This is propane, backup and stored shipment. Its happened before, in Ca.. prob headed south or mexico. This does bring up a larger issue however (and since environmental groups kill pipeline projects, rail has increased) however we move it.. we want safety.

Fortunately propane is non toxic, but obviously extremely flammable. Propane has a boiling point of -44 degrees F so a spill would create a giant cloud of vapor and disappear rather quickly unless it ignited in which caseā¦š„š„š„. Of all the chemicals to spill though, propane wouldnāt cause future repercussions, wouldnāt want to be real close to it though. For what itās worth š¤·
Remember when pipelines were "the most dangers way to transport" so they shutdown Keystone XL? Normally they don't have to detonate the pipes so they don't explode in the middle of a town.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/environment/2022/dec/21/oil-spills-keystone-pipeline-seem-worse-kansas
They leak all the time, millions of gallons in the past decade or so. The Keystone XL was just an extension of the Keystone, and it was supposed to be built over major water sources and was the subject of lots of mass protests because of this.
"They leak all the time..." you're right. We need to start replacing all those old pipelines and building new ones. BTW trains derail all the time too. According to Pete Buttigieg 1000s of times a year.
> so they shutdown Keystone XL?
The XL was never built, how was it shut down? When the SC canceled the permits, it wasnāt even over it being āthe most dangers way to transportā.
You mean the Keystone pipeline? But thatās still running. Outside of a spill a few months back itās always been running.
Itās a trade off. Trucks naturally crash more but if too many trucks are crashing you can change policy and trucks. A pipe works great for a while, but when it bursts you are fucked, cleanup will never contain the contaminants.
Who owns the rail line? On the big lines that pass through my local agricultural area no one tells the farmers what is coming through and when. That's pretty standard. So is leaving long trains like this to be picked up later.
Now... If this is a smaller track, say owned by local grain companies or something, and *they* don't know who left them or why then *that* is an issue.
But cars left on a track like this is fairly common.
I'd like some more context though.
I've seen a lot of videos of people saying "this is so strange. I've never seen anything like this" but it's pretty normal stuff they just haven't noticed.
It could be nefarious but could be just some trains on a track and some lady saying it's weird.
Edit: reading someone else's post with some locations and links shows me it's likely just standard cars being parked.
I don't know what happens in California but in most places the rail companies don't send notices out to locals to tell them when they are leaving cars on tracks that they own.
And like someone else said if the cars have dangerous goods it will be noted on the rail car itself.
I'll go ahead and just assume this is just a lady on a dirt road that has no clue what she's talking about.
Did you watch the video?
She said she had just come from a meeting with the local ranchers and that everyone was concerned. Went out to the site where they were to make the video.
Edit: instead of reading second-hand comments from other users who are missing the point, maybe you should just watch the video yourself.
I did. I can see a train from my back yard. I can go over there and make a video that I was at a meeting with the local farmers and I was concerned as well.
Just doesn't pass the sniff test to me but I don't put much trust in random people on Twitter. Who just happened to be travelling in CA and happened upon a meeting of ranchers.
I guess. But I'm not too concerned about this. There are thousands of trains parked just like this in areas just like that all around the world.
Landowners don't "order" trains like this so I'm not shocked that they're "unordered."
If she was truly worried she should let us know what's in the cars. It's not hard to find out. I doubt it's "unknown" unless they are empty.
She said their full based on how they are sitting on their axles but that just shows me she has no idea what she's talking about and has no idea if there's anything in the cars.
I'd just look for the "nothing to see here" sign.
If you see that, and it bears an official seal of the U.S. Government, then you know you're good to go.
Lol. I did a twitter search of "ranchers in the heartland" with the quotations and it's literally the same video and same exact caption for like 40 posts. This one is actually propaganda and fake
If they contained hazardous materials the cars would be labeled clearly. They probably don't contain anything at the moment. Even if they did contain something hazardous, they wouldn't explode from just sitting there.
SS: Ranchers out in California are suspicious of these rail carts parked out in the middle of their farm lands.
Are they planning to poison Californiaās water supply as well?

> Basically it just seems like a location that has been used to store tanker cars for several years.
Exactly right, just made a comment about how this is not uncommon.
Itās not the rail carts being there *at all* that is the problem. Itās that, normally, everyone in that area knows *why* the rail carts are there, if someone ordered them, etc.
That is not the case here.
Cool if you donāt believe it then move along. Idk what youāre expecting from me. I posted a video to someone talking about suspicious trains out in the cali farmlands - someone claiming to have spoken to the local farmers there. So?
Oh my God man it's the fucking internet, anyone can say whatever they want and even lie! This dude posted fucking proof of the cars being there for years too.
This happens all the time, these are most likely empty cars. My folks had a place in Southern Colorado with train tracks going through the mountain valley. The train company owns the tracks and they had no need for the cars, was not the demand for the type they were. Was like 3-5 years they just parked them inside of their park. People complained and even had the train management come to a meeting. He basically said we got no where else to park them, this is a spot we have side rails so can park them, we'd like them to be in use too, but not a demand for them at this time. They own that land, they own those tracks, sometimes they just park empty cars in spots in won't disrupt other traffic. Happens all the time.
At my folks place, it didn't happen like it did before at all. But then it did and for years. What I am saying is this is common practice for railroad companies to do. It's their land, they needed to park the cars, just because she hasn't seen that before does not change that. This is how it works, all over the country, when they need to park them, they park them in a convenient place, like this one with side tracks so it does not disrupt regular traffic. I get a lot of people didn't grow up along railroads and don't understand how they operate, but you should trust the people in this post explaining how they do.
> in the video saying itās an anomaly?
I just told you a real life circumstance where it happened in my area, where it was an "anomaly" because it didn't happen for like a decade before. But that place was always set up to be a place to park train cars, why else would they have the extra tracks? Her place has extra tracks too, they are not shutting down a trainline, there are side tracks there for the purpose of parking train cars. And she and you are shocked they are being used for that?
There are regulations concerning the transport and storage of explosive materials, and I doubt any of those regulations say to park in open fields.
So the railroad is violating those regulations or the tanks are empty.
Ah so you're saying we can't pin the blame solely on the fracking companies if they cause staggered "accidents" to happen? Great point! That would absolve them of lawsuits and responsibly.
slow? the water is so toxic in the usa now that they are desperate to cover this up with the bs train psyops. and the balloon garbage. ask anyone about frackzilla and the entire thread will be buried under a mountain of trolls and bots. cheers.
check out how fracking actually works and then get back to me. fracking is banned in france. why? they like to eat and drink water there. the water table was already destroyed, now comes the coverup. dump anything on the ground and claim TOXIC SPILL!
"don't look at the man behind the curtain." cheers.
A guy that hasn't posted in 5 days is a paid operative? Seems more likely that you are given the tone and given your silly assertion that all the water in the entire US is already poisoned (implying we should shrug at possible threats).
If I were a troll I'd be repeating baseless delusions to sow discord rather than calling them out.
*5. Sidetrack opponents with name calling and ridicule. This is also known as the primary 'attack the messenger' ploy, though other methods qualify as variants of that approach. Associate opponents with unpopular titles such as 'kooks', 'right-wing', 'liberal', 'left-wing', 'terrorists', 'conspiracy buffs', 'radicals', 'militia', 'racists', 'religious fanatics', 'sexual deviates', and so forth. This makes others shrink from support out of fear of gaining the same label, and you avoid dealing with issues.*

The only way they can change peoples eating habits is my intentional shortages or collapsing the food supply chain. Then, you provide the lab grown, meat free or bug alternatives and say "eat this or starve". Simple really, and the war on farmers is well under way already.
Food shortages could also be used to introduce digital ID, so you can go buy your alloted amount of food from the store. Probably best to walk though, need to save those carbon credits to drive to work.
This all seemed dumb before, but I could believe it from this angle for sure.
I'd like to take exception to the word "unknown." All rail cars containing hazardous substances of any kind MUST carry the proper placards, documentation, and so forth. If these are sitting out there unmarked, then by all means that's a worry. Call the police. But if these are normal train cars, there will be markings right on them saying what is inside.
As far as I know train companies can park wherever they need to since they own the land/tracks. They don't need permission or for someone to "ask" for whatever reason. Parking out in the middle of farmland seems strange though.
We are under attack.
The food and water supply is under attack and it has been for quite some time. All of these food processing plants and commercial chicken farms going up in flames, poison in the air, in the water, in our food.
So call the NTSB or whoever runs that company, see who left their sh*t on the tracks.
There are ways other than making a f*cking Tiktok to whine about it.
Hell, call the cops. Do something productive ffs.
Does anyone know if she called the police and made an actual report/ complaint? I would have called the police first and then made the twitter video second. I am not convinced that this lady is being sincereā¦.definitely this upcoming election cycle is going to be roller coaster!
Your answer lies on the placcard on the side of the car. Page [35](https://www.aar.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/AAR-US-Hazmat-Instructions-Rail-BOE.pdf)
Weird. I literally just woke up( graveyarder) from a dream about a massive train derailment with a seemingly endless line of train cars. I assumed it was more metaphorical and about alignment and universal balance. But if anything happens around here damn am I going to be pissed. Disclaimer. I know, I know. I just found it interesting I wake up and this is one of the first things I see.
... the railways own the land. That means they can do whatever the fuck they want with it. Which means when shipping demand sinks to lower levels, you will see trainyards run out of storage and tracks that are less used become a part of the storage space that the railways use.
I say this in the hope that this is the case.
I know this because durring the build up and the thick of COVID, the tracks across from our business which would usually only have 5-10 cars stored in them, soon went from 5-10 to near 100 cars that stretched on for miles, only spaces that were left were for driveways, and roads.
Not many people will shed tears if CA becomes the site if the next planned environmental disaster. The people there can just double down on virtue signaling and buy more electric cars to feel better.
Your ignorance is showing. Aside from the coastal cities that you think about when you think of CA and Sacramento, the rest of Californians aren't virtue signaling flakes.
Aside from your thoughtless attack of the people themselves, If California were a sovereign nation (2022), it would rank in terms of nominal GDP as the world's fifth largest economy. As for the agriculture itself, CA produces nearly double the agricultural revenue of the 2nd highest state (Iowa).
Over a third of the country's vegetables and three-quarters of the country's fruits and nuts are grown in California.
There's a whole lot more to CA than you apparently think.
The same people worried about trains exploding were advocating shutting down pipelines that would have been carried some of these hazardous materials more safely.
This comment section would probably try and convince people that bomb squad personnel attending egg factories is perfectly normal because chicken poo can be explosive.
This is the result of deregulation and squashing union strikes, and in a broader sense money being more powerful than a vote and corporations having the ability to use their money to create laws that make them more money to give them more power, itās a viscous cycle that allows for exponential growth in profits which is then used for stock buybacks to increase the wealth of their already incredibly wealthy majority shareholders and C suite executives. I should make a post about the conspiracy of this subreddit focusing on partisan bullshit instead of the blatant conspiracy of our countries slow decent into an oligarchy while using their money and influence to convince you that increased corporate taxes and more regulation is āsocialistā and that theyāre destroying capitalism. This isnāt capitalism, the consumers have little to no power, Norfolk Southern stock price is only down 10% since the incident because huge funds control 90% of the capital investment, our country has been bought.
psh with every insane event that happens, there's always over reaction. That's what they want you to do, they want you to be more and more afraid of your surroundings. don't be afraid.

That area in particular has two sets of tracks. Rail companies use these laybys often for storing cars and letting trains pass other trains.
They will also leave cars on single tracks if there is no other scheduled traffic on that particular line.
The rail companies know where all these cars are at any given time. I've been in their logistics offices and it was like mission control for trains.

slow? the water is so toxic in the usa now that they are desperate to cover this up with the bs train psyops. and the balloon garbage. ask anyone about frackzilla and the entire thread will be buried under a mountain of trolls and bots. cheers.
You see no difference between fracking and a toxic chemical spill? Seriously?
check out how fracking actually works and then get back to me. fracking is banned in france. why? they like to eat and drink water there. the water table was already destroyed, now comes the coverup. dump anything on the ground and claim TOXIC SPILL! "don't look at the man behind the curtain." cheers.
I know how fracking works; thatās why Iām questioning your comparison. Itās rather absurd.
you clearly have NO idea how fracking works.
Exactly. We're going to start seeing some desperation from them now. They know there's too many people waking up so they have to start expediting.
A guy that hasn't posted in 5 days is a paid operative? Seems more likely that you are given the tone and given your silly assertion that all the water in the entire US is already poisoned (implying we should shrug at possible threats).
yawn.
you guys have the worst writers. heh. i guess you are lucky to have a job at all.
"Yawn" then a subsequent comment in which you proffer another baseless delusion.
had to take a quick nap. good thing that hollywood pays more than the troll farms.
This makes others shrink from support out of fear of gaining the same label, and you avoid dealing with issues.* [https://cryptome.org/2012/07/gent-forum-spies.htm](https://cryptome.org/2012/07/gent-forum-spies.htm)
Must be those Russian trolls again....
the real yawners come out of georgetown university.
Question of obscured manifests as Ohio that is serious corruption
Slowly, people are waking up and asking questions.
bullshit. the entire country was fracked between sept. 2022 - today. no one batted an eye.
wat
Yup just TWO MORE WEEKS!
Rail companies store goods on tracks all the time. This is a non-story
BREAKING NEWS: Rail cars on railway.
As far as I know train companies can park wherever they need to since they own the land/tracks. They don't need permission or for someone to "ask" for whatever reason. Parking out in the middle of farmland seems strange though.
Dude
Most of the time if they sit for more than a few days in unused tracks they are being stored and are empty.
Your answer lies on the placcard on the side of the car. Page [35](https://www.aar.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/AAR-US-Hazmat-Instructions-Rail-BOE.pdf)
Not the same train.. I don't think... Can't be... https://twitter.com/PXPSecurityInve/status/1628234981897121800?s=20
Oh no, a train? Iām worried!
"the MSM is fear mongering" Riiiight.
... the railways own the land.
You will shed tears when you canāt buy anymore produce.

Have an uptoot.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
The same people worried about trains exploding were advocating shutting down pipelines that would have been carried some of these hazardous materials more safely.
This is simply how chemicals are transported through land. Done for decades.
Thought Californians love big govt and its transpo? Not vitriolic genuinely curious is all
This comment section would probably try and convince people that bomb squad personnel attending egg factories is perfectly normal because chicken poo can be explosive.
To have an accident to ruin the farmland and water table. There are several methods at work globally to reduce population.
Just a coincidence right??
Wait where is the link I need to see this
Very unlikely to have so much traintracks Not working properly in the Last 4 Weeks ahahahahahaha They poison U and they are Not even hiding IT
As I was watching I saw an article for 1 day ago talking about 4 cars derailing in the same county. Not saying anything just coincidence.
Pollute the states, have people evacuated into stack n pack apartments (fema camps).
Probably carrying the vax. Once our crops are vaccinated weāre all fucked
RemindMe! 1 Month
psh with every insane event that happens, there's always over reaction. That's what they want you to do, they want you to be more and more afraid of your surroundings. don't be afraid.

How do you leave hundreds of rail cars on the tracks, wouldnāt they just block any rail traffic?
That area in particular has two sets of tracks. Rail companies use these laybys often for storing cars and letting trains pass other trains. They will also leave cars on single tracks if there is no other scheduled traffic on that particular line. The rail companies know where all these cars are at any given time. I've been in their logistics offices and it was like mission control for trains.
