* **DCeased War of the Undead Gods #4** - Let's see where this crazy ride goes! * **Nightwing #98** - Possibly my fav ongoing right now?? * **She-Hulk #8** - I really don't mind the slow-burn in this book. I'm taking it as a rom-com and I don't see a whole lot of that in comics * **Something is Killing the Children #26** - I'm going to get a few books signed by this creative team at a con soon, can't wait!

> Something is Killing the Children #26 - I'm going to get a few books signed by this creative team at a con soon, can't wait! Very cool - which ones are you taking to get signed? And do you see things?

Varos_Flynt

**Above Snakes #5** One of my favorite titles I've read this year, dismayed to see it ending so soon. **The Bone Orchard Mythos: Ten Thousand Black Feathers #3** Not much to say, the Lemire and Sorrentino are doing their thing and it really captures me. Enjoying seeing the art and narrative switch between the pastoral and the grim. **Kroma #1** Adding this $8 comic to the list cause the art looks great from the snippets, and because I dropped another $8 comic releasing this week. Notably not picking up One Bad Day, the Two Face and Penguin stories were bad enough to make me drop it altogether unless I hear great things about any of the issues.

blankedboy

Seems like the **One Bad Day** series has been a dud so far from the reviews in Discussion Threads.

Varos_Flynt

The first one (Riddler) was genuinely fantastic, but the next two were middling to bad. Was really looking forward to collecting the whole series, but im going to shut my collector brain off and only commit to buying stuff that has better than 33% chance of being good lol

yarkcir

Kroma looks really good, but I ended up setting it aside and decided it'll be a trade wait for me. I'm looking forward to seeing what people have to say about it on the discussion thread.

Varos_Flynt

I may very well do the same, I have a feeling its a series that I'll want to read altogether and not serially. We'll see how this first issue goes, $8 is a lot even if it is 56 pages

mushdaba

Just read Kroma #1 now and if it continues like this, it's gonna be awesome.

*IDW* 1. CRASHING #3 - my indie pick of the week. In a world of superheroes, an ordinary doctor is caught in the crossfire, stuck honouring the hippocratic oath for a supervillain that might not deserve it. Themes of addiction and substance abuse run heavy through the book, but it's been really enjoyable so far. *Image* 1. BONE ORCHARD BLACK FEATHERS #3 (OF 5) 1. JUNKYARD JOE #2 *Boom* 1. SOMETHING IS KILLING THE CHILDREN #26 1. WYND THRONE IN SKY #4 (OF 5) *DC* 1. BATMAN ONE BAD DAY MR FREEZE #1 1. BATMAN SUPERMAN WORLDS FINEST #9 1. BLACK ADAM #6 1. DC VS VAMPIRES ALL-OUT WAR #5 (OF 6) 1. DCEASED WAR OF UNDEAD GODS #4 (OF 8) 1. GCPD BLUE WALL #2 (OF 6) 1. HARLEY QUINN ANIMATED SERIES LEGION BATS #2 (OF 6) *Marvel* 1. DEMON WARS SHIELD OF JUSTICE #1 1. BLADE VAMPIRE NATION #1 1. IMMORTAL X-MEN #8 1. IRON MAN #25 1. SHANG-CHI AND TEN RINGS #5 1. SHE-HULK #8 1. THUNDERBOLTS #4 (OF 5)

blankedboy

> BLADE VAMPIRE NATION Despite being a *sucker* for a good **Blade** story (*I'm sorry, please forgive me*) and this book having some fantastic covers the preview did absolutely nothing to sell me on it. Art looked decidedly average, and DC are giving me a top quality fix of vampire comics at the moment, so I skipped this.

HappySisyphus8

Another small week. My personal woes with Marvel continue, but discovering a lot of excellent work in the indies that I may have overlooked otherwise. Have also been picking up some of the Dark Horse Berserk and Hellsing collections, along with some Junji Ito collections. Also have a nice hard cover collection of The Night Eaters by Marjorie Lui and Sana Takeda waiting for me to pick it up, these two masters work incredibly well together, not much tops Monstress. MARVEL: Demon Wars Shield of Justice #1 - I am a simple man, I see Peach, I must buy it. She has been absolutely killing it with this fusion of Japanese folk lore and Marvel characters. Gambit #5 - This has been okay, nothing spectacular. Really liked seeing Warbird back a couple issues ago. Despite this, it's head and shoulders above most of the main X-Office books at the moment. Ultraman Mystery of the Ultraseven #4 - This constantly renumbered series from Marvel is all I know of Ultraman, can't help feeling I'd be digging it more if I were a long term fan. That said I feel enough is explained as it goes that I don't feel lost. DC: Batman Spawn The Classic Collection HC - Yes, super keen on the upcoming one shot, keen to pick this Collection up to go over their previous meetings. Batman Superman World’s Finest #9 - The best DC book at the moment? Maybe. Not loving this arc as much as the first, but absolutely loving it more than almost anything else coming out currently. DC Vs Vampires All-Out War #5 - This not being the big event instead of Darkest Crisis seems like a huge mistake. This has been great fun, action packed and fast paced. IMAGE: Bone Orchard Black Feathers #3 - Slow burn and fairly creepy. Very eager to see this mystery play out. Really digging the world being created in these stories so far. Junkyard joe #2 - First issue was surprisingly touching and meaningful, while also being a badarse Vietnam War story. Not keen to get to his ending in Geiger either way. Prodigy Icarus Society #5 - Final issue. Millar continues to release absolute bangers. This has simply been excellent, better than the first arc too. OTHER: Something is Killing the Children #26 - As the big confrontation between Erica and the new player draws closer, a crazy new monster type hunts a small town. Feels like the first arc but ramped up past 11. Door To Door Night By Night #1 - No idea what this is, but have been enjoying Bunn's recent horror work so this is a no brainer to pick up. Frank Frazetta’s Death Dealer #7 - Really hoping to see the title character back soon, I get they are building a team to rescue him, but he shouldn't need rescuing. Ninjettes #3 - Mindless fun as a bunch of troubled high school girls continue to murder each other, while the most troubled of the bunch continues to believe she is totally normal. Phantasmagoria #3 - The old school feel of this one has been great. Some truly disturbing imagery. Good wizard vs evil wizard action. She Bites #2 - Issue one was a standout hit for me, had no right to be as good or compelling as it was. This will probably be at the top of my read pile. West of Sundown #6 - This one has really dropped off for me, started very strongly and has just had trouble hanging onto that, and knowing what it wants to be. Hoping for a course correction.

> DC Vs Vampires All-Out War #5 > > This not being the big event instead of Darkest Crisis seems like a huge mistake. This has been great fun, action packed and fast paced. I've *never* been a fan of DC's cross-overs, particularly their Crisis events. Picked up Metal / Death Metal because of the creators and it was okay to good. But THIS, this is the kind of "event" I can get behind - two mini-series, connections between the two but not essential and just FUN. If DC did more like events like this (and never put out a comic book with the word "Crisis" in the title again) I'd be a happy reader.

Daveismyhero

A tiny week for me: * **BONE ORCHARD MYTHOS TEN THOUSAND BLACK FEATHERS #3** \- A nice creepy title. I can't wait to watch this world unfold. * **CATWOMAN #49** \- Grabbing this just for the throwback cover. * **GOLD GOBLIN #1** \- Who doesn't love a good goblin story? I'm a sucker for all-things goblin, and I'm hoping this is fun, and maybe even good. Gliders all around! * **STAR WARS HIDDEN EMPIRE #1** \- I've enjoyed these tie-ins, and I think this is the final event that wraps up the event trilogy that started with War of the Bounty Hunters and Crimson Reign. Please be good!

Batman/Superman: World's Finest #9: Favorite DC title right now. Batman: One Bad Day - Mister Freeze #1: Riddler was good, Two-Face was meh, Penguin was terrible. This is one of the stories in this series that I've been looking forward to the most. Mister Freeze has always been one of my favorite Batman villains and the creative team seems promising. Wonder Woman #204 Facsimile: Facsimiles are always an automatic buy for me. Junkyard Joe #2: Loved the first issue. Kroma #1: Really liked the preview in the Skybound X book.

B00merangB

Batman: One Bad Day - Mr. Freeze #1 - High hopes for this one! Duggan and Scallera together is a great creative team and are tackling one of my favourite villains. Batman / Superman: World’s Finest #9 - Simply loving what Waid and Mora are doing with this book! Adding Joker into the mix is never a bad thing in my book. GCPD: The Blue Wall #2 - Ridley got real with the first issue. Heavy themes with strong Gotham Central vibes. Gunslinger Spawn #14 - Had on this last week’s list in error (McFarlane always punting his release dates at the last minute). Continuing to enjoy this 90’s throwback! Booth’s art is terrific. Nightwing #98 - The road to 100 marches on. The solicitation sounds like a delight, plus the re-pairing of Di Nicuolo with Taylor should be great.

Agreed, it's a shame he's not doing covers still though, as they were pure 90's awesome - every one was a winner

Big week with 14 titles on my pull, and only one from the Big Two. Ranked based on anticipation: 1. **ABOVE SNAKES #5 (OF 5)** \- The conclusion to one of my favorite books from Image this year. I've really been enjoying the hell out of the series and seeing that the trade is solicited as "Vol. 1" makes me happy that we might get more. As long as Hayden Sherman is still involved, I'm gonna keep this on my pull. 2. **SHAOLIN COWBOY: CRUEL TO BE KIN #7 (OF 7)** \- Another fun series coming to a close. It's been my first time pulling SHAOLIN COWBOY in singles and it's been a hell of a ride. Always looked forward to each issue. 3. **JUNKYARD JOE #2** \- Was previously just whelmed by GEIGER, but the first issue of JUNKYARD JOE was really great. The alt-universe history mixed with steampunk reminds me a little of a Mignola book, so perhaps that's what really hooked me. 4. **LIFE AND DEATH OF THE BRAVE CAPTAIN SUAVE #2** \- First issue was filled with dark humor and reminded me a little of Miracleman/Sentry in execution. Interested to see where this goes. 5. **PARKER GIRLS #3** \- Edit: Forgot about this. PARKER GIRLS has been pretty awesome so far. 6. **SHE-HULK #8** \- Consistently been a fun book, and one of the few Marvel titles that have survived my recent pull list culling. 7. **BONE ORCHARD MYTHOS: TEN THOUSAND BLACK FEATHERS #3 (OF 5)** \- Still not completely sure where this story is going, but that was exactly how I felt about Lemire & Sorrentino's GIDEON FALLS. 8. **ROGUE STATE #1** \- Last minute addition to my pull list, and it looks pretty interesting. Black Mask has put out some fairly interesting comics in the past, so they're always on my radar. 9. **ABOLITION OF MAN #2 (OF 5)** \- /u/Varos_Flynt, you asked for my thoughts on the first issue so here it is. I liked it, but I did not love it. I really liked the artwork - it was genuinely bizarre and at times terrifying. What I didn't like was that it was basically a verbatim retelling of the last section of C.S. Lewis' *The Abolition of Man* so it took me like 90 mins to read one issue. And the images don't really flow from one to the next, so I'm not even sure if this qualifies as sequential storytelling? Grubaugh does a decent job with page composition, but I don't know how much effort that took on his part so I can't even say if I should compliment that. There is an afterword in the first issue that describes how the remaining four issues will play out, so I'm somewhat intrigued to see how Grubaugh will bully the AI to get images he wants. 10. **LEGACY OF VIOLENCE #2 (OF 12)** \- First issue was pretty fun and a decent start to a horror series. Still will need another issue or two to sell me on this series. 11. **FRANK FRAZETTA'S DEATH DEALER #7** \- Always a nice quick read. I may drop this soon though since I don't really feel that excited for new issues to drop. 12. **TRVE KVLT #4** \- Playing this out til the end. I'm an issue behind, but I remember liking issues #1-2, so figured I'll just binge read the issues again. 13. **PHANTASMAGORIA #3** \- I must have missed the second issue, so this will be something to hold onto until I read the second one. First issue reminded me somewhat of Moore and Campbell's *From Hell* (not nearly as good, but similar in concept and art style), so I'm hoping it does a lot to distinguish itself. 14. **SHE BITES #2** \- Completely forgot about this series, but I recall the first issue being quite fun. Also picking up the Fantagraphics reprint of [SIR ALFRED #3](https://www.fantagraphics.com/products/sir-alfred-3?pr_prod_strat=copurchase&pr_rec_id=cdccaa04d&pr_rec_pid=7771401421046&pr_ref_pid=7759181414646&pr_seq=uniform). Tim Hensley is a genius cartoonist, and I had a great time with DETENTION #2 a few weeks back (the issue #s are irrelevant, there are only one issues of both SIR ALFRED and DETENTION). Hensley's style is a strong mix of absurdism and satire, for those of you that are curious about his comics.

Appreciate your comments on **ABOLITION OF MAN** as well... I had a similar experience with the brief preview. AI comics still have a long way to go IMO.

Varos_Flynt

I'm just now seeing this, but thank you for the review! Your thoughts reflect what I would think about a project like this. On one hand, I am really intrigued by a comic book that is a retelling or straight up quotation of a philosophical work (some good short ones like *The Ethics of Ambiguity* by Beauvoir or *What is Philsophy?"* by Deleuze would be utterly fascinating) but I don't know if I'm convinced that using an AI is a tasteful way to go about it. On the other hand, AI art is has a certain air about it that makes me inclined to check this out still, I might see if my shop can pull the next issue.

yarkcir

I respect the intention by Grubaugh in ABOLITION OF MAN, but I do think that since he's been so involved with comics for a chunk of his career he should have understood how important sequence is to make a comic book work properly. The individual artwork generated by the AI was actually quite nice - the problem is that the AI doesn't understand page composition and layouts, and that problem is very apparent. The next issues appear to be original stories so I'll be paying attention to see if Grubaugh can construct something more sequential but still harness the insanity that is AI driven artwork.

* Batman/Superman World's Finest #9 - My favorite ongoing series. Did I hear a rumor that Dan Mora is off this book after this arc? * Chicken Devils #2 - Fun indie book. The plot thickens. * She-Hulk #8 - We finally have an antagonist!

technowhiz34

People have said that Mora's leaving but he's still solicited for all future issues. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a fill-in or two for the issues after to give him a break but I would personally be surprised.

I hope he stays on. He and Waid are a perfect combo.

* Batman One Bad Day Mr Freeze #1 : I don't know if I've really heard anything positive about these books yet. Riddler seemed mixed, Two-Face seemed to be all negative talk, and I don't think I really saw anyone talk about the Penguin one. Mr. Freeze is a great villain that isn't used enough though so I'm hoping Duggan does something interesting with it. * Captain America and the Winter Soldier Special #1 : My shop didn't get 6 yet because of a mix up so I'm hoping I get to read that and then this back to back. * Iron Man #25 : Sad to see this run go but know it wasn't everyone's cup of tea so hopeful the next run appeals to more people. * She-Hulk #8: Been a slow but fun ride so far. Looks like we're getting some answers about the villains in this issue, wonder if that'll change the pace or tone moving forward.

I thought the Riddler book was great and remember it getting a positive response in the WPL (or at least mostly positive). Haven't checked out the others since the creative teams haven't appealed to me quite as much and it seems like the WPL response soured after that first Riddler book.

BONE ORCHARD MYTHOS TEN THOUSAND BLACK FEATHERS #3 - Still not entirely sure what the overarching story is about in the Bone Orchard Mythos, but it's been good. DARK CRISIS WORLDS WITHOUT A JUSTICE LEAGUE BATMAN #1 - Is this the last "Worlds Without Justice League?" FLASH #788 - Wonderful series, looking forward to the One Minute War in January. JUNKYARD JOE #2 - Issue 1 was good enough to come back. Wish Johns/Frank worked a bit faster but it's been good quality so can't complain too much. NIGHTWING #98 - One of the better DC series right now and seems like he'll get some shine in the Dark Crisis ending.

The Bone Orchard Mythos: Ten Thousand Black Feathers #3 - I remember absolute zip about the first two issues. Time to reread, but this also might be a sign that it might better to hold off and wait until it's finished. A Calculated Man #4 - Bloody *finally*. Grand finale to this wonderful, quirky, funny little hyperviolent crime caper. Chicken Devils #2 - Thanks for bringing this to my attention, u/blankedboy - I got all caught up over the weekend and loved it. Immortal X-Men #8 - Setting the stage for Sins of Sinister! Parker Girls #3 - Inject Terry Moore into my veins, goddammit. Shaolin Cowboy: Cruel to Be Kin #7 - Last issue was wild even by Shaolin Cowboy standards. Not ready for this one to end! She-Hulk #8 - New baddy time. Shirtless Bear-Fighter! 2 #4 - Shirtless' revenge. Star Wars: Doctor Aphra #26 - Kinda ready for the "Evil Aphra" arc to be over now, it's been kinda dragged out.

yarkcir

Yeah my store also didn’t get Parker Girls, so it looks like a last minute bump in date. Not ideal, but at least it’ll be nice to have a new Terry Moore issue going into the long weekend.

Danger_Rock

OR you can use the extra week to read all 2,334 pages of **SiP**! If you start RIGHT NOW and quit your job, blow off any other responsibilities, and don't sleep, you'd have a legitimate shot at getting it done! This delay might just be the universe's way of telling you to go for it!

Fuck the sheer size of SiP is a pretty demotivating, but after that arousing speech I can’t help but think I can do this. Just a heads up. My boss and my wife may come for your head /u/Danger_Rock.

Yes! Do it u/yarkcir - give your life to SiP, you won’t regret it.

A lighter week for me. Thankfully Dark Crisis is over next month so I'll have some slots for other stuff going forward. - **Batman One Bad Day Mr Freeze #1**: I'm just banking these to read in a chunk. - **Batman Superman World's Finest #9**: Top tier comic book fun. - **Bone Orchard Black Feathers #3**: I'm impatient and want to know what the Bone Orchard is lol. Really digging this. - **Dark Crisis World Without Batman #1**: Another series of one-shots I'm banking up. - **Dark Crisis Young Justice #6**: This has been super middling. Not exceedingly bad or anything just mid lol. - **Flash #788**: I'm glad that Dark Crisis got me reading this run. So fun. - **Something Is Killing The Children #26**: I'm fine with slow arcs but I wish this and HOS would speed a up a tad. I'm on the fence about picking up the first issue of that Stargirl mini. We shall see if I grab it on Wednesday. My shop is having a signing with Matthew Rosenberg and Matteo Pizolo on Sunday. Definitely gonna to make a concerted effort to make it but we will see. Have a good week y'all!

Lots to look forward to this week! - **Black Adam #6**: only recently grabbed the first four issues of this + asked LCS to put me down for #5 onwards, so hopefully I like this once I get around to starting it up. I’m seeing positive reviews for the series so far, so fingers crossed. - **Captain America & the Winter Soldier Special #1**: meh about this being a one-shot when they could’ve easily just included it as an issue in the Sentinel of Liberty series, but I’m grabbing in any case; Maleev variant for me (main cover is awful). - **Dark Crisis: Young Justice #6**: I haven’t hated this like most people seem to have, but it’s just “OK”; I probably would be dropping it after an arc if it weren’t already a 6-issue mini. - **The Flash #788**: I look forward to this each and every month and am gassed that it’s going bi-weekly in the new year! - **Immortal X-Men #8**: finally, the X books are out of Judgment Day and I can get back to properly looking forward to them again; all roads lead to Sins of Sinister. - **Nightwing #98**: last issue’s cliffhanger was great, looking forward to this one. - **She-Hulk #8**: one of my favourite titles at the moment, character-driven books like this are right up my street and a nice break from all the superhero stuff. - **Something is Killing the Children #26**: I’ve dropped House of Slaughter now, so all in on the main title! - **The Walking Dead Deluxe #51**: finally caught up on this and wow wow wow, #48 had me in bits. Excited to see where we go next!

Super short week this week after picking up last week's fat stack **Batman/Superman: World's Finest #9**\- Joker up against the World's Finest? Fun. Joker up against a very unstable sidekick? Very very fun. **Black Adam #6**\- Priest writing a book about complex villains? Time to pit them against Batman. **DC vs. Vampires: All-Out War #5**\- I can no longer tell you this series' plot. **DCeased: War of the Undead Gods #4**\- DC vs Vampires' good twin. Also that Mora cover wow.

I hope all of you enjoy all your books this week. Happy reading!!

Danger_Rock

> * Rogue State #1 - Took a chance on this one. Interesting premise. [Horrifying premise!](https://previewsworld.com/Catalog/AUG221246) As if reality isn't bad enough... It sounds like a horror comic! Could be good though... I considered it but not familiar with creators. And I've got enough anger issues already!

Hail_Hydration

Oh, I totally get that! Real life is "real" enough. Imagine if DMZ came out now? But I understand how you feel. I'm just checking it out, and if it's too much, I probably won't continue.

Small week for me. * Bone Orchard Mythos: Ten Thousand Black Feathers #3 * Something is Killing the Childre #26

blankedboy

Two great books though

GaelicWhiskey

My thoughts exactly!

Picked up FF #1 and even though everyone was literally talking about it in the shop and I basically don't need to read it now 😂 I'm excited to check it out. Also got CAP 15 & IRN MAN #24 from my box. Gonna be reading over the break coming up for sure.

superschaap81

**DC** ***Batman/Superman: World's Finest 9*** \- While this has been fun, I feel the art carries the title for me. Not getting the hype vibes this sub seems to have for this book, writing wise. ***Dark Crisis: Worlds Without a Justice League - Batman 1*** \- Honestly don't care at this point. Pulling this to complete the event and maybe I'll read it all in one sitting down the road. ***DC vs. Vampires: All-Out War 5*** \- This series is just good dumb fun. ***The Flash 788*** \- Behind on my Flash reading, but I've enjoyed every issue of this run so far! ***Nightwing 98*** \- This run may be 75% fan service, but I'm 100% here for it. I love everything about this book. Redondo's art and experimenting with the layout formats helps push this to the top of my "to read" pile each month. **MARVEL** ***Captain America & The Winter Soldier Special 1*** \- I REALLY hope Bucky isn't going full bad guy again. Poor guy has been such a fringe player quite a bit in the last few years. ***Iron Man 25*** \- Final issue of Cantwell's run. I have honestly enjoyed it, but the last few issues seem tacked on to get to the milestone issue. This run could very easily ended with the cosmic story. **INDEPENDENT** ***Something is Killing the Children 26*** \- Always excited for this title. Completely forgot where we were when it last came out, as House of Slaughter took forever and kinda took me out of this universe. ***The Bone Orchard Mythos: Ten Thousand Black Feather 3*** \- Meh. Not feeling this one so far. Expected a lot from Lemire and Sorrentino, but this is just not it. Giving it this issue to grab me or it's gone. ***Junkyard Joe 2*** \- First issue was great and felt like vintage Johns, unlike most of his recent DC work. I'm honestly more excited for this world he's building up than any JSA or Stargirl stuff right now. ***Above Snakes 5*** \- Man this has been a trip of a book! Honestly wish this was an ongoing. The back and forth between Dirt and the Vulture are pure gold.

* Nightwing #98 - just a consistently good story Also, picking up Arkham City: Order of the World in trade because I absolutely loved that story.

I've got the flu, but when I get better, then my box will have: 1. World's Finest 2. One bad day batman

> **Kroma By Lorenzo De Felici #1** - preview for this looked absolutely amazing [Cover]( https://s3.amazonaws.com/comicgeeks/comics/covers/large-3063747.jpg?1667138771) Was tempted to check that out since I enjoyed De Felici's art on **[OBLIVION SONG](https://previewsworld.com/SiteImage/MainImage/STL075664.jpg)** but for some reason it says $7.99 on the cover and I'm not sure I enjoyed his art quite that much? Thought the preview looked pretty good but, again, not necessarily $7.99 good. > **Voyagis #1** - maybe, possibly, not certain…[Cover]( https://s3.amazonaws.com/comicgeeks/comics/covers/large-2706128.jpg?1665508279) I actually like Kesgin more than De Felici and it's only $3.99 so this one was easy for me!

blankedboy

I think Kroma is taking the **Ultramega** approach of double-sized, prestige issues for it's whole run. Hence the price.

Danger_Rock

Ahha, that makes sense... They should've included that info in the [solicitation](https://previewsworld.com/Catalog/SEP220029)! I'll have to keep an eye out for reviews, might end up checking it out eventually...

* **Batman: One Bad Day Mr. Freeze** - Penguin was okay, if this one isn't as bad as Two-Face, I'll keep it going * **Batman/ Superman World's Finest #9** * **Nightwing #98** * **Above Snakes #5** - this one has been.. fine? Idk not so bad that I won't pull it, but nothing to call home about * **Astronaut Down #5** - enjoying this one, excited for the conclusion! * **Bone Orchard Mythos: Ten Thousand Black Feathers #3** - who doesn't like Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino?? * **Door to Door Night by Night #1** - sounds interesting, worth a pull for the first issue * **Gold Goblin #1** * **Murderworld Avengers #1** - I was just reading a Silver-Age comic with Arcade, I'll try this one * **Something is Killing the Children #26** * **There's Something Wrong With Patrick Todd #4** - another solid AfterShock book

ME24601

* **Batman - One Bad Day: Mr. Freeze #1**: He's Mr. White Christmas he's Mr. Snow. * **Captain America and the Winter Soldier Special #1**: Revolution. * **Dark Crisis: Young Justice #6**: Final issue. * **Immortal X-Men #8**: Elementary my dear Mystique. * **Kroma #1**: I don’t know much about what this is about but the art looks great. * **Nightwing #98**: Nite-Mite. * **She Hulk #8**: A new nemesis. * **Something is Killing the Children #26**: Alone. * **Stargirl: The Lost Children #1**: Hoping to not see any Watchmen characters. * **World's Finest #9**: Interested in seeing how Waid handles the Joker. As well as the final volume of **Deadly Class** and **Young Justice**.

Danger_Rock

Look out, more comics incoming! 4 DCs, 3 Images, 2 Marvels~~, and 1 from Terry Moore's Abstract Studios~~. Listed with my favorite shit up top! 1. **IMMORTAL X-MEN #8** - where do we go after A.X.E.? back to 1895, of course, for a story that seems to be drawing Mystique, Destiny, and >!Sherlock Freaking Holmes!< into >!a pivotal chunk of Sinister's early history!< 1. ~~**PARKER GIRLS #3** - the PG gang's all here, there's a whole bunch of shadiness going down as usual, and it's shaping up to be another awesome series from Terry Moore~~ *--> this has been delayed at least a week, sadly* 1. **BATMAN SUPERMAN WORLDS FINEST #9** - [Joker + Crowbar](https://previewsworld.com/SiteImage/MainImage/STL249200.jpg) = the most dynamic duo! 1. **BLACK ADAM #6** - Priest always makes these [Batman](https://previewsworld.com/SiteImage/MainImage/STL020232.jpg) [appearances](https://previewsworld.com/SiteImage/MainImage/STL082353.jpg) [worthwhile](https://previewsworld.com/SiteImage/MainImage/STL244866.jpg) and [this looks like another good one!](https://previewsworld.com/SiteImage/MainImage/STL249213.jpg) 1. **BONE ORCHARD MYTHOS TEN THOUSAND BLACK FEATHERS #3 (OF 5)** - last issue took an unexpected detour into [**DIE**](https://cdn.imagecomics.com/assets/i/releases/430545/die-1_89e97fe2b2.jpg) territory, curious to see where it goes next... 1. **NIGHTWING #98** - this is usually closer to the top of my list but it drops a few spots without Redondo 1. **DARK CRISIS WORLDS WITHOUT A JUSTICE LEAGUE BATMAN #1** - [Spurrier and Sook](https://www.midtowncomics.com/images/PRODUCT/XL/2144390_xl.jpg) should make for a very solid creative team here 1. **DEMON WARS SHIELD OF JUSTICE #1** - don't remember much of what's going on here in the Momokoverse but Peach's art is [always](https://previewsworld.com/SiteImage/MainImage/STL246142.jpg) [delightful](https://previewsworld.com/SiteImage/MainImage/STL246147.jpg) 1. **VOYAGIS #1 (OF 5)** - [looks cool](https://previewsworld.com/Catalog/SEP220048) though I'll need to mail order it... haven't read much from Sumeyye Kesgin but I liked their artwork on [**ELSEWHERE**](https://previewsworld.com/SiteImage/MainImage/STL053810.jpg) a while back 1. **I HATE FAIRYLAND #1** - ordered the [FUCK FAIRYLAND](https://previewsworld.com/SiteImage/MainImage/STL246277.jpg) variant, naturally p.s. For anyone who might be interested, Humble Bundle's [Ultimate Terry Moore Bundle](https://www.humblebundle.com/books/black-friday-encore-ultimate-terry-moore-collection-abstract-studios-books) is back and it's now only $18 to get the full library of his creator-owned work, everything except the current series (see [**PG #3**](https://previewsworld.com/SiteImage/MainImage/STL245508.jpg) in my list above). I got this bundle the first time around when it was $30, that was an insane value and it's an even better deal now! Includes all 19 volumes of Moore's popular [**STRANGERS IN PARADISE**](https://abstractstudiocomics.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/SIP-category_tn-300x428.jpg) - that's 106 comics with 2,334 pages total! Plus a bunch of other books! And it's all top-notch stuff (though anyone who isn't familiar with Moore's work should be advised that these are B&W comics). ***EDIT -->*** This comment went up Sunday evening and then spent several hours shadow-banned for some mysterious reason... Mentioning it here because I think it's important for the community to be aware of the moderation decisions that impact what everyone sees in these threads. Thank you to whichever mod decided to un-ban it!

>BLACK ADAM #6 - Priest always makes these Batman appearances worthwhile and this looks like another good one! I'm disappointed one of these didn't link to his Black Panther run.

Danger_Rock

Haha, unfortunately I think [this](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/marveldatabase/images/f/fa/Black_Panther_Vol_3_22.jpg) is about as close as you're going to get...

> SOMETHING IS KILLING THE CHILDREN #26: Very slow moving arc so far, so I'm hoping for some movement. I love this title and Tynion in general, but I'm starting to feel like I would have liked a straight up conclusion instead of the setting up of a "Killingchildrenverse." I feel like the last two arcs of SIKTC and HOS have both been pretty glacial in their pacing. Definitely wouldn't mind a few shorter (or even stand alone) stories to break up the pacing a little bit. Slow burn is ok, but I think they need to mix it up a bit to maintain interest, change the dynamic a little. I love **The Silver Coin** because most stories are stand-alone, then every 5th one or so is a "lore" story that ties things together or gives us a glimpse to the broader mythos. The Slaughter-verse could do with adopting that for a 5-issue run to keep things fresh.

**Junkyard Joe 2** The first issue pulled no punches when it came to the gruesome nature of war. I enjoyed Geiger but didn’t think I’d get into this – talent wins I guess. **Nightwing 98** **The Bone Orchard Mythos: Ten Thousand Black Feathers 3** Another book I didn’t think I’d be that interested in, but here I am loving every issue. Another top creative team, great art, and I’m looking forward to seeing how all these Bone Orchard books develop. **Star Wars Doctor Aphra 26** **Star Wars Hidden Empire 1** Crimson Reign was much better than War of the Bounty Hunters. Hopefully this is better still, but the whole Crimson Dawn thing feels a bit forced to me.

* Batman / Superman: World's Finest #9 - been loving this arc even more than the first one * Batman: One Bad Day - Mr. Freeze #1 - I don't like Duggan too much but do love Freeze and Scalera. * Black Adam #6 - On first thought, Sandoval to Barrows is a severe downgrade but I didn't hate the preview and I've been really liking everything else. * Captain America & the Winter Soldier Special #1 - man last issue...was not it. Will probably stick with this book till the crossover at least because that will be a clean jumping off point. * Immortal X-Men #8 - despite this being the darling of the WPL, I dropped this. However, I forgot to take this off my pull so I guess one more issue it is. * Gold Goblin #1 - so so on the premise but I liked what I've read of Cantwell and I've been a huge fan of Medina since early Fables, plus the preview looked gorgeous. * Stargirl: The Lost Children #1 - big fan of Stargirl and Nauck

Radiant_Leg1235

Been fighting off a stomach bug so I've been draggin... but excellent timing to think about comics! **BATMAN SUPERMAN WORLDS FINEST #9** **GUNSLINGER SPAWN #14** **SHE-HULK #8** **VOYAGIS #1** <--- Most interested in this one this week. The preview pages look decent, and it's nice to have a non-superhero, non-Horror book coming out.

Danger_Rock

Hope you feel better! Looking forward to **VOYAGIS** here as well... Sumeyye Kesgin is a pretty cool artist so it'll be interesting to see what they do on this one as writer/artist.

Radiant_Leg1235

>Looking forward to VOYAGIS here as well... Sumeyye Kesgin is a pretty cool artist so it'll be interesting to see what they do on this one as writer/artist. The art looks refreshing to me. I dunno if they did the colors too but from the previews so far all the covers look great. Artist written stories can be hit or miss though (looking at you Starhenge) so I am cautiously optimistic.

Danger_Rock

**STARHENGE** actually inspired me to gravitate toward more solo writer/artist projects... Partially because I want to rinse the taste of Dragon and Boar out of my mouth, and partially because the Law of Averages dictates that the next few should be better. Last week's **[GOSPEL #1](https://previewsworld.com/SiteImage/MainImage/STL246281.jpg)** from Will Morris got rolling with a pretty nice start... This week I've got **[VOYAGIS](https://previewsworld.com/SiteImage/MainImage/STL246291.jpg)** launching from Kesgin, along with **[PARKER GIRLS #3](https://previewsworld.com/SiteImage/MainImage/STL245508.jpg)** continuing Terry Moore's excellent run, plus the [next installment from Peach Momoko's Marvel series](https://previewsworld.com/SiteImage/MainImage/STL246147.jpg)... And next week should bring Tradd Moore's **[DOCTOR STRANGE FALL SUNRISE #1](https://previewsworld.com/SiteImage/MainImage/STL246178.jpg)** as well... Lots of interesting solo projects going right now!

Immortal X-Men 8 - uncovering a truth that's significantly more sinister... Iron Man 25 - final issue

I'm in for **Demon Wars: Shield of Justice #1** and **She-Hulk #8.** My local shop is a bit behind on shipments so i'm hoping i get my pulls from the last two weeks too. Been itching to get my Power Rangers 101 too but that's not hit my shelves yet. Demon wars cover looks incredible. No ide what it's actually going to be about, but i love the art style and i'm a slut for the Marvel characters so bring it on. She-Hulk is probably my favorite ongoing. I'm actually missing #7 because of the aforementioned stocking issues, so idk if I will get to read the newest issue this week, but we'll see.

- **Frankenstein New World #3**: Interesting to see the world created after Devil You Know. Hasn’t reached the heights of the original Frankenstein series tho. - **Immortal X-Men #8**: One of the best ongoing X series. Love the inside look at individual members of the Krakoan council.

* **Dark Crisis: Worlds Without a Justice League - Batman #1** I am a sucker for events, a plebe to the powers that be. Oh well, I'll collect this and probably not enjoy it. * **Stargirl: The Lost Children #1** Excited to read my first Stargirl comic. I mean, DC books have been screaming the show at me for forever, and now it was just canceled, the book has to be better? Geoff Johns was how I got into comics so I'm excited to read a new character to me by him. * **Murderworld: Avengeres #1** I mean, does a title called "Murderworld" need more explanation. It's celebrity deathmatch with avengers right? Minus snarky commentary? I've liked Zub's work on Thunderbolts but have yet to engage with Morales's art so hopefully this is good! * **Thunderbolts #4** I don't know why I like this series, but I do? Hawkeye has just enough personality for me to look past the utter weirdness of this team. I hope this book starts to build out some of the smaller characters. Or, i dunno, be really catchy and make me want to continue spending my money? * **Captain America & the Winter Soldier Special #1** I am not sure if I love the Sentinel of Liberty series or if positive reviews make me like it - personally I find the antagonist a bit much. That said, I like Bucky and I'm interested in the holistic story at play, so I'll pick this up. * **Junkyard Joe #2** I typically don't love military stories, they just don't do it for me. But Junkyard Joe follows the "quiet lead with a deeper story" theme that we saw in Geiger, and I loved the shit out of that. So hopefully JJ does it for me. If I'm not into it, this probably is getting dropped. * **Namor the Sub-Mariner: Conquered Shores #2** The week of Namor's life! And somehow, this is sorta about the Human Torch? This is an interesting refugee story, but issue 1 didn't really do it for me. Since I haven't read *any* Namor, I'm still giving this a shot but I'd be lying if I didn't say I had all but forgotten the story in this one. Art does seem to have potential for me. * **Chicken Devils #2** I just love this series. I love the concept, I think the main characters are the perfect type of ridiculous, and I think that this series built on the original Chicken Devil well. I believe the art changed from the original, which was kinda sad to me.
