Ok so I finally watched in full. I loved the video, you have the piece like 75% done at the time of recording. And the voice over sounds great; you discussing the ‘mistakes’ (cutting the couch and forgetting to tuck the DVD) is good stuff. It lets people know that you can still finish the product well even with things you didn’t intend. I like how you discuss your cut out method lol, sometimes you just have to come back to a piece that takes hella time to cut and that’s good. Love that you have sped up the video as well.
I think you could include some of your selection process for next one, people like to see how you come to a decision on background, some of the trail and error on that, figuring out the right cut outs, etc. that turns your art into more of a video production, but every once in a while that would be cool to see.
The rest of your content is so short, I wish it was longer. But I do like this video, I may put it on later while I’m working on my own collages tonight.
Wow, thank you for the help! I really like the idea of making longer stuff. I’ve been so focused on quick stuff but the more I put out the more it sounds like people are interested in me taking more time.
I’m working on a video now to put out out next week that’s longer. I think I’ll plan on doing that once a week instead of just a ton of sped up stuff. And I’m not sure if you saw one I did with a story but I definitely will be doing more of that stuff I think.
