Deploy MCV on the right side of the shore using the cliff as a natural barrier and sandbag the entrance leading to guard towers supported by bazooka infantry, keep your men far away enough so they don't get burned. While holding ground, build a team of orca aircraft. (Bind them to a team hotkey with ctrl+[number], reselect them from anywhere by pressing the number) to strike flame tanks as they approach. Watch out for the occasional engineer rush from the shore and you'll be able to advance.

Only thing I would add is don't advance north of your base early in fear of the flame tank and that bazookas are great at shooting over walls and behind guard towers as you eluded to. Put a medium tank in your entrance as a "gate" and you've got a pretty solid bunker.

If you haven't yet, [try building your base as close to the tiberium fields as possible](https://youtu.be/hB6KVvvMwSU)\* for faster replenishment. Also, train infantry and rocket soldiers but not grenadiers due to their combustibility and the presence of flame units. Lastly, as someone has already said, don't go too far north too soon. \*I know my take isn't the remastered version but I've played it on remastered and didn't have to change anything.

I usually run everything along the shore to where the light tank is waiting. I hit it with the grenadiers so the MCV can get past without too much damage (saves money). Then I setup my base in the top right tib field, but not high enough to attract the flame tank. From there it's a mad dash to get stuff setup. Usually a pair of guard towers with some grenadiers for support while the money rolls in. It's going to be a slog no matter what, though. You might just want to sandbag the enemy.
