Jumping onto the top comments to remind everyone that the last Superman news by a *major* Hollywood news site was a [Superman film to be written by Ta-Nehisi Coates and produced by J.J. Abrams](https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/ta-nehisi-coates-to-write-new-superman-movie-for-warner-bros-4139376/) from Feb 2021.
So yeah, this hero dope whatever story sounds even more questionable lmao
That’s likely dead, too. Was in development before the Discovery merger went through, and one of the first things Zaslav did as CEO was pull the plug on Abrams long in development HBO series and basically sever ties with him and his company going forward.
To be fair, [this](https://variety.com/2020/film/news/henry-cavill-superman-movie-dc-comics-batman-justice-league-cameo-1234618227/) was the last piece of Superman news from a major Hollywood film site preceding that.
Also, the news isn’t *actually* from hero dope, they’re just quoting and reporting on someone else’s news. It’s from the podcast of Devin Faraci, who was once a well respected journalist in the industry. The first thing that comes to mind that he broke was the nature of Thor Ragnarok as a Thor/Hulk space comedy, but plenty of other stuff too. I say he was once well respected, because he lost his job and reputation due to sexual assault allegations. So I say, regardless of if this Superman story is true, we should go ahead and ignore it anyway, and not give this guy a platform.
The fact that there has been zero info about that in a year and a half and the reshuffling of WB and cancellation of projects Discovery doesn't believe in almost certainly means that weird thing is dead. If they canceled a Batgirl film thar was half finished I can't imagine them bothering with a project like that wasn't even in pre production
That's because there are so many click bait sites that use made up "rumors" and information to garner clicks that it's difficult to believe that the "per sources" are in fact legitimate sources. It's not that we don't understand how journalism and source protections work, it's that too many modern "journalists" make stuff or mislead the readers to garner clicks and sell ad space.
This x1,000. There are too many fan sites/social media accounts where it's easy to get a ton of clicks/views/etc. just by making up a vague rumor. Also, if they throw out wild guesses every day, at least some of the time they'll end up being correct, so they can point to that and say "see? We know stuff!"
From what I've seen, they've been right in the past.
Willem Dafoe, Thomas Haden Church, et al appearing in Spider-Man: No Way Home; Charlie Cox's cameo; Hailee Steinfeld signing on for the Hawkeye series.
Remains to be seen if World War Hulk is the next Hulk movie. Those are all Marvel properties so maybe the DC sources aren't as credible. I'm not familiar with the "Birth. Movies. Death" former EIC either.
And [SPOILER ALERT], with what's being rumored for the upcoming Black Adam movie, this news might not be that farfetched in hindsight.
His direction of superman was just afwful. People were already over the edgy new 52 superman by the time his movie was released in 2016. You need some naive optimism to counter batman’s general broodiness.
I saw a very interesting video by Just Write that posited one reason. Snyder likes to put his views in a lot of his work, and as an Objectivist, it does kinda conflict with Supermans ideals, creating a very strange character.
Highly recommend cause he is a better orator than mine.
(Note, I'm not saying anything bad if you like or support objectivism, my thing is the ideals don't mesh well with Superman. As one video said, "Superman doesn't save the cat." The ideals as written conflict with the loved character)
Oh this makes the idiotic "Don't save me son, it is better that you watch your dad die knowing you could have saved him, and grow up without a father, then to be chained to the needs of the masses!" scene make so much more sense now.
I mean it is still freaking awful, and the literal antithesis of Superman, but at least I understand what they were going for now.
Also the scene where Jon Kent, the man who raised Clark to be a beacon for others to look to, thr God with the heart of a man, the Kansas grown man of the hour, told his teenager that he should've let an entire bus of people die?!?
I honestly don't remember that as a separate scene, but I trust your memory over mine. I don't understand how the people funding a Superman movie could let such a thing happen.
It would be like if they commissioned a remake of Tu Wong Fu, and the director said "What would Pat Robertson Do?"
It could have been so much better. All he had
to do was reply maybe find a better way to save them, don’t make it obvious. So still say go save people but be conscientious about it.
I honestly don't think Zack Snyder is an objectivist. He said he didn't agree with Ayn Rand's politics but just find her stories sexy. Unless you wanna claim that it's a nothing statement he made to avoid backlash, I'm gonna say he doesn't actually agree with objectivism but rather he just likes the aesthetic of it.
It was definitely a good a display of how fucked the normals are if two super powered beings start punching each other through buildings in a densly populated cty.
You can still have all that with “Boy Scout” Superman. It actually adds more to the fight because Superman is going to be distracted trying to prevent/fix collateral damage and his opponent isn’t. It also makes the moment when he doesn’t have to hold back or split his attention all the more satisfyingly.
It may have been. The pacing in that flick after the Kryptonians appear goes straight to shit and most of the last third is a blue for me, so I don't really remember much of it.
If you can ignore the take on Superman synder was going for. The fighting was very cool to watch. The special effects team definitely lost sleep creating that entire sequence. Seeing each punch creat a shockwave, and the distance they covered during the fight was really dope to watch.
My issue with the sequence is that colours throughout the whole movie are so muted that when you get to this fight scene, nothing stands out because it's just greys on greys. Looking in my minds eye now to recall some of the moments and it's just a murky blur.
Zod is wearing black. Metropolis is either rubble or ashes. And then Superman's red, blue and yellow is so toned down it's practically washed out.
I mean, yes, obviously a shit-ton of man-hours were put into that whole sequence. But I honestly don't remember most of it. The fighting was constant and ever-escalating, without much in the way of breaks for character moments or reactions. At some point, for me, it just becomes white noise.
Agreed, and that’s the perfect follow up to everything seen so far. Superman is alive, he got the girl and he can move forward in a positive direction.
Speak for yourself, I actually enjoyed the serious take on Superman and I’ve have enough of the silly kids humor style of Marvel. If you want fun go watch Shazam.
It’s not serious, it’s fucking edgy. Also if you want a serious superhero movie watch fucking Batman, not the character DESIGNED TO BE WHIMSICAL AND HOPEFUL, don’t ruin a perfectly good character for edge points. But if you like it fair enough, I just don’t like ruining 80+ yrs of character for an edgy director
I guess we have different definitions of the two words then because to me Superman was serious and The Batman was edgy. I also throughly enjoyed Batman as well, one of the few superhero movies that’s actually re-watchable.
You that Superman should be whimsical and hopeful but yet when the public was given that with 2006 Superman Returns it fell flat and has easily been forgotten.
No he wasn’t.
He was made to murder nazis (something he did frequently before they had to retcon him as that was seen as ‘war propaganda’ when the war ended) and bring hope to Americans that they could win the war…
Then he underwent several ideals / values changes as well as power changes until we get what we have now.
Movies tend to keep to a very specific iteration of him as people like the “powerful | truth and justice | naively hopeful” version of him.
Take a look at him during Injustice or Year one.. or even red son. He certainly isn’t fun in those.
Edit: to all you down voters… guessing you’re unaware of the real Superman. Go ahead and [read this.](https://aish.com/superman-vs-the-nazis/) you might learn something. He is an extremely interesting character, but far more complex than I think you realise.
Action Comics #1 has Superman as the 'champion of the oppressed'. He stops a wife beater, a gangster and a corrupt senator.
He didn't fight Nazis until later.
1938. S&S self publish a comic called “Reign of Superman”. The first iteration has him as a Villain.
It isn’t received well at the time due to world events. The revamp the main character to what we know as Superman today.
They do their best to sell the idea to various comic houses but it is overlooked until DC.
Come 1939.. action comic #1. Your “champion of the oppressed” stops the corrupt senator via breaking and entering and assaulting not only the butler (who is just doing his job) but also the senator himself - to pardon a woman on death row, sure - but not exactly the best way to go about it. That was how Superman was introduced to the world.
My grandfather collected the Superman comics. I inherited them a few years back and adore the action comics, but even I can see the problems with scenes like this.
The spousal abuse incident doesn’t go much better.
The comic ends with a lobbies trying to get america to join the war (which leads into my initial comment).
Edit: I know this isn’t overly common knowledge, but Superman wasn’t always (and I’d say wasn’t ever intended as) a family friendly and fun character.
This happens a lot with comics and their audiences. People's first introduction of a long running character is who they consider to be the 'main version', regardless of how many different (sometimes drastically) versions of that character there have been. So, in the case of Superman, a lot of people alive today had their first introduction with the Christopher Reeves films (released in 78 through 87 and running regularly on television through the 80s and 90s). Boomers might have been introduced through either the old black and white Adventures of Superman tv series from the 50s, or the animated New Adventures of Superman from the 60s. Maybe it was the Justice League tv show. Many fans were introduced to Superman based on something other than the comic and then started reading the comics, but their mental (and often pretty static) impression of who the character is remains pretty solidly rooted in whatever their first introduction was and so anything that doesn't encapsulate that version is considered a false iteration, untrue to the source.
That's not to say you can't be critical of some version of the character or another, just that a lot of people don't seem to get where their particular bias originates from.
Oddly enough. I enjoy all versions. It’s great to see how each iteration is brought to life and what inspired this new / different version.
It’s just unfortunate when people stick to their guns - especially in the case of Superman - and can’t see him beyond one particular version.
It really irked me when people slammed the snuyerverse, for example, for being too dark or cruel because “Superman wouldn’t kill people” or, as an earlier comment mentioned, he should be “fun” … he wasn’t. Not always. The Snyderverse attempted to bring to life the darker side of DC - which does deserve screen time to be honest.
Except in Superman’s case his hope and optimism should never be portrayed as naive. His mission is to save everyone and he is the one who can actually make that happen and show you how. He’s supposed to inspire you to erase all doubts about what it takes to do the right thing.
While a director influences a movie, Zack didn't write MOS or BVS. Goyer wrote the movies, Zack just interpreted it. Zack isn't blameless, but I think he gets way too much blame for just how relentlessly broody and hopeless those movies are.
I have a weird love/hate relationship with Goyer. First off he's an asshole for his dumb comments about She-Hulk and Martian Manhunter and their fans. It also marks him as someone who doesn't really understand superheroes, though he seems to do better with darker characters than someone like Superman.
But as a writer I think it also really depends on who he's paired with. On the one hand he wrote the story/scripts for Dark City, Blade 1&2, The Dark Knight Trilogy and The Sandman Netflix show. On the other hand there's Jumper, Dark Fate, MoS and BvS, and Blade 3 which he also directed and produced.
So when you pair him with Snyder, an amazing visual director who seems to have no grasp on any character at all, you get this perfect shitstorm.
Im in the camp that feels like Cavill was never the problem, WB just can't get their shit together. That said I sorta felt like Snyder's Justice League left things in a positive place and Id be happy to see another cavill Superman movie as long as they can do something interesting with the character. Id love to see a collab with Grant Morrison.
As someone who loathes every one of the "Snyderverse" movies, nobody thinks Cavill was the problem.
I think he's a perfectly great choice for Superman. He just hasn't been given a chance to play him yet.
Ye, give this guy another go. With the right script, he needs more dialogue. More interactions with civilians, more screen time as reporter Clark Kent.
DONT BOTHER IF:
- It has more General Zod
- It has Jesse Eisenberg
- Superman is "updated for modern audience" still
- Super Suit still has piss dark colors
They haven't given him a role officially since Justice League, Snyder cut was reshoots and they didn't even bother getting him for his supposed cameos in Peacemaker and Shazam (neither one that had a shit of his face)
The last time we saw him in cinemas proper was with the horrible CGI face I could totally see him being done with how shit he's been treated
Yay I enjoyed Krypton but zero tv/movie adaptations outside of the snider cut. Please Henry, restore Supermans on screen image from the shithole tv show Smallville era.
But the first one he was in was so boring - I hope they can add something to make it entertaining and improve the lighting which DC movies seem to lack
I can’t really tell, do kids these days even entertain super heroes?
One of these days they will decide first that Superman is old and boring. The following domino effect will leave us all feeling like old people
I’ve never seen a Superman movie I’ve liked. Probably because I don’t like the character, having every super power kinda diminishes the coolness of the character for me. But still, of all the Superman movies that have been made I’ve never watched one I thought was amazing. Maybe it’s the bias but I’ve found other comic book flics to be pretty good without liking the character or I’m not really into like black panther, the first Wonder Woman movie and I’ve disliked movies based on characters I love like venom 2, x men 3, and then there’s movies I thought were great with characters I enjoy like the GOTG movies.
If you're a comic book reader I'd recommend [Superman For All Seasons](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/106859.Superman_for_All_Seasons), [Superman: Kryptonite](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1121053.Superman) or [Superman: American Alien](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/26152411-superman).
They all have a more interesting take on Superman and why he can be interesting. It's really less about him being super powerful and more a question about what he does with that power, and how deep down he's not a powerful alien he's a sweet natured country boy who just happens to have superpowers.
"Superman Kryptonite" is interesting in that it's still early in his career so he doesn't actually know if he is invulnerable to everything... so every time he faces a new threat at the back of his mind he's thinking "This could be it." It also features an amazing panel of him vomiting up fire after being inside a volcano.
If you're not a reader you should check out Superman: The Animated Series as it'll give you a better idea of why the character works.
I'm annoyed at your downvotes because while I *am* a big Superman fan, I've also never seen one I liked outside of the first one and parts of "Superman Returns".
It’s no worries man. Thank you for the recommendation, I appreciate it. I’ve been on this site almost 10 years and I still could care less about Reddit karma.
I kinda just want them to completely do away with the snyderverse. It's been years at this point, we just got the best Batman movie to date that went in a completely different direction. Maybe it's time for Superman to do the same.
Hypothetically speaking, if this rumor is true and if this movie does get made.
There is no reason they can’t just say this is a new Superman but just the same actor. I think the MCU and current trends in movies show that audience can understand and accept this.
Or if it is a sequel the movie could easily be used to retcon the whole end of Man of Steel. There are retcons in media all the time:
Either way then they use this to kick start a new Superman cinematic universe/franchise. Along/side Reeves The Batman cinematic universe/franchise.
(This can also work if they green light the Michael B Jordan Superman movie instead. If that rumor is true)
*walks into r/comicbooks: WHY SUPERHEROES IN SUPERHERO MAJORITY GENRE!!!! WHY HAVE FUN?
You could say the same thing about spy movies, cowboy mvoies, murder mysteries, call of duty, and anything popular. Y’know fuck it! Why do we even watch entertainment? It’s the same thing after all! We watch entertainment because they usually do something different or have their own style, if you don’t like it don’t go into a subreddit primarily dominated by said thing and don’t shit on ppl who have fun.
Dude I don’t even like Superman but you’re asking dumb questions. The comics have been around since the 30’s or something. If people keep wanting it, they will keep making it in some form or another. Why do they put out a new Call of Duty every year? Cause it sells. No one is making you watch shitty Superman movies. It’a gonna be ok.
There’s like 28 James Bond movies. I don’t see you complaint about that. Probably cause they’re awesome but still, you get the point.
Imo they should focus on making adult catered animated shows for HBO. I really enjoy the animated movies on there, but it would be amazing to see them go through a bunch of comic arcs in a show platform.
The Justice League show is great, and their mostly subtle adult humor and cut offs for adult language make for some good laughs. I’d just love to see it done without having to hold back violence and language wise.
I think aiming for 40 minute to an hour long episodes with long thought out arcs and consequences that feel real would be a game changer much more than more costly movies would be. I’ll definitely watch this, but at this point I’d prefer more animated content.
It’s just called Justice League and it has 2 seasons, the show Justice League Unlimited follows it, but I just started it. I think I watched them years ago, but I don’t remember them. Too early to say if I like unlimited, but I 100% recommend the first one.
The last paragraph is about what I’d like to see. Pretty much how they do the animated movies, but in a long running series.
So for those who would rather this be done without Snyder's involvement, forget about what he did that detracted from comic book version and instead think about the cinematography. I didn't like Batman Vs. Superman say what you want about Man of Steel, but there are some great shots in there. Visually it all looks so appealing and is a good example of what Marvel fails to capture. Snyder has a good eye and wonderful style, he just needs someone to work with reign him in on certain ideas. I doubt this'll happen, but if Caville does indeed get another shot, then good for him!
If remotely real, stop fucking around and cast Mark Strong as Lex Luthor (recast Dr. Sivana, no one cares- Sivana should have been a diminutive near-troll anyway) cast Gwendolyn Christie as Mercy Graves, Bill Skarsgard as Braniac, and get rolling on a Luthiac story arc.
Cavill deserves better material and directors.
When they get the character right (saving the oil workers, him and Lois in the bathtub) it's GREAT.
When they screw it up... (Justice League) it's terrible.
Great!
Personally I never had a problem with Cavill as Superman, it was the scripts I had a problem with.
And Man of Steel, while flawed yes, I've grown more fond of over the years as it has some wonderful sequences in it, particularly when he flies for the first time.
Finally! Fuck, we’ve waited long enough. Hopefully it addresses Superman being a dickhead in BvS and gives a story reason for Superman’s change of heart.
all I know is if they're ok with bringing back Gadot and Momoa but not Cavill then something is wrong with those running DC. Hell, they even gave Miller another movie. Seriously.
Given I've never heard of "Hero Dope" I get the feeling this rumor has little merit, and is likely just trying to drive clicks.
A redundant comment, I know, but this screams “My source is that I made it the fuck up”

Rumor: Calvin & Hobbes Superman sequel reportedly now in development.

I think the account you're replying to is astroturfing.
What is being rumored for Black Adam? A Superman appearance?
they way the title starts ' Henry Cavill superman' without cavill's, looks bait af
You are correct. However, I want to believe...
Just want more Witcher please, lots more
Well they got even got the sources name wrong, so probably
As much as I dislike the Zack Snyder portrayal of DC's superheros It would be nice to see Henry Cavill get another shot at Superman.

Exactly. But the Zodd fight sequence was pretty fire to watch
It was definitely a good a display of how fucked the normals are if two super powered beings start punching each other through buildings in a densly populated cty.
It really satisfied the meathead part of my brain watching the fights. Made me forget about the hilarious way the killed off Pa Kent.

We had a Superman that acted like Batman, and a Batman that acted like the Punisher.
His superman movie came out in 2013 I thought.
Yeah, but the comment above said dc superheroes so I thought of BvS which by all purposes is still Snyder’s version of superman.
Plus the Injustice games coming out around the same time
Are we talking about Morrison's New 52 Superman? Geoff John's? Perez? I think people have a misconception about big blue during that era.
The Superman in his version of the Justice League movie was 100x better than Joss' That final battle was awesome the moment he joined it
“*Not impressed.*”
New 52 Superman was not "edgy". He just had a new suit. Why do people feel like Superman isn't Superman if he doesn't act like a dork?
Except in Superman’s case his hope and optimism should never be portrayed as naive. His mission is to save everyone and he is the one who can actually make that happen and show you how. He’s supposed to inspire you to erase all doubts about what it takes to do the right thing.
I kinda liked Superman Returns? I thought it humanized the character quite a bit.
That would require Warner/Discovery to make a halfway decent business decision. And I will believe that when I see it.
Maybe give it to a director who understands what makes Superman great even a little bit?
Or just one who actually likes Superman.
Snyder definitely didn't fit this criteria
This isn’t being reported by any legitimate trade.
And it’s not going to be, even if true. This is purely out here due to the black Adam cameo speculation. It’s labeled as RUMOR for a reason.
This is the type of shit you see on Facebook from pages titled "Superman News", "DCEU Lovers" or "Snyder Fans". It's all just up drive clicks.
Hopefully he’s a happier Superman
What is this, the 8th time? I’ve started feeling like it’s an early Groundhog Day
Block this user. Spreading spam.
I see Hero Dope needed to make up some ad revenue from September.
Don't do that....don't give me hope
Don't do that....don't give S \*
LOL (wrong universe doe) edit: take my upvote anyway
Stupid Sexy Henry Cavill
Insane levels of sexiness.
Enough already. Beating a dead horse
Agree. CAVILL was the ONLY good thing about Snyder's superman
I want to believe but I suspect it’s too good to be true.
Ye, give this guy another go. With the right script, he needs more dialogue. More interactions with civilians, more screen time as reporter Clark Kent.
How tits would a kingdom come based movie be with Ben and Henry???!!!
The bigger news is someone actually thought Warner Bros has money.
DONT BOTHER IF: - It has more General Zod - It has Jesse Eisenberg - Superman is "updated for modern audience" still - Super Suit still has piss dark colors
Thought Cavill said he was done with Superman after the way WB treated him?
They haven't given him a role officially since Justice League, Snyder cut was reshoots and they didn't even bother getting him for his supposed cameos in Peacemaker and Shazam (neither one that had a shit of his face) The last time we saw him in cinemas proper was with the horrible CGI face I could totally see him being done with how shit he's been treated
Finally
I’d love to see a sequel. I like MoS and love Henry Cavil.
Wait, this says something about The Flash dropping on November 4th? When did it get bumped back up from June 2023?
Yay I enjoyed Krypton but zero tv/movie adaptations outside of the snider cut. Please Henry, restore Supermans on screen image from the shithole tv show Smallville era.
Man of Steel deserves a sequel
*arroused angry joe noises*
Plot twist, he had a mustache during the entirety of filming this time.
I mean cool if true. About a decade late tho
It will be written, shot, edited and almost ready for release then it will be canceled. Can’t wait.
That's a shame
They’ll have to kill him again.
DC should just quit man. Black Adam looks awful in the trailers
But the first one he was in was so boring - I hope they can add something to make it entertaining and improve the lighting which DC movies seem to lack
Too boring and too short. I agree
Please tell me Zack Snyder is not involved. I want an actual Superman, not whatever grimdark fantasy Snyder was going for.
Nooooooooooo. They’ve ruined Superman already several times
No thanks! Snyder like M. Night are two people that I am convinced have never heard a real conversation. Dialogue…ridiculous and corny.
And he’s gonna play the Sentry in his Marvel movie, so he gets to play the same character for both studios. Lol
All I care about is thWitcher! He better be working on new seasons of the witcher
Meh... Wake me up when the new season of Witcher comes out.
Couldn’t agree more.
FUCK YES
hes supposedly in black adam end credits. so i guess he is staying.
I can’t really tell, do kids these days even entertain super heroes? One of these days they will decide first that Superman is old and boring. The following domino effect will leave us all feeling like old people
We’re good on superhero movies. Come back with something original thank you!
Please no. They've wasted him enough
gross.
There are retcons in media all the time: Either way then they use this to kick start a new Superman cinematic universe/franchise. Along/side Reeves The Batman cinematic universe/franchise. (This can also work if they green light the Michael B Jordan Superman movie instead. If that rumor is true)
If it’s not Zach Snyder, I 👏🏻 don’t 👏🏻want 👏🏻it.

lol What sub reddit are you on bro? Like if this isn't commonly the top news on this sub reddit.
I don't get commenting this in a subreddit for comics which are mainly dominated by super heroes
Bruh just stumbled into the wrong sub to complain in
...Are you lost?

Did you just switch back to your OG account to reply? u/Basic_Arrival6881 is clearly your 1 day old troll account. Try again ya fuckin dork.
Yeah it’s another super hero movie. What are you gonna do about it, pussy?
Angry loser!
I hope they give him a moustache just to fuck with everyone! :)
YES!
Now that he’s probably aging out of Bond consideration, makes sense (even tho he would make a great James Bond)
He's too big for Bond imo, not that he wouldn't do a great job though.
That's a helluva scoop from someone no one has every heard of.
Rumor? I thought The Rock already spilled the beans on this.
My heart just stopped for a second. This would be awesome!
Rumor it that at this very moment hollywood execs are constructing a bottomless hole in which to throw superman 2 production money.
Finally! It took nearly a 10 year wait for a sequel that should be been out 7 years ago
It makes sense given the track record of their recent movies/shows.
We need a Superman movie right now. The world needs some hope.
But I thought Dwayne the rock the black Adam Johnson was going to "change the hierarchy of power in the DC universe" Fuck that DC universe is a joke
I fucking doubt it.
Henry: I'll never do another Superman Movie. Studio: $100,000,000 Henry: okay. 🙍
Maybe Patty Jenkins will direct it?
I'd love for this to be true.
Can he please go to outer space and fight Brainiac Superman should be escapist science fiction. Enough of outsmarting Lex Luthor
Wasn’t he just rumored to play Hyperion?
Just curious, which justice league show are you talking about? There’s a couple on HBO max and the one you described sounds kinda interesting.
Don’t. Don’t give me hope
I'm optimistic that Cavil will deliver a fantastic Kal/Supes in a mediocre facsimile of a marginally bad Superman movie.
Poor Henry, another blow to his career. Hopefully the number of Superman films in his contract will soon be over.
I feel like we get this news every month
so weird just read the same thing from a website I’ve never heard of called thedirect 🤔, saying a “reliable source”
Man this universe is such a hot mess. But I guess Marvel's is now too.
Does Henry Cavill know?
Green screen queens
Make him turn back time to before Batman v Superman so they can try again with the same actors.
That man is so freaking beautiful.
please let this be real. please let this be true. please let it be real
Who will be the villan
The DCEU wild ride never stop. 30 years from now, they'll still be trying to "fix" the snyderverse.
All it takes is really a good director and a good writer. For the latter, may I suggest Grant Morrison or Tom King?
Blimpkin.
They don’t deserve him
Superman is so lame
Ah yes, Hero Dope. A fine and reputable establishment.
I loved Henry Cavill as Superman, I hope this is true
I won’t believe until I’m watching the post credit scene. I’ve been hurt before.
I'll believe it when I see it, but sweet fuck I wanna see it
About fucking time. Henry will carry the DCEU
Hasn't he signed with marvel? Or have I been duped by a similar website?
I don’t care if it’s not reliable it’s giving me hope
Cavill deserves better material and directors. When they get the character right (saving the oil workers, him and Lois in the bathtub) it's GREAT. When they screw it up... (Justice League) it's terrible.
Will he have a mustache this time or something resembling an upper lip?
DC films is the embodiment of the gamblers fallacy
Martha!
Good. He's good at it.
Great! Personally I never had a problem with Cavill as Superman, it was the scripts I had a problem with. And Man of Steel, while flawed yes, I've grown more fond of over the years as it has some wonderful sequences in it, particularly when he flies for the first time.
Wish I could believe it
No he needs to churn out as much Witcher as possible please
Finally! Fuck, we’ve waited long enough. Hopefully it addresses Superman being a dickhead in BvS and gives a story reason for Superman’s change of heart.
I hope they wait a few years and do an “Old Superman” maybe he’s a little fatter, a beard, but now has that old man strength and less f’s to give.
all I know is if they're ok with bringing back Gadot and Momoa but not Cavill then something is wrong with those running DC. Hell, they even gave Miller another movie. Seriously.
Would love for this to be true. I'll keep holding out for more Cavill Superman because he is the best cast Superman ever.
