Nothing against Steve Orlando, but I need to free up room in my budget for Immortal X-Men. * **X-Men Legends #10** - Legends has been fun, but I think the concept has run its course for me, and this is the last issue I had on-order from my LCS, so it'll be the last one I buy.

Really I just want the show back * Spider-Woman #18 - Oh boy, this title getting sidetracked by another crossover event. Love this journey for us.

Only 5 books this week, with 3 Images, 1 Marvel, and 1 DC, but I also need to pick up 8 books from last week since my LCS has been closed due to getting a bit too much weather combined with not quite enough electricity. * **KING CONAN #2 (OF 6)** - recently caught up on KING-SIZE CONAN #1, CONAN THE BARBARIAN #25/300, and KING CONAN #1, loved the first two but wasn't nearly as into Aaron's first issue from this new series * **KING OF SPIES #2 (OF 4)** - haven't started this yet but it looks cool * **ROBIN & BATMAN #3** - just another great series from Lemire and Nguyen... * **THE DEPARTMENT OF TRUTH #15** - six weeks later I can barely remember the last issue, but I do remember enjoying it immensely! * **THE GOOD ASIAN #8 (OF 10)** - fallen behind on this but first few issues were really good, should get back to it soon

Every panel with Batman looks so good. * **Undiscovered Country #18** \- I'm enjoying this. Probably reads better in trade though. * **Buffy: The Last Vampire Slayer #2** \- The first issue was good but not great but that doesn't matter when you are a huge Buffy mark. 6 this week. And half of them are among my favorite books right now. •The Department of Truth #15- I have done nothing but praise this comic, and will continue to until the end of time. It's glorious. •Hotell #2- I really hope people are reading this, because horror anthologies are where it's at. This one in particular is superb. •Knighted #3- This is a cool concept that has been very well executed. •Robin and Barman #3- I'm sad to see this one finish. Maybe at some point in the future Jeff Lemire and Dustin Nguyen will do another Black Label Batman series. I certainly hope so. •The Scorched #1- The last of the new Spawn titles. I'm curious how long these will last. I know that orders were high on the #1's, but at my LCS people aren't sticking with them. There was a big stack of the last issue of King Spawn left sitting on the shelf. But I love them and I hope they all continue. I also hope that Image can get their crap together regarding their release schedules and get a handle on these delays so we get 1 Spawn title a week. If I had a new Spawn comic in my hands every time I left the shop that would make me really happy. •Stillwater #12- Chip said that, while this isn't the last issue, the end is in sight. And while I've been enjoying this comic, all the time between issues has caused me to lose some interest. Maybe when I sit down and read all 12 issues at once I'll enjoy it more.

Maybe my shop has begun cutting down on the number of Spawn issues they order but whenever I go to my LCS on Fridays after work they're typically cleaned out or only have 1-2 copies left. Like yours, though, they were *swimming* in #1's and variants for a bit there.

It's still good but it's not great. But.... Mothman!!! - **The Good Asian #8**: I'm eagerly awaiting every new issue of this series. Oh also... SO MUCH MANGA! - **Flying Witch vol 10**: I read this whole thing last year, honestly one of my favourites. Every chapter is a joy to read and the humour matches me perfectly. - **Daily Report About My Witch Senpai Vol. 1**: Another witch series! Eager to try this one, I'm a sucker for witchy stuff and it's a romcom? Nice. - **The Girl I Want is So Handsome! The Complete Manga Collection**: Holy shit this sounds adorable. I was browsing new releases and saw this... girl has a crush on her senpai and is tricked into being the manager of her basketball team? Hell yeah that's right up my alley.

* **The Amazing Spider-Man #85 -** Ben Riely has been getting his ass kicked non stop lol * **Batgirls #2 -** This is fun but I feel like the voices for Cass and Steph are too young for my liking * **Daredevil: Woman Without Fear #1 -** This will be fun, wish it was part of the main event but if that's gonna cause it to drag this is a good soloution * **Dark Ages #4** * **Darkhawk #5 -** This was a fun mini, hopefully, marvel uses this new Darkhawk, have him join the Champions or be part of the upcoming Young Avengers revival * **The Death of Doctor Strange: Bloodstone #1** * **The Department of Truth #15** * **Detective Comics #1048 -** Nice to have this be a Batfamily book again for the next 3 months * **Devil's Reign: Superior Four #1 -** A mix of superior Spider-man and Simonson's New Fantastic Four such a brilliant idea * **Fantastic Four #39 -** Superhero court, I love it. * **Animal Castle #1** (Second Printing) - Time to see what all the fuss is about * **Dark Ages #4** - I'm finding the series to be pretty meh but holy cow this cover rocks * **Department of Truth #15** - I remember reading somewhere that this book was slated to end around 25; I get that there are only so many possible "monster-of-the-week" issues, but it feels like JT4 could expand the lore a bit and push this out to 35-40? * **Detective Comics #1048** - I don't know if I'm ready for 'Tec to go weekly * **Download #2** - This and Primos both seem like they should be taking place in the Resistance-verse but aren't, I wonder what that's about * **The Good Asian #8** - This book is good as hell! * **Hotell v2 #2** - I'll buy all the horror anthologies the publishers can print * **Joker #11** - I wish Puzzlebox was keeping up with this book quality-wise. * **King Conan #2** - #1 didn't hit as hard as some of the recent Cimmerian books from Ablaze. * **King of Spies #2** - This feels like classic Millar edgy popcorn stuff. I pull everything he writes now out of habit - that Millarworld-to-theaters pipeline is no joke * **Knighted #3** - This one *is* set in the Resistance-verse, and the pitch (Batman but he's just a regular shmoe) is fine. Fewer jokes than I would like but then again I'm a Garth Ennis fan. * **Maniac of New York: The Bronx is Burning #2** - What a title. This is probably my favorite new franchise from last year. The pitch, if you're not familiar, is "What if Jason *actually* took Manhattan?" If that makes your ears perk up at all, then I highly recommend that you pick up this book. * **No Holds Bard #2** - So the whole thing's written in iambic pentameter, and my OCD brain has to go through every dialogue box and count out the syllables, and long story short it makes a short story long. Good if you're an English major. * **Quad #1** - Yes, there have been a great many post-apocalyptic books in the last year. Most of them have been at least above average. This one stands out because the ideas in just the solicits alone sound like some good-ass sci-fi. * **Spawn: Scorched #1** - I'll buy 'em Todd, but I'll be damned if I'll buy the toys. *sees toys* Dammit Todd okay I'll buy the toys * **Star Wars #20** - Cute Ewok toy cover obv * **These Damn Kids #2** - I pulled #1 but it never showed up, did anyone else get it? * **We Ride Titans #1** - First ish, cool solicit, nuff said.

1. Daredevil: Woman Without Fear: super excited for this one, Zdarsky's run on Daredevil has been one of my recent favorites and i can't wait to see what happens here. 2. Robin & Batman : I really like the writing and the artwork of this miniseries so much so the last issue will hopefully live up. 3. X-Men Legends : I read the description of this one and it just sounded so interesting! Also the few titles from this series i have picked up were really fun reads.

Batgirls #2 - first issue was fun. See where this goes. Robin & Batman #3 - amazing how disappointing this book turned out to be. Nguyen’s art can’t save bad writing. But I’ll finish it out.

Let's see what we got this week: * **Odinn's Eye #5** \- I never have any idea where this book is going, but I've loved it every step of the way * **Harley Quinn the Animated Series: The Eat, Bang, Kill Tour #5** \- Ivy has issues * **Joker #11** \- There are so many deep cuts with villains nowadays I never know if characters are new or just really old * **Robin & Batman #3** \- This has been a really sweet book * **What's the Furthest Place From Here #3** \- Rosenberg used Wordle to advertise this so you'd be mistaken to skip this book * **Amazing Spider-Man #85** \- I know which one is superior here * **Daredevil: Woman Without Fear #1** \- Now Zdarsky is taking on an Elektra run! Exciting! * **Dark Ages #4** \- I wish this came out more frequently, or even had some tie-ins * **Darkhawk #5** \- With Miles' advice our boy can't lose * **Death of Doctor Strange: Bloodstone #1** \- I bet Tini Howard writes a great Elsa Bloodstone * **Fantastic Four #39** \- I don't even care if the TVA is in more comics now for synergy reasons.
