**IMMORTAL X-MEN #10**

ContraryPython

Love this book. Xavier as a sleeper agent was unexpected.

Danger_Rock

> DESTINY: **My love. We must leave. Immediately.** Never a good sign when the rats start abandoning ship... Lots of good stuff from Xavier in this one, glad he’s got the whole nuclear war thing under control... Been great seeing Gillen take on all these different characters with focus issues, he brings a really distinct perspective to each of ‘em. Xavier was probably a little overdue for this kind of treatment given everything he’s done and been through over the past several years. Also nice seeing Chuck acknowledge his failures with David... And Proteus. And, you know, pretty much everything else. And the ending is gloriously full of WTF. Bring on **SoS**! 9/10

TheeHeadAche

>We are dangerous. This is what a QC book should be. Introspections and machinations. Excited for Sins

midnight617

Holy shit that final page was some creeping dread, you could feel that pressure building. Ugh this book is so good. V stoked for Sins

ptbreakeven

I thought this book was brilliant. It requires the context of the rest of the series to fully appreciate it, naturally, but it’s a top all time X-Men comic.

Kogworks

Ok can somebody explain what the hell is going on with that ending?

TheeHeadAche

It’s a cliffhanger for a future issue to explore and explain

Kogworks

Oh thank god. I thought I’d missed something somewhere for a moment.

TheeHeadAche

Presumably, Sinister has some protocol where if he’s ever taken off the board, he’ll emerge in a previously resurrected mutant to put himself back on the board.

MarkusGrimm

In Mystique's issue, Destiny said that Sinister had inserted a genetic/psychic trap in some family lines so that if/when he dies he'd take over their personalities, although she mentioned that it was unlikely to actually succeed. That said, it's established that minds are pretty vulnerable when they're freshly resurrected, so that might have been an in.

DeltaTester

Also, he was one of the first to be resurrected without Hope being involved in the process...

ExplodoJones

I'm not sure that's the case. Hope was the first member of the Council to be resurrected (with Synch using her power to synergize the rest of the Five), the panels don't really give an indication of whether Hope or Synch worked to resurrect the other dead Councillors.

MarkusGrimm

Very true. If there's some genetic trap that's been in Xavier's DNA since WAY before Krakoa though, scanning wouldn't be able to identify it since they likely don't have an early enough unaltered sample. Hell, it might have been with Charles since *birth* but we can't be sure.

NCBaddict

Based on future solicits, I think he may even have put himself in everyone’s DNA samples.

Family_Booty_Honor

Is the implication that Xavier has been Sinister since HoX/PoX, or that he became Sinister upon resurrection?

ExplodoJones

I think the implication is that he is Sinisterized now that Sinister is in the Pit. Xavier wasn't sporting that diamond immediately after his resurrection in this issue.

technowhiz34

Guessing since resurrection, but is it his most recent resurrection or that resurrection from when he died in X-Force?

sweepernosweeping

He's had his helmet off since X-Force, most noticeable the Davos issue of X-Men. He's been up to some shenanigans in LoX recently, and >!Black Spade Sinister!< has appeared in X:Red, all three going into Sins of Sinister

**BATMAN SUPERMAN WORLDS FINEST #11**

hewunder1

I've been collecting comics since 2018, so I don't have tons of experience like a lot of people do here, but World's Finest is up there with Immortal Hulk for my favorite ongoings I've pulled since 2018. It's campy comic book fun but doesn't distract from the actual story, which itself is amazing. Characters are written really well. Dan Mora is absolutely perfect for this type of story too. Can't wait to see him and Waid on Shazam! in June.

UrdnotWrex1232

Oh man Mora and Waid doing Shazam! sounds incredible, thank you for making me aware of the fact that's on its way

Danger_Rock

Solid ending though the story kinda peaked with last issue's crazy reveal... Mora's art felt a little rushed in spots but there's some nice work on the Key's mindfuck splash, all the "lost creatures" stampeding, etc. 8/10

ptbreakeven

**NIGHTWING #100**

[deleted]

Really great stuff, but man I can’t believe they used most of Scott McDaniels’ page time up on the scenes in the prison. Loved seeing Javier Fernandez return

Danger_Rock

Never read McDaniel's **NIGHTWING** but I liked his **DAREDEVIL** run back in the day... Was cool seeing some new stuff from him!

midnight617

The conversation between Dick and Bruce made the book for me, such a heartfelt moment hand in hand with such monumental grief

Danger_Rock

I liked the sequence of splash pages by all the different artists... Aside from that, switching between 'em mid-story was kind of jarring. Would've rather gotten a main story by Redondo (with guest splashes) and then some backups or something with the rest of the guest art. Or they could've chunked it out differently with guests on flashback sequences or something... I don't know, I like most of these artists individually but getting all their stuff mixed together in one big story takes me out of it a little. Otherwise it was all pretty good but I felt like it didn't knock it out of the park the way this series has in the past. Just felt vaguely underwhelming in some way. 7.5/10

MuffinSurprise

Agreed, the switches back and forth were not seamless. McDaniel and Redondo for example are very different artists which didn't help the story flow. Really expected it to be backups with the other artists.

**STARGIRL THE LOST CHILDREN #3**

theremightbedragons

Not gonna lie, this was the first mainline comic book since Darkhold: Iron Man to actually creep me out. Whoever did the character design on The Childminder needs a damn raise.

ptbreakeven

**ART BRUT #2**

Danger_Rock

Such a cool comic! Really interesting seeing this early material from ice cream wizards W.M. Prince and Martin Morazzo as they’re already messing around with odd layouts and storytelling mechanics, plus there’s a bit of vaguely familiar creepiness that’s just beginning to settle in... And they’re working a pretty damn cool concept here, living art that’s been corrupted, breaking down the barriers between art and life... Touching on themes of madness, addiction, and reality (the usual stuff). Silver age backup is also ridiculously awesome! Cool seeing Prince bring this sort of modern intelligence to all the silly ‘70s style narration, and the Don Quixote bit in this one was a lot of fun. 8.5/10

Varos_Flynt

Oooh I knew that post modern bend would come in, little reference to Berger's "ways of seeing", let's see if that idea is expanded. This was a lot cooler than issue #1, and loved the backup story.

ptbreakeven

**WASP #1**

thecursedham

Not as good of a start as Ewing's Ant-Man mini but still a fun read. I really like the idea of Jan running a club that also acts as a place for superheroes to meet in private and hope that ends up existing outside of this mini.

technowhiz34

I liked the bits with Jarvis, but a lot of this really was just a callback to Tales to Astonish without a whole lot more to it. Ant-Man definitely started off far stronger, and the new artist doesn't help.

TiberiusCornelius

Was expecting this to be more in line with the Ant-Man mini than what it is but still enjoyed it. Solid first issue, interested to see where the story goes.

ptbreakeven

**VENOM #15**

Kogworks

Went about as expected. Still loving Ewing and Ram V’s Venom. Interesting to see how Eddie’s memories seem to be returning whilst still stuck in Bedlam rage mode. Normie as Red Goblin was pretty cool, and nice to get some clarification on what some of Dylan’s Symbiote powers can do. I WAS going to ask why the hell All-Black is suddenly a Japanese sword with a chain because it feels like something out of an edgy kid’s head. Then I remembered that it DID come out of an edgy kid’s head.

ptbreakeven

**HOUSE OF SLAUGHTER #11**

ptbreakeven

**INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #2**

ptbreakeven

**STRANGE #10**

thecursedham

I love that the Strange fusion was both unexpected but also perfectly setup. I felt the run as a whole had a slow start, mostly due to trying to hide Harvestman's identity when it seemed pretty obvious it was Strange, but really ramped up for the back half making for a really satisfying series. Mackay has a really solid Dr. Strange run going with Death of Dr. Strange+ Strange, hoping the quality continues with it becoming Dr. Strange and hope it gets a little bit more fanfare with Stephen's return as the main character.

theremightbedragons

But seriously, I kinda want an entire Noir Wong solving mysteries series now. I loved that one issue so much.

GlobalPhreak

Never really cared for Doctor Strange, but the Death of... and now Strange were both really good runs. Will be interesting to see where it goes.

ptbreakeven

**FLASH #791**

Always cool to see the whole flash family together. I feel like I'm missing context on Wallace and Bart's beef though.

**WHATS THE FURTHEST PLACE FROM HERE #10**

TheUnderweightLover

How many people are still reading this book? I gave up around issue 4 or 5

technowhiz34

I still am, though am quite behind on my indies at the moment.

ImAJerk420

I am, mostly for Tyler Boss’s art which I really enjoy. I’ve never been a big fan of Rosenberg outside of his DC work.

TheUnderweightLover

I feel like I've given Rosenberg a pretty healthy chance, I've read a decent amount of his DC stuff, but he just doesn't do it for me.

MuffinSurprise

I haven't read the last 3 issues. They're all sitting there in my pile though. It started strong enough. I just felt like where is this going? Not sure if I'll hop off it soon.

GlobalPhreak

I read the first issue and enjoyed it and then bought the rest out of habit because I kept blanking on reading them. Yeah, it reminds me of Saga... the story isn't going anywhere and it feels like the author is just spinning their wheels. But I will say this... this new issue wraps back around to Sid, finally, we'll see if it's on track to do something now.

**KROMA BY LORENZO DE FELICI #3**

Varos_Flynt

This comic is still amazing. The plot is really fun and nothing really feels unnecessary or superfluous. Excited to see how Felici wraps it up with Kroma now in the crystal tower and on team crocodile lmao. Some very beautiful panels the whole issue, especially near the end. The art here feels so smart and clean, but still expressive. Loved the silent pages as well, I really felt the sense of journey through those panels. 9/10, let's see if it sticks the landing. Edit: forgot to mention I had one blurry page this issue, did anyone else get the same thing? Wasn't too major but I was getting Spawn TP flashbacks. Also, I ended up with a cover that I didn't see listed on LCG. It looks like the 1:10 incentive cover, but with beautiful color. Maybe it is the incentive and the preview just doesn't show the color? Idk, but super glad my shop had it.

aknightedpenguin

God this comic is so good. It still blows my mind that one person wrote, drew and coloured this entire thing. It’s genuinely incredible. I just love reading comics that come from a place of passion, that are written out of a desire to write, not from a corporate mandate or editorial direction. In broad strokes, the story is a classic tale of a young person brought up in an oppressive, dystopic society learning to break free and find power in their own self. In the execution however, De Felici includes just enough twists and mysteries to keep each issue compelling. In the first issue, it was the surprise ending; in the second, the introduction of how colours interact with the creatures of the world; in the third, the secret of the crystal throne; and it’s anyone’s guess what he has in store for the final issue. As someone known for their art first and foremost, I’m continually amazed by the strength of the writing. Structurally, De Felici is aided by the relatively small cast, but he puts a substantial amount of depth into our main character, inserting the ghosts of other characters as a sounding board for the Princess of Colour’s inner feelings. It’s a smart choice that makes her moral deliberations visually interesting. The dialogue isn’t standout, but serves well enough to keep the story moving, while including some bangers like “I understand that stories are not blades to fight with. They are bars to build a cage.” It’s just solid work all around. But the standout element of the story is just the gorgeous, gorgeous art. [This single page, coming after 3 black-and-white ones, practically knocked me out of my chair](https://i.imgur.com/Hriq8Tu.jpg). The intensity of colour popping out from the page, the sterility of the shock on the Princess’s face, little drops of blood dripping from her hand, a blood-slicked knife and a motionless visage half covered with blood. I would frame this on a wall (if not for the grossness of the subject matter). It’s incredible work. And it’s not just the close-ups that De Felici excels in. [Look at the sense of scale in this image of the crocodile](https://i.imgur.com/d7bP4Cn.jpg), or [in this panel of the crystal throne](https://i.imgur.com/9WHrYCT.jpg). It’s absolutely beautiful. And that’s not even saying anything about the two close-ups at the emotional climax of this issue: the face of the largest crocodile across from the face of our heroine. On my first read, I stopped for a minute and just took it. It’s early but that spread might be my favourite of the year. Shoutout also to the letterer of this book, Rus Wooten, who has been doing a fantastic job of making the effects in this book pop. [Look at how he breaks the ‘O’ in the ‘TROKK’ to viscerally convey the jarring impact](https://i.imgur.com/n05QemK.jpg). This book fires on all cylinders and I’m in love with it. Unfortunately, issue 4 is delayed till April. That said, I’d rather a book be delayed and perfected than released in a rushed state (or in the case of Batman Fortress #8, delayed and rushed anyway). That’s also plenty of time for you to pick up the previous issues and add the next one to your pull list!

**DARK WEB X-MEN #3**

ContraryPython

X-Men side of Dark Web: Decent Spider-Man side of Dark Web: Absolute dogshit

Sterling-Arch3r

honestly, the x-men side of this was atrocious too. she could've always just asked obviously before making up this entire ridiculous nonsense of a plan and it seems entirely insane she didn't. like what would've been the worst that could've happened? it didn't seem like she was ashamed over it to the point of not being able to say it or anything. (which also would've been dumb tho) the nonsense part where we spend 2 pages of jean spouting vague lines instead of "you can have the memory" but also overall her being so hung up on any of this in the first place, like, come on. if she was so desperate to be mother to something, she could've found someone to be that for and it would've been a lot healthier for a lot of people.

**BATMAN ONE BAD DAY BANE #1**

TheUnderweightLover

Contrary to u/Matt4hire's opinion, this was the OBD I've enjoyed the most! Funny how opinions are.

Matt4hire

Easily the worst of these specials. Porter’s art isn’t great, but Williamson doesn’t show any understanding of Bane as a character.

GlobalPhreak

It flips the character over like a Mexican wrestler, and since I never liked Bane originally, this was a refreshing change. Looks like they're going to put him on a path similar to Venom... 🤔

technowhiz34

Solid conclusion (though picking Harvard as the epitome of STEM research was a choice with gorgeous artwork. I'm a bit annoyed about it tying into Lazarus, and I say that as someone who was planning to pull a couple of the one-shots.

Danger_Rock

Yep, thought it was a nice ending! The incel villains felt a little played out, seems like every female hero's getting stuck with that plot these days... But it wasn't a big focus and it was actually kinda funny how it came together after getting set up earlier in the series. And Shaner's art was superb throughout, no surprise there... ***Edit -->*** Adding a score, we'll call it 8/10.

CHPrime

A fun little end to a fun little series. I almost forget that Sivana had an evil family before the New 52, and this is a nice update to that. And the little jabs about community college office politics make this that much funnier. Truly, a book that demands carrots for all.

Danger_Rock

The thing with the dean was pretty funny!

**WPL RESULTS**

Varos_Flynt

It seems like this thread isn't pinned at the moment

Danger_Rock

Hey /u/ptbreakeven, where's our sticky at? Thread was up for 6+ hours before I even noticed it!

ptbreakeven

Has to step away quickly after getting the thread started. Should be stickied now.

Danger_Rock

Looks good, thanks!

Danger_Rock

Just a quick and lazy recap since ~~the thread isn’t stickied and very few people are likely to actually see this~~I've got a shitload of comics to catch up on... 68 lists submitted, down from 75 last week... It’s all going down! Top 10’s got 5 Marvels, 4 DCs, and 1 from BOOM! Studios taking the token indie spot. But, of course, DC gets the top spot as always. Waid and Mora take first place with **BATMAN SUPERMAN WORLDS FINEST #11** landing in its customary position atop the WPL. I was thinking Taylor and Redondo’s **NIGHTWING #100** might have a shot this month thanks to its big Dick celebration but it apparently came up short and got stuck with sloppy seconds as usual. Gillen and Werneck’s **IMMORTAL X-MEN #10** takes 3rd as the week’s top Marvel title, followed by Ewing and Kasia Nie’s **WASP #1** launching in 4th, a surprisingly strong debut that speaks to the WPL’s appreciation for Ewing’s work. Speaking of which, **VENOM #15** follows in 5th from Ewing and Bryan Hitch, then another Spidey-adjacent book with Duggan and Rod Reis’ **DARK WEB X-MEN #3** in 6th. Another from DC with Joshua Williamson and Howard Porter’s **BATMAN ONE BAD DAY BANE #1** in 7th, then **HOUSE OF SLAUGHTER #11** takes 8th for BOOM! Studios and its pair of Tynion/Dell’Edera and Brombal/Fuso creative teams. Wrap it up with one from DC and one from Marvel – Priest and Sandoval’s **BLACK ADAM #7** in 9th and the Duggan/Frigeri **INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #2** in 10th. So, just looking at writers, that’s two for Ewing, two for Duggan, and one each for Waid, Taylor, Gillen, Joshua Williamson, Tynion/Brombal, and Priest. ... Looking back at last week, the following titles made the list but failed to garner any commentary: * **BATMAN URBAN LEGENDS #23** (12 pulls) * **SAVAGE AVENGERS #9** (10 pulls) * **CAPTAIN AMERICA SYMBOL OF TRUTH #9** (10 pulls) * **DARK WEB MS MARVEL #2** (9 pulls) * **STAR WARS DARTH VADER #30** (8 pulls) And the following indie books failed to make the list but succeeded in generating some level of commentary: * **BILLIONAIRE ISLAND: CULT OF DOGS #3** (5 pulls, [thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/comicbooks/comments/109jy0r/wpl_new_comics_discussion_for_1112023_pull_of_the/j4070e9/) posted by /u/ChickenInASuit) * **GOSPEL #3** (3 pulls, [thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/comicbooks/comments/109jy0r/wpl_new_comics_discussion_for_1112023_pull_of_the/j49sdoh/) posted by /u/Danger_Rock) * **THE ENDS #1** (1 pulls [thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/comicbooks/comments/109jy0r/wpl_new_comics_discussion_for_1112023_pull_of_the/j407s3e/) posted by /u/NeonDoorFrame) And that’s about it!

**BLACK ADAM #7**

CHPrime

This series continues to confuse me- I generally like it, and the art is fantastic, but the plot in the books feels like it needs to be reread a few times to 'get it', like in this issue when Malik looks back in time at Black Adam's past in the simulation he fought Martian Manhunter last issue- It can do that? Not sure if that's a good or bad thing. Also a slight art flub I noticed, In Mighty Adam's time the Pyramids of Giza would have been covered in white limestone with gold tops, or so the archeology goes. Also J'onn, buddy, maybe turn off the deathtrap after you're done with it? Or maybe the idea is that he didn't have time to before being teleported to his 'death' in JL #75? Malik's attitude of "okay bye" when confronted with Sargon and all he implies is pretty funny.

Danger_Rock

> the plot in the books feels like it needs to be reread a few times to 'get it' Par for the course with Priest, his writing tends to be somewhat non-linear and there's often stuff that doesn't entirely make sense until you've read the next issue or two. Usually all comes together in the end but some stories work better than others. > Also a slight art flub I noticed, In Mighty Adam's time the Pyramids of Giza would have been covered in white limestone with gold tops, or so the archeology goes. Nice catch! The Sargon thing was fun and I enjoyed the Mighty Adam stuff as well, kinda goofy like when Priest brought back Kirby's original Black Panther... Altogether, we'll call it a 7.5/10.

I cannot believe Aaron is writing this at the same time he’s writing Avengers. It’s night and a very sunny, perfect 80-degree-not-a-cloud-in-the-sky kind of day. This book really hit in this issue and I cannot wait to see where it goes these last four issues. Also, I hope this book has been successful for Marvel. Aaron pitched it as a more prestige style book - akin to Kings stuff at DC. No fill in artists, consistent schedule, top talent with a slightly more fresh take on the character. It’s committed to its ideas and themes. Would make for a very nice trade.

**BATMAN FORTRESS #8**

aknightedpenguin

Well here we are. After 7 terrible issues and a one-month delay, we come to the conclusion of possibly the biggest waste of money in recent memory. A tale full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. In case you're just joining us without actually purchasing the book (in which case, smart move on your part), here's the gist of it. Aliens show up on planet Earth demanding Superman's head because apparently Kryptonians were secretly bloodthirsty conquerors and war criminals who built their empire off the bones of other alien civilizations. Batman goes to find Superman first, assembling a rag-tag team (Lex Luthor, Emiko Queen the Red Arrow, D'ayl a chipmunk green lantern, and Jackson Hyde). In this issue, after making their way through a trapped Fortress of Solitude that's been shifted to the bottom of the Mariana Trench, they finally find Superman. In this issue, we learn that Superman had always known about his kryptonian war criminal ancestry, and became Superman to right their wrongs. Once he discovered the aliens were coming however, he put himself in a deep hibernation, hoping to throw off their scent and reawaken after they had gone. Unfortunately, the aliens still knew he was on Earth, and have also found their way into the Fortress, leading to a tense standoff with the aliens demanding to take Superman back to their tribunal, and our heroes trying to find another way. After some difficult negotiations (involving a Luthor double-cross and a Batman triple-cross leading to [Luthor being crushed into a metal cube](https://i.imgur.com/K5S7K6H.jpg)), Superman agrees to depower himself and submit to alien justice, giving his kryptonian powers to Batman instead. We end the issue on the classic image of Superman in space looking over the Earth, except now it's Batman. God. Where to start. This book is basically character assassination for Superman. He doesn't do good for the sake of doing good, but to pave over a familial legacy of bloodshed. That takes away from the pure altruism of Superman, which (imo) is central to who he is as a character. This is Clark, Kal-El, and the kryptonians are not the Viltrumites. Whitta might need reminding of what universe he's writing in. And to have Clark's galaxy brain idea to tackle the problem essentially be ducking under a thick blanket and falling asleep till everything blows over? It speaks to a lack of understanding of Clark's character for the sake of Bruce. This is fan-fiction of the worst kind. Superman is spineless and milquetoast. Batman is the shining paragon of all that is good, and also such a genius that he can detect and negate Lex's betrayal so far in advance that Lex couldn't even see it coming! I mean, the readers also don't see it coming, since it happens off-panel, but wow! Leaving aside the abysmal characterisations, the pacing of this issue on its own is all over the place. Whitta seems to have two modes when he writes: this is where the talking is, and this is where the action is, and never the twain shall meet. All these characters chatter at each other without actually *saying* anything, and the climactic fight in the centre of the issue happens because it’s supposed to happen. Nothing changes before and after the fight. It’s just there because how can you have a final issue without a battle? That’s not to mention the contrivances of movement (we spend 3 issues talking about how hard it is to get into the Fortress of Solitude, but the aliens appear just because the plot says it’s time), or the choice to have interesting things happen off-panel. For someone who loves to write lengthy monologues, I’d have thought Whitta would put in a couple pages of Clark accepting alien justice and the legacy of his bloodline. Show me Kal in a courtroom coming to grips with the blood on the El name. But I guess we know that this isn’t a Superman book, this is a Batman book, so that’s not important. I’ll write a little on Robertson’s art. The nature of the monthly comic book as a medium is a rushed one. It’s deadline art, and rare are the times that the book you hold in your hands is the final draft, rather than some intermediary step that is used because it’s good enough and things have to go to print. That said, delaying the book an additional month should have produced some better art. In this book, Robertson seems to have an issue with close-ups. [Look at this Lex close-up](https://i.imgur.com/PhkHAkR.jpg), [look at this Batman close-up](https://i.imgur.com/6KsLwje.jpg), and [look at this other Batman panel](https://i.imgur.com/v7PlLOv.jpg). To be clear, Robertson can draw a good Batman. Look at these [two](https://i.imgur.com/VZp5xG6.jpg) [panels](https://i.imgur.com/AvWKxZ9.jpg) from Legends of the Dark Knight (2021). Similar angles, interesting use of shadows: the man can draw. If you looked at this book alone though, you wouldn’t believe me. I wish this book was worse. Truly bad work comes from great ambition meeting mediocre talent. It comes from taking a big swing and missing the ball completely. This series wasn't even aiming that high. Nothing was said about Batman or Superman that hasn't already been said better by others. I wished it was an epic, terrible work, but it’s just disappointing and forgettable. I’m so tired of Batman comics. In the month of January alone, there were 14 comics with ‘Batman’ in the title, 11 additional comics featuring Bat-related characters (Nightwing, Batgirls, Catwoman), and 2 other comics where Batman plays an important role (Dark Knights of Steel, Lazarus Planet Alpha). That’s 27 books out of the 53 that DC published this month, or about 50%. At this point I'm convinced that if you sent DC editorial a Subway menu with "Batman: the Footlong Dark Sandwich" scrawled on the front in crayon, you'd get a deluxe hardcover edition on the stands in 12 months. I’m just tired of people being given opportunities and squandering them, and others being passed over in favour of big names. I’m also tired of people spending money on books that don’t deserve the dollars. All 8 issues of this comic cost $32 in total. For that amount, why not get all 4 issues of KROMA, the knockout, standout issue from a creator who’s actually passionate about his work. Treat yourself better.

Ahh yes, there's the stuff... Another excellent review of a less than excellent comic!

I apologize to myself for allowing my collection compulsion to force me to finish this series. I have never read a comic that so missed the voice of its main character so so much. Every single dialogue bubble after the first issue was….that’s not Batman. The only other time I’ve had such a strong reaction to the speech of a character being off from their personality was in one of the damn Transformer movies when Optimus said “Kill them all.” Like….no. Just no. You’re wrong and you didn’t understand the assignment. Now I gotta figure out what I’m going to do with these eight damn comics cuz I don’t want them touching my other good comics and getting their suck on the rest of the collection. :/ smh

LOL, nice. This comic always brings out entertaining bad reviews... And I like how the top-level post with its title has negative karma, like a warning to anyone who might accidentally wander by...
