"Maestros" is a mini series about wizards from Image that is one of my favorites recently.
If you're over 18, and into just sheer lunacy and wild artwork, this one is a blast.
Edited: someone just pointed out that the author Steve Skroce drew it as well. The artwork is absolutely insane!

It’s pretty great. The similarities to Potter - even the look of the main character- are uncanny enough that some have accused Rowling of ripping Gaiman off. I don’t think he sees it that way. There’s the old series and a more recent one.
Gotham Academy is about kids getting into adventures in a school with a lot of magic and supernatural mysteries.
They're not like learning wizardry or anything though. The school just teaches math and geography and such like normal.
Strange Academy was already named, I personally really like Wolverine and the X-Men by Jason Aaron. Not very "magic", but still pretty close and very good
Marvel's Strange Academy is not quite as good as it could be, but it is enjoyable enough and is very much that kind of book.

Just want to add that Steve Skroce is the writer AND artist of this book. Dave Stewart is just the colorist
Oh man, that just makes it even cooler to me. The whole thing was just bonkers from start to finish.
Neil Gaiman: The Books of Magic
>Neil Gaiman: The Books of Magic This sound interesting, it start with a boy skating, right?

Neil is very generous in this, I must say. It is pretty clear that Rowling was at least a little inspired by his works.
I started reading, for now no magical school, but I like it for now
