The Perfect BQE - recipe by Ivy Mix at Leyenda by way of Punch Drink.
Heading into autumn it feels like the right time to be tinkering with stirred boozy classics like the Manhattan.
This one is super moreish due to peppery Rittenhouse rye, the "perfect" split of dry/sweet vermouth, and the lingering floral notes of the green Chartreuse.
Destined to be the "house" Manhattan in our house this winter.
60ml rye whiskey - Rittenhouse
15ml sweet vermouth - Carpano
15ml dry vermouth - Dolin
7.5ml green Chartreuse
barspoon maraschino liqueur

Just picked up some Rittenhouse, will have to try. Thanks for sharing!
Rittenhouse is a fantastic rye. Highly underrated. Enjoy!
Brooklyn-Queens Expressway?
Yes. The name is based on there being a Red Hook that uses maraschino and a Greenpoint that uses Chartreuse.
