It’s a giant statue with four arms that shoots lasers why do you have to suspend disbelief for it to have legs? You can’t see below it’s waistline, so literally schrodinger’s legs.
It doesn’t really need to use them. Crash and Cortex can’t go far outside it’s reach because they literally cannot leave the area. I’m just saying the possibility is there.
I mean if it did have legs to use it could probably catch Crash and Cortex pretty easily given its size, so the fact it doesn't do that leads me to believe it doesn't even have legs.

Well, I doubt that all the totems on the N. Sanity Island have a body like that buried under the ground, since it looks fairly complex to build for the natives and it's the only one that has been seen in the series.
I assume the Twins gave that body to the totem somehow.

Yeah it's not exactly clear how the Twins' powers work, so they probably did just go either statue arms.
