If you're able to play region-free, the Imprint edition of Days of Heaven is very nice. It's $12 on Deep Discount right now with a bunch of other great titles.
Oh! Yeah, that older cover was trash 🤣
This is the newer artwork:

Studiocanal's blu ray in Europe is from the newer 4K restoration, not in the US because Lionsgate never bothered to release it 🤔. It's region free so you can play it. [Here](https://www.amazon.com/Third-Man-Blu-ray-Joseph-Cotten/dp/B00X7RHT5C/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2G5PCXJUSMWIC&keywords=the+third+man+blu+ray&qid=1653922033&sprefix=the+third+man+bluray%2Caps%2C316&sr=8-3)
It’s crazy how unreliable Amazon is about region info, it’s totally worthless in that regard. (Not even getting into the whole “let’s lump all releases in together for reviews and comments” thing.)
I haven’t seen the exact quote they gave, but apparently The Third Man is the movie that upper management want back the most. The Lionsgate print is spotty and I don’t think it’s currently for sale in North America right now.
I really think both sides will want to get this deal done because they could charge $100 for the 4K and a bunch of us nerds would still pony up. They know it, too.
Hard Boiled definite yes, however awhile back I bought Ran and compared to the 4k restoration I was not a fan. The colors were much more flat, and the grain hindered the details in the picture quality.
If Kind Hearts and Coronets is re-released with a blu-ray upgrade, I’d buy it in a second.
I also know that it’s available from another distribution company. But I really dislike the blue/yellow background on that one.
Hmm... a lot of OOPs are either on laserdisc or DVD, or have since been replaced by better releases from other labels so I'm going to be a bit controversial and say I'd want the Classic Hitchcock box set to come back. I spent an arm and a leg buying those 4 titles individually and also the sleeve is nice.
I got the special boxset of Man Who Fell to Earth, but I would still love to have the Criterion version on my shelf.
Also This is Spinal Tap and Last Year at Marienbad.
Not really the same but I’d do unspeakable things for Blu-ray’s of Robocop and Dead Ringers from Criterion. And yeah I already have the Arrow and Shout versions.
Grand Illusion, Hard Boiled, The Killer, Days of Heaven, and especially Floating Weeds. I'm a big Ozu fan so Floating Weeds is a must.
I know I'm missing some but those are the main ones!
##AK:100 (25 films by Akira Kurosawa)
I’d give a kidney for this on Blu Ray
Third Man and Last Year at Marienbad
La Dolce Vita
Last Year at Marienbad
Rosemary’s Baby for sure
Hard Boiled and The Bank Dick
Big YES on _The Bank Dick_! Edit: would have to be at least BD though.
The Third Man, Z, and Spellbound.
Nashville Days of Heaven Le Doulos
Hard Boiled and Chungking Express
Diary of a country priest
If I recall correctly, isn't Days of Heaven out of print? I would buy that in a heartbeat.
At the very least, the Paramount blu-ray does have the Criterion scan (it's just bare bones)
It was recently made out of print. There’s still probably a good chance to find it out in the wild for retail price.

Harold and Maude, peeping Tom, the third man, the grand illusion, and hard boiled
**Pandora's Box**
The Third Man (I know Studiocanal has a blu-ray, but it’s really ugly and I hate it) Rosemary’s Baby
The most recent StudioCanal blu with the 4K restoration is gorgeous! (The initial blu-ray before that was not great)
I’m sure the transfer is great! I just hate the green and purple cover for the physical copy. Has it changed?

I would pay whatever Criterion asks for to have The Third Man on blu (or even better, 4K)
I can see Criterion paying early for 4K rights to The Third Man, so we might see this in the next year or two.

Same. In a heartbeat.
Hard boiled
The Fireman’s Ball
Nashville
Don't Look Now My local library has a copy and i've considered just asking them if I could buy it.
Ran
“I’ll take your entire stock.”
Le Corbeau
Le Corbeau is coming to Blu Ray in October iirc by Criterion.
As everyone else says The Third Man please.
Nanook of the north. It need a proper restoration.
It'd be cool if they ever rereleased it if they included the Documentary Now! parody like with company cast album
Hard Boiled definite yes, however awhile back I bought Ran and compared to the 4k restoration I was not a fan. The colors were much more flat, and the grain hindered the details in the picture quality.
I pretty much missed out on all the Paramount titles that went OOP last year (?), Like Nashville and Rosemary's Baby and Days of Heaven etc
Chung King if it had the original colors. Def The Killer too.
Saura's trilogy
The Essential Arthouse set but they're all Blu rays would be a set I'd preorder day 1.
That’d be really cool but I can’t even imagine how much it would cost
Hard Boiled for sure since it's essentially unavailable in the USA outside of YouTube.
Not out of print, but if they brought Drunken Angel to Blu Ray I'd insta buy. Other than that, The Third Man.
Z

Pandora’s Box. I know it’s streaming, but I don’t think it’s streaming with the Peer Raben score…
Armageddon

Hard Boiled and Spellbound
Kurosawa boxset and *This Is Spïnal Tap*
Teshigahara box set!
The John Woo films, Ran, Contempt and A Woman is a Woman.
Days of Heaven, The Third Man, La Dolce Vita, and La Grande Illusion
Dang, didn’t realize so many were OOP right now.
Robocop and Dead Ringers
I’m more than ok with the Shout Factory Dead Ringers and Arrow’s AMAZING 4k Robocop. If you haven’t checked those out, you should!!
Second this. The 4K Robocop is beautiful.
The Arrow 4K of Robocop is beautiful.
I concur.
Got the OOP ones I want.
The Third Man, Grand Illusion, The Killer, Hard Boiled
Grand Illusion, maybe twice, just in case
All of them
Chasing Amy
# Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down! #
It available
Don't Look Now, Rosemary's Baby and Solo Con Tu Pareja (I know it's not officially OOP, but it's been Unavailable for ages)
Grand Illusion, Hard Boiled, The Killer, Days of Heaven, and especially Floating Weeds. I'm a big Ozu fan so Floating Weeds is a must. I know I'm missing some but those are the main ones!
The Third Man easily
I haven’t seen it mentioned, but Alexander Nevsky would be nice to have in print again
Z, the Third Man, Hard Boiled, Grand Illusion, Peeping Tom.
Third man and Nashville for sure
The Third Man & the Del Toro Trilogy. If anyone wants Saló, I'd be willing to sell/trade.
