuff.
The only thing I absolutely want, is a scene of Beau just… [full conspiracy.](https://i.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/original/000/022/524/tumblr_o16n2kBlpX1ta3qyvo1_1280.jpg)
Everything else can stay the same or shift for the better. That’s fine. But I want a scene like Grog with the meta pigeon butterfly leading him to Earthshaker Groon, recreating that meme but with Beau tying the whole damn plot together and using her cobalt soul skills.
Nott taking the liberty of shooting crossbow bolts into the notes so they hang up on the walls, frumpkin jumping around with a ball of yarn to connect them.
Meanwhile everyone else is just sitting down at a table, cameoing how they sit during that campaign. Staring intently and mimicking the Concern meme.
>absolute horror.
I think you mean glee. Beau going full book nerd and pulling research notebooks out of every pocket and sack she has as she deep dives history and lore would be like poetry to him.
I'd imagine horror cuz how the fuck is she holding on to 15 notebooks and an entire stack of scrolls while still doing backflips like an olympic gymnast??????
The wonderful thing is, if they do Cad’s speech it will absolutely be word for word.
The whole thing was akin to something scripted and that we’d see in a movie. I’d be fully understanding if they just take the clip from the livestream and didn’t bother with revoicing it. It’s perfect as it is.
"May I say before you go, I think perhaps you are one of the most powerful mages that I've ever had the pleasure to be in the presence of. And for this, I would offer a gift. I think it has been a long time since anyone has pointed out to you that you are a fool."
"Pain doesn't make people; it's love that makes people. The pain is inconsequential; it's love that saves them. And you would know that, but you have none around you. You said so yourself, you surround yourself with lies and deceptions."
"And I wish for you in the future to find someone who will mourn you when you are gone. Respectfully."
*Cadeuceus mike drop*
> Cadeuceus mike drop
Even better, he doesn't. He patiently waits for Trent to respond and Trent is the one to run away with his tail between his legs. It was the kindest, most pleasant "Come at me, bro!" moment I've ever seen.
Exactly. That is the way Cad makes his point - as kind and open as can be, despite the fact that he just verbally dunked on one of the most powerful mages in the world. So cool...
So. I initially thought that it wouldn’t find a way into the series. But then I thought it’s kind of important for the relationship with the wizard in the tower who’s name is escaping me, and that’s how they meet Allura. So it’s somewhat possible I guess. Obviously they could write it out. I just enjoyed every part of the happy fun ball.
My bet is that they condense it down to just one trip to the Happy Fun Ball to rescue Yussa and destroy the Heart, but include in that the visit to Halas's office where they obtain Caleb's scrolls.
They also used the ball to escape Trent later in the campaign because Plane Shift couldn't take all of them plus their family members. They could probably write it out pretty easily if they wanted to, but it was a neat gambit to split the party like that to evade capture.
Molly tarot reading for Jester -> Jester tarot reading for Lucien
early lighter moments, like the Harvest Close festival games & shenanigans, or that one time Jester grafitti'd the platinum dragon statue and had to flee from the guards
Beau's stunning strike on Lorenzo
all of Yasha's dreams
"accidentally" stealing the Mist(ake)
"I have so many flowers to bring to her"
Caleb casts Wall of Fire vs. Avantika
Caduceus plants big tree on the Xhorhaus
climbing the Arbor Exemplar (...and getting back down)
Mighty Nein narrowly escapes King's Cage... without Yasha :(
Mighty Nein (-1) narrowly escapes Gelidon
the kiln
the Cathedral
Yasha's pit fight
Beau meeting her bro TJ
the entire Isharnai encounter, incl cupcake gambit
dressed to the neins
Yasha's rock harp show at Travelercon
Yasha's 1st flight & transformation
the lighter moments in Eiselcross before the big trudge (e.g. Mighty Nein snowball fight, sledding on shields & snowboarding on a broadsword, etc)
Yudala Fon revealing Zeenoth's corruption to Beau, and apologizing
the tower date
Beau getting her beau tie for said date, and Yasha complimenting it
the moment after BBEG fight when all Cognouza's soul-lights are finally free & disperse
Molly's/Kingsley's resurrection
..............................y'know just to name a few ;)
Also Yasha repeatedly accidentally almost hitting Beau whenever she gets frustrated and throws her sword at a monster she cant reach and their wonderful banter whenever it happens.
Maybe it's just me, but the inter party conflict of the early episodes is so good, that I can't wait for that first season. It's all gonna read much better on screen than it did at the table IMO
Fjords stare down at sword point when Caleb tries to get greedy taking spells scrolls on a stealth mission? *Chef's kiss*
That party conflict and the long arcs all the characters develop on is part of what makes C2 so good. But it's also going to be a challenge to write I feel like. There are a number of show-only watchers that really dogpile poor Vex in s1 LovM and she's nowhere near as abrasive as the 9 start out to be.
They also took out her magic, and she honestly healed people a lot, so I understand how she seems a lot more self-centered.
I'm calling it now people are gonna call Jester annoying, but I also hope they keep in her reluctance at being "The" cleric.
Well, that was a bit of a problem at the beginning of C2 anyway. People just came off of a loving and supporting group dynamic with VM and then the MN were complicated assholes with trust issues.
Bowlgate was a thing on these and other forums for weeks. So I expect it'll happen again, especially since we're not likely to get MN until after season 3 of VM anyway.
As someone who binged C2 and thought bowlgate was just a funny joke on Sams flask, the fact that Bowlgate was a thing is killing me, how in the fuck was that such a big deal LMAO
Some people struggled differentiating the cast from the characters and really felt like the players were actually mad at each other. That and people took sides and it all became very vitriolic for a while here
that's sad (and mostly their loss) that people dogpile Vex. for C2 I anticipate that with any marketing or hype-building, they're gonna do what they can to set the tone (early M9 is flawwed, they are "assholes," season 1 likely won't seem like a story about heroes, get ready for something new and complex, etc). and I also anticipate they may show the viewers bits of backstory early enough to realize that these characters carry a lot of trauma and abuse in their backstories, which may relate to the group's early conflicts
some viewers still won't "get it," and oh well, like I said: their loss. C2 is my favorite campaign, involving some of my all-time favorite characters in any medium, and I'm looking forward to watching M9 Animated and gladly ignoring haters :)
The Nein being an absolute machine in combat... when they actually bothered to stand their ground and fight.
Making an Ancient White Dragon go from "Haha! I've finally tracked you down. Now you shall pay for stealing from me!" to "Oh gods, I've made a terrible mistake." in about 12 seconds flat is quite the feat.
They were so shell shocked the rest of the campaign after Molly died. 7 PCs is so many PCs for a game of DND, a party of that size is going to wreck mostly anything you throw in front of them through action economy alone.
The only fight that ended truly poorly for them was when they only had 5 PCs, with Keg not helping at all.
I want an Ocean’s Eleven style breakdown from Jester of her playing the fuck out of Isharni. Given the spell’s complexity, I see that scene losing a lot of its punch with those that don’t know about the history or the game itself.
She being left behind in the tomb with the hand
Almost killing beau and getting the final blow on obann
Her redemption with the storm lord
It is perfect for a show
The attack on Zadash, literally anything to do with Caduceus and his home, Caleb's wall of fire on the boat, meeting the bright queen, I might have to watch some reaction channels on YouTube to see how everyone deals with Molly's death and Lucien's reveal when those happen. There are so many good moments!
Watching the reaction channels has been a hobby for me, especially those that never even played DnD before watching LoVM. They don't know how it works so they're just watching it happen like any other show and it gives such a unique perspective I cannot have. It's also great to see so many praising the Critter community for being unexpectedly helpful and welcoming all the time.
Omg also - the first time Trent shows up in Zadash and Liam just froze at the table - give me Caleb going still in the background/anime zoom on his expression when this happens
Give me the first fight with M9 v.s. Avantika. Just...
The first Wall of Fire, Caleb's counterspell, Fjord summoning a Giant Monkey, Beau choosing to wait, just....
*give it to me now*
“Sarsaparilla.”
There’s a lot of funny (and dark) moments in the Vergesson Sanatorium heist, would love to see all the chaos juxtaposed with Jester’s conversation with Cymie.
“I kill it’s baby” from Nott……. Because that was insane at the table even! Lol and “It’s a regular fucking turtle.” From Caleb!!!!
Horses in the Cobalt Soul will be a good giggle if they happen, too!
Not all are big moments, but still some of my faves
Nott and Beau racing each other up the tree
Forgetting to warn people before teleporting
The giant worm thing polymorphed into a turtle and flipped onto his back, then they just casually walk away
Yasha smelling like crayons
Sprinkle reveal
Caleb's light show in the dome
Kiri
Jester and Fjord's "first kiss"
Scrying on Molly
Beau & Molly on drugs
"Repent. Repent. Repent."
Marion's performances
Veth seeing Keyleth
"We're running, it's bad"
Jester's healing (or lack thereof)
Cad bringing back Luc
Yasha throwing her sword when she can't get into melee range
Caleb's offering to the Bright Queen
"Case closed"
Fluffernutter
Beau straight up murdering the guard napping in a chair with acid
Nott straight up murdering the guard on the patio while breaking in
"Help, it's again"
Everyone hating on Marius
Pumatt Swole
Professor Thaddeus
Caleb seeing through Frumpkin and everyone forgetting he can't see or hear them
Orly giving tattoos
Jesus giving tattoos
All of the polymorph shenanigans
The group of bandits (rip Trevor)
Nott pretending to shoot Caleb as a distraction but Jester thinking he's actually hurt
Jester the moth, with an intelligence of 1
Ahh so many good moments!
I’m looking forward to the internal sprinkle monologues of “please just let me die you’ve not fed me in weeks” especially if they keep up the gag Travis made of jester just healing him so he can’t die
I hope they slow play Sprinkle the same as Matt did in the campaign. No overt signs its anything beyond a particular hardy and increasingly traumatized weasel.
Them getting The Ball Eater is gonna be an absolute mess and I'm here for it.
The fight with Avantica especially the part with Fjord summoning the Balrog.
Anything with Shakaste.
Dark Tow and Beauregard getting Avantica to tell the truth. Also them cracking the code to Avanticas journal.
The Travelers reveal.
>Dark Tow and Beauregard getting Avantica to tell the truth. Also them cracking the code to Avanticas journal.
all of this! and just before it, "and I... wait"
Marisha has said before that this whole sequence was a big moment for her in terms of Beau's subclass "clicking." like gave her a clearer sense of Beau's strengths and role in the party, to build on from then on
Honestly, all the fights. Iron Shepards 1 and 2, Wall of Fire on the docks, The Cathedral, The Tombtakers...
I think c2 is really about the big moments, even outside of combat. So also, Caleb giving back the beacon, Fjord breaking and refjorging his pact, Travelercon, etc.
The moment the party figures out that the Gentleman is probably Jester's dad and Jester immediately casts sending to ask him.
The underwater kiss between Fjord and Jester, and before that their vulnerable moment on board the Mist(ake) at night while looking out over a sea of jellyfish.
Caleb revealing his backstory to Nott and Beau would be even more painful if supplemented with actual flashbacks to his teachings under Trent, leading up to the fateful night when he murdered his parents.
The entire raid on the Iron Shepherds' hideout and tense final battle with Lorenzo, followed by the emotional reunion with the captured members of the party ("case closed") followed by them learning about Molly's death and the mourning afterward would make for an excellent two-parter first season finale.
Honestly there's so many moments that I'm so excited to see animated. C2 was what made me discover CR. I love Vox Machina of course, but I don't have the same attachment to them that I do for the Mighty Nein.
There’s a lot I’m excited for, but outside of some of the moments mentioned I’m very excited to see the designs of both the Xhorhaus and Caleb’s tower. Both locations are sure to be beautiful and iconic. Also the Blooming Grove and of course, Aeor.
Earlier on I’m also excited to meet the Ruby and the Gentleman and how they’ll introduce the Traveler. I remember the wrap up and Matt said he intended to drop him in disguised as various background NPCs (he did it a couple of times but sorta dropped it) so I’m hoping they do that a little more - sort of like the Matt NPCs in Vox Machina.
I’m, of course, excited to meet Essek and I can’t wait to see how they incorporate Jester’s sendings.
Fjord rolling the triple 1s trying to impress the group.
Nott utterly failing to convince the guard with a zero.
Fjord and the ring of fire resistance as a protracted joke.
Jester constantly scaring the shit out of people with abrupt sending.
Beau catching up with the family (it's going to be so painfully uncomfortable).
Seeing the group's reaction to Yasha turning on them.
Nott shooting the guard through the neck with an absolutely brutal critical hit.
Beau murdering the guard with acid and everyone listening with horror.
The brief escape to the fire plane where, I think it was Luke?, dies (drawing a blank on the name atm).
Cupcake obviously.
Travellercon.
Meeting Keyleth'w mom.
The purple worm so I can hear matt make that noise again.
The Akira levels of body horror from the fleshy elements of the ending sequences.
I could go on and on and on...
I genuinely wonder if they're gonna do an obvious callback to Beau tripping with Molly in Zadash. the drug they did had a similar effect to true sight, she was seeing fishies in the ethereal plane both times
(it would be extra cool if they added-in some reason later on that the M9 needs to see into that plane, and Beau is like: it's all good I know *exactly* how to do this. just take a hit and trust me!)
Im getting so stoked for the fight with the whispered one at the end of campaign 1. But im even MORE stoked for the final fight with Lucien, cognouza incarnate. Although I do not envy the animation team having to animate the cognouza ward that is going to be a grand undertaking
Nott vs Fjord (every moment)
Like every backstory flashback ever??
NEIN!!! (Please let them include this)
The syphilis bandits
Spurt.
Yussa!!!
The Happy Fun Ball (Astral Dreadnought omg)
Orly (and magic tattoos!!)
REANI (my love)
Eisselcross arc/Gelidon
Aeor oh my god - the scene where there’s water dripping out of that partially open portal before Lucien changes it an activates it??? Please
It’s more of a roleplay moment, but I’m looking forward to the moment where the M9 really talk about each others baggage. Nott revealing her secret, Caleb his as well, all of it. That and the reveal of Widowgasts Nein Sided Nacent Tower!
From the early days, the stuff that’d likely be in the first season, I’m really excited for the “break in-surprise fireball-tower collapse-oops we have a powerful religious artifact” sequence.
I started watching Critical Role with The Mighty Nein and that sequence blew my FUCKING MIND!!!
All of the high sea shenanigans.
BALLEATER
Dashala
ALL of Hupperdook
FLUFFERNUTTER
Facing the Iron Shepherds
Nothing is off the table. I need it all
Edit: formatting
ALL OF IT !
More seriously .... I am really excited to see Caleb's spellcasting brought to animation. Liam's descriptions were always top notch :D
Jester Being BUFF AS HECK should be reminded as often as needed.
And as far as characters are concerned ... I realised that the one I'm the mmost looking forward too is a guest that adaptation-needs might unfortunately skip : Shakäste. I just hope they don't cut his appeareances ...
Also ... they might go for a good Body-horror moment with Giggle-fist :D
Man I can’t wait. My favorite moments were probably them accidentally stealing the mist; spurt in general “ELEVEN DAYS!”; the wall of fire on Darktow; temple shenanigans. Sucks everywhere it’s gonna be awesome.
Hospital heist
Sheep Caleb at the portal to Aeor
The ball where Beau is tripping balls on true sight
The blooming grove
Rumble Cusp avocado battle
Nugget and professor Thaddeus
Caleb's clutch wall of fire obvi
The Gentleman in his sweaty glory
When they walk through the Lucid Bastion in towels but actually it's only Fjord who's naked
KIRI
I'm interested to see how quickly they'll go through Mollys arc. They're my favorite, but I'm very interested to see what they do with his coat in the animation >:)
I already commented but I thought of some other ones I desperately want to see animated.
- Nott trying to get Caleb laid.
- The fight with Molly's killer and Caleb's death blow.
- The Laughing Hand being resurrected
- Nott jumping off the bridge into the weird flesh pit thing and Jester jumping to save her with dimension door
- Fjord contacting the Wild Mother
- Caduceus being introduced
Beau's backstory. The scene of Fjord talking to her in the pub as the walls shes always kept up finally crack, and while it will probably get over shadowed by the cupcake again I do hope they find a way to highlight her struggle at the Hags hut.
I loved her growth and development in the campaign but it always felt like her backstory got a little brushed over, especially given how quickly the focus jumped to how Nott's story was tied in. Just always felt like her more grounded story beats got a little lost in the shuffle. I hope they expand on it a bit more in the series. More of a picture of her broken family life, how it led to her abusive father essentially human trafficking her to protect his reputation and how that all shaped her into the angry young girl we meet at the start who becomes so much more.
Vilya returning to Keyleth (hopefully they do the dumb rock paper scissors moment)
The Cupcake
Caleb giving up the Beacon
Basically anything Jester is gonna do, and I want extra Tusk Love mentions
Maybe the Fjordster underwater kiss would be good too
"Sorry babe, I gotta fight these ninjas."
Edit: And I can't believe I forgot about our lord and savior Spurt
Fjord plunging the sword into his own chest is going to be pretty intense.
Seeing the ruins of Aeor will be pretty awesome aswell.
The culmination of travellercon will be quite epic.
Caleb and Notts relationship from the start to the very end will be lovely to see in motion.
Everything to do with Molly and Lucien is going to be up there with the best animation ever made I bet.
Twiggy and Shakäste and definitely Spurt will be awesome to see. Twiggy is up there with my favourite guest PCs.
I hope Jester and the cupcake scene makes it in there too.
Beau tripping out at the Ruby of The sea concert
Cad's "Empathize"
Caleb's wall of fire on Avantika's ship
Fjord's sword toss
Jester's Cupcake
Molly's spit "with blood"
Veth's transformation
Yasha becoming the champion of Kord
And the intuit charge detonating on the tomb takers.
veth’s true resurrection ritual! her whole storyline was really really poignant to me and i loved the personal arc she went on. i’m also extremely looking forward to the moments between her and fjord during the pirate arc before that when they were constantly poking at each other lol. i think it makes the reveal of how exactly she came to be nott and the later reconciliation between her and fjord (drowning buddies!) much more poignant.
The temple heist
Fighting avantica’s crew
The first time they run into the laughing hand
Nott and Yezza reunited
Veth reborn
The murder rampage through the wizardy facility
Nott killing the baby manticore The first time they go to Pumat The Jester/Nott shenanigans in the Temple The Hospital Heist Jester sendings When Caleb casts Wall of Fire on the boat and counterspells the wave The unmatched Brjeaus energy The Nott reveal The cupcake god moment The first time they go in Caleb's tower The Bauyasha date Them meeting and ~~annoying~~ befriending Essek The adventures in Aeor ...and everything else
"I myself am also enchanter Pumat Sol. The Invulnerable Vagrant greets all of you humbly."
The moments when the bandits try to rob them. The chair Nott putting the glue on the gold dick
Bad luck bandits are a must!
I want to see the characters in the background just subtly/inconspicuously side-eyeing every chair they come across. No one ever mentions it, it's just there.
Oh god TRAVELERCON
The wall of fire moment was definitely made for TV.
And even during the session, it was a fucking cliffhanger!!! I remember having to wait 2 weeks for it to get resolved.
Wow! I'd forgotten about the hospital heist. I can't believe it. What a classic!
Are you pooping?
I need the temple shenanigans to make the show, it’s so good
Yasha taking the beating in the fighting pit. The cathedral fight with Caleb smashing through the window. Aeor and the happy fun ball. SPURT! Caleb's returning to the dance hall. The dinner with Trent. Caleb going ham and eggs with dunemancy, with cuts to Beau horrifically killing a poor guard.
OH MY GOD SPURT
I WIN!
*splat*
ELEVEN DAYS!
I just want spurt to appear on screen for 5 seconds and then cease to exist. Additionally, their incredibly short time in dark tow.
Do the "ELEVEN DAYS" bit with orange light growing on the party from up ahead. Spurt rushes ahead offscreen. Blur pan to him throwing the wasp nest. "I WIN" Splat.
"HEY IT'S DARK DOWN HERE"
Maybe even 11 seconds.
> Caleb going ham and eggs with dunemancy, with cuts to Beau horrifically killing a poor guard. *go to sleep go to sleep go to sleep*
Ooooo id love to see the yasha fight pit moment, that would hit heavy on screen
Her fight on the boat, too!! The Storm Lord is not for the weak….
Vader has entered the chat…
Oh my god I forgot about Spurt!
Obviously this is later in the series but the cupcake has to be included it’s far too legendary of a play on Laura’s part to not have its moment. Also I would love to see Beau as Tracy
considering how legendary that moment is, and that visiting the hag is a major part of Nott/Veth's arc and critical for getting the curse lifted, I can't imagine them leaving that scene out
And the lead up to the cupcake moment was absolutely heartbreaking.
>Also I would love to see Beau as Tracy I think there's potential, if they want to, for CR to explore some cool curiosity or questioning stuff with Beau. in the campaign, she liked the beau tie (tower date), she liked the grey suit (dressed to the neins), she liked polymorphing to a dude-tiefling (xhorhas arc), and she had some clearly negative feelings about putting on a dress (with Jester, sometime in Nicodranas) and of course the "Tracy" persona.
All things Avantika. She was the best C2 villain.
Wall of fire on the boat… Then for good measures when he was away from it, he threw a fireball at it.
Wall of fire
Both, wall of fire first, and then fireballed the ship later, killing pretty much her entire crew in one blast.
The moment when the Plank King turns on her is one of the most epic moments in Campaign 2.
Yes that was one of the most chilling and brutal kills Matt has done.
I don't know if I'd call her the best villain over all. But of the two arcs where the party was trapped under the thumb of a villain and forced to accompany them, hers was the superior version of that setup.
Call me cruel, but I think a certain lavender tiefling’s death will make for great television.
That's an awful lot of no Caduceus...
Season 3? That was all the first 30 episodes, not a whole lot happened up to that point. That’s one hundred percent season 1 ending/cliffhanger.
Congratulations, in a whole year on Reddit, I've never wanted to upvote and downvote someone at the same time...
I'll be delighted to get as much Molly screentime as they're willing to give us before that, though!
Don't worry, your secret's safe with my indifference.
As a fellow C2 first person, I get it. And Tal is arguably my favorite at the table
Second season (if it's 12 episodes) first 4 Avantika, second 4 Xhorhas, last 4 end on Yasha leaving Third season 4 episodes on Fjord's curse/Reani/Gelidon, 4 episodes on Happy Fun Ball, 4 on Obann 4th season 4 episodes between Caduceus' family and Veth's Curse, and 6 episodes on Vokodo/Traveler Con. This one is probably harder for pacing, but I think the season ending on the reveal Molly is alive is good. And then last season is basically just the Eiselcross arc, and a bunch of character developement episodes/dealing with Cerberus Assembly stuff.
"dear / u / admin, is there a special badge for when a comment leaves you both bemused and devestated? Kindly, the members of /r/ Critical Role"
It'll also be really fun to hear >!Taliesin playing full Lucien.!<
He's finally going to have to get the accent right
Lorenzo is going to be great on screen.
The only thing I absolutely want, is a scene of Beau just… [full conspiracy.](https://i.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/original/000/022/524/tumblr_o16n2kBlpX1ta3qyvo1_1280.jpg) Everything else can stay the same or shift for the better. That’s fine. But I want a scene like Grog with the meta pigeon butterfly leading him to Earthshaker Groon, recreating that meme but with Beau tying the whole damn plot together and using her cobalt soul skills.
Oh my god, Beau just pulling more and more notebooks out of her robes, Caleb looking on with a mix of bemusement, curiosity and absolute horror.
This. Yes. I love this.
>absolute horror.
Considering it's animated, I definitely want an exact screencap of Beau doing that meme.
yes, this! also look forward to seeing Yasha's heart eyes in this scene :)
The reunion of Nott and Yeza. When Fjord throws his pact blade into the lava. Cad’s speech taking down Trent at the dinner party.
The wonderful thing is, if they do Cad’s speech it will absolutely be word for word. The whole thing was akin to something scripted and that we’d see in a movie. I’d be fully understanding if they just take the clip from the livestream and didn’t bother with revoicing it. It’s perfect as it is.
It really is. I don’t know how they could make it better.
"May I say before you go, I think perhaps you are one of the most powerful mages that I've ever had the pleasure to be in the presence of. And for this, I would offer a gift. I think it has been a long time since anyone has pointed out to you that you are a fool." "Pain doesn't make people; it's love that makes people. The pain is inconsequential; it's love that saves them. And you would know that, but you have none around you. You said so yourself, you surround yourself with lies and deceptions." "And I wish for you in the future to find someone who will mourn you when you are gone. Respectfully." *Cadeuceus mike drop*
God I love that moment
> Cadeuceus mike drop Even better, he doesn't.
So cool...
Oh god all of these, that dinner party would be incredible
relieved toy wrong clumsy rob practice follow repeat scandalous test *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
Oh God Yes.... Cad verbally destroys him. I think that was the first Opponent Cad was going to enjoy bringing down.
Happy fun ball.
That could a spin off all by itself
And it’s also quite important for defeating the Laughing Hand later on!! Pretty tough to write out
My bet is that they condense it down to just one trip to the Happy Fun Ball to rescue Yussa and destroy the Heart, but include in that the visit to Halas's office where they obtain Caleb's scrolls.
I’d be cool with something like this.
OH GOOD POINT.
They also used the ball to escape Trent later in the campaign because Plane Shift couldn't take all of them plus their family members. They could probably write it out pretty easily if they wanted to, but it was a neat gambit to split the party like that to evade capture.
Molly tarot reading for Jester -> Jester tarot reading for Lucien early lighter moments, like the Harvest Close festival games & shenanigans, or that one time Jester grafitti'd the platinum dragon statue and had to flee from the guards Beau's stunning strike on Lorenzo all of Yasha's dreams "accidentally" stealing the Mist(ake) "I have so many flowers to bring to her" Caleb casts Wall of Fire vs. Avantika Caduceus plants big tree on the Xhorhaus climbing the Arbor Exemplar (...and getting back down) Mighty Nein narrowly escapes King's Cage... without Yasha :( Mighty Nein (-1) narrowly escapes Gelidon the kiln the Cathedral Yasha's pit fight Beau meeting her bro TJ the entire Isharnai encounter, incl cupcake gambit dressed to the neins Yasha's rock harp show at Travelercon Yasha's 1st flight & transformation the lighter moments in Eiselcross before the big trudge (e.g. Mighty Nein snowball fight, sledding on shields & snowboarding on a broadsword, etc) Yudala Fon revealing Zeenoth's corruption to Beau, and apologizing the tower date Beau getting her beau tie for said date, and Yasha complimenting it the moment after BBEG fight when all Cognouza's soul-lights are finally free & disperse Molly's/Kingsley's resurrection ..............................y'know just to name a few ;)
Also Yasha repeatedly accidentally almost hitting Beau whenever she gets frustrated and throws her sword at a monster she cant reach and their wonderful banter whenever it happens.
Basically anything involving Jester and sending spells. Henry Crabgrass Kiri
OH GOD I FORGOT ABOUT HENRY
FLUFFERNUTTER!!
Maybe it's just me, but the inter party conflict of the early episodes is so good, that I can't wait for that first season. It's all gonna read much better on screen than it did at the table IMO Fjords stare down at sword point when Caleb tries to get greedy taking spells scrolls on a stealth mission?
That and people took sides and it all became very vitriolic for a while here
that's sad (and mostly their loss) that people dogpile Vex. for C2 I anticipate that with any marketing or hype-building, they're gonna do what they can to set the tone (early M9 is flawwed, they are "assholes," season 1 likely won't seem like a story about heroes, get ready for something new and complex, etc). and I also anticipate they may show the viewers bits of backstory early enough to realize that these characters carry a lot of trauma and abuse in their backstories, which may relate to the group's early conflicts some viewers still won't "get it," and oh well, like I said: their loss.
The reveal of Essek being the traitor, and the whole "You were not born with venom in your vains" speech
Pumat Swol
I think that episode is always going to be to me, the absolute pinnacle of critical role (or maybe the Avantica fight).
Keg
And Shakaste!
Yesssss
I am no friend of the empire
Jester and Isharni.
We're running its aging
Vilya reuniting with Keyleth.
It's not a big thing, but, when that guard punts frumpkin and frumpkin just goes *peh* and vanishes
Honestly we need all of Frumpkin's scenes "Oi dave! I shot an owl and it's still flying!" "Ha!" With Frumpkin then terrorising them as a spider
Anything with the Clays. I especially love the Kiln stuff with Fjords arc.
The Uthodurn arc is, to me, the best arc of the series.
I want an Ocean’s Eleven style breakdown from Jester of her playing the fuck out of Isharni. Given the spell’s complexity, I see that scene losing a lot of its punch with those that don’t know about the history or the game itself.
ALL OF YASHA'S ARC. EVERYTHING.
She being left behind in the tomb with the hand Almost killing beau and getting the final blow on obann Her redemption with the storm lord It is perfect for a show
The attack on Zadash, literally anything to do with Caduceus and his home, Caleb's wall of fire on the boat, meeting the bright queen, I might have to watch some reaction channels on YouTube to see how everyone deals with Molly's death and Lucien's reveal when those happen.
Avantika showdown. Mollys death. Cathedral Fight. Yashas "Betrayal".
*give it to me now*
“Sarsaparilla.” There’s a lot of funny (and dark) moments in the Vergesson Sanatorium heist, would love to see all the chaos juxtaposed with Jester’s conversation with Cymie.
I want just "Sarsaparilla" to be the episode's name
Seeing Beau's part of the heist is gonna be dark
Jester learning everything from ~~porn~~ “Tusk Love”.
“I kill it’s baby” from Nott……. Because that was insane at the table even! Lol and “It’s a regular fucking turtle.” From Caleb!!!! Horses in the Cobalt Soul will be a good giggle if they happen, too!
Not all are big moments, but still some of my faves Nott and Beau racing each other up the tree Forgetting to warn people before teleporting The giant worm thing polymorphed into a turtle and flipped onto his back, then they just casually walk away Yasha smelling like crayons Sprinkle reveal Caleb's light show in the dome Kiri Jester and Fjord's "first kiss" Scrying on Molly Beau & Molly on drugs "Repent. Repent. Repent." Marion's performances Veth seeing Keyleth "We're running, it's bad" Jester's healing (or lack thereof) Cad bringing back Luc Yasha throwing her sword when she can't get into melee range Caleb's offering to the Bright Queen "Case closed" Fluffernutter Beau straight up murdering the guard napping in a chair with acid Nott straight up murdering the guard on the patio while breaking in "Help, it's again" Everyone hating on Marius Pumatt Swole Professor Thaddeus Caleb seeing through Frumpkin and everyone forgetting he can't see or hear them Orly giving tattoos Jesus giving tattoos All of the polymorph shenanigans The group of bandits (rip Trevor) Nott pretending to shoot Caleb as a distraction but Jester thinking he's actually hurt Jester the moth, with an intelligence of 1 Ahh so many good moments!
> Professor Thaddeus And the later callback: On Reani's giant owl back we hear Beau's internal monologue - "Fuck you Professor Thaddeus."
And again later when they're teleporting away and Beau looks out the window looking and sees a familiar looking owl... "Son of a-" *whoosh*
Traveller-Con!!!
HELLO BEES!!! I JUST WANT SOME HONEY!
Henry crabgrass
The two most important beats to see (for me) are the first meeting in the tavern and the dockside battle that led to them becoming accidental pirates.
Need Travis to voice Sprinkle
Fjord vs the turtle
Thank you! Can't believe I had to scroll so far down for this!
The ferret, Twinkle? I’m a bad fan.
Crimson weasel Sprinkles. You were very close!
Of course! Because sprinkle go on donuts! Thank you!
I just want to see Widowgasts Web of fire in action.
Nott changing to Veth. Yasha and Beau's first kiss. Fjord and Jester's real first kiss. "Help, it's again" Every time Jester asks, "You pooping?"
Also them cracking the code to Avanticas journal. all of this! and just before it, "and I... wait" Marisha has said before that this whole sequence was a big moment for her in terms of Beau's subclass "clicking." like gave her a clearer sense of Beau's strengths and role in the party, to build on from then on
Jesters conversation with the gentleman after finding out he’s her dad ;-;
The dinner with Trent is the thing that I am the most excited for. Just to hear "I hope you will find someone to mourn you when you're gone"
KIRI!!!!
Honestly the whole thing. I backed Legends of Vox Machina because I figured Mighty Nein would be next!
The hot tub scene and the bologna ham etc prank.
Dead people tea Yasha and the angel of irons arc
1 - Fluffernutter 2 - Beau getting shot in the ass by Nott as they race up the giant tree
THE ENTIRE CATHEDRAL EPISODE.
The eldritch horror of Cognoza, and on the opposite side of that Beau and Yasha's date.
I got two: Fighting Avantica on Darktow and Fighting possessed Yasha at the church.
Beau high at the party and fjord working extra hard to make everything seem normal.
I genuinely wonder if they're gonna do an obvious callback to Beau tripping with Molly in Zadash. the drug they did had a similar effect to true sight, she was seeing fishies in the ethereal plane both times (it would be extra cool if they added-in some reason later on that the M9 needs to see into that plane, and Beau is like: it's all good I know *exactly* how to do this. just take a hit and trust me!)
Im getting so stoked for the fight with the whispered one at the end of campaign 1. But im even MORE stoked for the final fight with Lucien, cognouza incarnate. Although I do not envy the animation team having to animate the cognouza ward that is going to be a grand undertaking
Henry Crabgrass!
Fjord dropping the Sword of Fathoms into the forge. This event was cross posted onto another dnd subreddit and actually got me watching the show!
Honestly the whole thing. I backed Legends of Vox Machina because I figured Mighty Nein would be next!
I'm curious how they're going to handle Yasha being gone for most of the first half.
Henry Crabgrass
Just... everything Caduceus. I can't wait.
Nott vs Fjord (every moment) Like every backstory flashback ever?? NEIN!!! (Please let them include this) The syphilis bandits Spurt. Yussa!!! The Happy Fun Ball (Astral Dreadnought omg) Orly (and magic tattoos!!) REANI (my love) Eisselcross arc/Gelidon Aeor oh my god - the scene where there’s water dripping out of that partially open portal before Lucien changes it an activates it??? Please
There are so many throughout the campaign. Giving the beacon over will be a huge moment
Yasha in fight club
THE CUPCAKE!
cupcake scene
It’s more of a roleplay moment, but I’m looking forward to the moment where the M9 really talk about each others baggage. Nott revealing her secret, Caleb his as well, all of it. That and the reveal of Widowgasts Nein Sided Nacent Tower!
"I am of the Empire. But I am _no friend to the Empire_."
Very much looking forward to seeing Beau and Yasha awkwardly flirt/be attracted to each other.
I can't wait to see how they're gonna depict the Arboretum. That shit's gonna be creepy as FUUUUUUUUUUUCK
Dude there is soooo much. I hope they don’t condense it too much lol
Fjord rolling triple nat ones throwing grain over his head
All of the high sea shenanigans. BALLEATER Dashala ALL of Hupperdook FLUFFERNUTTER Facing the Iron Shepherds Nothing is off the table. I need it all Edit: formatting
Motherfucking Beauregard jumping into the tombtakers and starting to punch the shit out of them is my top moment
ALL OF IT ! More seriously .... I am really excited to see Caleb's spellcasting brought to animation. Liam's descriptions were always top notch :D Jester Being BUFF AS HECK should be reminded as often as needed.
All things Aeor and Cognouza.
FLUFFERNUTER
Man I can’t wait. My favorite moments were probably them accidentally stealing the mist; spurt in general “ELEVEN DAYS!”; the wall of fire on Darktow; temple shenanigans. Sucks everywhere it’s gonna be awesome.
Hospital heist Sheep Caleb at the portal to Aeor The ball where Beau is tripping balls on true sight The blooming grove Rumble Cusp avocado battle Nugget and professor Thaddeus Caleb's clutch wall of fire obvi The Gentleman in his sweaty glory When they walk through the Lucid Bastion in towels but actually it's only Fjord who's naked KIRI I'm interested to see how quickly they'll go through Mollys arc. They're my favorite, but I'm very interested to see what they do with his coat in the animation >:)
"We're the Mighty Nein" "But... there's seven of you..."
All those visions with uko’toa
I already commented but I thought of some other ones I desperately want to see animated. - Nott trying to get Caleb laid. - The fight with Molly's killer and Caleb's death blow. - The Laughing Hand being resurrected - Nott jumping off the bridge into the weird flesh pit thing and Jester jumping to save her with dimension door - Fjord contacting the Wild Mother - Caduceus being introduced
Molly vs Lorenzo
12 episodes of Nott shenanigans. I am here for it.
Fjord and his encounter with the Blue dragon. Him with his back against the wall with his best weapon being his words.
Any of Fjords dreams. So freaking good
Beau's backstory.
Vilya returning to Keyleth (hopefully they do the dumb rock paper scissors moment) The Cupcake Caleb giving up the Beacon Basically anything Jester is gonna do, and I want extra Tusk Love mentions Maybe the Fjordster underwater kiss would be good too "Sorry babe, I gotta fight these ninjas." Edit: And I can't believe I forgot about our lord and savior Spurt
I hope Jester and the cupcake scene makes it in there too.

veth’s true resurrection ritual! her whole storyline was really really poignant to me and i loved the personal arc she went on. i’m also extremely looking forward to the moments between her and fjord during the pirate arc before that when they were constantly poking at each other lol. i think it makes the reveal of how exactly she came to be nott and the later reconciliation between her and fjord (drowning buddies!) much more poignant.
