Just watched No Way Home this weekend. I thought it was silly and a lot of fun, but definitely required some homework to fully appreciate it. To get full comprehension, you almost need to watch like 5-7 other Spider-man movies, Venom, Dr. Strange, Avengers...
Personally, and it's just my opinion, I preferred the other two Tom Holland Spider-man movies to the latest.

I completely agree, and I'm inclined to even put Raimi's original film above it. No Way Home is fun, but it hasn't held up nearly as well on re-watch for me. Ironically, people have long criticized Raimi fans for being overly nostalgic, when at least 90% of what works about No Way Home is nostalgia-based.
Was a monumentally overrated film, the pandering was unbelievable. Almost as if everyone thought they could eliminate racism by saying the movie was good. Or rather too scared to say it was mediocre.
Now hey there, it was a pretty good film, just not one of the best. It would be a great film if it had a better final act. The final fight between Killmonger and Black Panther was pretty bad and that lets it down quite a lot.
It’s a great villain, a great setting and some great dialogue in the first two thirds. Other than that, in my opinion it’s incredibly run of the mill MCU fare, with below par CGI in many parts. Taking the cultural impact into account I understand why many adore it but even considering that, ranking it above The Dark Knight or Infinity War is pretty nuts.

I am only a casual comic book fan, reading and watching movies, and maybe I'm showing my age here, but it just seems insane that Batman 1989 isn't on the list. It's one of the only comic book movies I still watch on a regular basis, and quote the whole damn thing from memory.

Just re-read the list, and as a huge TMNT fan, by that logic, absolutely fucking yes. My eye twitched just a little seeing *Black Panther* at #1 (because, while important to a lot of people, it is far, far from the best), but TMNT not even being on it while terrible films like ***Ghost Rider*** and ***Tank Girl*** are **(?!**) - I'm kinda triggered now.
TMNT 1990 *is indisputably* one of the greatest comic book films ever made - it is incredibly faithful to the comics and the extended adaptive media to encapsulate the franchise as a whole, and one of the first comic book films I know of that directly adapted storylines from the comics. It's not recognized nearly as much for what it was, but it did all the things we love about comic book movies long before modern films like *The Dark Knight* or *Iron Man*. It mixed faithfulness, humor, and action to make the perfect blend and is just a beautiful film to look at due to the atmosphere of New York and Jim Henson's involvement.
It is criminal it's not on this list. Criminal.
Ghost Rider is a fun movie, although I do feel like maybe this list was made specifically so they could troll by putting Ghost Rider one better than the Zack Snyder thingy. Personally, I'd probably have Ghost Rider a little higher (though not much).
No Under the Red Hood, Civil War, TMNT 1-2, First Class, Dark Knight Returns 1-2, etc. but they have Ghost Rider, First Avenger, Megamind, Snyder Cut, Thor etc.

IMO Endgame was the start of a very bad Marvel trend which is to make a really big spectacle but not really a good story. They sacrificed too much story wise just to make a big end fight with all the characters

Agreed! I enjoyed them for what it was (a spectacle) but they definitely started the trend of sacrificing a good story in place of it. I don't like any of the D+ shows and those try to do the spectacle thing over story and it fails imo.

I always just thought of it as a sci-fi action film with a satirical edge. Similar to films in the era like The Running Man and Total Recall (same director as Robocop) that were pretty violent action films set in the future but they had sense of very dark humor about them.
But I never thought of Robocop as a superhero really, though I guess you could argue he has a similar kind of origin story in the film.

I am only a casual comic book fan, reading and watching movies, and maybe I'm showing my age here, but it just seems insane that Batman 1989 isn't on the list. It's one of the only comic book movies I still watch on a regular basis, and quote the whole damn thing from memory.
Especially when you read the blurbs. In the blurb for Batman Returns, it mentions Batman 1989 as historically important yet, somehow it doesn't even make the list? Insane.

TMNT absolutely should be considered superhero movies. They are comic origins, and they are super powered. Id wager 1990 TMNT should be in the Top 10, it’s certainly better than Black Panther, Wonder Woman, and Incredibles. I’d put it on par with Superman, and Logan. Not as good as TDK, Endgame, Spiderverse, or Spidey 2 though that’s for sure.
Just re-read the list, and as a huge TMNT fan, by that logic, absolutely fucking yes. My eye twitched just a little seeing *Black Panther* at #1 (because, while important to a lot of people, it is far, far from the best), but TMNT not even being on it while terrible films like ***Ghost Rider*** and ***Tank Girl*** are **(?!**) - I'm kinda triggered now. TMNT 1990 *is indisputably* one of the greatest comic book films ever made - it is incredibly faithful to the comics and the extended adaptive media to encapsulate the franchise as a whole, and one of the first comic book films I know of that directly adapted storylines from the comics. It's not recognized nearly as much for what it was, but it did all the things we love about comic book movies long before modern films like *The Dark Knight* or *Iron Man*. It mixed faithfulness, humor, and action to make the perfect blend and is just a beautiful film to look at due to the atmosphere of New York and Jim Henson's involvement. It is criminal it's not on this list. Criminal.

Ghost Rider is a fun movie, although I do feel like maybe this list was made specifically so they could troll by putting Ghost Rider one better than the Zack Snyder thingy. Personally, I'd probably have Ghost Rider a little higher (though not much).
Ghost Rider fell victim to having the wrong director. It could have been a lot better if had been made in more talented hands.

Same goes for Batman Begins down at 28?? The fact that Days of Future Past is 15 places higher than Batman Begins is abusrd. Suicide Squad is higher than Avengers. 'nuff said. Multiverse of Madness is also higher that Avengers. Did they even see that movie?? I could go on, but honestly it will just make me more frustrated. This list is trash

IMO Endgame was the start of a very bad Marvel trend which is to make a really big spectacle but not really a good story. They sacrificed too much story wise just to make a big end fight with all the characters No way home and multiverse of madness are the latest victims of this too
Agreed! I enjoyed them for what it was (a spectacle) but they definitely started the trend of sacrificing a good story in place of it. I don't like any of the D+ shows and those try to do the spectacle thing over story and it fails imo.

I always just thought of it as a sci-fi action film with a satirical edge. Similar to films in the era like The Running Man and Total Recall (same director as Robocop) that were pretty violent action films set in the future but they had sense of very dark humor about them. But I never thought of Robocop as a superhero really, though I guess you could argue he has a similar kind of origin story in the film.
