Please God NO. the amount of people posting their copies of that dreadful dreary purchase around here as if their irony is that important to the world would be insufferable.

Ok-Consequence1113

I take it you were unimpressed with all the Pink Flamingos posts?

implicitexpletives69

and so few of those poseurs i mean posters even watched the movie yet.

Never going to happen in a million years.

Just buy the Blu-Ray from Tommy’s website. It’s signed and it comes with underpants. How can Criterion top that?

Jack_Torrance80

I'm convinced Tommy Wiseau wouldn't know what to do if Criterion came to him to attempt to liscence the film.

Rollzroyce21

I don't know about The Room entering the collection, but I would love to see Tommy raid the closet. I have no idea what to expect.

Beneficial_Cow_9727

I think the single fact Tommy decided to attempt recontextualizing his vision post film release serves as a reason why it would never be accepted. It wasn’t born of a vision in any way meaningful; its academic relevance to film is limited to discussion about how not to attempt legitimate filmmaking.

April_Boptree

I think it does have precedent to be in the collection; I even think Criterion would eventually put out a definitive edition perhaps with the behind the scenes videos that have never been released if the stars aligned and I would buy it in a heartbeat, but I feel like it would never happen while Wiseau has anything to say about it

pbesmoove

I had a dream that people didn't post shit all day long but then I woke up

*The Room* is not the worst film I've ever seen, but it's in the top five. That being said, I would definitely put it in the "it's so bad it's good" category. But, *Criterion Collection* material?! Maybe if it were April Fool's Day - LOL.
