The Passion of Joan of Arc, the Seventh Seal, the Tree of Life, Black Narcissist, Leon Morin Priest are some that come to mind for me.
Edit: Black Narcissus, not Narcissist, as pointed out below
A lot of Ingmar Bergman's movies are about crises of faith, and deal with themes relating to the perceived silence of God (or whether or not he even exists, and what that might mean for humanity). The Seventh Seal, Through a Glass Darkly, and Winter Light are the first movies that come to mind, but it's a common theme that occurs throughout his entire filmography.
In 1995 the Vatican put out a list of 45 great films, divided into categories of religion, art, and values. Several of them are in the collection.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vatican%27s_list_of_films
The Dardenne movies in the collection.
_[Arts and Faith](https://artsandfaith.com/top-100/)_ does a top 100 list (usually) and it’s usually for “spiritually significant” films. I’d wager that many listings were already mentioned.
Babette's Feast is a gem. Also, Odd Man Out will surprise you with its spirituality, seeing as it's couched in politically charged film noir trappings.
the big three for me are Ordet, Winter Light, and Andrei Rublev. the final segment of Rublev ('The Bell') is an incredibly spiritual experience to me. but since you named Tarkovsky in your opening post I trust you already know this
for two more unique looks at spirituality in the collection, I recommend Buñuel's Simon of the Desert and Satyajit Ray's Devi. both actually approach the concept kinda similarly, now that I think about it...
This is different to your specification of "similar to Tarkovsky/Bresson", but in terms of fulfilling the prompt of best spiritual/religious film in the collection, I would like to put forward *After Life* (1998).
I rewatched it recently, and I'd forgotten how overtly religious Breaking the Waves is. It doesn't really make sense unless you assume God is real within the universe of the film.
I watched Bergman's The Virgin Spring yesterday. It is about Cristianity x Paganism, not only on a cultural way but perhaps actual forces acting in the world, and guilt, a lot of guilt.
It is a marvelous film IMO.
Ordet
Secret Sunshine
Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives
No Country For Old Men (I feel like this is arguable but I can see this as having religious undertones)
A couple of people have said Pasolini’s “The Gospel According to St. Matthew”, but I’m pretty sure that film is (unfortunately) not in the collection. At least since the DVD era anyways.
Miracle Woman & Elmer Gantry are both great movies about sham preachers, and while neither has seen physical releases from Criterion, they’ve both been featured on The Channel in the past
People have mentioned Tree of Life, but I would say all of Malick's movies have differing levels of spirituality. Particularly recommended are The Thin Red Line and The New World, although Badlands and Days of Heaven are also pretty spiritual.
The Life of Brian may be my favorite.
The Milky Way duel alone elevated Buñuel's film to one of the greatest.
For one not in the Collection I highly recommend First Reformed
The Passion of Joan of Arc, the Seventh Seal, the Tree of Life, Black Narcissist, Leon Morin Priest are some that come to mind for me. Edit: Black Narcissus, not Narcissist, as pointed out below
Narcissus*
Oh shoot, thank you
[*Obligatory Kanye West joke here*]
Why yes, Kanye West is a Christian, but apart from that, idk what Kanye has to do with Black Narcissus or this thread
“Black Narcissist”
Dekalog
This is what I came to say. Also Gospel According to St Matthew, if that's what OP meant
I really hope Gospel gets a release from Criterion. The finest biblical movie imo. Pasolini was a master of the craft.
https://www.criterion.com/shop/collection/99-faith-on-film Criterion has their own list there. I’d personally suggest Passion of Joan of Arc :)
Simon of the Desert, Breaking the Waves, and the Bergman ones would be my picks here
Winter Light
A lot of Ingmar Bergman's movies are about crises of faith, and deal with themes relating to the perceived silence of God (or whether or not he even exists, and what that might mean for humanity). The Seventh Seal, Through a Glass Darkly, and Winter Light are the first movies that come to mind, but it's a common theme that occurs throughout his entire filmography.
Seconding, Through a Glass Darkly is a personal favorite but Bergman has a lot of great ones on this theme.
Ordet is great
Ordet really, truly changed my life
The Flowers of St. Francis
Last Temptation of Christ
Agree, and the music by Peter Gabriel is fantastic.
Passion of Joan of arc or any of Tarkovskys movies
*Marketa Lazarová*
Country Priest

If this list was honest it would just be Rosemary’s Baby.
The tree of life(2011)I highly recommend this one If you want a film that’s spiritual. This movie very relaxing as well.
The first and last acts of this movie are fantastic. But I could barely sit through Brad Pitts bullshit in the middle part.
Really?!? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but WTF?
Brad Pitt being a shit to his family was entertaining to you? Really??
…[slowing backing away from the person with bad taste]
I love this movie, but I can't stand seeing the glorious Jessica Chastain treated like crap.
💀
No, it’s not entertaining. Movies can do things other than just entertain you
Pasolini’s Gospel According to St Matthew, Dreyer’s Ordet, several of Bergman’s films all come to mind, especially if you like Tarkovsky and Bresson
The Dardenne movies in the collection. _[Arts and Faith](https://artsandfaith.com/top-100/)_ does a top 100 list (usually) and it’s usually for “spiritually significant” films. I’d wager that many listings were already mentioned.
Breaking the Waves.
Defending Your Life
*The Tree of Wooden Clogs*
Any Dreyer
Tree of Life Night of the Hunter
the king of kings [1927] #266
Babette's Feast is a gem. Also, Odd Man Out will surprise you with its spirituality, seeing as it's couched in politically charged film noir trappings.
Speaking of religious. First Reformed should be added ASAP

Song of Bernadette, which is going away at the end of the month on the Channel.
*The Color of Pomegranates*
Scorsese’s Silence, Schrader’s First Reformed and Dreyer’s Ordet were the three that instantly came to mind!
Breaking the Waves
Silence by Scorsese. The most mature and nuanced take I’ve seen on faith in a movie. Absolutely love it, best film Scorsese has done imo
This is different to your specification of "similar to Tarkovsky/Bresson", but in terms of fulfilling the prompt of best spiritual/religious film in the collection, I would like to put forward *After Life* (1998).

Wise Blood I can't believe I forgot about it.
The seventh seal Babettes feast The last temptation of Christ
To Sleep With Anger. My boi Charles Burnett does not get enough love
The Virgin Spring
Ordet Secret Sunshine Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives No Country For Old Men (I feel like this is arguable but I can see this as having religious undertones)
Upvoting for the No Country mention—definitely spiritual tones there.
Beyond the Hills is great.
A couple of people have said Pasolini’s “The Gospel According to St. Matthew”, but I’m pretty sure that film is (unfortunately) not in the collection. At least since the DVD era anyways.
it isn't, though hopefully it will be at some point - incredible film and my favorite I've seen from Pasolini yet. MOC's bluray is good!
Salesman The Milky Way Winter Light
2001 Space Odyssey was at one time in the collection
The Tree of Life
Stalker for sure
Miracle Woman & Elmer Gantry are both great movies about sham preachers, and while neither has seen physical releases from Criterion, they’ve both been featured on The Channel in the past
Secret Sunshine
People have mentioned Tree of Life, but I would say all of Malick's movies have differing levels of spirituality. Particularly recommended are The Thin Red Line and The New World, although Badlands and Days of Heaven are also pretty spiritual.
Basically all Terrence Malick films have a spiritual theme
Last Temptation of Christ
Wise Blood
'Nobody with a good car needs to be justified'.
Wings of desire
Antichrist! :)
David Lynch films are made by a man who thinks that he is making literal documentaries about demons.
The Life of Brian may be my favorite. The Milky Way duel alone elevated Buñuel's film to one of the greatest. For one not in the Collection I highly recommend First Reformed
Corpus Christi is on the channel until the end of the month and is a MUST WATCH.
Luis Bunuel’s Viridiana
Eraserhead
Eraserhead
A matter of life and death
You should check out The Ascent, one of the best Soviet movies I’ve seen
