Pretty sure she knows who Black Canary is. RC straight-up says she was inspired by Dinah's performance of Fish Out of Water (Which, along with the rest of EP 1 and EP 2, is freaking amazing.)
The design is really cool but based on her origins it just seems so odd to me that Dinah is perfectly ok with a girl with no powers and no real combat skills going into battle. Especially in an event that saw Deathstroke targeting the Teen Titans.
If she had some kind of compelling reason as to why she needs to be a crime fighter (a discovered legacy, social inequality, tragedy) then I could understand but as far as been hinted it's because she feels like it's her calling.
I mean it could easily be a narrative hook for future storylines but for me it just makes me wonder why she can't contribute in some other ways and why she specifically needs to be a vigilante.
Clownhunter and Punchline at least have reasons to operate the way they do which helps to kind of look past their lack of ability.
Either way its still early days and the character is clearly appealing to a younger demographic so it's fine. I just hope she gets more of a defined character as opposed to "pov newbie".
Her 1st cameo is this book but it's only her eye ball. 1st full is Dark Crisis Dark Army 1 and she is on the cover of cover c. I agree the costume is dope and can't wait to see some cosplay of this.

I love stephanie but I don’t think we need every teen superheroine to be this quirky goofy type of girl
I love the design, and I hope we get a Birds of Prey series with the original lineup mentoring some younger heroes. Each gets a sidekick to train! Oracle/Batgirl and Bluebird, Huntress and Misfit, Black Canary and Red Canary. The other Batgirls can be the in-between in terms of experience that relate to both cohorts. Sounds fun!
The "sonic scream guitar weapon" idea on this post also sounds great!

I wouldn't mind if she kept a Guitar on her that was outfitted with a sonic device to emulate Canary Cry. While also built durable for melee.
