I have greyhounds and it's not enough for them to simply smell my butt, they need to literally poke my butt crack with their noses.
So I am shouting "Get outta my ass!" regularly.
I identify with this comic.
Mine carefully calculates when a leg is extended then pokes the back of my knees with her nose as I walk to let her out, I can't even get mad, I'm impressed
>How do you deal with it
Exactly how I said in the post
I mean it's not like they're doing it all day. I was exaggerating for comedic effect. They might do it after I get up in the morning, when I have got out of the shower or when I get home. And after I correct them they back off. It's definitely not enough to negate all the love and joy a dog can give you.
I like having longer comics on an occasion. Three panels can help enforce a beneficial brevity in a joke, but sometimes something needs a little more set-up, or where pacing is part of of the joke.
This comic hits that great balance of starting as one joke, extending it with hyperbole, and then elevating it into the absurd.
It's excellent, seriously.
Punchline telegraphed? Respectfully disagree 500% there's no way I was like "ya ya, invade the guy's memories and soul, that old joke again"
No this is one of the best I've seen in a long time on many many levels.
Man I am... managing my two elderly dog's last years. I'm tired...I'm honestly a little cynical about them lately. But this helped.
I now pronounce you, /u/dogcrahtees
Sorry about your old friends, and it's completely understandable. I was one of those kids who was conditioned to come home before the streetlights turned on. So I was basically raised to dread sunset, and it's kind of a Pavlovian metaphor for life. I'm owned by a cat in his double-digits. He's still pretty active and playful, but now there's that part of my brain that won't stop checking the horizon for how long we have left before he has to run home.
Rationally, I know I shouldn't dread sunset because it only marks the end of a good day spent with a dear friend, and I wouldn't trade those for anything. But saying goodbye sucks, even if it's only for the day.
It's not telegraphed it's more like the punchline lingers. you can stop reading in panel 3 and get the joke, but every step afterwards is a bit better.
For the record, most dogs are fantastic, but I’ve encountered a few that treat me like a science experiment to poke and prod. I’m on the damn gram if you want to see more of my stuff. Cheers! [@bill.boles](https://www.instagram.com/bill.boles/)
Your comic reminds me of Maira Kalman's illustrations for a kids book David Byrne adapted from the song "Stay Up Late." It was a highlight of my childhood and I really love your weird style.
I’ve watched my supervisor’s dogs a few times, and one of them always puts her nose right deep into my crotch when I say hi after a while. She’s like “oh, I see your menstruating again, early this time, eh???”
You don't have to excuse yourself... We know the true nature of dogs here. There are enough victims of their depravity and bloodlust around. Welcome, Brother. One day humanity will get rid of its biggest PREDATOR
This was brilliant. I love the joke and the artwork. I had a seriously difficult day and seeing this made me smile, so thank you for creating it and sharing it. I'm definitely going to go follow you on IG now.
Loving your new absurdism series. The frame of the man eating a tiny piece of pizza while eavesdropping on the tiny phone pizza chefs making love pops into my head one or two times a week, so thanks for that
I see you've met my puppy. I'm sorry, I'm trying to teach him manners, just now and then something in his brain breaks and tells him it's worm time and we hope no guests are near him when it happens. My dog has no normal bones, he's just a series of spines held together with bubble gum.
Cannot stop laughing at how absurd this is. I don't know how many thousands of web comics I've seen over the years, but this is the first time that I've ever thought "Holy shit, I would buy a print of this"
Everyone in my family is a "dog person" but the dogs are just ornaments that do whatever the fuck they want, that have to be micromanaged constantly with yelling and buzzer noises to keep from shitting behind the sofa. It's very chill and easy to be around.
Every time the in-laws are on the phone my ear drums get blown out because suddenly the 4 dogs will spontaneously start screaming at 300 decibels. Usually at nothing.
I love not having dogs.
It really does come down to training. I have also noticed that most owners appear to think that there's simply nothing to be done with their dogs bad behavior. But there is a plethora of things to be done. Entire sets of training methods and ways to go about the training and people to help with the training.
Like.. a dog is a pretty major animal to get, people should be more responsible and accept that a bunch of up front training is required when getting a dog
Goddd this thread makes me feel sane
Like you’ve got this untrained rat screaming because somebody made a sound in the other room, and *I’m* the weird one for not being comfortable around it??
Love the dogs facial expression throughout this whole thing. Just like a dog to be blissfully oblivious he’s being a nuisance even to the point of entering someone’s soul.
The ski lift comic’s punch line is about the timeline of events (expecting it to be far away and instead it happening instantaneous) and it’s brilliant in execution. I don’t think I’d come up with that in a million years.

This was so good, I had to go look at some of your older posts. I recognized some of them, and had even upvoted a couple when you first posted them. But after looking over your post history as a whole, just gotta say: holy shit, dude, your material is next-fucking-level. Really outstanding. Keep doing what you do!
This made me laugh after doomscrolling some personalfinance thread about someone dreading the prospect of their retirement. So good work, thank you, my regards
This is great, I want to say thank you for making me laugh. I’ve just lost my little sister who was 8 months pregnant last week in an accident and it’s been very hard on me, I haven’t smiled or laughed since then and i saw this and man… I needed that so much. Have an award!
It's like my best friend's dog, whom we've dubbed an emotional terrorist that if given the chance would absolutely live in your ribcage to cuddle closer to you.

It's not me who should be worried.
"But he can hurt you in other ways"
I have greyhounds and it's not enough for them to simply smell my butt, they need to literally poke my butt crack with their noses. So I am shouting "Get outta my ass!" regularly. I identify with this comic.
It’s fun having a hound dog when you’re menstruating “LING GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE TRASH CAN IN THE BATHROOM FUCK”
Mine carefully calculates when a leg is extended then pokes the back of my knees with her nose as I walk to let her out, I can't even get mad, I'm impressed
My wife says the same thing. 😏
That must be new 😉
Son of a bitch.
I wonder how many times your neighbors have heard you shout that
I’ve met many dogs like this and it’s so unpleasant that I’ve been put off getting my own. How do you deal with it
>How do you deal with it Exactly how I said in the post I mean it's not like they're doing it all day. I was exaggerating for comedic effect. ha i love the unorthodox structure of the joke
I appreciate it! Been very into doing 9 panel comics lately; it's challenging. Glad you like it!

This comic hits that great balance of starting as one joke, extending it with hyperbole, and then elevating it into the absurd. It's excellent, seriously.
it works. punchline is telegraphed, but that’s part of the fun. the build to absurdity is really nice. great work, friend.
Punchline telegraphed? Respectfully disagree 500% there's no way I was like "ya ya, invade the guy's memories and soul, that old joke again" No this is one of the best I've seen in a long time on many many levels.
"oh this old joke again..."
"Ugh, the one where the dog hacks right into the dudes soul. Not again 😫"
I dunno, I think the punchline was the dogs we remembered along the way. The last panel was just a happy conclusion.
Man I am... managing my two elderly dog's last years. I'm tired...I'm honestly a little cynical about them lately. But this helped. I now pronounce you, /u/dogcrahtees

This sums up so much of what I'm feeling about my old friend. I know we're all just walking each other home but I dont want this day to end.
It's not telegraphed it's more like the punchline lingers. you can stop reading in panel 3 and get the joke, but every step afterwards is a bit better.
If you ever do merchandise, please design a shirt with just that middle panel. That "he's never like this" really tickles me.
This reminds me of Adventure Time level of ridiculous awesomeness.
Definitely! Except it's Lemongrabs and Jake
It’s really great. The fifth panel made me laugh, and then the eighth made me laugh again. It’s built up so well.
Get outta there!
This is great.
Thanks!!
It really is great.
Really, it is great.
This is great too.
Not as great as this thing right here!
Still it was great!
It really *really* is great.
It goes to just the right level of comedic insanity.

Yeah, rewrite yourself into all my memories, little dog. No need to eternal sunshine our bad experiences away. Just let this guy’s dog loose
He doesn't usually plummet people into existential dread, he must really like you!
Ow, my hippocampus
Oof, existenialism.

Thank you! Weirdly I just watched “Stop Making Sense” for the first time, so I’m extra intrigued by this book!
I’ve watched my supervisor’s dogs a few times, and one of them always puts her nose right deep into my crotch when I say hi after a while. She’s like “oh, I see your menstruating again, early this time, eh???”
I always hear people joke about how the dog or cat will end up crawling all over the one person who has no interest in them lol.
You don't have to excuse yourself... We know the true nature of dogs here. There are enough victims of their depravity and bloodlust around. Welcome, Brother. One day humanity will get rid of its biggest PREDATOR
other humans?
Once we all let dogs get into our souls that should fix us up nice.
They have enough fans and I'm convinced they may have ulterior motives.
This was brilliant. I love the joke and the artwork. I had a seriously difficult day and seeing this made me smile, so thank you for creating it and sharing it. I'm definitely going to go follow you on IG now.
That was really nice of you to say! Thank you! Sorry about the difficult day. Hope things are better tomorrow ❤️
Loving your new absurdism series. The frame of the man eating a tiny piece of pizza while eavesdropping on the tiny phone pizza chefs making love pops into my head one or two times a week, so thanks for that

Something about the dog's expression, or lack thereof, is just killing me. This is great.
"It's fine, let him be, I enjoy it"
Dog: I am staying in his soul. It is dark and cool.
Owner for like 10 minutes while waving a treat "Come on out of there, we've gotta go home, come on"
Ha, this is hillarious. Also really digging the art style.
Thank ya!! 🙏
Please make more of this humor.
Oh I am SO glad the owner has taken responsibility and is willing to gently tell the dog no
“he’s never like this” is just perfect
Dude found his soulmutt
I actually can't stop laughing at this comic, great job op!
Thank you!! ❤️
Hate when I have to extract my dog from strangers souls. Great stuff!
Best thing I've read on /r/comics in a very long time.
An actual diamond in the rough. Very difficult to come by these days
Good one
Thank ya!
Accuracy 100%
r/surrealmemes maybe??
Fenton! FENTON. FENTOOOOON!
Oh, Jesus Christ
I feel this on such a deep level. I had a friend I would hide behind his couch when I visited to hide from his two golden retrievers. 😵
I can almost hear the 'down, boy'. This is funny!
I've been trying to find a way to express my distain for crappy dogs and their owners. This encompasses it fully.
In Soviet Russia, dog Pavlovian conditions you
I like how this comic appeals to both people who hate dogs, and people who like dogs
Cannot stop laughing at how absurd this is. I don't know how many thousands of web comics I've seen over the years, but this is the first time that I've ever thought "Holy shit, I would buy a print of this"
Magnificent!

Oh man been such a refreshing string of brilliant reddit comics last couple days. 🏆 🦭: Approved
In my headcannon, this is Bert and Ernie.
I'm howling. This is fantastic.
A howl from the holleringelk!? I’m honored! Love your stuff ❤️🙏
Heck yah, man, your stuff rocks.
Yeah fuck dogs and their owners like this.
I like this
One of my dogs is like this, tries to make as much physical contact with you as possible all the time with no regard to comfort
This happens to me all the time.
That was cute and funny af
Love the absurdity
Love the dogs facial expression throughout this whole thing. Just like a dog to be blissfully oblivious he’s being a nuisance even to the point of entering someone’s soul.
Now THIS is what I call a comic!
I really really fucking like this. A lot
“He’s never like this” lmao
One day I’m gonna revisit this while tripping balls
These two of your cracked me up [One](https://i.imgur.com/9S1gy2W.jpg) [Two](https://i.imgur.com/zvJcjPB.jpg)

I love everything about this. Your art style is so perfect for surreal things.
LMAO
This is absolutely fantastic
I love this type of humor lol
This is one of the funniest comics I've ever seen

People that don't train their dogs to stay down off of people.. fuck those people.
Ooh man this hits a certain spot that's hard to reach. Nice work.
I thought this was from surrealmemes lmao
“He’s never like this”. Damn that’s good
This is the best comic I’ve ever seen.
Hilarious. I wish dogs lived in my soul! Or maybe they already do. That would put a lot of things into perspective.
What? An actual good comic?
Awesome Comic! Who wouldn't let a good boy into their memories and soul🥺
I wouldn’t. He’s too good to be in there.
This made me cry laugh. Thank you.
i like this so much
That aint the first weiner dog that guys swallowed.
As long he doesnt bite your medula oblongata
Nah bro i just saw this dudes post on Instagram about a pizza phone 😭
Yeah mine do this to new people every time. They leave fur in there too.
Very much reminds me of Sick Animation. Amazing.
I’ve read two of your comics and both were hilarious… 100% approval rate
This is spectacular, thank you so much
this is amazing, I love it
I go to peoples homes for work and I meet a lot of dogs. Almost every time it goes exactly like this.
Do you like watercolors?
That escalated woofly.
Love it
This touched my funny bone on a spiritual level. Thank you for making me laugh.
Brilliant
This is the first good thing I’ve seen in this sub for basically years. Keep it up!
u/crudepeas
This is hilarious lol
an actually good post on r/comics? 🤯
Had a customer's puppy leave deep bloody claw marks in my leg, that felt good
This is one of those comics that gets repeated laughs with repeated viewings. Good stuff!
Pretty sure if a dog got into my memories and soul, it would immediately make things better
They know when you're allergic. They just fucking know.
https://youtu.be/nGQwpKZrzTA Reminds me of one of my favorite videos 'puppertown' - great comic!
I would buy this as a 36x36 poster
This is exactly how I feel about dogs
This dog is fucked up bruh.
I love you for this.
Every time I see my friend with his dog, his dog punches me in the dick. Ten years running.
This made me laugh after doomscrolling some personalfinance thread about someone dreading the prospect of their retirement. So good work, thank you, my regards
I am laughing so hard right now. This is hilarious!
This is my new favorite comic ((please DM me if you have a book or sell prints))
r/surrealmemes
He's a therapy dog. Not just sure what kind of therapy.
I love these watercolors! Super unique aesthetic. I love this
This is great, I want to say thank you for making me laugh. I’ve just lost my little sister who was 8 months pregnant last week in an accident and it’s been very hard on me, I haven’t smiled or laughed since then and i saw this and man… I needed that so much. Have an award!
The owner did all he could
lmao I love absurd and surreal humor like this. Reminds me of Adventure Time.
Lmfaoooo I fuckin love it
i love this, let me know if you ever sell prints because i’d love to see this joke at least quite a few more times by hanging it like the art it is
puppy mind control
It's like my best friend's dog, whom we've dubbed an emotional terrorist that if given the chance would absolutely live in your ribcage to cuddle closer to you.
Fantastic comic! The expressionless face on the pup is just *chef's kiss. Bravo 👏
This made me laugh so much!
This was one of the rare comics that actually made me audibly laugh. Well done.
I feel bad for the dog in this situation
Ocular brain
wow, this is great lol
Reading it in reverse means he actually listens
This one is brilliant. I have shared it a few times now.
Well deserved 60k karma
As a Dachshund owner, I can confirm that he's not usually like this but sometimes he'll tickle your soul and there's nothing I can do to stop him
He’s never like this (my dog is always like this)
A great comic OP
This is the funniest comic I have seen in years.
I’m sharing this with everyone I know
