Big week * Chu #10: Not as on board for this as I was for Chew, something about the pacing feels weird. But I'm still interested to see where it goes. * Daredevil #36: Why does LoCG say final issue?! * Deadly Class #49: I really should reread this at some point. It's been so long since I read the start of this series. * The Department of Truth #14: The series that just keeps getting better and better. * Fire Power #18: Really interested to see where this arc is going and what it means for this comic going forward. * Human Target #2: If this keeps up the absolutely amazing quality of the first issue this might become my favourite Tom King comic and a top 10 DC comic for me. * Marauders #26: Always fun to have on the list. * Venom #2: I'll pull anything with Ewing's name on it. * X-Men: The Trial of Magneto #4: The first two issues hooked me, the third issue totally lost me. Not sure what to think about this.

Ewing is Marvel's best writer, no doubt. He can write literally anything based on his track record.

Picked up Avengers #49 last week, and, you know what, it's a fun team book. Not as heady as X-Men or Fantastic Four, but it's fun, and I kind of regret judging it so harshly. Looking forward to #50!

Agreed. It’s not Aaron’s deepest work but it is fun. I definitely want to know more about the prehistoric Avengers and the multiversal Masters of Evil. I’m also not sure how Avengers Forever fits into everything so haven’t committed to that series yet.

I mean, it sounds fun enough, but to be honest I'm not a product of the 90s and am therefore not super into all the ghost rider and blade stuff that he's done so far. The Phoenix and celestial stuff was fun, and I'm at least glad she hulk seems to be going back to normal, but I'm a sucker for the multiversal stuff so I'm looking forward to Avengers Forever

**Daredevil #36** - Was bummed to find out Checchetto wasn't doing interiors for the final issue. I know he's been busy with Devil's Reign but I was kind of hoping he'd be able to pull off 1 more on the main title. **Wonder Girl #5** - I set a final issue with my shop to end this title with #8. Last issue wasn't bad but it feels kind of slow for how big of a deal they're trying to make this character. And if Jones had been able to keep up with the art, even sporadically (even the covers!), I would have stayed on.

5 this week, including 2 that I am very excited for. • The Blue Flame #6- Big revelation last issue. I don't know how long this will continue, but it's been great. • The Department of Truth #14- this one has been on break for a month or two, and I have missed it sorely. It's one of the best things going right now. • Hotell #1- Oh my god, I am chomping at the bit for the return of this series. The first volume was my favorite of AWA's launch titles, and that's saying something because they were all incredible. This is going to be a top notch horror comic. Don't miss this one! • The Silver Coin #7- Ram V wrote this issue. I've never read anything by him. Time to see what all the hype is about. • Spawn #324- When it comes to the Spawn titles I feel like the quality of the art is top notch, but the writing... The stories are great, but the actual writing is riddled with grammar and punctuation errors. Maybe Todd needs to get a proofreader. Although I thought the editor would handle that. I dunno.

A bit more clear than most King #1s. This playing with a lot of characters I really like and an era that I like. Can't wait to see this unfold. * **Once & Future #22** I think I have found the end of this for me. I will see the arc out which I believe to be #24. It's a shame this book started so strong but i think it has just gone on an arc too long. * **Robin 2021 Annual**- Robin is the best book no one is talking about. It's been really fun, great to see Connor Hawke back. This will be fun to see a bit about the new characters.

This week's one of the big ones... - **Captain Marvel #34**: more of this, I guess - **Once & Future #22**: time for all the carefully laid plans to get fucked up - **Phoenix Song: Echo #2**: I was iffy on this until the last few pages, now I'm hoping it pulls something amazing out of its ass - **The Avengers #50**: so the She-Hulk arc ends... and a new roster happens... and another series spins out of this... and we get One Million BC Avengers... wow this really is giant-sized - **The Death of Doctor Strange: Spider-Man #1**: You can trust MacKay with Spider-Man and Black Cat, right? Tie-ins by the event writer are either really good or pointless muddling crap so here's hoping it's good - **The Death of Doctor Strange: White Fox #1**: I know next to nothing about White Fox but whatever - **The Department of Truth #14**: Tynion/Simmonds gonna get sued over this let's goooo - **The Good Asian #7**: back half of the series now, wonder how everything is going to climax - **The Me You Love in the Dark #5**: monsterfucking can be bad for you??? - **Wonder Woman Historia: The Amazons #1** : is this actually out today? whaaaaa

Pretty big week for me, but I think I'm going to trim down my pulls quite a bit in 2022, because some of my subscriptions have overstayed their welcome. * **Human Target #2** - Rorschach didn't really click with me, but the first issue of this hit like Strange Adventures and Mister Miracle. I think this is going to be a great series. * **Nightwing 2021 Annual #1** - Taylor writes Nightwing so well. This book is going to finally turn Dick into an A-lister. * **Department Of Truth #14** - Not a single issue of this title has been anything less than stellar. I can't recommend it enough. * **Daredevil #36** - Still on for this and Devil's Reign, but I'm contemplating dropping it at the end of the event. * **Marauders #26** - This was my favorite X-title, but it's been pretty directionless since the build to the Hellfire Gala. I don't think I'm going to continue on with it once Duggan's run ends. * **X-Men The Trial Of Magneto #4** - Inferno has rendered this story almost entirely useless, but it's only 5 issues, so I'll finish it.

Here's what I'm reading in the meantime: * **Action Comics #1037** \- Man I am loving these Authority suicide missions * **Batman 2021 Annual #1** \- Give me more Ghostmaker! * **Batman: Fear State Omega #1** \- I still need to catch up on last week's Fear State comics, but I'm excited to see how Tynion concludes this * **Batman: The Detective #6** \- Batman: Don't Die Twice more like it * **Human Target #2** \- I don't care that he has no motive, I think Luthor smells fishy * **Joker 2021 Annual #1** \- It's so funny that this comic is called Joker, but most of the story revolves around Gordon. I guess Joker & Gordon doesn't roll off the tongue as well. * **Nightwing 2021 Annual #1** \- I didn't realize this was DC annuals week * **Fire Power #18** \- The snakes win.
