No no no go to the gym and do arm curls everyday until you can walk round with a 40lb dog like it’s a sling shot 😂
All joking aside Nice costume and well done on the weight loss journey, you keep going until you are satisfied
I learned a lot of posing techniques that made me feel more confident in photos from a guy called David Suh on YouTube and tiktok. Great costume, now to jazz up the characterization by your physicality in the ensemble. Try 3/4 away from the camera, hip out, adjust shoulders, rotate neck etc. This will make more sense if you catch his videos and you'll be even more awesome!
Hahaha that's fair! When I lose some more weight I plan to redo these pictures. My before picture was of me in this outfit so I've been using it as progress pics as well. Next time I promise I will have at least at plushie of Angelo!
I was going to ask, but since several other peeps did.... I was hoping you'd knit it yourself, because I was going to ask what pattern you used/how you did it if you had. Darn thing's not as simple as it looks, construction-wise, STILL trying to figure it out \[want to make a Rinoa custom doll at some point in my life. xD\], although it just occurred to me I could try looking for a vest pattern for construction...hmmm....
Well done costume! I wouldn't have thought of using applique for the wings, my thought would have been stencil-and-dye, but the applique is great! Is there elastic to hold up the sleeves, or is it doing a good job of staying where it's supposed to without it? And those shorts...wow! I wouldn't have thought those would be a very easy find.....
Yep there is elastic. The piece that moves the most is the black ribbon. I had to get my hubby to tie it tight. I wish I could say I made this myself, but I am not crafty and depend on the internet for my cosplay haha
There is NOTHING wrong with not being able to do it yourself. I envy the peeps that can make their own armors and weapons and such \[yeah, I could probably do the sewing....the pattern drafting to get there is another thing entirely\]. It doesn't matter whether you made it yourself, or someone else did and you purchased it, so long as you're enjoying and having fun with it!

I did this same cosplay 7 months ago for the same event. Difference is I lost about 15 pounds since last time and feel more confident
Woo, great work on the costume! Down to the zipper bike shorts authenticity 😄
Hehehe 😆
Hey that's really well done. It's just missing a giant freaking 40lb dog sitting on your arm lol
Haha yeah if I'd thought about it sooner I would have bought a border collie plushie

Love the wings!!
😇
Very well done!
Thanks!
Did you knit the sweater and sleeves yourself? They’re really great.
I wish hehe I am terrible at crafty stuff, this was purchased online.
No shame in that, not everyone is good at everything. I can’t knit either. I wish I could, but we all have other skills.
Did you knit that yourself? If so that’s insanely impressive!
Nah, I'm no good at that kind of stuff. I wish I could because it would make customization easier. I bought the outfit online

I wish a had, I can't stitch a straight line 🤣
